The best value for money Restaurant in the area. Old world service combined with good food at a reasonable price. a 400 gram Espetada at R170 with side dishes and a sauce, yum. I have tried this at other Restaurants and had to go back to the Huguenot restaurant a second time to order this dish. Really worth your while

Good food at reasonable prices and very friendly staff especially Johnson who is one of most friendly and efficient people we have met. The Sirloin steak special on a Sunday is very affordable and tender and tasty. If you are ever in the area the Huguenot restaurant is highly recommended. We continue to enjoy our steaks at The Huguenot Restaurant.They always have a steak and chips special.

The Huegenot has a delicious & affordable T-bone special meal for only R90. The meal is literally sizzling hot when it is brought to you. The waiters are equally as great - very warm & friendly yet professional. It's a pity that the ambience doesn't match the food & waiting staff. The music sounds like an old white grannies playlist & the deco looks rather tacky. However based on the food and customer service, this is a great place to go!

Great weekly specials every night of the week. We have tried the specials and we are never disappointed. If you are looking for a Sunday lunch. The Huguenot offers a full buffet lunch every Sunday.

We always get good service here and the food is affordable and good. Recommended for a group or couples. The sushi is good and the food is always good. You always get a shooter glass of sherry and rolls. Never had a bad experience

Service was poor from the time we walked in. Our waiter could hardly speak, forgot to offer us bread, got our order wrong and the quality of the food not good at all. I wish I read the other reviews before I came. <br/>

Despite my husband having made a reservation on Monday the unfriendliest man on this planet could not find our reservation. We waited at the waiting area for 20 minutes before they escorted us to a dirty dingy little table. We waited another 20 minutes without a waiter coming to even take a drinks order. We went to Del Fourno across from there and had remarkable service and fantastic food. Highly advise everyone to stay away from The Hugenot.

Didn't even get past the front door. Absolutely ZERO comprehension of the word service. Unbelievably bad.<br/><br/>Do not even try.<br/><br/>I wound up spending my money at the Italian place next door which was excellent.

Attended this restaurant. The owner Cecil is rude and has no customer service at all and his people skills are disgusting. We all tried to have sushi at the "all you can eat" buffet. We sat for 2 and a half hours and got 2 pieces of sushi. When complaining to the owner he ran away from the table. Worse service I have ever recieved at a restaurant. AVOID at all costs.

I have a friend who raves about the sushi so I had to come. The name obviously don't speaks Sushi, but YOLO. The place is in a serious need of a revamp...old furniture (not by choice). The place really tries hard. The entrance sherrie, the rolled butter, the out if character sushi. Still above average!

We have a group on voucher for this restaurant but the owner makes it impossible for us to book as there is no space at all but yet if I would like to make a normal booking he can accommodate us anytime. This man is a fraud and extremely rude! Avoid ****************

Besides getting there and having problems with our reservation and having to make another reservation for another day, I was underwhelmed. We had the sushi buffet and from the reviews I've seen, I expected much more. Overall, the staff were friendly and the sushi was average.

Good sushi, great fish, and my partner raved about the beef fajitas! Good food experience but atmosphere/vibe is definitely lacking. Waiters weren't too attentive. Reasonable price for the quality you get.

Best sushi spot in the whole of gauteng. Died and went to sushi heaven. Try the tuna strawberry with honey. And the banana sushi. Its weird but so good.

The service is lovely and the setting is nice. The food was fairly average, however, I did the enjoy the sushi. The sushi chef was particularly friendly and helpful.

The atmosphere was uptight and I the food was seriously lacking flavour. I was disappointed :'(<br/>I hope that maybe the revamp and change of venue has amped up the atmosphere and maybe the food will be better.

The sushi buffet is R130 (at the time this review was written.) Good sushi, and if you like to eat alot of sushi this is your money's worth.

Old fashioned restaurant in a mall. Wife and daughter love the sushi. Every time we go I feel like an uninvited guest. I tried the weekend buffet. It felt limited and the beef that was carved and served to me was cardboard dry. We'll go back for the sushi. I'd really like to try out a thick steak there.
