A cute little store in Illovo/Rosebank area. The staff was very friendly and it wasn’t busy at all when we went. I was a bit disappointed with the ice cream selection as there were only four options. The cookies are very good but the ice cream was a bit average and be warned everything is very sweet. The parking situation is very awkward and doesn’t seem wheelchair friendly from what I could tell. The area is a little bit dodgey feeling but definitely not unsafe. I think I would come here again but won’t be rushing back.
Super awesome, great ice-cream, cookies and everything related. 10000% buy it, especially the tasting or variety boxes. 10/10. The shop is so cute in terms of design and feel, it's just the area is a bit unsafe and I've turned away before because I felt I couldn't go alone, especially during load shedding when lights are out and parking is on the street. I've ordered for delivery and everything arrived no problem.
Always love visiting this spot. The cookies are nice and chewy when they are warm. But I would really like to have better flavoured ice cream for the ice cream sandwich. The flavours seem to be switched out weekly which is sad because my favourite flavour was not on hand.

Customizing your very own ice cream cookie sandwich is the main attraction here and with great success.
Step 1 : Cookie selection ( You can mix or match, brownie, churro, red velvet ).
Step 2 : Ice cream selection ( There's a " special " one I recommend, but a selection of other flavors ).
Step3 : Top your ice cream sandwich up with a selection of sweets ( gummy worms, crushed caramel, sprinkles ).
It's a bit pricy, especially the little extra costs for selected items, but it's a nice treat. Seating inside and out, parking is tricky on busy days, service is super friendly and very welcoming and informative.
Decent creamy ice cream. It’s a bit on the expensive side. It’s baskin Robbins prices for 1/2 scoops(for other reviews poke pie the sandwiches are stuffed though). Medium selection of flavors overall (about 8+1 vegan and +1 hidden under the counter sugar free selection) but they have a bunch of different variations for dessert eaters: waffle sandwiches, cookie sandwiches, cups and cones, small range of toppings and sauces and smears for on top of your waffles and cookies) We did the plain old cup with no toppings. I had the vegan choice: strawberry, and the sugar free choice: yogurt and berry. Everyone else tried a different combo so we tasted all but three. The sugar free was the standout for me. Tasted like natural yogurt with berry jam swirl. Tart. Excellent service. Did a great job trying to IO sell without being pushy (kudos to you!). Fr a family of four it was 290R.
French vanilla ice cream is very nice. Had the doughnut and icecream.. the doughnut was average. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Nice place for the kids to have a party. The kids can also make their own cookie.

- Dessert: absolutely delicious biscuits with tasty ice cream that satisfies the innermost parts of my soul. If you've dreamt of eating a mouth-watering biscuit whilst eating flavourful ice cream, then Crumbs and Cream is the place. If I could become an ambassador of Crumbs and Cream, I would, and I would shout it from the rooftops of Joburg!
- Service: really helpful and friendly service. We placed an order through whatsapp and the owner was extremely helpful. We collected the treats and paid in the car without getting out.
- Covid-19 protocols: masks were worn, and gloves were worn by employees.
- Would I go back? Yes!
My friend brought me here as a treat and I was not disappointed. The aesthetic is fantastic. The colours decor and the swings create an atmosphere that brings back all the good childhood memories.
If you have a sweet tooth this place is for you. With its nostalgia and overall fun feel, it is not your average ice cream store. They even have a vegan option. Really great to bring kids to and adults with the need for icy sweet treats.
Brought the kids for a treat. And what a treat it was. Ordered brownie cookies with vanilla ice cream and oreo crumbs, rainbow cookies with bubblegum ice cream and marshmallows and red velvet cookie with chocolate ice cream and oreo crumbs. Sugar addicts rejoice
If you have a serious sweet tooth then this is the place for you.
Crumbs & Cream is a sweet little dessert store where you can order ice-cream, cookies, coffee, ice-cream on cookies or waffles, spreads, sprinkles and sauces. Anything and everything for the sugar addict inside you. They also have sugar-free and gluten-free options if you are one of those.
The food, well desserts are great. Many different options for cookies, from rainbow to milk tart, with choc chip in between, they have it all. Then you get quite a few different ice creams to choose from too, french vanilla, salted caramel and even cookie monster. Now that is a winner. Now add toppings, spreads and sauces, sooo much sugar.
Service was fantastic. We walked in and had no idea how anything worked. Immediately we were helped and given testers so we can make the perfect choice. All the patrons were very friendly and didn't mind answering any of our questions.
Atmosphere was quite interesting. Everything was so colourful and petite. Looked like a little playground. I can just imagine being a kid again and feeling right at home here.
We do feel like they are a tad expensive. 2 ice-cream sandwiches with no extras and 2 coffees for R130 is pushing it a bit. But I guess they have to pay the rent somehow.

Amazing little place, the best ice cream Sandwiches I have had , it's a lovely environment for kids and parents on a nice Saturday out , wide variety of options to pick from
25.08.2017 Thank you Crumbs & Cream for the spoil, it was thoroughly enjoyed. A Bright, colourful and quirky shop at Ilovo junction. Its more of a takeaway than a sit down joint as it has limited seating, and how about the cute swings???
Murphy was so friendly and helpful and managed to assist me with a good combo for my ice cream sandwhich. There is a variety of Ice creams but i decided on the Chocolate Hazelnut to be sandwiched between my Special and Brownie Cookies respectively. You can also add toppings on afterwards for an extra R5. I added some fudge and smarties to seal the deal, but there are also marshmallows or sour worms if you feel adventurous. Whether you eat it seperate or together the cookies are delicious. I bought some to take home and the ice cream is divine. The Milktart, Chocolate Chip and Churros were all a good treat.
They also have hot and cold drinks but i didn't try it this time round.
If you have a serious sweet tooth then i suggest paying this place a visit.
The service, ice cream, and cookies are amazing, however, the parking availability and seating arrangements are not ideal.
Yummy ice cream experience. Loved all the flavours. Best was Nutella ice cream wedged between 2 yummy biscuits. Highly recommended.
Nice and cute ice cream shop. Nice staff and customer service. I will admit the ice cream is a bit pricey but it's of good quality.

Great early morning coffee, till late, as well. Such sweet, friendly, kind staff member, helpful too. Tasty gluten & sugar free cookies. As well as lots of wickedly delicious other things. Plus, right next door to a great launderette!Recommend.
Very cute place. A lot smaller than I expected, and I prefer to take away rather than sit inside, just because of covid. But the staff are incredibly friendly and the ice cream and cookies are divine. A lot of choice in terms of spreads, toppings, ice creams and cookies and cones. Definitely worth it if you're looking to spoil yourself.
Ice-cream is also perfect in winter 🙃
