Great fresh food with good large pieces of filling. Not the run of the mill which is stale or less than half filled wrap. This had big chucks of tasty chicken. Highly recommended

I have been watching lots of food travel programs and have been wanting to try different cuisines. This place was highly recommended by a Lebanese friend for authentic Lebanese cuisine. <br/><br/>The food was amazing. So delicious. So authentic. <br/><br/>The Lebanese owners looked after us and made us feel like we have been teleported to Lebanon. They recommended and sent over wonderful food for us to try. <br/><br/>It wasn't just dinner, it was an experience. <br/>

Fantastic little gem in Sandton. Owner and staff very friendly and recommended the dishes. We even got given homemade Lebanese biscuits to take home. Very warm and homely, can’t wait for my next visit!

Wow, blown away by the quality of the meze, best hummus in town, made properly with lots of nutty tahini. Never had kibbeh balls before, fresh and beautifully spiced. Tarataum with the fried chicken so flavourful. And a pretty good shaken margarita. Knowledgeable attentive service.

What an amazing place. The food is just yum and everyone so friendly and welcoming. We shared one of the platters and added some meze - absolutely delicious. After our meal we just sat back and enjoyed a hubbly with some turkish coffee. Can see this places becoming one of our go-to places. Thanks to everyone at Arez for the experience

Been to Arez Cafe on three occasions now and can’t seem to get enough of this gem of a restaurant. Serving authentic Lebanese food, that is out of this world. Service is great and food is awesome. Highly recommended!

What an amazing place!!! Kippeh balls, warek enab, pies, fried qusa, you name it was mouth watering!! The manager was so helpful and recommended a mezza platter, so we could try mostly everything. Only to end up adding extra as we devoured the platter!! Will definitely be back here again.

Food was delicious and authentic enough to take me back to the days of living in the Middle East. Service was good, friendly and fast. Atmosphere could have done with a little bit more authenticity. We’ll definitely be back.

Mediocre offering - while food is fresh and portions good, no great tastes or surprises. Falafel and pita do not compare with the likes of Anat and the salads are bleh. Hummus is ok, a bit on the sour side. Altogether not impressed.

In all the time I’ve attempted to find traditional, home cooked and greatly prepared Lebanese cuisine, I have never found such an amazing restaurant. The location is perfect, the food is both healthy and tasty, they have a vast menu that caters for all and to top it off the restaurant has a fully dedicated Hubbly Bar. This has become a home away from home due to the friendliness of the staff, the management and the consistency of of their relentless attention to detail. Magnificent.

An authentic Lebanese Cafe and Hookah Bar (no no, not that kind of hookah)<br/><br/>As soon as we sat down we were served with complimentary carrot sticks and trail mix appetizers, they were so tasty that we even finished every last stick and crumb, omnomnom. Being a little unfamiliar with Levantine cuisine, we thought that the Meze Mix is the perfect solution to our problem, as they have a large variety of all the favourites. The platter contained hummus (chickpeas), baba ghanouj (eggplant dip), warak malfouf (stuffed grapevine leaves), fried chicken (if you don't know this, we have some serious problems), kibbeh balls (minced meat), fattoush (fried pita bread salad), tabbouleh (tomatoes and parsley salad), Lebanese meat pies, fried qusa (baby marrow chips), fries (normal oven baked chips) and zaytoun(olives).<br/><br/>It was really great to experience new tastes and our favourite dish was the tabbouleh, makes me shake my booty, salad, the meat pies, and the deep fried chicken, oh wow. We didn't like the stuffed grapevine leaves, it is definitely an acquired taste we haven't acquired yet, and if we had to describe it, the first word that comes to mind is "perfumey", but they give you an option to have it with cabbage instead. After dinner, we opted in for an Ahwe pot, which is a Traditional Lebanese coffee, and we were pleasantly surprised how good it was, just a small tip, leave the last 5ml in the pot.<br/><br/>It is a small family owned restaurant and you can see they really have a passion for making sure everyone is enjoying themselves and the food. Everyone checked in with us, not sure who all of them were, but it was great to see they care so much. With that our waiter was quick with serving us and keeping the table clean, there was just a moment or two where we actually wondered where he was.<br/><br/>We haven't ever been to Lebanon so not sure if this place represents an authentic atmosphere, but for us, it was quite bright and it felt more of an office setting than a restaurant, especially if you sit inside. Also, most of the evening there was no music, only the sound of a soccer match coming from the TV. It was only when we ordered our coffee that they started playing music, which can definitely be enjoyed with a few drinks and a hookah.<br/><br/>The Meze Mix for 2 people cost R300 and it was a boatload of yummy food. Brilliant - Amazing - Is like going to a Lebanese Cafe in London or New York - Best experience!! Felt as though I was at a friends wedding filled with love, great food and good Hubbly - South Africa has great produce and stands amongst the best cities for cuisine in the World!

Being Lebanese you often don't get a chance to make Lebanese food all the time , iv been craving it for so long and been dying for a good Lebanese restaurant too open and finially i got the chance to eat at Arez. Unbelievable divine authentic food. <br/><br/>We ordered the mezza platter for 4. Hummus and babba ghanoush to die for BEST cabbage rolls and tuboulie salsd. We were so engrossed in the food i forgot to take pics.<br/><br/>Just loved it all! The service great and friendly staff food comes quick and its really not expensive at all. <br/>Were gonna be living there🤗 @markO'Brien

Was a little reluctant to write a review since I wanted to keep this Lebanese jewel to myself then I though let's share with the world What is available and is great. When was a quick lunch with my daughter followed by a business lunch two days later and still can't get over this new venue. The good news is there is no restaurant background in the family therefore all is home cooking at its best and from the hummus, the baba ganoush through to the kebhe and all the other genuine Lebanese delicatessen all is home made and worth the visit<br/>

This superb Lebanese cafe is a must. The delicious variety of mezze, great service & vibey atmosphere exceeded all expectations. Looking forward to our next visit!

Like an actual trip to Lebanon - absolutely delicious authentic Lebanese food, great Irish coffee and Hubbly Bubbly to finish it off. I'll be back for sure and bring my friends.

Just tried for the first time. Sandton needs a good Lebanese restaurant and this was among the best I've been to. tried 3 dishes for a quick lunch, hummus with minced lamb, spinach pies and kibbeh balls. All were top notch, followed by great authentic coffee. Service was good too. Will definitely be back very soon for more.
