Review Knk Curries - Richards Bay

Stiaan Bekker (Stikie123)
Service was excellent, and fast! I tried their samoosas as a starter witch was amazing highly recommended. I then tried there famous mutton curry witch was good in its own right. The tables seem to be in a worn down state and some tops are loose so do watch out. But all together it's a wonderful experience with a bit of fresh sea air to enjoy.

Huge portion of beef curry with rice. Asked for spicy and I was pleasantly surprised at the level of heat in the food. Would absolutely visit again.

Did some good research and this is one of the top rated restaurants in RCB! was very excited to eat here. Got the mild mutton 1/4 bunny chow and 2 chicken jalapeno samoosas. Couldn't finish the bread, was too much. Lips were burning but taste was good. Would recommend coming here!

Food real Indian curry. Hot. Nice atmosphere.

Had a quarter mutton bunny and food was good! Reminds me of what Durban bunny's used to taste like in the early 2000's. Just not as rich but the heat is all there.

Wanted good food and to relax a bit. Service is good and the food might be the best curry in SA. The owner is a real good guy.

Proper curry, great service and all round quality. The samoosas and bunny chow are excellent. A local spot like this is a must see for anybody in Richards Bay. Thank you 😊

Such a gorgeous place in front of the habour. Old style curry place, with wheelchair access. You order at counter and they serve you such a wonderfully cooked hot bunny chow! The meat is well seasoned and amazingly cooked. The restaurant is clean and has bathrooms. Very friendly staff. Would recommend this place for anyone who visits Richardsbay!

Amazingly chilled... warm reception when placing your order, views of the naval shipyard, you kinda feel at home... not to mention the samoosas actually live up to all the reviews... really good

You have to try their beef bunny chow and samoosa's. Bunny Chow is bit pricey side of things. Get a ½ bunny chow and six samoosas. The scenery is set on a backdrop of barges, boats and loud horns.

The best Bunny in Richard's Bay by far...

For a local curry try this shop especially their samosas the best I've eaten!

"Curry on a hurry" is their speciality. Quite affordable and weather you choose cicken, beef or mutton, itis very tasty and spicy to a level of your choice. The local harbour workers are certainly not wrong and wash it down with a beer or drink of your choice. A frequent visit is justified during your stay.

I am from PMB and I have tried a lot of curry places .... I have been to KNK a few times in the past month. The food is Excellent and the vinegar chillies are tasty, busting and very hot (lol). Great service , amazing mutton bunny’s, kekaab roti and breyani. I would recommend this place to anyone going to Richards Bay. Keep up the standard...cannot wait to go back.

I recently visited knk during my lunch break as i was craving for some curry. I had ordered a mutton roti roll and was so disappointed. The number of bones in that roti roll, the roti tasted more like pancake and their wasnt enough salt in the curry. Was such a disappointment.I had eaten their before and their food was so good but now it seems like their food is just

My family visited from Saudi Arabia and rate the food very highly, both myself and my brother are in catering and understand that you will always get negative comments . I rate this establishment and it shows each time we go there its always busy.

My favorite curry place in South Africa. Lived in the Bay for 11 years and made sure I had a curry once a week. Moved to Amanzimtoti and yet to find a place like this. Friendly staff excellent service good food

When you arrive at the place you will most probably think go somewhere else.....but don't looks can be deceiving and it is at this place go in and try some curry. I had the lamb bunny and it was tastyand full of flavour. Would go there again.

Curry was so hot that it had no flavour- it just burnt! There was barely any sauce or meat and was mostly just bread. There should be a choice of the heat you would like and more flavour.

We visit this popular Takeaway often & although always busy, the service is friendly & on their toes. Very tasty curries & a nice little get-to-gether to social with friends.

Looks can be very deceiving and this place is proof thereof. Excellent curry. Better than most places in Durban that I have tried. Great value for money.

Despite it's outward appearance, KNK is first class. Best curry not just in the Bay but the best Durban curry I've ever had. Every time I go there it is packed and there's a reason why. Samoosas are a must have, fresh and crispy and not too oily served with a nice sweet chutney. Bunny chows are their main seller from what I could see but I ordered the mutton roti. There are no heat options, just as it comes and it is hot but so tasty you have to plow through. Can't wait to come back.

As previously stated, does not look inviting. But the service is good, prices very fair and the curry the best in town. Nice for informal quick meal.

If you are looking for the best, spicy curry in town, then this is the place to go. It's a small restaurant on the waterfront, does not look very inviting, but their curries are amazing!!! It is a must have if you are in the area.

The home of the Richards Bay Bunny Chow!!

Do not, fair reader, be intimidated at the way this place looks. Yes I concur, it isn't the best looking take away in looks, decor, smell ... anything really. However you will sorely miss out on an opportunity to sample one of the best KZN bunny chows if you judge this book by its cover!

R50 will get you a quarter mutton bunny ... and dont you dare even consider ordering anything else. YUMMMMMMMMM!!!!
