Hubby and i decided to go out for a quick bite, which turned into one of the most amazing evenings ever! The new manager Adriaan was outstanding, he checked on numerous times without be invasive. Very friendly staff, being in the industry myself, to see such a well run restaurant/pub was refreshing! You will definitely see me again. Keep it up guys

Undoubtedly the place that has the biggest menu for a time off with some friends and looking for a good time. Prices are very competitive and have clean and decent tables. Friendly people and good vibe, will definitely be going back.

I was there on Wednesday and this place is so lovely. They had a quiz night yesterday and nice to see all those regulars spending their evening playing quiz over some good drinks and food. Fridays are even better they say. The people are wonderful for I had a great time. Will definitely go there on a Friday sometime.

It can getnloud in the pub somedays, but Great place and great food at amazingly affordable prices. Beers are amazing especially ther guiness. Love the quiz nights on a wednesday. They have no coock monday specials and every other special you can think off written on the board inside. Always has something to watch and when there is big sports thwy make an event out of that too. Saint patricks day is always a blast of entertainment.

The baskets are delicious! The chicken is abit dry but a great vibe and nice pub for a lunch. The jars are great and the service. I was surprised with the Russian and chips, a full meal

It was chilled. We will, definitely be back!

Go here quite regularly. Not far from our house. I'm not the biggest fan of their colour scheme (yellow, green, brown) or the state of the male bathrooms. They definitely require a bit more attention from the cleaning staff. But other than that, great food, and always have a good time with good company here. Service is pretty decent as well. Would recommend it for those that want a chilled place for a chilled drink.

I must say, the food here is pathetic.... Ordered jalapeño slammers and they are supposed to be stuffed with cheese, they were completely empty. Pathetic service from the manager as well, recommend not ordering any food here at all. Pathetic.

Every visit to Hoggshead with my mates is a brilliant experience. Service, food and drinks are really good and the atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon with the live performance is something special.

Shocking service. Been plenty times before with no issues and great food. Yesterday - Manya brought our drinks and we didn't see him for at least another half hour. Won't be back.
Bianca Bredenoord
Most attentive waitron ever- Sindiso. Will be asking for him again. But the food needs some work.
Marty Vader Wright
Great service but food prices have rocketed and on the sliders you don't get chips anymore. Very disappointing

I came here with my boyfriend just yesterday, the atmosphere was amazing and the food was tasty as well as very reasonable in price so you will be definitely seeing more of us.
The waitress was friendly and helpful, I definitely enjoyed coming to Irish Rock.

Had an amazing lunch today, started with snails which was much tastier than we had the week before at Monte!!! Service was great! Food is excellent! Cant wait to be back! Glad we found this hidden gem!

The steak at this pub rivals any other famous and much more expensive steak house. A request for medium rare was executed to perfection. well worth a visit!

I loved this place. Went here for a date night and the vibe, food and drinks were amazing. Cheap shooters and a wide variety. Want to still try them all. The food was to die for and the waitress was absolutely amazing, always checking up at the right time. I will most certainly be back for more.

Great place to go drinking (proper pub vibe) but the service levels are beyond shocking!! As we walked in, the waitress standing at the entrance completely ignored us; and when we asked her where we could sit, she simply grunted the answer "there or there" with a tilted head movement. I was not impressed at all!

Well as far as pub grub goes
This place (old O'Hagens) is good for a festive time
Food well....as good as food at a pub goes however they do a lamb liver main instead of chicken and this was outstanding

Cold Guinness and good service
Nice spot for a get together

Well done team Irish Rock

I had a bad experience at this restaurant at St paddy's day. Many of the tables were reserved, so after waiting about an hour we found a table that was reserved for 6 o clock and at the time it was 7 30 so after asking about 3 waiters and them subsequently checking with one of the managers we were told we could take the table. We sat there for about half an hour and ordered a drink. Another of the managers then came up and demanded to know if we were sitting at a reserved table. We attempted to explain that we requested if we could take the table as it was over an hour past the reserved time and told it was fine, he refused to listen to us and was extremely rude and told us to just "get off the table, he doesn't care". If an error was made it should be been taken up with his staff and not taken out on paying customers. This man's incredibly rude demeanor and blatant careless disregard for his customers, will mean that my friends and I will never revisit the place which is a shame since we have been coming here for years.. Before it changed from O Hagans. Highly disappointed.

really good bar food, great atmosphere, there was a band playing, service needs work, our waitress kept on disappearing and the place wasn't that busy. ample save parking.

It was a rainy cold day in Jozi so we were in the mood for some wholesome Irish food.
Very impressed with the menu which was reasonably priced.
The Guiness and lamb pie was a bit pricey but looked amazing.
We had chicken livers and cheesy garlic roll of which the spicy sauce was amazing.
We had cottage pie which was very nice and the 300g Tbone which was good.
Good value for money and well worth a visit!

As far as pubs goes this for me is the better option in the area. The service isn't non-existent like the other pubs and they have fun theme nights such as quiz night or live music.

Their drinks are priced reasonably and their jalapeño poppers are tasty.

I won't come all the way here all the time but I don't find myself sighing deeply when people want to meet up here.
Chris De Beer
Great pub for sports or having a few beers with friends , the food is typical pub grub but good value for money . Had the platter for 2 , gud size and not oily . Thier t bone steak is also very good .

Friday night was live music ... we sat outside on the patio, watching cricket and listening to the band. The weather was amazing and the music absolutely lovely!

The jalapeno poppers are huge Jalapenos ... stuffed with cheddar cheese, rolled in batter and deep-fried. It was soooo good! Batter was crispy and cheese inside melted.

The platter for one is a pleasure! Riblets, chicken strips, battered fried mushrooms, battered fried prawns, chips, battered onion rings, beef samoosas and 2 dipping sauces. Really amazing!!!!!

We went to watch the 2015 World Cup Semi Final between South Africa and New Zealand at Ohagans at Rock cottage last Saturday. As you can imagine the place was packed! The price of drinks was reasonable and the service was good, especially taking into consideration the busyness of the pub!
We had platters to share which were really good, and we had a hamburger after the rugby had finished, the hamburger was delicious, and again reasonably priced! The food was much better than I expected I'll be honest, again considering the amount of customers they had to feed.
The pub had a fabulous vibe and I'd definitely watch sport there again!

Decided to try O’Hagan’s Pub Rock Cottage, for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised by the very friendly and helpful waiter, Zanelle. Thank you for the wonderful service.

Draughts were speedily delivered to our table, so was the food. The platters were amazing to say the least, I will definitely be back.

Pity the manager seemed rude when asked about the events advertised for the upcoming month. The attentive waiter made up for that encounter.

A great pub. I have had so many excellent pub nights here. A quick pop in on your way home. Great after work drinks spot. Some excellent pub grub as well. Give them a try
