We’ve eaten at The Whippet a few times before and it never disappoints! Yesterday was the all day summer brunch with antonijrupert wines, and the vibe was chilled and happy, the food and service exemplary, and the entertainment fabulous, care of byefelicia We’ll be back! 😃👍😁

Superb breakfast venue. Fab options, served by efficient and courteous staff and everything tastes delicious. Plus it's buzzy and so busy, it's cosy even in icy winter weather.

Best coffee and food in Linden and professional cheerful staff. If you want to start the day with the right foot this is the place! The barista Cornelius knows how to make a proper coffee (and said it by an Italian, it is a guarantee) and Sam doesn't play around, he can find quickly a solution for all your needs. Well recommend for all the film crews who work in the district and for those who came oversease like us...The Whippet knows how to make you feel part of the community!

I really enjoyed this place. We enjoyed out food, we had mimosas. The interior is beautiful, the first thing you see when you walk in is the delicious desserts on display. One downside is that you cannot make a reservation so if it is packed you are likely going to have to wait for a table to be available.

A really quaint spot with friendly efficient service! Loved that we could sit outside in the ivy covered patio. Many people were busy on their laptops so it makes for a great remote work spot. The food was excellent. Loved the menu options... wanted to try almost everything. I loved my Korean buttermilk crusted chicken and crisp wafer chips. The burger was also excellent and portions were great. Best chai tea ever! A slice of delicious banana cake made its way home with us.

Always busy, but that's nothing new. It took us about 10-15mins to get a seat. I haven't been here in 5 years, but happy to say that the quality of food is still amazing. Will come back again to try more of their yummy noms!

One of the best breakfast/Brunch places I have been to. I had a Classic French Toast. The bread was soft and delicious, I’m not a fan of strawberries but I ate the one that was on the plate. It is a beautifully curated offering. Their Cortado was a bit on the strong side.

We had to wait a little but it was worth it. Friendly and efficient staff, complimentary champagne while waiting and mouth watering food. Highly recommend sitting outside on a sunny day. Great vibes.

Had a lovely working breakfast/brunch with my friends. We all loved our meals and the service was awesome. Their wifi was speedy and you get 120 mins free (the perfect place to work if you want a change of atmosphere). The staff were awesome, the bathroom was clean and parking wasn’t too much of a mission (but it is a busy street in Linden so it’s dependent on the time of day). The French toast was some of the best I’ve had and I’ll definitely be back again for it. Would definitely recommend this place.

Strong recommend for brunch fare if you don't have dietary restrictions. I love the atmosphere - there's a cute ivy-covered pergola you can sit under outside - and the decor really cool with a lot of attention paid to the aesthetics and the menu presentation. The service is attentive. I got the French toast and it was more of a deep-fried preparation with batter than it was an egg-focussed preparation. The bread was a bit floury, too. But the portion was generous, if I wasn't avoiding fried food I'd probably have loved it. The starter salad was tasty but miniscule and unfilling. Their pastry and cake counter is delicious, though. Try the milk tart and the chock chip cookie. The prawn scrambled eggs has left the menu but it was top notch. Their gin and mimosa options are extensive - it's a fun space to meet with the girls and chat for hours.

Very aesthetic and great vibe. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We arrived 15 minutes before closing time and they still managed to make us a quick meal and the Nutella Doughnut Cappuccino. The food was delicious and not over priced. Will definitely return.

Found this place on tiktok and finally got to visit it. It did not disappoint, it’s worth the hype. Food was delicious. Service was good, it was cold and we were offered blankets. Will definitely visit again.

Always beautiful, airways good food (the strawberry cake was incredible, as was the iced lavender latte). Unfortunately, it is just too packed for my liking! And they have limited wifi, so not great for a sit-and-work date. They do have a great set up though so I normally just go early and leave before lunch.

Was a bit hard to find but so worth it. Fantastic experience. Was fairly full and we were fortunate to get there just before the queues. Service was quick despite the high occupancy. I had a the french toast and my wife, the breakfast burrito. Both were delicious. The burrito presentation was nothing special but the taste was fantastic. Menu looks interesting so we will be returning when in the area next time, maybe for brunch.

This place has snatched the number 1 lunch spots on my list. What a wonderful cosy and intimate space! The food was exceptional, I practically wiped my plate clean. The buttermilk chicken benedict was the showstopper, alongside the rump steak sandwich which was also great with extra avo and mushrooms. Their skinny fries were a hit with that ranch sauce on the side. You can tell that meals are well balanced and as a foodie, I really appreciate fine details. Do yourself a favour and try the Barbadoes Slinger and seal it off with their popular milk tart. Thoroughly impressed and a special shout out to Zandi our waitress. We were well taken care of it made our first experience that much better. We arrived in the afternoon around 1pm and it wasn't packed at all. Ample street parking too. Don't walk here..RUN! I'll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. Great job The Whippet, you've got a great thing going here.

First time experience at the whippet and it did not disappoint. This place pumps on the weekend. Their pricing is reasonable for what you get, every food item is presented beautifully and portion sizes are great! I tried something out of my comfort zone and it was one of the best meals I’ve had. Their buttermilk fried chicken Benedict is too die for! Eggs are perfectly runny, and their chicken is tender and crispy. Definitely going to come back here to try their other meals! 09/08- came here today for women’s day and got spoilt by trying the best Parmesan chicken strips. They were perfectly tender, piping hot and their aioli was so creamy and decadent. The sriracha melt was one of the most delicious things I’ve eaten in a whole. The focaccia was so soft and fresh and the little herbs on top gave it that extra flavor. The chicken was tender and melted away in your mouth with the spicy Mayo, caramelized onions and stringy mozzarella cheese. Can’t wait to try more.

Food was great, mimosas too! Tables are very close together, so it can feel a little claustrophobic when the place is full. It seems like a super popular cafe, so I'd suggest booking in advance if you're going to be a big table. Otherwise the wait time (25mins) wasn't too bad. Service was also a little touch and go, had three waitresses attend to us, having to repeat our orders to each one.
