Review New Chef - Sandton

Very impressive first visit. Well-appointed establishment, inside and outside dining, with tasteful finishes. Very good food ... I am not too sure of other items on the menu. Will certainly visit again ...

We went in for lunch this Sunday. The restaurant is within a shopping complex so there is sufficient parking. The restaurant was very quite and we were seated immediately. Upon seating, we were provided with table snacks while we read the menu. This was served with 2 chutneys. For my main I had the chicken Malabar. This was noted as the chefs speciality at the restaurant. I was asked on the level of spice in must be prepared in and I said hot. This was flavourful and not to spicy at all. The portion size was generous. The meal comes with rice but I chose to have it with Rogani Naan as an extra. The service was good and we were satisfied. The waitor was friendly. The atmosphere was mediocre. They did have soft music playing in the background which was nice. The tables could have been a kept a bit neater as the was spills and some burnt table clothes but the food made up for it. Furthermore the restaurant is on the entainertainer and it's buy one get one free for the curries (at the time of writing the review). I would return to try other options and hope the atmosphere picks up.

We came to this centre looking for Chinese food and ended up eating here. Really appreciated the waiter and his diligence to serve and he did it so well. Food was amazing. Worth a try.

Great food, in a small hidden shopping complex. They have a rocking butter chicken, I'm not one for spice but they do have the ability to bring the heat with flavour. If you catch them on a good Friday night they have an awesome guitar soloist who really keeps the vibe and can make a great night if you bring friends and family. They do delivery as well, and the pricing is really good..

We ordered 3 different curries of different spice levels, and they were so fantastic. We were really full at the end of our meal. Portions are big. All the mains serve with steamed basmati rice. It’s a nice restaurant and I’m surprised it wasn’t more crowded. Prices were good for what you get.

A lot of places nowadays look the part with thier fancy decor but don't deliver on food. Honestly the food was so good! Staff were very attentive. We paid R 380 for three curries. All curries were delicious. We had leftovers and easily could've fed four for that price. Will visit again hopefully soon.

Excellent dining experience. We booked a table for 10 people. All my guests were happy. Brilliant service, very neat and clean place, lower prices, large food portions and very friendly staff.

Aloo Cheese paratha a must try here at New Chef. Best paratha ever.

After a year of trying to find the perfect Indian restaurant in JHB, I came across this little gem in Petervale. The curries are amazing, the lamb korma and a garlic naan being my absolute favourite and go to. Why New Chef is the top pick for me is not only the amazing tasting food or the affordable prices, but also the amazing service I receive every time I walk through the doors from Anil and the rest of the staff.

A great walk in place with amazing food. The food came out quick and hot. The flavors were amazing and everything came out perfect. We had Dal Makhni, Paneer Makhni, Aloo mater gobhi. Delicious food. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this place to everyone looking for Delicious and Authentic Indian foods! I will definitely be back for more!

One of my favourite restaurant to grab quick take aways. Easy parkings. Chicken chowmien is really good.
