Review Sakura Sushi - Roodepoort

Sakura has been around for quite some time. The sushi is super fresh and amazing. I had the Udon Soup and even though it is a large portion I finished it all. The atmosphere is relaxed and has some good music in the background. Service was friendly but not the fastest even. Might be the relaxed atmosphere. Definitely worth every cent.

Absolutel love the fresh sushi from Sakura! They have a buffet option which is great when you’re hungry. Also love the conveyor belt that runs so you can just pick what you want. If want you want is not there you can ask any of the chefs to prepare it for you. Can recommend the prawn spring rolls and best part is they form part of the buffet.

One of my favourite Sushi places in Johannesburg. The staff is friendly, the Sushu is really good and the atmosphere is great. Tip: Take along your own glass container if you are doing take away and simply ask zero waste packaging.

The food was absolutely amazing! I had the Lunch Box combo for the sushi and then some Beef Chow Mein. Both were delicious. The service was also good. The waitress I had was so friendly. The food also came quickly. I really had no problems with this place.

I am a big eater - and have steered away from sushi restaurants as it takes a LOT of sushi to fill up my stomach. Sakura seems to understand this as they offer an "eat as much as you like" sushi for a reasonable price. I did eat as much as I could and was surprised by the portion sizes as well as the quality of the sushi on offer on the "eat as much as you like" menu. We even requested some portions to be deep-fried - which they gladly did. I would definitely recommend Sakura for the person who loves sushi but does not like to leave feeling that they paid a significant amount for a limited amount of food and basically stops at the closest fast food joint to fill that last gap in your stomach. Normal plate prices are very reasonable without compromising on portion size and quality.

I've been going here for almost 2 decades now and I'm yet to walk out feeling anything but stuffed and satisfied I've had the all you can eat buffet more than 100 times 🤣. You would think since this is a place of quantity the quality couldn't possibly match but you'd be wrong! From the perfectly seasoned sushi rice to the crisp fresh nori and beyond to the glass like shatter of the crispy salmon skin! I love these people the work they do and the happiness they bring me every time I visit!

Simple environment. Service is friendly. Food is quality and enjoyed by the whole family. Even my lad is starting to try different types of sushi. Best of all, the prices are good. My personal favourite is still the veggie spring rolls!

The best sushi I have ever had. Good sized portions, fresh fish, what more could you ask for? Plus they have an all you can eat buffet. ;) I've been going here almost every Thursday for the past year and a half. And I'll definitely be going for many more.

All you can eat has a great selection of food and ensures that you will go home a few kilograms heavier. Great for groups of about 4-6, larger groups will have to take up two tables. Great vibe and good service, quickly becoming my go to restaurant for sushi and a good time.

Right idea. I like the cheap decor, it suits the restaurant’s location and pricing. It’s too close to the parking lot for my liking. The platters are served on wooden blocks. I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 3 because of the friendly service and convince. Stick to the sushi

The sushi was absolutely delicious, fresh and well-priced. The Chef and Staff are friendly and dedicated towards delivering quality service. An overall great experience with even better food.

We almost always have a really good sushi meal here. The sushi is good and goes down well with some Chinese beer. It's the typical medium sized sushi bar, with table seating on either side of the sushi bar. They tally your plates afterwards.

Love this place. Very nice vibe with friendly staff. The sushi is lovely. I usually get the all you can eat for a better variety of sushi dishes. Reasonably priced.
