We went to AtholPlace for dinner for my partner's birthday. Excellent service. Very friendly and well trained staff. The food was exactly what we wanted. Every dish was carefully planned and plated. We loved it! Definitely the perfect venue for a special occasion.
We went there to celebrate our 7th anniversary and had a wonderful evening. A warm welcome by the friendly and attentive staff was followed by a remarkable 3-course menu - extraordinary ingredients combined in unique ways, beautifully presented. The interior design of the reception, bar and restaurant area is characterised by a modern but nonetheless warm tone - it corresponds well with food and service. We will definitely return.
Lovely, tranquil place, had breakfast with my sister on her birthday (3 March). Our waiter Milton really made us want to stay longer. Keep it up.
This place is heaven on earth! ....we went there to have dinner and guess what? we were treated like queens and kings! I love AtholPlace Hotel & Villa.

Beautiful. I love the modern but adorable feeling this place has. Very homely. Food is great and so is the service. Honestly one of the best hotels I've been in. I hope more people discover this place.
If I could I would give this tranquil haven 6 stars. Everything from the staff to the incredible interiors and lush garden are perfect. A real hidden gem in the heart of Sandton.
This place is really beautiful and very private the atmosphere is so chilled the deco is so modern contemporary , The serve is excellent and they unique menus.. great place to host private events ..love it!

LOVE this place!!! From the service to the food and atmosphere just pure joy and love for what they do!!!!
We all spent two exceptional days at this Boutique/ Hotel and was not disappointed in any way what's so ever. They provided us with a fantastic service and were at our Beck and Call and even went out of their way to provide us with extra out of the ordinary services like arranging items to be bought at a nearby Gas Service Station after hours for some of the guests who requested they needed something urgently. We were all taken a back by how they bent over backwards to see that all of our needs were met.
Excellent customer service from the first time you walk in their door until leave. Very peaceful place to get away from all the hustle. There food that was served was also divine. Overall I had a great experience.
They should let people bring their own catering when they have events or work with client on the menu

Exquisite venue and boutique hotel set in the heart of Sandton. Amazing food and decor with a soothing atmosphere. The staff are friendly and highly accommodating to all dietary needs. The bar is well stocked with a diverse selection.

Omw what an amazing place. The waiters are really welcoming and professional. Extremely courteous and enthusiastic. I enjoyed the music, the presentation was on point. Our main dinner was cold, we requested "our meals to be reheated" but the chef started from scratch. My 1 drink had a hair in it. Even though there were a few hiccups I truly enjoyed my experience. The meal was delicious. The only tip I would give is to have the room be a bit warmer. There is a fire place but the restaurant was still cold. That leads one to be a bit tense. My partner and I ordered some tequila to warm up.
Having stayed for an overnight experience with my wife and 12 month old son, i can only say that they made each of us feel welcome and part of the family. My son even got his own bath toys and gown as part of the turn down. Rooms had everything we need and the staff were gentle and attentive to our needs with a baby. Dinner was outstanding and breakfast was superb. (have to try the scrambled eggs with truffle oil). I will definitely be back.
Its a beautiful unique 9 bedroomed or 4 bedroomed Exclusive villa property with full housekeeping, chef and site manager for your stay.

A gorgeous location, tucked away in a leafy part of Sandton. Gourgeous,spacious rooms and a deck and pool area to die for, it is the ideal location for a special event.
We only had a half-day workshop and lunch and it was incredible! The service, the food the venue were outstanding!
Great venue for a function. Excellent Covid-19 protocols. Service is also exceptional. Staff a re always on hand to accommodate your requests.
Attended a private function here.
Great ambience and the rooms are spacious.
I hope they do go back to normal reservations

We found Sandton’s hidden foodie treasure chest at AtholPlace Restaurant during Restaurant Week SA 2017. We started with pre-drinks in their bar/library area to get ready for a foodie adventure like no other.
The first gem was the Greens and Garlic Soup with Kimchi. The Executive Chef, Willie Malherbe really knows how to execute exciting and unusual dishes with Asian inspiration. After the delicious soup came the Smoked Springbok Lion with Radish and Crisp Goats Cheese, the crisp goats cheese is an absolute foodie revolution. The goats cheese had a crispy layer, almost deep-fried texture on the outside and oh sooo soft cheesiness on the inside.
The main beef dish was a Fillet with Roasted Vegetables. The dish was accompanied by Pumpkin Puree blobs and Red Wine Jus that raised the dish to a whole new level. The next main up, was the Kingklip! If we had to choose to eat only one dish forever, this would be it! Come breakfast, lunch, dinner, brunch, tea time, you name it, this dish will go with it. Coconut, Lemongrass and Lime Roasted Kingklip with Pakchoi served with Rice Noodles and Chili Caramel. Knocked us out of this world!
Dessert was an interesting combination of Dark Chocolate and Cherries. Big and bold flavours that complimented each other so well.
AtholPlace really feels like home but with royalty treatment. The price is definitely a fine-dining-price but we paid it with a smile, because with food as good as this, to transport you to a whole new world, professional staff having a collective goal in mind to ensure everyone has an unforgettable experience. Tick! Goal achieved! And an atmosphere of awe and wonder it was definitely worth every pretty penny.
Their menu changes regularly, so we will definitely be back for more exploring!
