My favourite butcher in the north of JHB. Regularly purchase beef, chicken, pork and lamb products as well as cold cuts and cheese and am never dissapointed.

Since I don't have a car, I don't mind travelling by taxi from JHB South to Stridjdom Park for their russians, pork neck & pork belly rolls, and I was lucky on the 30/12/16 their lamb chops & pork ribs were on promotion. The tellers at the tills, Lili especially, always full of smiles & friendly staff.

I drive from Alberton in the south of JHB to buy their roasted pork neck sandwiches for my mates. Their meats and bakery items will have you drooling. Love the outside area where you can sit and have a lunch.

Bought a bulk pkt of chicken breasts - you should see the size of these things - super fresh, tender and super tasty at a great price too!

Stopped in at the Deli restaurant for lunch. Hubby ordered the Chicken Schnitzel - supposed to be served with bratkartoffelen (fried cubed potatoes) - well, we got chips (fries) chopped up!!!! Not happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do believe Seemann's have been in Strydompark since 1999 (when we moved to Jhburg). Always busy, always the most amazing meats to buy!!!!
Today we stopped for a REALLY late lunch, VERY early dinner - Hein had a chicken schnitzel with chips and a bun ... R56 - huuuge portion, delicious! I had the pork in pita (R50) with chips - oh my goodness, it was such a lot!!!! Absolutely scrumptious!
But what I love about these places ... they have imported products. So fun to see interesting jams and chocolates.
Products are nice, but for a “factory shop” kind of outlet I find it a little expensive. The restaurant/deli outside on the deck on the other hand offers great value for money. Service is fast and friendly and the food fresh and yummy.
Great little gem tucked away, just off the main road. Good selection of fresh pastries from the bakery. Great selection of premium meats, tasty sausages (with free sampling to wet the taste buds) and rounded off cooked food staring at you just before the pay points. There's also imported soft drinks and at adjoining cafe/eatery to enjoy at your leisure.

The deli side has a huge array of different meat cuts te be had for a meal during the day. My favourite, the chicken schnitzel on a bum with lettuce, tomatoe, gherkin and cheese. Add some mayo and you have a spectacular meal.
The eishbeins are fantastic. There is pork neck, pork belly, beef roast, huge frikkadels, pork schnitzels and then some. If you want a breakfast, don't go to early and get pap and kaiings!!! Superb!!
The texan ribs is something different.
A place that I visit often to taste the fair.
What a joy! From the start:on arrival-excellent security(look for the guard on the roof as overwatch)-greeted with warm smiles and welcoming attitudes, let alone the gorgeous smells of roasted meats-superb, quality cuts in a super clean environment-approachability and eagerness to please, assistance with advice-great store! Can’t think of anything else except a slight pity about stock(because of the seasonal rush, which speaks for itself). Well done!

Once my favorite deli in Johannesburg. While it used to offer a wide variety of high-quality items, recent visits have shown a noticeable decrease in the variety.
First time visiting the place after reading the reviews. I must say it's clean and decent. The meat is good but not like proper chisa nyama. Tends to get busy in the restaurant on weekends
Just the best restaurant in JHB when it comes to German cuisine if you in the mood for a large breakfast and a very reasonable price then this is your place. They sell the best ribs and sausages. This place is a must for any German 🇩🇪 food lover.
Didn’t know of this wonderful butchery/restaurant and was glad that a friend brought me here. Very well made ribs at very affordable prices. Would recommend it.

I’ve decided that I’d like to learn German. Signed up for Duo Lingo and am on a 7 day streak. To assist with my enculturation. My good partner and family decided to give me German presents and we then arranged a German themed birthday meal. And so we stopped in at Seemanns Deli. Wow. What a find. Huge selection. Excellent prices. On the advice of staff, amazing bought Nurenberger, Osterkrainer and Brakeurst sausages ( or should I say wurst). Superb food. What a great birthday meal.
It's a cut above the rest when it comes to cold meats and German sausages.Variety is great, Specials are real Specials, and all the staff are friendly and knowledgeable.The only reason for 4 Stars is that you didn't have oxtail on Saturday 07.07.2023.
