Review Kiyota Sushi - Sandton

I love this place! The sushi is amazing! Go for the Kiyoto rainbow roll. This is what made me fall in love with the place.

Good sushi at reasonable prices (comparing other similar establishments in the area). Always friendly and hospitable. Hot food is also pretty decent. Usually eat here every other week and haven't been disappointed
Alicia Muller
These people are amazing they are family orientated. The sushi buffet is out of this world. They are always trying out new sushi and it's always delicious. Absolutely a must go!

Amazing all you can eat sushi and friendly staff
Rudi Van Rensburg
This is the BEST SUSHI restuarant I have ever been too, I have never been so satisfied, I Love this place.
Alon Berman
Great service and sushi. Only two deserts but the deep fried ice cream is all you need!
Rod Campbell
Very very good no complaints you should try a great meal there. I honestly recommend this Chinese restaurant

Good value for money and good quality sushi and Chinese food.

Nice comfortable place to sit down for a lunch. Prices aren't bad either.
Rachelle Armstrong

This place has been closed
Down I repeat this place is closed down. I have come to morning glen to check it out today and I was told that it is permanently closed

Ordered a green curry, sweet and sour chicken, and chicken spring rolls. Only the spring rolls were edible. Extremely disappointed with the curry and the sweet and sour dish - the pictures on the menu are so deceptive!

Authentic sushi with a delicious twist backed by fantastic service is the order of the day at kiyota sushi soon to be known by the rather nondescript name of Real Kung Fu sushi.

That said it's worth a visit if only to be delighted by the animated charm of Li and their brilliant sushi chef. They have all the favorites including some with unique twists, which we thoroughly enjoyed .. Accompanied by premium Saki

Sushi with an Anime swist, traditional and contemporary. Did not need to place an order, Li has spoilt by feeding us wonderful off the menu items, a true Chef creating deliscious treats incluging Edamame served fresh, slightly salty and hot. This is a true hidden gem. ReVino

Definitely a safe option for good sushi. Sat at the sushi bar and tried out different options that I wouldn't usually go for! It was very tasty! If you want good sushi and willing to try out some interesting options, give the place a try. May not be the fanciest but its still a great choice for a night where the sushi craving hits and you're in the area.

This spot has definitely been added to my list of good sushi places, good fresh taste and value

Had the Spicy Salmon hand roll and Spicy Salmon California Rolls. Keen to try out the other options

The sushi is decent, the service is decent, but nothing special about this place. The atmosphere in the restaurant is also quite cold due to the rather large size of the restaurant and the setup. It missed the mark of a quaint Japanese sushi place, and also missed the mark of a proper Japanese restaurant, and as such it floats between the two.

Maybe I've been spoilt when it comes to sushi, but for some reason kiyota didn't live up to the expectations its reputation has created. The service wasn't very good as the waitress forgot a number of things I ordered, and their options were quite limited on the night that I went. Having said that they do have a great all-you-can eat option that works out really well for anybody with the capacity to actually each more than R100 worth of sushi. I went in April for a birthday and they put together a great birthday platter for the birthday girl too, which was a nice touch.

After struggling to decide what we want for dinner we finally decided on SUSHII!! So we took a friend to Kiyota Sushi for his Birthday and had a great time!! Prices are great for what we got! Had some delicious Wine and even got a surprise dish for the birthday boy together with a song!! :-)) Walked away satisfied and super happy with our choice!

Needed some take-away sushi and happened tone in this centre so decided to give Kiyota a try! Sushi was decent but not amazing. They are a bit shy when in comes to the fillings especially the salmon. The staff who assisted with my order were friendly and helpful.

I was hungry and looking for a healthy, quick option for lunch. Look, polystyrene containers are never flattering, but the contents were good. I had the salmon hana & a salmon hand roll...it was fresh and appetizing. Affordable too.
Good sushi but not always the greatest quality in terms of piece size when compared to other places in the area. Not my first choice in the area but prices are not bad!

This place has been revitalised recently and is my favourite for all-you-can-eat sushi in Sandton. Price is tops and variety is impressive. R135 for AYCE which includes sushi, spring rolls, miso soup, dumplings and a bunch of other things. Give Kiyota a chance and you will be pleasantly surprised.

Kiyota Sushi is not my first choice when it comes to Sushi. Its one of those kind of all you can eat kind of budget sushi spots which is not really my thing. I prefer quality over quantity.. However if you hungry, love sushi and are on a budget then it will do just fine. Service is pretty efficient as well.

This restaurant is not one of my favourites as I feel they have a very limited menu and there is nothing special that I have eaten here where you cannot find at other restaraunts that are similar. If you do want a quick bite and you are in the area I would recommend the chinese food over the sushi.
Richard
Great budget sushi and fantastic service. Don't expect world class food if you're not paying for it. Sushi buffet is great when you come hungry

Not good at all - had a sizzling beef which turned our to be boiled 'Bok Choi' with 4 pieces of beef . So sad to see such deterioration - won't be open for long ! Not sure about the sushi - definitely won't spend a cent more here .. Bad wine and food - life is too short to have a bad meal

I never ate the sushi but the the rest of the menu is terrible. Got 5 tiny pieces of beef in my beef chopsuey. Same goes for the sizzling beef. I must add, it was so bland for Asian food. Not coming back!

Been here twice and the sushi was great! The sushi with strawberries and cream cheese is delicious and very different! Their salmon roses are amazing and not your traditional salmon roses with mayo and caviar on top...I would definitely recommend those! The ambience is a bit dead though so we just come here for the great sushi and not the vibe.

my friends and i ordered food from Kiyota Sushi in morning glen on Sunday night, we all got food poisoning. i will never order food from Kiyota Sushi again!

I took my daughter to this restaurant yesterday for lunch. We were the only patrons in the restaurant. We ordered sushi and sizzling beef. The sushi came immediately and we waited for the hot meal to arrive. Half an hour later we still hadn't got our meal, I had an appointment, and had to ask for the meal to be a take away. We still had to wait another 15 minutes.
When I asked why it took so long I was told that they only had one chef. WE WERE THE ONLY PATRONS. Hugely disappointed , and will not go back.

Awesome sushi at an even better price. They do have an all you can eat special with a few limitations which is a reasonable choice especially for sushi eaters like me. Their salmon skin hand rolls are fabulous.

Even the wok dishes and tepenyaki are tasty and fresh. Love the calamari tepenyaki and the Udon soups.

Service and decora bit from the eighties. Great food and value for money!
Colette Ross-Symanowitz
The worst chinese I've had, bland and tasteless and watery
Zoe Lansdell
I love my sushi but will never go out and spend an extravagant amount of money on it. This place is great for a quick lunch with the girls to catch up. It doesn't have a great vibe but it's pleasant and the sushi itself is very good and decently priced. If you want to pop in for a quick lunch you can take a seat at the conveyor table or you can grab a seat at the table. If you're in a hurry I would recommend the conveyor because the service every time I've been there has been pretty un-attentive and slow. I've eaten here a few times so it's obviously got something worth going for (the sushi). It's definitely good value for money and I've never had stodgy rice here - can't handle stodgy rice. Worth a visit if you're shopping in the mall but otherwise I wouldn't really go out of my way to come here.
