Review Riverview Lodge - Prieska

Right on the edge of the Orange River in Prieska situated at the end of a cul-de-sac this tranquil gem is all you need for a stopover. The property has a guest house, a restaurant and a bar where locals meet.

The bar and restaurant has an amazing view of the Orange River while enjoying your meal and some drinks. The rooms are comfortable and has some rooms suitable for families. You are also allowed to bring your pet if you prearrange it.

Beautiful view directly next to the river. Breakfast for me was very expensive. They need to adjust the price of what you eat. Rooms old but very neat. Staff fantastic. Helpful and friendly and you feel like an old friend.

We stayed over for the night. Was a memorable experience. Very friendly people and the food was great. The best chicken livers I tasted and the steak was perfect. The following morning's breakfast was great and sitting on the bank of the orange river with a spectacular view just made it better.

The Kingfisher chalet was perfect for the overnight stay. Aircon was a winner during hot night. Restaurant can be recommended. Good reception and value for money. Very quiet area allow a good night's rest after a day's travel.

Thanks to Marie, Gert and all their staff. Our Motor Cycle Group (50 members) stayed there for a weekend. Their accommodation, food (2 x Braai's and Breakfast) and the meeting facilities arranged for or meeting was great. The refreshment area is above standard. They made sure our stay was top notch and went out of their way to make this a pleasant weekend. I will recommend Riverview Lodge to all. Thanks again!

All you need for a pleasant stay. Good food and friendly service at the bar. The view of the Orange river create the tranquility you wished for.

Wonderful place. Gert, Martie and Handre do every thing to make your stay as comfortable as possible and Willa cooks the best traditional food along the Oranje River. Nice rooms, nice garden and a great view over the river. A clean, simple and friendly lodge for a very decent price.

I spent two weeks in prieska, during my stay at the river view lodge I experienced nothing but good service and hospitality. I would also like to mention that as the days went by I would leave all my small change and laptop in my room while at work and it was never touched. It was amazing to experience that kind of honesty. Thank you Tannie Marty and Oom Gert.

The proprietors are friendly, fair, and attentive to all needs. This is the only lodge in prieska with a full service bar 6 nights a week, full service restaurant 6 days a week. The staff even helped us book a spur-of-the-moment sidetrip to Agrobeis. They make special accommodations for dinners and breakfasts on Sundays for long-term stays. The food is excellent, with a menu large enough it would take a month to try everything! Thank you Gert, Martie, Handre and Willa. Hope to see you again!

An awesome view of the mighty river, a little bush lodge in the middle of nowhere. Food is amazing and hospitality great.

Great space for a sun down-er. Nice people to talk with. Request songs. The food is good.
