Excellent food! The food is authentic Indian cuisine, but in a very contemporary setting.With most Indian restaurants in Johannesburg, when you ask for"hot", it's more like mildly spicy. Sitar dispels that generalisation when you take the first bite. As it turns out, the chef is from India, and the
Food is a little pricey but prepared fresh and with boneless leg of lamb (if you have the lamb).
The curry was really nice.
Sitar has just reopened and the wait was a bit long as I assume they're still working out the kitchen logistics.
Great place, divine food, overly eager waitrons (guess there's a strict manager)...most dishes in their respective category are priced the same. Flavours are amazing...Lamb Bhuna Gosht is my go to favourite! Will keep on returning with new friends and family! Very hospitable owners.
What an awesome evening...!!! the food was amazing...it exceeded my expectations...the drinks are on point, the waitrons are friendly and approachable...the manager is great...I had such a lovely time! and the food is not that pricey... ;)
Finally ate a meal at sitar after years of premeditation. The food and service is excellent. Anyone looking for an authentic Indian experience need not look any further!
Excellent North Indian cuisine, served with graciousness and warmth. One of the best Indian restaurants in Johannesburg.
