After hearing rave reviews from friends and colleagues, I got a 311 (honey chicken) as a take out. I certainly can't fault what I saw of the restaurant, Blessing, the Manager, was excellent and the food was ready in probably 3 or 4 minutes. I must have chosen the incorrect dish as it was super sweet (I do have a sweet tooth and it was too sweet for me) so I will give it another try some time in the future with a different dish
Blessing the store manager is always extremely friendly and helpful! The food is delicious and fresh and you don’t wait ages for your food! On my birthday they even sent me a special dessert to my table.
After having a terrible experience at the branch in Clearwater Mall I vowed not to go again to any Simply Asia. We waited 20 min for a waiter to come to take our drink order and then we had to wait for more than an hour for food at which point I walked out. The manager was not pleasant at all and I will not back to Clearwater Mall Branch. On the contrary visited the one in Randpark Ridge. Experience was not bad. Had the sushi which was fresh and tasty. The mains were not bad, ordered hot but the food was mild. There is room for improvement.
I was quite hesitant to order from here because many of the reviews weren't great, but when I phoned to place my order I was very impressed with the friendly man who I spoke to - he got my order first time and told me the food would be ready in ten minutes. We arrived a little later than that, and were greeted warmly by all three staff at the counter, and our food was ready and waiting and still nice and hot. We took our food home and thoroughly enjoyed it. Very happy customers - keep it up! :)
Great food and service. No knives on the table but that's the way they roll...................................................................
The food is good here at Simply Asia. However we order out quite a lot and always seem to wait ages for our food even though we phone before hand. This doesn't matter whether the restaurant is busy or not. Otherwise I'd rate it higher.
What an amazing meal. 530 on the menu with a sushi starter and a pinotage to go with it. Fantastic recommend to all and great service with it too.

One can always expect a pleasant meal at Simply Asia. Standard thai/far east fare with a few Western twists. Tasty and easy on the wallet. The Randpark Ridge branch has quite a few jolly and attentive waitresses. If you're not expecting the Ritz, you'll be more than pleased. Recently had the tasty Cashew Yellow Noodles. Very tasty, yet slightly more oily than I expected.
We went for a late lunch which has its benefits, we get to have the restaurant mostly to ourselves so we had awesome service.
We have avoided going to Simply Asia because it's a franchise and not on top of our bucket list.
We had a really enjoyable lunch, started with some sushi and Thai dim sum combo. This was so good and the dim sum sauce enhances all the flavours of the dumplings even though the dumplings were not executed very well.
For mains we had the soya duck and Linguine Phad Tom Yum, the lemongrass flavour fills your mouth and then there is the kick of the chilli. Fiancé says duck was very tasty and has a sweetness to it. The rice smelled really good as it arrived.
We even ordered sushi takeaways for later just in case. Finished with fried banana & ice cream, didn't excite me the banana didn't feature.

Great service with delicious selection. Our favourite is the green curry noodles.
Make sure you get an updated menu for take-aways! Very fast and efficient service.
I'm big fan of Thai cuisine & Simply Asia never disappoints. I had the duck curry with jasmine rice - the veggies were done perfectly. The waiters are attentive & always near to attend to your needs. The one thing I didn't like about this branch was is that they don't have bathrooms in the restaurant - one has to walk to the centre bathrooms right at end of the shopping centre.
Had a spectacular lunch today. Food was amazing and full of flavour. Friendly staff and overall great experience. Best way to end off the week.
I love the food @ Simply Asia, it's well priced, and the service is invariably quick. The Asian flavours are distinct, and the dim sum is the best around. Somehow the ambience doesn't work with the food, so close your eyes for maximum enjoyment
I love eating at Simply Asia and was very happy to see that the food and service quality is consistent throughout their restaurants.
Absolutely delicious food with aromatic mouth watering flavours and just the right amount of bite.
Would really like to see them increase their portion sizes though as I feel that you dont get enough food for the prices you pay.
Overall I had a great experience here and really enjoyed my meal.
Most delicious asian takeaway I have had in a while. Number 523 -red sauce noodles with chicken and 614 -phuket noodles with prawn and calamari was yummy. It had the perfect heat and the veggies a perfect crunch. Definitely the best choices on the menu...

Yummmm! I could literally eat Thai cuisine every day of my life. Simply Asia is everything! Their dishes always burst with flavour, using fresh produce and authentic Thai spices.
I went with an old school friend. Simply Asia is a favourite of ours. Their sweet and sour chicken is absolutely amazing! And the service is always excellent! We started with Taud-Man Khao-Phod (Sweet Corn Cakes). It was the first time I'd tried these and they were very interesting... still the highlight was my sweet and sour chicken! Such a highlight I forgot to take a photo :P
We often stop here for take-aways after running in the evening.
The service used to be terrible, and slow, but in the last few months they've really jacked it up.
My favourite is the red curry chicken. My husband's favourite is the Thai yellow chicken with salsa.
The sushi is also great, my favourite is their salmon roses.
I also like that they're using the Appetite app, so you can order your take-aways without phoning :)
We went to grab a bite while there was loadshedding, and it was quite full - we got the last table but the service didn't drop because of it. The served our wine in champagne glasses (they had run out of normal glasses), but it still did the job :) we all throughly enjoyed our meals, great place for a quick meal
Always hits the spot when in the mood for something Thai! And my kids love their noodles and rice so nothing gets waisted! Went for their mild Tom Yum soup and it was balanced perfectly with just the right amount of chillies and lemon, kids had the honey chicken which was a winner for those that don't want anything spicy. And now we have the loyalty card so we will continue to support this we'll run franchise.
Their new menu is definitely worth a try. Chicken wings freshly fried and good to eat with a nice crisp on the skin. Basil fried rice hot - be careful with the hot, but oh my what a taste. The new chicken rotis were very tasty and fresh. Great value for money
Dropped in for lunch this afternoon. And so glad we did. The freshest, tastiest sushi I've tasted in a while and half price too!! Take advantage of the specials you'll be glad you did. Bookmarked this place for further visits. Recommended.
I really recommend this restaurant even though i usually only take the exact same meals. The food is always in a good and fresh condition and have never really had any issues. As for eating at the restaurant, i cannot really comment since i always get take aways.
If you're ever looking for amazing thai food then Simply Asia is definitely a must! The strangest part was I found an amazing dessert which I am now craving again - Chocolate Filled Spring Rolls are amazing!!
I enjoy a good sushi and Simply Asia did not disappoint at all. All the dishes..from the spring rolls to the crazy number of sushi dishes ordered were fresh and left my senses asking for more and more. The ambiance is also nice and relaxed to have a good conversation with friends and parking allows for easy access to the restaurant. Friendly staff and an overall good night. Definitely one of my top stops for sushi..watch this space for more top spots..I love a good sushi!!
Thai seafood noodles.Sushi and crab salad always include generous portions and freshness.Good for a quick meal.
This is authentic thai food at its best. Simply Asia serves great food in a comfortable atmosphere.
I absolutely love their prawn noodle ensamble. I dont quite know the exact name but it also has a bit of calamari too.
I laugh at the fact that their menu is numbered- which makes it easy to order but sounds funny anyways.
Most orders sound like : "Could I have a 366 please and a side order of 278."
The portions are fairly large and you often leaved there stuffed.
Service wise, it is adequate and warm- whenever I go there I feel at home.
I havent tried anything on their dessert menu but their food is defnitely value for money.
Such good cashew chicken, we used to order it for takeouts every Friday night. Best part? If you're two fairly small eaters, its easily sharable! Once, while waiting for our takeouts, my mom and I tried the chocolate spring rolls. Oh my goodness: heaven on a plate! Greasy heaven, I admit, but still. I highly recommend you try them! And I love that they have blankets in case you get chilly. Lovely!
This is one of my favourite Thai restaurants. Simply Asia Randpark branch is really easy to find, the atmosphere is great here unless you are sitting outside and it is windy and even with the covers that protect the outdoor seating from the wind and rain, somehow it still manages to creep in. The staff here always have a smile on their faces and are really friendly. I ate a sweet and sour stir fry and it was delicious! I recommend that if you are in the mood for Thai cuisine, take a drive to Simply Asia!
Simply Asia is where it's at for delicious and affordable Thai Food. The one in Honey Crest has most of its seating outside, but when it's cold or raining, they pull down the shades, and pull out the blankets.
My favourite thing to order is the Sweet Corn Cakes. They come with a tangy dipping sauce, and are pretty amazing.
I also love that they never give me hassles about substituting yellow noodles for rice noodles. The main portions are very generous.
You can also get takeaways, if you prefer not to sit down and eat there.
Simply Asia will always be a typical favorite. You can’t go wrong with their food. Everything that you try is different flavour a of explosions.
My number favorite will always be the chicken Phad Thai. The sauce is sour and sweet with a perfect balance of crunch and creaminess from the peanuts. The lemon juice ties everything together especially with the mung bean sprouts. The tofu is tender as well as the saucy chicken bits.
Other recommended dishes:
-Thai Green curry
-Consommé soup
-Spring rolls
-Their sushi rolls
-Their ramen
-Their crumbed chicken dishes
Overall every single dish is unique! Super tasty and comforting. Great for when you don’t want to cook and need something hearty.
If you want flavour, spice and all things Nice, you have to try Simply Asia. This delicious Thai food and noodle bar is a definite must! We had the Prawn Spring Rolls (Po-Pia Goong) served with a sweet chilli sauce for starter. For Mains we had the Chicken Hongkong Noodle (Kywe Tiew Hongkong) and the waiters recommendation Creamy Peanut Curry with Chicken (Gaeng Khua Neuy Thua) To say it was amazing is an understatement. The portions were so filling and so tasty we couldnt get enough.
After years of my mother trying to get me to come and eat something, at least, at Simply Asia I finally did so tonight.
Had dish 553 (Tonkatsu Noodles) with Calamari. It was absolutely delicious (this coming from a picky eater that sticks to eating the same food constantly).
I recommend the dish
One of our regular spots. Consistently good food.
My first time here. I was there for an early supper so there weren't a lot of people yet. I was greeted with a warm and friendly smile and shown to my table of choice. Decided on sushi as a starter. Had sushi and tampura prawns..... Absolutely amazing. I then decided on the crispy honey duck. Wow!!! So divine. I really enjoyed the food, thank you Simply Asia. I love that I can also order take aways here. Their staff are all so friendly and to me that does enhance the whole experience. I will definitely be back. When I left there was already quite a lot of people chatting away.
Food always tasty. Portions enough to fill a hungry stomach. Staff helpful and they just want to feed you😄. Lunch or dinner a must.
Delicious food for a quick supper. My friend and I meet here regularly. She is vegan and menu caters well for her. Glass of wine and stir fry or noodles. Delicious
Complete package. Great starter. Fresh, tasty, worth having another so that you can have a starter as mains. Main course was a great meal. Spicy, amazing flavours. The service is friendly efficient even though the restaurant was pumping and people waiting to be seated. Our waitress was polite and eager to help. She was sensitive to my partners needs, and happy to offer a mild selection with extra chilies on the side so that we can spice it up for ourselves. Great evening. Thanks guys
Their hot Tempura prawn sushi is the best and I've tried other branches. I will drive all the way from Sandton just for them. They need to share their secret with franchises closer to me :)
This is the best Simply Asia. Their food is always excellent and super tasty. 🙌
Great friendly staff as well.
Food and service is always good here. I've never been disappointed with any meal from Simply Asia.
Good Asian food. Clean restaurant. Good sized portions. Service a little slow. I will pay another visit.
Waiter service was really bad, which is unusual for them. Possibly understaffed
This Simply Asia by our area is so far the best one!!! The flavours, the taste, the sweetness and the right amount of salty-ness. Even down to the steamed rice (cooked through properly and the right moisture of the rice) and I'm Asian so I know what is good cooked rice. The service is not bad as well as the servers/managers are attentive. My absolute favourite is the Tom Yum soup with prawns!!! Best warmer for winters and rainy days.
