The Red Tin Roof - Riebeek Kasteel - Photo album

If you like eating somewhere that is a bit eccentric then this is the place for you. Food and service were both excellent. Lots of creative art, and it was lovely and cool on a hot summers day. Choice between inside and outside seating. The menu isn't huge, but there is enough to choose from for mos
Very pleasant, garden atmosphere for a Sunday lunch. They have a singer from Kentucky, with a lovely voice, she sang all my favourites.... I ate the peri peri chicken Portuguese style, very tasty, chips were the big fat ones. Had a look at the accommodation looks like we will be returning soon.
Delicious food and very eclectic setting. Excellent waitress. We sat under a large tree and watched a variety of birds coming and going. Very relaxing. My only tiny criticism is that the outside benches were a bit uncomfortable and the table cloth grease stained, which made it look a bit unappealing
What a wonderful place to relax and unwind. Rooms are comfortable and staff so accommodating. Big fire to keep us warm with lovely pizza for dinner. The breakfast was delicious. Thanks to Sam and her team.
The service was of the friendliest, politist and most efficient I've ever received anywhere. My mom had the vegetarian pizza and I had the Peri-peri chicken. Both dishes were incredibly tasty. We hadn't planned on going there at all during our 6 day stay in Riebeek Kasteel but drove past it and we'l
I only had the privilege of staying here for a single night but I loved it. Situated in such a small town I assumed it would be bare basics but no. The room was beautifully decorated and the bed extremely comfortable. The deck outside where I sat doing work was lovely. The restaurant served a delici
The restaurant has a fun and rustic appearance, and on closer look you can also see that everything is neat and clean. I had the flamegrilled calamari main, which was absolutely delicious and perfectly portioned (and I consider myself a calamari afficionado).
We stayed here for one night and wished we could stay longer. We had a great experience and enjoyed our stay very much! The accommodation was great and the food delicious. The owner Sam was such a wonderful host and the staff are friendly and always there to serve. We will definitely be back!! Thank
Immaculate! I had Calamari with Chorizo. What a nice meal. Well prepared, tasty, brilliant. You choose your own wine from what is available on the wine rack. Very much affordable. I really enjoyed my moment at a place that was on my bucket list for a very long time. Will definitely go back.
I'm writing these words while I'm still sitting in the restaurant just after finishing my meal. In my 5 years in South Africa I might not have had a more satisfying meal. It was stunning! The move to portuguese cuisine - brilliant! The quality and taste is simply outstanding. Well done, this is som
Expect the best. I like my meat WELL done and asked for my burger to be cooked like that. The BIGGEST burger arrived...cooked perfectly. No red, no blood, juicy and full of flavor. Service was great and lovely atmosphere sitting under the trees. Highly recommended.
My wife and I decided to have some dinner here for the first time since moving to the area a year ago... our only regret is that we never visited sooner... the food is absolutely incredible... if you are in the mood for Prawn or Sirloin Trinchado then you have to come give it a try. In our opinion,
When you walk in you have your doubts BUT never judge a book by its cover. The food was excellent! They serve really good portuguese food and we loved the ambience. Thank you.
I was surprised with a Mother's Day Lunch at Red Tin Roof. Very nice atmosphere, relaxed and the food was really good. We ordered the roast pork belly and chicken main, but then saw crispy marrow bones being brought to other tables and we had to have this. Best decision. The food was very good a
We haven't been to Red Tin Roof in a while and they've now changed their menu to more Portuguese style dining. The food was still top notch and the vibe still outstanding! Definitely worth the travel!
Amazing place! Lots of character, good vibe and excellent food. Live music on Sundays. A must for all visitors to Riebeek Kasteel.
