Review Akhalwaya's - Randburg

I ordered and the owner started shouting at the kitchen staff to stop yapping and get to work with a horrible and condescending tone. Just put me in a sad mood for them and I cancelled my order

The Garbage Pizza... now i have no idea what goes inside this crazy thing.. but after a slice or two you will know what i mean. Now this is extremely filling and has all sorts of meats and fries and sausages and cheese etc. If you have been to Joburg but not tried one you have not lives lol..! Its an experience for sure!!

Delicious. Definitely worth a visit. Like the experience of eating with my hands but a wet wipe would be appreciated

This was the best choice I ever made! A bunny chow just the way I remember it! And that hot sauce they sell!

Whenever you're lussing for that that chips, polony, steak, cheese + more super sandwich or a simply slap chips craving, this place is it! Don't even bother buying a kota from another joint, you're wasting your time. I dare you to finish a toasted Milano special in one go!

Their food is excellent & service is great, really like their toasted stake special without the cheese, its the best, it's very moreish & price is reasonable.

This is not your menu so please make the effort to upload a menu of what you actually offer in your store. Or scratch out what is not available instead of misleading people. Thanks.

Remain best "slap chip" in the neighbourhood. When you need comfort food their chips with heaps of vinegar make you feel much better. It s worth the trouble.

I've been looking for a decent curry spot close to home and I think I found it! I've always just had the samoosas which are above average. This time I decided to give the lamb curry a go. Ordered the large portion which was great value. Only R68, served with rice and salad and big enough portion for 2 of us to eat dinner! The flavour of the curry was great, though it could have been hotter. A few curried chillies helped cure my heat woes. There was a bit too much rice, which was too oily for my liking, and a little more gravy would have been nice. The portion of lamb was excellent - it was super tender though there were lots of bones. Also only one potato in the curry - would have liked at least one more.

They're take away only but that's ok, as they're conveniently located next to the Pick n Pay - ideal for a take away dinner / lunch after your grocery shopping. The couple who run the store were super friendly too. It's one of the best value meals I've had in a while.

Being a Durban girl, my curry expectations are high and I was impressed with the taste and the portion size. Will definitely be back for their Friday breyani and maybe try out their bunny chow next time.
The best potato samoosas in town! I never pass this little outlet without buying a couple. The other samoosas are good, too. The curries are tasty but served with too much rice and not enough meat/veg for my liking. Also, the meat is served bones and all. Takeaways only - no dine-in.

Seating would be highly appreciated! The staff here is always friendly and ready to take your order, the downside of the food here is that it is very unhealthy, I had a Lamb Curry Roti and what appealed to me was the authentic Indian flavours from the curry, which many Indian restaurants seem to not get right.

If you intend watching your waistline, this is not recommended! Most of their food is deep fried, hence greasy, and they do not skimp on the sauces or cheeses either! Having said that I think this is one of the best junk food outlets around. There is no seating available and the fact that cresta doesn't have a food court makes it unsuitable for a quick lunch during a shopping spree. I have no issues with that since I am happy to eat such a meal in the privacy of my own home to avoid displaying any unlady like tendencies :)
