Review Luigi's Italian Restaurant - Sandton

Simple, elegant and yummy food in a cozy relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend the porcini pizza and pasta!

OK so the location is terrible. Not in its look but in location. Difficult to find really small centre tucked away in a residential area. But worth the effort. For me best pizza's in Johannesburg! Extremely generous toppings good service prices standard. Menu small but sufficient. Pastas and unusual other items. Try it you won't regret it.

Delicious food and friendly staff- a must for every restaurant, and they sure have it! A little pricier than expected but worth the pay. Their homemade pasta is a firm favourite, and they have lovely specials running for the Kumon parents in the centre.

The centre is currently under renovation so there is a lot of building rubble and dirt on site. Apart from this the restaurant is well run, they serve great pizzas with proper buffalo mozzarella and there is also a wide selection of great pastas. Bathrooms are a bit neglected and hidden in the basement.

The staff at Danilo's (formerly Luigi's) are incredible and are the life force that make this little Italian gem a reality (namely, Isaac and Jackie). The current manager is absolutely questionable; but do not worry, the staff provide the most beautiful of dining experiences. And as a resident of the area, i could ALWAYS recommend the experience. Ian Buchanan Jr, resident in Riverclub. PS. greatest pizza.

Nice little hidden gem, beautiful sunset views if you sit on the deck on the western side not the verandah on the north, menu is well selected, fresh & tasty and the wine list finely curated my Marc Letzler, (soon to be launched) , even though he already have a decent wine selection in store.

The best Italian in JHB! We were very pleasantly surprised. Service was good, ambiance was very nice and the food was superb. Better than La Tranita, Da Graziella and Trabella etc. Fresh, not stingy with pizza toppings or pasta sauce.

Holy smokes, can these guys make chicken livers! I thoroughly enjoyed my extra large starter portion with a tasty focaccia. If chicken livers are a craving for you as much as for me, try Danilo's.

Fantastic dinner with family on Saturday evening. The food and service was exceptional. Nice atmosphere and well worth a visit. We will definitely go back.

First time here since it changed owners. May take a few visits to adjust to a new look and feel. Pizzas were yummy

Lovely venue, not the usual franchise feel. I only had a lovely lunchtime salad so cant comment further. Waiter was experienced

An excellent local bistro where family, neighbours and friends can and do get together to share good food, wine and conversation. The Aussie, female, maitre D is a hoot and great fun!
