10.11.2018 About last night. It was the #SalsatoMexico Grand Finale at Salsa Mexican Grill (Rivonia Village) Another lucky person has won themselves a fantastic trip for 2 to Mexico. After indulging in delicious mexican food and yummy cocktails, the finalists had to make their way to the Piñatas where the winning tickets were hidden in one of the el Jimador Tequila bottle Piñatas. Excitement built up as we cheered them on to reveal what every one wanted. Such an awesome prize, i thoroughly enjoyed my trip earlier this year and would highly recommend entering if there is a next one. Keep an eye on their social media pages just in case. Also, i was excited to see some new menu items. Everything we had last night was soo good. The Sweetcorn Salad, Street Mini Tacos, Adobo Marinated Fillet, Nachos, Chicken Taquitos and the Red Calamari and Prawn Rice - WOW I had NO space for dessert or even Coffee. I like the space of this restaurant, and has a spacious side area that overlooks the streets so gives that open feel. Our waiter Lois was on the ball and helped us throughout the night and kept us fed and kept our thirst at bay. Proffesional andvfast service. Clean setting, awesome music. Adhering to all protocols and the food is mind blowing, not to mention the drinks 🤭🤭. Will definitely visit regularly.

Very festive and vibey space. Enjoyed celebrating a friend's Birthday here (great place for young adult's Birthdays). Food was delicious- Order the Nachos, you wont be disappointed! Large variety of tequila's. I enjoyed the gins👍

Great vibe, especially over weekends. They have a DJ later on in the evening where they move the tables away and make a dancefloor. I've been there twice and every time we got free tequila shots. They serve traditional Mexican food. The portions are quite generous, we usually share a nachos as a starter.

It was my first time visting a Mexican restaurant so yea the menu was confusing😁 however the waitress was able to explain and guess what, I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The food was very filling. I must actually commend their staffs, their customer service was good. Am glad I tried out something different.

Great service here. The staff are super friendly and the portions of food are much bigger than other branches.. They also allow you to smoke a hookah pipe there.

What a delicious lunch, great mexican flavours and the best service! Their orange and passionfruit tequila was great!Topped only by the litchi and mint tequila that followed! We will certainly be regulars from now on!

On Friday night, we decided to try Salsa 💃 for some Mexican fare. We arrived at the Resturant at 18h25 and the place was “pumping”. Without a reservation we expected to be turned away but the friendly “Host” “Manager” made a plan and allocated us a table that was reserved on condition we were done in an hour. Shout out to “Salsa” for not only accommodating us but for serving our food quickly. Food was fresh and delicious and we ate quickly. Hard tacos and nachos with hot jalapeños hit the spot. Even had spare time for pics at the “PhotoBooth”. Will definitely be back with our adult friends with a Reservation in hand. When we were leaving the DJ was “killing it”, sweet tunes plus tequila makes a festive atmosphere. #salsa #goodvibes

One on my favourite favourites.in love with the margaritas and the orange and chilli tequila. Beef strips and the pulled pork tacos to sell your soul for!!! Actually haven't ever had anything I didn't love at Salsa, thrilled for another branch

This is Mexican food on steroids ie flavourful, of exceptional quality and significant portions. We had the Samba Quesadilla and Original Burrito. The meals were freshly prepared and overflowed with delectable fillings. Service was crisp as well. Would have liked to be served with some condiments eg guacamole as part of the course but had to order this separately. Bill still was a pleasant surprise given quality and portion sizes.

My first time at a Mexican restaurant. Great atmosphere. The Jalapeno margarita was one of the best ive ever tasted. we ordered the platter for 2 and portions were big Great service from the waiters and management too.  Picture doesnt do the food justice! :)

Standards always met. Good local Mexican food. Quality ingredients, fresh, taste... Good service from the waiters. Love having parties here especially with the fancy sombreros, singing and sparkles. I like the music and atmosphere. Must try

Our favorite Mexican place to go for chicken nachos. The prawn tostadas are also a must try. We always have such great service when we go to this Salsa and the outdoor seating area is really nice

We had a nice Sunday lunch here. The drinks and the food arrived quickly. My chilli con carne was nice and spicy, I just missed a bit of crunch. The salsa classes on the go nearby added to the ambience, you can join if you like. Service was great.

Waste of R350. The shoestring fries (chips) are the only good thing - salad mushy and bland, veg soft tacos soggy and no flavour, popper very oily with no taste (not even any jalapeno heat to save it). Very, very underwhelming. Will not encourage any veg ppl to try - Mexican Fresh or Tacomama muuuuuchh better and cheaper! #thumbsdown

Great looking store with fantastic new items on the menu! Owners are always present and checking up on their guests. Fiesta Fridays and Salsa Sundays are a hit. I'd have nachos everyday if I could! :)

It was a Friday evening and we had no idea where to take my cousin from Cape Town for dinner as it was already past 9pm. Salsa Mexican Grill in Rivonia popped into mind as it was probably one of the few places that was still open.<br/><br/>I've been to a couple of the franchises and I actually really enjoyed this particular one. The restaurant is spacious and there is both an indoor and outdoor seating area. We ordered two dishes to share - the chicken enchilada and the signature spicy chicken nachos. Both dishes were delicious. The nachos at Salsa Mexican Grill never disappoint.<br/><br/>The food was good, the service was quick and it was an overall pleasant experience. If you're in the Rivonia area and craving Mexican food, give this place a try!<br/><br/>

I hosted my brother's 21st birthday and it was an absolute pleasure! The staff and managers were very accommodating and went the extra mile for every request. They called to confirm everything on the day and I have never seen a restuarant cater for such a large group this well before. We had about 30 people. Everything came on time and the food and drinks were amazing! They also had a dj who kept us up and dancing till late. The vibe and aura was so great that we cancelled our plans to go elsewhere after supper and stayed at Salsa instead. Highly recommended!

Not really a Sandton goer but Salsa has definitely made me want to go there every time.Salsa is a definite place to visit, lovely atmosphere,friendly staff and management and the service is excellent. No complaints what so ever it’s a must go for both families and friends 👍🏽

A Mexican restaurant food is good but the services .... is SLOW. The music is way to loud to have good conversation the Nachos and the margaritas are top notch. Don’t be taken in by the special they offer you, it’s not worth it - order exactly what you want rather. It not definitely not cheap but it’s a good place worth eating at.

Loved it - exactl what I expected from the previous branches that I have been to in Kyalami and Fourways. Service was great and efficient - food was great and the décor always beautiful. This branch is a little quieter than the Fourways so no need to book - was a bit nicer to not have to her the birthday song a million times but just as a great a experience - Still one of my fave restaurants

My favourite is ordering the nachos. I reckon it’s the best nachos in town! Add some margaritas and it’s an insane night. Service is good with friendly staff and a good addition to the Rivonia food scene.

I have visited many times. I was extremely in aee of the services from both the employees and management. The food was very tasty and I had no problem with the quality as well. I will recommend this Salsa to all. Thank you for your excellent service.<br/>My rating is 9 or 10.

We visited the restaurant for the first time on Thursday 29th March 2018. First up we could not believe the price of the Valdo Processo at R600. All requests to see the manager was ignored. The Churro's were cold and again any complaints were ignored. An email complaint the next day was also ignored and a follow up call fell on deaf ears as we were told prices are determined by the owners of the franchise, Famous Brands. Not what a person can expect from a restaurant like this.

We've been here several times since this branch opened, and it's been consistently good throughout - service and food. This is more tex-mex than Mexican, but still enjoyable. The virgin margarita jugs are excellent. They do need to source a decent hot sauce though.

Salsa is nice. They have a good drinks menu and tasty food.<br/>I had the jalepeno poppers and half portion of nachos. Was good. And I luv their mageritas!

It was my first time at Salsa today and it was a great experience! It was the best Nachos I have ever tasted! And the spicy pineapple frozen Magarita was insane! Very friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere.

Ok, who doesn't love Mexican food? Popped into this spot last night for a quick dinner. Husband declared the Pulled Pork Nachos the best he's ever had (and he's had tonnes). I had chicken enchiladas that were nice, but didn't blow my brains (fair to say I claimed my fair share of nachos). Decent winelist with some quality affordable options. Cool decor, although, as I have felt with many new spots recently, just a liiiiiitle too bright. Fun music. Good service. Great value for money. Will probably be back quite soon...

One of the more attractive restaurants in the franchise with a great outdoor set up. Service as friendly and efficient.<br/><br/>The nachos were fantastic. Some of the best I've eaten. Super cheesy and nicely flavoured guacamole. Jalapeno poppers filled with cream cheese and crumbed and the sweet potato chips were also good.<br/><br/>Would definitely go back for the nachos.<br/><br/>

Went on ‘date night’ and it was lovely. If you’re into trying new drinks their craft tequila menu has some great options. <br/><br/>The ambiance was lovely, our server was attentive without being overbearing. <br/><br/>I had a quesadilla and my boyfriend had an enchilada I believe, both options were great although I do wish they had the option of adding extras to their set menu purely because they both lacked enough meat in our respective opinions and I’m not a huge meat eater. <br/><br/>Everything was well seasoned although I do wish they had a ‘spicy’ or ‘hot’ option as I anticipated a dish with more heat.

Stopped by for some celebratory drinks for a friends birthday, the service from the waiter and manager was impeccable and they really made us feel welcomed. We started with their now famous craft tequilas and jugs of cocktails, after a few rounds we decided to have a bite and orders a few meals for the table to share. The birthday boy was brought a complementary shot with a Mexican hat and celebratory sparkler, the grown up version of the Spur birthday song! A very nice touch I must say... all the food was good with strong flavors and really hot the spot! Well done Salsa Rivonia, we will be back!

Where to start... I have been monitoring this opening of this restaurant over the last two months which opened up very quickly in late Dec 2017. This restaurant great addition to the Rivonia Boulevard strip and is well situated (and easily accessible) on far right front corner of the Rivonia Village open shopping centre. I have already visited this branch twice this month as it is really superb overall.<br/><br/>Keeping with the current standard of this Mexican brand, the staff here are extremely hospitable. I was glad to see a good presence of the manager on duty who interacted with me and who was efficient and closely monitoring the restaurant.<br/><br/>For, my first visit for the year, and as a change I decided to build my own vegetarian Mexican feast which consisted of a Naked burrito bowl with refried beans (as a protein), brown & wild rice, beets, vegetables and guac. The kitchen prepared this meal with great skill as every item in the bowl was well portioned and layered to balance the taste and textures well.<br/><br/>The nachos (spicy or not), are consistently and probably the best version available in Joburg - great when sharing with others too. I would also recommend trying the creamy El Vegetal taco which is oozing with beans, spices and flavour.<br/><br/>Well done to the team here! Keep up the good work with the chilled ambiance. I will most certainly visit regularly with friends, colleagues and family.

Food was delicious and the portions are huge! The nachos were delicious, shared them as a starter between two and could probably share them between more people for a substantial starter.<br/><br/>The restaurant looks great inside! It has the nicest decor out of the Salsa's I've visited.<br/><br/>Service is excellent, friendly staff and the food was very quick to come out.

Newly opened. Went for Sunday lunch. Did not book but a table was found for us. Nice location. Very friendly service. Had the beef fajita plates and the pork quesedia. Substantial portions and the food was fresh and very tasty. Great value for the price! Would recommended booking as very popular

Great food and great service. Nachos are awesome and the portions are huge. The variety of tequila is outstandaning. Promised myself to never drink the stuff again but the strawberry flavoured shot was something very different. Will definitely be going back there again.

A welcome addition to the Rivonia Blvd restaurant strip. <br/>Food was decent (chicken enchiladas) although I've had much better Mexican and the blood orange margarita was just regular orange. 3/5.<br/>The hospitality was 5/5. Was greeted on entry and a table that was just cleared was cleaned and set up outside, attentive service on a Friday night, was offered a free round, and was told thank you and goodbye by whom I assume were the franchise owners. <br/>

Newly opened in Rivonia. Great fun and lively atmosphere while the food is the same awesome standard as any of the other Salsa outlets. As always very friendly staff. Massive portions of nachos and the margaritas are just what the Dr ordered. A perfect place to go to for a laid back cocktail and some comfort food.
