BBB is our (hubby and I) hangout place coz of its proximity to our house. Don't want to drink and drive. BBB's food and selection of whiskies is great. Dr Victor and the Rasta Rebels were on fire. That just put a cherry on top.
Spent my birthday there.... The staff are well trained, the food is amazing and fresh. The live band performance is just fantastic. Also love the diversity and unity the restaurant represent.

Went to Beach Blanket Bohemia in Sunninghill last night. I got there just after 6pm and the band was already playing! Awesome band, awesome vibe, staff very friendly and attentive and food was good too. Spacious and comfortable seating too. Drinks a bit pricy but the atmosphere well worth it!

Enjoyed the Banana French toast served with a scoop of ice-cream and berries. Was a bit disappointed in the carrot and pineapple juice though. Service staff was good however a bit slow for my friend.
Such a lovely, relaxed place that we come quite often too. Service is relaxed but attentive. Food is delicious, our favourites are the beetroot carparcio and the Kingklip with lemon butter sauce. My glass of wine was delivered late which was comped, which was unexpected and appreciated. If you are in a relaxed mood with unobtrusive service, highly recommended and the food is delicious.
A nice open airy restaurant with a nice vibe. Sometimes there is live music too which is a nice touch. Have been for breakfast and lunch several times and have never had a bad meal. They have a nice variety on their menu so there is always something new to try.

Very nice spot. Relaxing and inviting. Staff friendly and helpful. Had the best pizza with thin crispy (not burned) crust. Wood burning pizza oven taste....awesome. Will be back.
Great consistent food quality and service. Only place I know that has Irish red ale on tap! would definitely recommend for both lunch and dinner occasions. Plenty of secure parking and easy access to Sunninghill Shopping Centre.

We found ourselves here, needing to kill some time until the doctor's surgery nearby opened. Staff were friendly and happy to accommodate us in their warmer seating area while they finished setting up. The coffee was good and my light breakfast came with plenty of bacon. I'm really not sure why we don't pop in more often as we visit the centre frequently.
Decided to stop by here a few times with the most recent being last week where I actually ate some tapas and not just having a drink. Good wine selection, and cocktails (though a Long Island is R110 if I am not mistaken?!) The tapas were good - definitely go for the mussels!! delicious!!! the rest were not bad. Service was great though. A band came on to sing which was cool, but its difficult to have a conversation because of how loud it is. In all, I will be back for my usual drink with friends, but not when a band is playing.
Burgers to die for. Friendly staff but not the fastest service. Try the Lamb or Italian burger they were both really yummy. One of my dining partners ordered and highly enjoyed the mozzarella sticks and brinjal stack, off the tapas menu, which she said were delicious. One of my other guests selected the turkey and brie salad was fresh and tasty. We will be back.

Man and myself went last night we enjoyed our food and drinks the only thing we didn't really like is waiting years before getting those drinks and food. It's a nice place, very relaxed and just what we needed for our date night.
Our default spot for a drink or coffee especially on the weekend while we get our cars washed. It has a chilled atmosphere and the food is always freshly prepared. Waiting staff are friendly but could be more attentive. The pizzas are delicious and probably my new favourite on the menu is the "Balsamico". The coffee and smoothies are also very good.
I always find myself popping in here, and have never had a bad experience. Their breakfasts are very tasty and their coffee is great. In the evenings there is usually quite a buzz and they often have live music. It would be a great place for an upbeat dinner and glass of wine on a Friday night.

My boyfriend was very impressed with his ostrich burger and I with my peri peri chicken. The portion sizes were great allowing us to try the amazing brownies which left me wanting more.

Nice place to chill out at on Fridays. I particularly enjoy the live band... They take you back old school. The food isn't that great but edible.
Just had a yummy, healthy breakfast here:) staff was friendly, the service was good and the vibe chilled. Had a coffee and some scrambled eggs and avo on rye roast.. Will come again!
Had a great afternoon here yesterday with my hubby. Very vibey, noisy spot with great live music. The food, especially the pizzas, is really good and I would suggest getting a few to share on the table. There is an inside restaurant if you feel like having dinner without the noise of the outside. The inside area still has an open feel to it as the glass doors open up and so it's a nice area. The cocktails are pretty good without being high end and there are some very different choices to experiment with. All in all a good night out and I recommend this place.
Beach blanket is a cool place to hang out, especially on a Friday afternoon after work to have a few drinks and listen to the live music. The food is quite average though...
BBB do food well. However this restaurant is a 'casual' restaurant in the Sunninghill Village shopping centre where it's a good place to get a quick bite to eat. Although I don't go often, there's always vibe at BBB on a Friday night.
Excellent staff, great menu. The food is as good as the description in the menu. Try the lamb burger!! Trendy outdoor and indoor seating, great for a meet up.
Perfect for brunch, lunch and dinner. Wide variety of food from the simple sandwich to devine and delicious ox-tail - weekends sees the restaurant transform to a hangout at their cocktail bar - so if you want a relaxed and chilled dining experience go early before the crowds arrive. If the restaurant is busy expect some delays in food and service but otherwise it's a fab, local hip restaurant in Sunninghill!

BBB is a little bit of a surreal experience
from outside, its loud, smokey, very much a very crowded pub vibe, i had been here before for afterwork drinks and it just seems so much more uncomfortable now...
but step through the back door and its comfortable, quiet, elegant dining with friendly service.
i was incredibly hungry, having not eaten all day so when my dinner partner ordered the half chicken which came with a "our half chicken does take awhile to prepare" ... i should have listened...
especially as there is no bread or the like to nibble on, we needed to order a side of garlic foccacia for that (lots of garlic btw)..
ok rambling... I had the Mozambican prawn curry, which was a m a z i n g, just shy of a few prawns but hey... i was super hungry.
i once trained as a cocktail bartender so am very particular when it comes to cocktails, I decided to chance it and order a Long Island (which by the way, BBB do variants with red bull or cranberry or classic coke)
I of course chose the classic and it did not disappoint, made in a nice large highball with the spirits separately made in a shaker and layered rather than just built in the glass... was nice to see.. and taste :)
Ill definitely go back for dinner.
I've been a BBB convert for years . Few resto-lounges offer a variety of live music and dj"s 5+ times a week.
The owner and his managers always set a great vibe and are a very genuine bunch.
There is a great following of mature regulars and a must try for anyone living or working in sunninghill.
The owner refurbishes the establishment regularly and thus the premises always look top class.
Food prices are very reasonable for the excellent quality Mediterranean food you receive. Try the whole chicken with chillie sauce and wasabi mayo or the superb thin base pizzas.
Whats also really great is that Internet is available .

The food on the menu here sounds amazing, just the thought of deep fried Camembert with a berry reduction can melt even the heart of the coldest critic, and when the food eventually (it takes a while especially because they're busy quite often) arrives, it's not bad but it doesn't quite match up to the mouth watering induced by the menu descriptions. It may be a proportion thing, where there isn't enough of the interesting ingredients in the actual dish. The saving grace here is the barman who makes amazing drinks, try the redbull Long Island :) so this place is a great place for after work drinks, add a little focaccia and you'll be fine.
This is a very nice restaurant. Our food was good although one of our guests said the chicken schnitzel was very salty. My stuffed chicken breast with stir-fried veg was delicious. Our waiter was efficient but a bit impatient with us even though the restaurant was mostly empty when we arrived. The decor is lovely and I will certainly visit again
The Mediterranean pasta was a little bland. Adding parmesan cheese gave it a necessary kick.
The Chicken Salad was nice, but I wish it had a little more salad dressing. Without it, it is quite dry.
Our waitress was polite and efficient. We received our food at a good time. We didn't wait too long.
Very cool set up and not what you would expect from the shopping complex it is in. Can make you feel like you are in another country. Had a very friendly waitress who always checked up on us. The food was amazing and I will definitely return when I can.

After hearing how amazing their Calamari and bacon pizza is, I had to try it. Was it not love at first bite!!! From there we tried their breakfast. Best omelette I've ever had. Perfect balance of all ingredients and no oil bath on the plate. BUT TONIGHT, I had their Carb Free burger. I'm not a burger person but WOW, has that's changed. All ingredients are fresh and tasty. The flame grilled patty is amazing! I never thought in all my years I would rave and write about a burger, but here I am. The service is always amazing there. The staff are lovely people as well as the manager. The food is beyond delicious and this is a hidden gem. I really recommend Beach Blanket 1 million times over. Just when I thought it can't better, I try a new menu item and fall in love. Thank you to this amazing restaurant for hitting the nail on the head each time. See you soon!

Had a great breakfast. First time here and really enjoyed it. Some really great options and choices of food. Bit different from the average options and loved the banana bread French toast and green omelette. Had a green spinner smoothie and mocha which were both really good as well.
Amazing restaurant - absolute must! Family-friendly, great music, great vibe! Food is incredible! Manager, Gavin, and staff are so friendly and professional!

Very nice restaurant comfortable with great ambiance any time of the day. The food is nice and the service is friendly although slow. It has a little kiddies area so if you're with kids you'll still be able to enjoy a meal.
Friendly servers. Blondie burger was delicious and the live music made the vibe great. Pizza bases were very crumbly unfortunately.

Went for coffee and cake. Excellent coffee and a proper decent generous slice of cake. Excellent attentive service by the staff too. Didn't have any food from the extensive menu but looking at nearby tables it looked plentiful and good. Definitely worth a visit. Recommended!
My 1st time there and I must say the food was very nice .
Just up the fridge on the drinks my beer was not cold.
