Review Guy Fieri's Kitchen And Bar - Pretoria

This is a great restaurant, with an americana feel. Would put this in a sports bar restaurant category, could be lots of fun meeting friends, watching sports and then challenging them to a bull ride... awesome. Food was really tasty and good on the eye, generous portions, filled up my always hungry teen son. Pricing is a bit high, but not expected being in a high class casino environment. Would definitely be back with my family.

The burger you always but can't get is right here. The big mac and cheese burger is the best I ever had. Perfect balance of flavours. Spot on American bar and diner vibe. Staff is friendly and service is great. Can highly recommend it. Bit on the higher end in terms of price but you get for what you pay. Entertainer app can help here.

Considering the foods that attract GF on his shows, this restaurant is all about typical American junk food. We had Mac n Cheese burgers, were enticed by the Ringer (might go back for that), shared the American Royal ribs and the bourbon brown sugar BBQ chicken wings, rounding the afternoon off with the dark chocolate whiskey cake and the cheesecake challenge. The burgers and the desserts are what makes the place worth the drive. The ribs were not amazing and quite pricey (R250 for the full rack) and the chicken wings needed more of a crunch, or something... nice to know the place, and the deco is cool but not sure I will make it a weekly spot.

I am writing again, I had rhe opportunity to visit the restaurant again on the 12th February. Wow. What a difference, service was amazing ... the food was first class, I can honestly say this was the best meal I have had in a long time. This is the Standard that the restaurant should expect. I did convey my thanks and appreciation to the chef. We asked around at other tables and all seemed to enjoy their meals.. well done .It was really good. Thanks . I will go again. First class This was my previous message.... Disappointed. We have been fans of Guy Fieri for many years and with much expectations we visited the restaurant on 31st December. We ordered ribs with Guy's famous six cheese mac and cheese. Well, the mac and cheese arrived ice cold, the chips were not cooked and some came almost raw. The ribs were so tough, and the bourbon brown sugar basting was lost on ribs that came as if they were microwaved. The cole slaw had ZERO dressing and was just chops raw veggies ... its the first time in our 23 years of marriage that we have refused to pay for a meal.. its very sad that Guy's name and standards are getting dragged so low... I am sure that if he knew what standards his restaurant wad setting he would not be happy... the prices are at a premium and am sure if this standard persists Guy will be one restaurant down very soon... the worst was there was no appearance or apology from the kitchen... not what we were expecting from a what has the potential to be a world class restaurant...

Came here with an open mind, and was not disappointed. The starter which was smoked pull pork belly and coleslaw on a small bun...it was delicious, Fort the main had a bacon wrapped springbok loin with mash and mixed veg, My wife had a burger called The Ringer. All in all the service with atmosphere was great.

Guy Fieri's Kitchen Bar South Africa 1 Sentence description: Ignore whatever you think of GF, as he sure knows how to make great tasty and filling food. ## What’s good here? Try the 'Signature Sandwiches’. I had the award-winning Bacon Mac ’n Cheese - “Smoked bacon, six-cheese Mac n cheese, LTOP (lettuce, tomato, onion + pickle), SMC (super melty cheese), crispy onions + donkey sauce on a toasted brioche bun. I also tasted the Motley Que - "House smoked pulled-pork smothered in Guy's bourbon brown sugar BBQ sauce, slaw, pickles, cheddar cheese, onion straws + donkey sauce on a toasted pretzel bun." Both were mighty fine. Truth be told, whilst the Bacon Mac ’n Cheese was very, very good I wish I had chosen the Motley Que. The taste and sauciness were exceptional. What’s an ‘Opportunity for Improvement’? Food service was a little slower than expected, especially as it was a quiet night. However, it probably takes quite a lot of preparation time to stack and balance those bad boys! Tell me More It’s worth checking out for offers such as Entertainer (Buy One Get One Free) as we saved 140 ZAR (the cheaper sandwich - Bacon Mac ’n Cheese - is the freebie. Anything to disclose? The vibe is great here, and definitely gives you an American feel. The food is quite pricey but the burger is a big portion. The award winning Mac and Cheese burger could honestly have done with more flavor but the Buffalo wings with bluesabi sauce (blue cheese and wasabi) was excellent! Just writing about it now makes my mouth water! The hot wings basting is quite spicy but is calmed down by the dipping sauce. The service was good.

Excellent experience - Mechanical Bull makes for endless entertainment. Food is out of bounds 😎 - service is exceptional. Put this on your to do list.

Nice atmosphere. Food is good but expensive. The food has a definite American vibe to it. Service was slow as well as the kitchen. This needs to be stepped up. Otherwise worth a visit at least once!

I had a great time here... burger was huge and stuffed after... everyone around us seemed to have a great time too. Pricey but worth every penny. Asked for mayo on side and they did not have, only negative point I have. Will visit again, definitely.

Great vibe, good food. If you're a cheese lover this place is for you!

I was a bit hesitant to try the place, considering the overall rating. I found the place to be very inviting and upscale. We had four different burgers and all were delicious. The patty alone has a really good flavour that it doesn't really need much toppings but the toppings are great (especially the pastrami). The fried chicken was tender and the burger had a nice spiciness to it. The bacon, Mac and cheese is definitely a must try. The burgers ooze with delicious cheese. I would definitely like to return to try other options on the menu.<br/>The food seems pricey but once you get the good you realize it's worth it (none of us could finish a portion).<br/>The waitress was incredibly friendly. All in all, a great experience.<br/>Also, this is not a fast food joint. The food did take long to prepare (it seemed the case with other customers as well) but it was worth the wait.

08.12.2019 Eat. Drink. Repeat with friends. I finally got to try Guy Fieri's Kitchen Bar in Time Square South Africa<br/><br/>They have revamped the place and now allow children too. There also seems to be a change in menu since they first opened.<br/><br/>We started off by sharing the TrashCan Nachos, with some added pulled Pork... loved how its served at the table. The menu is quite intimidating with all its HUGE offerings. It was tasty, needed some spice and maybe some extra guacamole 😂 but that's just me.<br/><br/>After that I decided on a burger. Can't remember the name, but it was the beef Burger with Spicy Italian Sausage, Cheese, Onion Rings, Lettuce etc served with fries and ketchup. Delicious, juicy and VERY messy.<br/><br/>The portion sizes are rather filling so go with a massive appetite if you dont want to be defeated 😋<br/><br/>Service wasnt too bad either, considering it was rather quiet initially then got busier as the afternoon progressed...<br/><br/>#TheFoodMusketeer<br/>#TheFoodMusketeerEats<br/>#TFMGuyFieri<br/>BoozyFoodie<br/>Die Smulpape

First time and the last one as well. Totally outpriced. Flavourless hamburgers. Beers was hot not even cold so that you can say its out of a fridge. Service excellent

America in the hart of Pretoria. What a great place to have a good evening with friends and even a lovely afternoon burger lunch. <br/><br/>The signature Bacon Mac and Cheese burger lives up to its name an popularity. Just WOW!!!!<br/><br/>Everything you could want in a burger. The taste was something out of this world. The perfect combination of sweet and sour and leave such an amazing flavour in your mouth. <br/><br/>The vibe is great. Bull riding. Friendly people and staff. Loved every moment. <br/><br/>Thank you Guy Fieri for a great experience and AMAZING FOOD!

Cozy vibe, fast and friendly service from the waiter and host. Ordered the Cheesecake Challenge and Fried ice cream. Both made my mouth scream “Plot Twist”. Really good experience.
Zani Bormann
The burgers were unnecessarily huge but really tasty. The toppings are very well paired. I do recommend ordering something with heat to cut through the richness of the rest. The chips are frozen chips - you would expect hand cut chips for those prices. We were a table of four - three people got their meals at the same time. The last plate arrived 20 minutes later. So service needs a boost.

Worst Ceasar Salad in history! Finely chopped lettuce smothered and mixed into in heaps of bland dressing with large oil soaked croutons. The chicken wings were also bland and uninspiring. The wine list is average to say the least and half of the options are not in stock. Definitely no going back to this one!

We were excited to finally try Guy Fieri's restaurant as I'm a huge fan of his but the excitement slowly died. The meals weren't too bad but the service was slow and we found a baby roach on our table as we were dining. We ordered nachos which lacked some flavor and was rather soggy. The signature dish chicken fried chicken and wings were tasty but did not sit well with us soon after as we weren't feeling too well. The wings also stated that it is accompanied by a raw veggie medley and that was just 2 carrot sticks and 2 slices of radish.

The evening we came here, there was such a vibe in the restaurant! The staff were very friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our food. The food is quite 'different', as it is American (bigger is better) style, but we still found it quite tasty and it was exciting to try something new.

The food is really unique to SA..<br/>The servings are massive!!!<br/>Their Mac and cheese burger was really good but really filling!<br/>Atmosphere is really nice and this can be the perfect location to watch sports with massive tv in the centre.<br/><br/>Oh and there's a a bull that you can ride if you dare!
Jenna Lavagna
Amazing American food, a wonderful sports atmosphere and some of the best service I have received in Pretoria. Perfect for a nibble before a show as well. (Just remember to book!)<br/>Our waiter Delight was the personification of his namesake. My family and I left the restaurant on a high, especially after the size of the single slice of cake for desert took us all down!

Arrive Hungry!<br/>Nice ambiance.American diner/ Bar...as advertised!<br/>We went for Friday lunch...veey Quiet, which for us is great. Being in a casino venue it is guaranteed that after work it will get busy.<br/><br/>The literal baby trash-can of chicken Nachos to share could easily feed 4...very tastyty!!!!<br/><br/>Springbok loin (med rare)and Fried chicken was our choice of mains...both very tasty!<br/>A doggy bag was necessary..<br/><br/>Service by our waitress Fortune was polite, prompt and friendly, thank you!<br/><br/>An all round very enjoyable lunch !

We spontaneously food splored the popular Guy Fieri's Kitchen & bar late at night and I must say from the moment we entered we could instantly feel the liveliness of that place. The vibe was just so lit, great atmosphere it was. The music was a jam<br/><br/>Everything was just unique to me, even the food. We ordered a mac and cheese burger which was quite interesting. The patty was nicely prepared, very juicy. Overall the burger was strictly scrumptious!!(after all what could really go wrong with a juicy patty, lots of cheese and bacon?!). The chicken wigs on the other hand were very disappointing :(, they were not tasty at all. Cocktail drinks? Thumbs up.<br/><br/>It was very late at night, it was fully packed but the service was great still. Overall experience? Let's just say I wouldn't mind coming back again.<br/>

Visited late on a Saturday night, 2018-10-06, after a show at the arena. Place was full but not he tic. Lots of floor staff, not very attentive , showing some poor supervisory management. <br/><br/>Shared a portion of chili fries which were beautifully done. Just the right heat and spice. Kept you going back for more.<br/><br/>Service was quite poor. Not sure who our server was. Not care or attention from waitrons. Eventually cornered a chef who was proactive and determined to get us service. <br/><br/>Want this place to be successful? Get a better manager. Food great, drinks good, ambience working. Manager asleep behind the wheel.

I was expecting to have a wonderful experience. Cutlery was very dirty. I tried to find some clean cutlery on another table ready for customers and had to go through 3 dirty forks before I found one that looked ok. Manager is slack. Unenthusiastic. Could not alter a dish on the menu just to leave something off. The food was terrible. Burger was like a finely ground pork sausage not a good chunky burger. The burgers at spurs are way better. Also the burgers at Rocco Mamas are way better. The dessert was very average. <br/>If you want food to look good and taste lousy then this is the place for you. Jessica Notelo Steve Notelovitz

Had a great meal at Guy Fieri's last night. I was a bit concerned about the mixed reviews but will happily visit again. Vibe is great - read comments that the music is too loud and it is loud but in a just right for the atmosphere way. Read that the service is terrible - not at all! Seated quickly, drinks came quickly, food came quickly. If anything they were a bit slow taking the last 2 empty plates away - but the place was busy and we never waited for anything else. And the food - 4 of us shared the nachos - they were not the best but perfectly accepable and lots of them. 1 of us had the chicken pasta dish and loved it but the main event for the rest of us was the bacon, mac & cheese burger. All 3 agree that this is the best burger we have ever had and rated it a 9/10. I doubt it can be improved on but the other one we will save in hope. There was no room for any dessert. Already looking forward to my next one!

We were the only patrons by the time we got there, hence the service was fast, which is great. The drinks we had were very good but the food was underwhelming, especially for the prices. We had the bacon, mac and cheese burger. The mac and cheese was flavourless and we literally removed it from our burgers as it added no flavour to the burger whatsoever. The waffle fries however, were really good.

Recently went to the popular Guy Fieri’s Kitchen and Bar at Time Square Casino. I've heard a lot about this restaurant and decided I should check it out.<br/><br/>It has a casual American diner feel with a huge bar and and even bigger TV screen - perfect for watching one of the World Cup games. What looked really cool was the giant bull in the corner. There were a few birthday celebrating guests riding the wild bull, holding on.<br/><br/>I must say, the cocktails were delicious. Frozen Margarita and an SA Long Island Iced Tea.<br/><br/>I went to a restaurant a while ago and they had an iPad with all the dishes on, so you could see exactly what the meal looks like. I really wish they had this. Because this would have helped us chose better. We were just two little people and each portion and meal just got bigger and bigger and bigger.<br/><br/>For starters we thought we'd share the chicken nachos and the mushroom starter. To our surprise, the Nachos arrived in a huge tin and when lifted, revealed an avalanche of nachos and cheese. This was enough to feed 6 people. The stuffed mushroom and spinach starter was delicious.<br/><br/>For mains I had the crispy pounced chicken breast, jalepeno and turkey sausage creamy gravy served on brussels sprouts. Really different, but once again - the biggest portion ever. Easy for two people to share. Mom had the bacon mac n cheese Burger. Yes, you read right. The burger had macaroni and cheese served between the buns. This is Guy's award winning Burger. It is served with the tastiest waffle fries.<br/><br/>We really didn't have space for dessert, but thought we'd share the cheesecake challenge. This was literally half a cheesecake topped with lays chips and hot fudge sauce. Once again, this could be shared between three people.<br/><br/>If you are starving, this is your dream come true. Portions so big, you'd be forced to have a take away. Perhaps ask if they do half portions or consider sharing.<br/><br/>Overall there is a nice vibe if you want to go for drinks and have a bite inbetween. It's inside the casino, so that means adults only. Luckily no noisy kids. Also, if you looking for a nice space to watch a big sports match - this is the perfect spot.

I was so excited to go to Guy Fieri's, only to be left extremely disappointed, by the service and the food.<br/><br/>I had read the bad reviews, but am aware that American food is not to everyone's tastes.<br/><br/>It started well, as the stuffed mushrooms we ordered were really tasty, so this led me to believe that i should try a signature dish as a main. Lets start with the lack of clean cutlery for the main course before moving on to the disastrous meal. Our dirty knives and forks were left on the table! Anyway, I ordered the Chicken Trash Can Nachos. I do love nachos!!! What a mistake!!! Rather go to Spur or Mochachos. The chicken was completely bland and tasteless, as was everything else on my plate. There were no black beans and the pico de gallo (salsa) was almost non existent. The tiny drop of cheddar was hard. I ate 2 nacho chips and returned the full plate untouched otherwise. When the waiter asked if I wanted a take away, i said no thank you, the food was not good at all. Not once did the waiter or the manager ask if we were ok, if the food was ok, nothing!!!<br/><br/>This place is badly run, and the food is terrible. To pay R180 for food that was not even edible is not a fun day out for me.<br/><br/>Never going back!!!!!!!<br/><br/>

Where my inner fat kid dreams came alive. As someone who's been obsessed with Guy and his crazy heart-attack inducing food, visiting this restaurant was a dream come true!!!! The vibe is so right. The interior, the staff, the mechanical bull! I love how extra the food is, it just screams MURICA!! The waffle fries were to die for ... Literally might kill you but so worth it. The ribs were juicy and tender! We loved the mac and cheese. I can't wait to come back this time without a broken back!!!
Julian Coetzee
Really excited to try the signature Guy Fieri Mac and cheese Burger, really enjoyed the uniqueness, but not worth $$$. The atmosphere is great and we enjoyed the old school Rock music. <br/><br/>Furthermore, you have to try the chicken wings, 10/10!!
Hesti Botha
I truly wasn't impressed. The service is poor even though it wasn't even busy. The food was okay, way to spicy regardless of what you chose. The presentation of the food was good. Don't think I will return shortly.

We went on a wednesday evening, after reading a lot of bad reviews we werent expecting much, but were very suprised, our waiter was great, service was fast (drinks maybe took a bit longer) and food was good, massive portions though, next time we will rather share, but the burgers are pretty good...actually almost as good as Hogshead or Capital Craft, dont think we will order the nachos again, but they were good. We will definitly go again maybe on a weekend so we can watch rugby on the massive screens!
Michelle
Absolutely shocking service and lack of enthusiasm. 20minutes for a beer at your bar. Attitude for the bar tenders to top it all off. Will never be back.
Faye Potgieter
Having been to this restaurant for the first time last I am surprised to see how low the ratings are here. I thought this was a fabulous place. We went late after a show and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I see comments here about portion small portion sizes - they are huge I only managed half my main course and we shared the cheesecakes and still couldn't finish it. Food was yum, great atmosphere and the staff were friendly and attentive even though it was busy. Would have liked more sauce on my cheesecake but other than that it was top notch. So refreshing to find a restaurant in South Africa with interesting and different food on the menu - especially the desserts so much more than the norm of malva pudding and chocolate mousse. Will definitely be back!
Ryan KIng Uren
Food and service was good. Had the ribs and my friend had the Mac and cheese burger. Atmosphere was ok unfortunately the disco balls kept shining light into our eyes. All in all a good experience.
Phatu Phanzu
I enjoyed the atmosphere, the look inside and the way I saw people happy enjoying their food, drinks and also people who enjoyed the rodeo.<br/>I was there to explore and enjoy my drink, I was too full for those giant burgers but I will definitely go back.<br/>The waiters were very nice to me.
Marius Scriven
Poor service. Waited to be seated, and for food after 1st plate was served waited 10 minutes for next plate to arrive. Had to ask for the manager twice before he arrived with no reasonable explanation for the reason for the poor service. @guyFieri

Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Awesome food. Huge portions.<br/><br/>Thank you for making it a lovely evening for myself and my partner. She really enjoyed the Dark Chocolate Whiskey & caramel cake.<br/><br/>We'll be back!

er... lets forget about flavourtown...<br/>blegh.<br/>We were at the casino for a show and decided to try guy. we watch him sometimes and he seems to have a reputation.<br/>the place is a loud sports bar parading as a cocktail diner. great if you want to watch rugby and drown out the sound of your companions.<br/>I'll break it down one dish at a time.<br/>shrimp tacos.<br/>these are fried shells stuffed with stuff. ours are cold. not just not warm. not room temp. cold. lile prepped this morning and stuck in a cold fridge for a day cold. the racks collect condensation. they are ok besides that... until they go soggy and crap which happens in about 10 minutes. not impressed. sorry.<br/>pork sliders.<br/>so 3 buns arrive, they are clearly yesterday's buns. or they are crap buns. stale and crumbly. inside these are big blobs of cheap mayo based slaw, the kind you get at checkers you know, no name brand yellow mayo and a bit of carrot. alongside this blob of mayo is about as much pulled pork as you're likely to find at a bar mitzvah party. for 130 bucks this was pathetic.<br/>we also had the bourbon wings. thank goodness we did because these were the saving grace of the meal. these are nice, sweet sticky and smoky. not mind blowing but good.<br/><br/>this falls way short of our south african standard guy, go back to flavourtown and try again.<br/><br/>
Sharima Bramannan
Guy Fieri is legendary in my mind but this particular branch falls short. The meals don’t justify the pricing and the service was lacking. I had the chicken fried chicken...the bits of turkey in the cheese sauce wasn’t great. My friends burger was good. I luv’d the skinny fries 🍟
Jani Rust
We went to Guy’s end of 2017 for dinner. They are very expensive for their portion sizes, but we enjoyed most of the food. Cocktails were average.
Chris Tustian
We had have been looking forward to trying out the restaurant. <br/>Sad to say that all the talk about it was not good.<br/>The food took over 25 minutes to come out. The staff had NO instead on help any of the table around us. <br/>You just fell like a number. Saying here you go now pay and leave. <br/><br/>When the food came it was not great for the price you pay.<br/><br/>
Freda Viljoen
Great venue, and beautiful restaurant... We were there on a Tuesday day night...had a reservation and was given a great corner bench. <br/>Had the Pulled Pork sliders as a starter...delicious is all I can say! <br/>Mains were Burgers and fries, portions are huge...so make sure you are hungry...overall I have a great night and the service was good! Food even better! <br/>
Mikki M
This is Definitely one of those over hyped places, the vibe and decor is cool and authentic Texan. It misses the mark when it comes to the food. We ordered quite a few items, the pulled pork sliders were the best. Overall Overpriced no Value for money. Rather get a drink here, with the friends.
Cayla Riley
Only had drinks here but what I could see the food looked nice , loved the bull and the atmosphere. A tad over priced but overall I enjoyed myself .

I had  a nice time in a while last night when i visited GUY FIERI at TIME SQUARE CASINO for our wedding anniversary.Food was splended, great service from Tinashe he has knowledge of wine , food ,restaurant background and GUYS history. It was a great expirence ever in our entire restaurant vist..........thumbs up TINASHE you made our day,SEE YOU SOON,

The money you pay for the food you get is horrendous. My wife had the ULTIMATE ASIAN CHICKEN LETTUCE WRAPS for R145, when we got it she had to make her own rap. The chicken was just left in soya souse that made it so so salty and the plate was full of oil. We could not eat it. We called the so-called manager to show her and have it sent back. When we got the bill the meal was still on it. The manger never came back to apologise or to explain why they expect me to still pay for it. Needless to say the waiters was just as poor, waiting for drinks, waiting to order.<br/>If you want bad food and bad service please try GUY FIERI'S KITCHEN & BAR IN PRETORIA<br/>Thanks for ruining our evening out!
Monica Coetzee
What a great date night😀<br/>R400 for 2 people, with a massive take away bag.<br/>Had the burgers with milkshake. <br/><br/>Service was good, waiter stopped by often enough to be helpful, but not annoying. Manager popped by and arranged take away box when I was stuffed... <br/>Great vibe.
Liezel Cloete
Place was empty - given it was a Tuesday but there was no atmosphere. Waiter service was below average, food is very over priced and although it looks appealing the food is bland and burned. Sat close to the kitchen and was shocked to see our food being prepared without gloves, this while the gentleman working in the kitchen plays around and our waiter standing chewing on her fingers while she is waiting for our food, not good personal hygiene standards! Manager did not look the part - at all!! Doubt that I will even consider going there again.<br/>So much for award winning and international standards...
The Sandton Times
Much like most other patrons, Diners Drive-Ins and Dives is one of our late-night indulgences - the real life execution lacks the vigor of Guy Fiery. Only the US could think of putting Mac & Cheese on a burger and make it award winning. The food overall was staunch, messy and so-so. For what you get, it’s pricy.
Cleesmann77
Food good, service shocking... booked table for 20:00 a week ago, only got table 50 minutes later. Music too load. Manageress does not have control of the restaurant.
Let Them Eat Cake
No no and no... was disappointed on every level...<br/>From venue to atmosphere to service to menu to meal...<br/>The words totally underwhelmed sum it up

Being a fan of Guy Fieri's shows and watching all of them like an addict, I was excited to try a place that carries his name. After spending a few hours there though, I am not so sure he would want his name attached to this. Colour me bitterly disappointed after a fairly average experience. <br/><br/>The Shareables we ordered were ok... although I didn't taste any Dragon Chilli in the Dragon Chilli Cheese Fries. The Trash Can Nachos could have been crispier, but were still the only highlight of our meal. <br/><br/>For mains, we ordered the Bacon Mac and Cheese Burger, and the Spicy Peri-Peri and Bourbon Brown Sugar BBQ wings... nothing to write home about on the burger... and all you could taste in the wings was SALT SALT SALT!!! It was as if the lid fell of the salt shaker as they were using it and didn't think anyone would notice. Needless to say, we didn't finish any of it. <br/><br/>The Dark Chocolate Whiskey Cake was good, though not much whiskey. A note to the wise though, one piece of cake could probably feed 4 people!!!<br/><br/>So disappointed after being so excited about it!!!
Annie Roestorf
Very very upset that nowhere stating that kids are not allowed at the restaurant. Sorry but you will not see me again. You should really make a point od informing people
PrinishaM 💋
I am a huge fan of Guy Fieri and was really excited to try out this place. Watching him cook on tv, my expectation of the food was high. I was left disappointed, the food did not live up to my expectations. It lacked flavor! I tried his signature burger, Bacon Mac n Cheese while my husband tried the Spicy Peri Peri Wings. For dessert we tried the Cheesecake Challenge (one has to really like pretzels, salted potato chips and cheesecake to try this, really not our kinda after meal satisfaction) <br/><br/>It was also disappointing to be informed when I ordered the Strawberry Oreo Freakshake there was no ice-cream (😱, what a shocker for a restaurant of this brand). Eventually they managed to sort out their ice-cream issue and I tried the shake....nothing special about it. It just looked pretty! <br/><br/>The service I have to admit is good. The waiters are friendly and efficient.
Shanie Corrigan
I have only been there for drinks but it was a wonderful experience. At first it wasn't that good because the drinks took very long to arrive but the manager came to us and gave us the second round on the house to make up for the first round of drinks that was late. Overall great experience and we even took a ride on the mechanical bull
Lavayle Franks
So I was really excited to go to this restaurant, I had really high expectations but I  can honestly say I had the worst experience ever.So I get to the restaurant with my GF and I order a South African ice tea which I confirmed from our waitress is a long Island ice tea, the drinks came real quick which was quite alright, so I taste this drink they brought me I have no idea if they have ever had tasted a long island ice tea before but this was just coke with a lot of lime cordial, their was not a drop of alcohol in my drink but thankfully my GF's was ok, so I send it back 3 times and still it was not correct so I ordered myself a savanna dry as this would be a safer bet for me.The waitress then takes our order, I asked for the bacon mac n cheese burger which most definitely is over priced and overrated but I asked for no onions and tomato on my burger and the patty should be well done, I received a burger with onions and tomatoes on it which really completely pissed me off as onions and tomatoes give me an allergic reaction, so I send this back and received another burger without any tomatoes and onions but my patty was way under cooked. My GF ordered the spicy peri peri wings which was real bland and had no seasoning it was so oily and you could taste the oil when you bit into the wings. The manager walked passed our table a couple of time and not once did he come over to ask if everything is ok instead he stood and stared at us as though we were life stock. This was really the worst experience I have ever had at any restaurant and I will most definitely not be returning to that place

I think I over excited myself here. I guess that's what one would do after seeing so much of Guy Fieri's episodes. I was expecting mouth watering meals that would leave me wanting more regardless of how full I am. Instead we got over priced food that was more on the bland side. So much salt was used😂 the burger was overwhelming and extremely expensive...for a burger it really just wasn't worth it. The steak order we had to wait for so long because the order was wrong only to receive a tiny piece of steak at a price of almost R200. <br/>The food portions (besides the steak I had) is huge which is great especially for people who like sharing food. The music was too loud couldn't really talk to my friend. <br/>I'm glad I got to try the food though. Maybe if the prices were a bit more friendlier, food had a little more taste... I can definitely say that the things we see on tv aren't all that.
Mona Makwakwa
I love Guy Fieri, omw 😊 he makes eating junk look and feel so good🤣 this restaurant is junk paradise I tell you. I must say I throughly enjoyed my burger 😋 my friend didn't enjoy her sandwich, the meat was so dry and lacked flavor.<br/><br/>The service at the restaurant is great 👍🏽 The music...omw, loud is an understatement...found it so annoying couldn't have a decent conversation as it was to loud, after eating we had to go elsewhere where it wasn't so noisy. <br/><br/>Great establishment none the less.

A bit of a sad story. But my father passed away on 8th August 2017 so looking for something to do and clear my head decided to go eat at Guy Fieri's American Restaurant in Pretoria, Menlyn. As my Dad used to watch him on TV all the time and was a Chef himself with an interesting taste in food himself.<br/><br/>Any way from the get go it did not go well. After being blown away by such an interesting and good menu I decided to try the signature milkshake "Deluxe Caramel bacon shake" Only to be told that there was no milk. I am sorry but how can a restaurant, especially one of this standard, have no milk??<br/><br/>Any way after being upset by this no milk story decided to delay my drink order and order a cup of coffee just to be asked if I would like hot or cold milk - even though minutes before I was told there is no milk. Not saying anything I ordered the coffee with milk and continued to look through the menu.<br/><br/>Being put off by not getting my shake and my fiance now not wanting to eat at this specific establishment I decided to skip my main course "BUFFALO FIREBALL WHISKEY" chicken wings and move on straight to my desert to at least accompany my coffee.<br/><br/>I ordered the "CHEESECAKE CHALLENGE" to be told minutes later that it was out of stock.<br/><br/>I am sorry but a restaurant of this standard, One of A kind in South Africa, from a food Icon I watch on t.v. It was supposed to be an enjoyable meal and a comfort to me in my time of need, enjoying a passion both my father an I shared. <br/><br/>Not to have their signature dishes which embodies the Guy Fieiri name, and draws customers to the restaurant, is disappointing and inexcusable. A really really bad experience all round....

Being my third time at the restaurant today, celebrating my wedding anniversary, I was totally disappointed. The portions seem to have shrunk considerably since its opening, the Handcrafted Freakshakes (supposedly in Mason Jars) was served in beer glasses with stems, and the signature cheesecake was stale and served without pretzels as "the delivery was late", according to a chef.
Annemie Steyn
Not worth the time of day. The food was very disappointing, totally bland, cold plate for the steak and the fries were cold, tasteless and dry. I was really looking forward to the experience, expecting the kind of food we see on his show, tasty and full of flavours. The waiters are clearly not properly trained as well. They need to visit the Hard Rock Cafe in Menlyn to see what good service is and how to prepare a real good burger!!!
Johan Steyn
Overpriced and food average. Very dissapointing, looked forward to the evening. R175 burger consisted of a bunch of coleslaw, skinny pattie, mac&cheese and some bacon and cold fries. Really poor<br/>Steak was good though.<br/>
Philip Kruger
Being an avid Triple D fan and loving Guy's style of food, it was with great gladness and much expectation that we accepted a friend's invitation to dinner at the Menlyn restaurant. Sad to say, out of the five of us, I was the only one that had an average meal, the rest were well below par. Dry chicken wings and chicken breast, over spiced pasta and very fatty spare ribs. Ice cold fries and the "fresh vegetables" served with the wings consisted of wilted celery and sad carrot sticks (2 of each). The service was really slow and the waitress was so nervous that she was shaking and just managed not to spill our drinks (which we had to send a few search parties after). The food arrived at the table in drips and drabs. No sign of a manager and nobody bothered to check on our table.<br/><br/>All in all, an extremely disappointing experience that I will not repeat, especially not when we are expected to pay those prices for what can, at best, be described as mediocre food.<br/><br/>I can only hope that Guy finds out what is happening to his name and either sorts it out or pulls the agreement with Sun International.
Stefan Gouws
Being a big fan of Guy's food shows this was a bummer. Totally over priced, even though the food was good. R175 for 4 tacos? It was 4bites and it was gone. Poof! I have payed more for food, but it was Michelin quality, and worth the price.American style pub food, not at American Style Portions. Asked the waiter how many wings there is in the Baffalo Fireball Whiskey Wings,he said 10....only when you cut 5wings up to make 10 pieces. First time ever at a restaurant that the waiter didn't asked if we want more drinks or even if we want to try some of the Desserts. Will I go back? Probably yes, once every 3-6 months,to try more stuff, would I take friends and Family? Sadly No. Will this be a local hangout spot for me? Negative. Will I travel America to Guy's Restaurants...... It can't be worse than in SA? Right?

We have all gotten accustomed to Western culture and will jump at every opportunity to try out what they bring to our shores. Unfortunately it's not as good as it looks on tv. I expected mouthgasms, but was greeted by bland, fatty food. The only plus is the portion size. Overpriced and overrated.
Marentia Van Kasterop
We eventually got to try out Guy Fieri's Kitchen. In our opinion it is totally overrated and over-priced. <br/><br/>Portions of food on the "good for sharing" part of the menu is really only good for one person. It tasted good, but definitely not good value. <br/><br/>The performing artist is in competition with the noise of the casino due to the open plan set-up. <br/><br/>We do not see any reason to visit again...
Candice
I was so excited to try out  this restaurant.  But what a HUGE let down.  I liked the look of the place, the vibe etc was good.  But the food was absolutely not worth the price one pays.  I found absolutely no excitement eating the burger - the patty was bland, way too much lettuce, and besides the one slice of cheese that was on there it was boring.  Would rather have had a Steers burger to be honest lol  Service was also really not up to scratch.  Will definitely not be going back there again.
Carli Port
Despite the mixed reviews we gave it a bash. The service is absolutely shocking because of how under-staffed they are. We wanted to try the ribs but were told that they were sold out, which we found ridiculous because it's supposed to be an American-style establishment. We settled for other meals (the mac and cheese burger and the Motley Que sandwich), which were yummy when they eventually arrived but the whole experience was ruined by the lack of service.
Stephen Hockey
The food was good but was disappointed with the portions my fiancé and I had the chili cheese fries which was R145 it was such a small portion definitely not worth it and we had the buffalo wing which were really tasty but a R105 for 10 wings and no side dishes is just pushing it. Atmosphere was disappointing as we thought it would be much more viby and it was a Saturday night and the bull wasn't even on? Service was good though
Marius Schoeman
We went to Guy Fieri's with friends as we all knew about the restaurant and were all very excited. It was quite a let-down.<br/><br/>In general the American portions are bigger than you would expect... we however felt that we got the diet portions as the portions were very small. The food was also heavily overpriced and I do fee that we did not get value for money.<br/><br/>I understand to whole concept of this being in a casino and will be more expensive blah blah blah, but it was really a rip-off.<br/><br/>I have read other reviews and I can say that the service was better than some other people experienced and the food tasted great, it is just that it is really not affordable if you look at what you get.
Kavish Makkan
Restaurant service was terrible. Long waiting time, waiter was so unhelpful. Food wasnt great, had no taste, i felt like i got ripped off at the exorbatant high prices. Cutlery was dirty and still had previous users meal on it. Highly NOT reccommended especially for a dining out. Ordered a milkshake, they were out of stock, changed to a coke, got a 200ml coke. Wanted a second but the bar didnt have any more. <br/>I would NOT advise anyone to go. There are better places. Much better places.
Belinda Strydom Bronkhorst
We never send food back, we aren't fussy. But at R165 for a plate of fat with a little bit of meat (aka royal ribs) and chicken wings dipped in apricot jam, we would have liked something at least edible. With all the hype, we expected a lot more. You're paying for a name here, and sadly you won't leave holding it in high regard. Avoid.
Amone Howard
I had an absolutely amazing meal here!!! I cannot believe the ratings are so low. Had the ultimate Asian chicken lettuce wraps for a starter and American royal ribs for main course!! Delicious hearty big filling meals! Kind helpful staff! Come in the right frame of mind for a happy and fun atmosphere, big hearty meals and pub food. Don't come for a fine dining atmosphere, come for a happy, joyful meal!!!
Frenzel100
<br/>Very expensive for very average food, R165 for 3 short ribs???? !!!!!!!<br/>Waiter tried his best😀<br/>Been there, got the bill, but not again!!!!!<br/><br/>They had live music, Stuart Reece, which was the best part of the evening🎸🎼🎸
Roberta Lee Govender
Was very quiet as we went during lunch hour. Service was not that great, waitress was uninterested and unhelpful. Never checked on us and we had to constantly flag her down for assistance. Food was ok but portions are too large. Overall, it was mediocre.
Eduan Van Der Walt
I have always been a fan of Guy Fieri, his shows on the food network are not only entertaining but also informative to the food lover. My recent visit to his new restaurant in Pta however, left me very disappointed. I can not comment on all the dishes but the two I ordered was average to say the least. Lets start with the pork sliders. Not much to say here, they were tasty but all I kept thinking was - Anybody could've done better with a google recipe and an oven. On to the chicken wings, the brown sugar, barbecue chicken wings. One of my favourite dishes ever (Chicken wings). When they came to the table my face dropped. I expected delicious crispy brown basted chicken wings and what I got looked like boiled and then basted in a chilli vinaigrette, they didn't taste bad but this was not what I ordered. I preceded to ask the waiter about the wings and both she and the manager assured me that the bland looking colourless wings in front of me was the Bourbon Brown Sugar Barbecue wings I ordered. No recommendation here. <br/>Please leave comments if you had a better experience, would love to hear about them.
Anina Pieterse
The food was absolutely fantastic, but the service was worse than poor. I can definitely recommend the buffalo wings. We could never find our waiter, because he was watching soccer on the other side of the restaurant. He never asked us if we wanted another drink, or if we enjoyed our food.
Arno Boshoff
Was very excited to visit this World renowned chefs restaurant. What a disappointment! The worst restaurant in Pretoria. My wife ordered the Juniper Martini and we waited 25 minutes, I then enquired, to get a reply from the manager that the barman was struggling with the drink as he is still training. We then got the drink with no pineapple and sodawater instead of tonic. Don't train your staff on my account!!<br/>My R175 burger with overdone patty, no mac and a tone of lettuce was not even worth R50. Do not for once think that these international celebrity restaurants are batter that our local joints. We love DDD, but will not go back ever again!!
Sundhir Dez Dasrath
Very disappointing, turkey burger was flavorless, fried chicken was burnt and chicken wings were soggy. <br/><br/>Expected alot better from such a restaurant
Derick Van Wyngaardt
Most definitely your run of the mill burger joint, as could be seen by the impressive burgers going out. Ordered Piri-Piri Chicken Wings served with raw vegetables. Didn't think it was possible to push out such a tasteless dish. See attached picture of the dehydrated two carrot sticks. The comfortable chairs come highly recommended. I trust the management and serving staff will soon find their momentum of the floor - service below standard; however the waitron was most friendly.

I think everyone is genuinely curious to try out Guys restaurant because we live watching him on TV and we see him loving good food all the time but what a damn disappointment. <br/><br/>The place is nice and American-diner styled, as expected, complete with a mechanical bull you can swing on. The service was putrid and the screens played 1 commercial over and over. A nightmare. <br/><br/>We ordered the trash can nachos and the bourbon brown sugar wings to start. When it came it was ice cold, we sent it back, the second time it was warmer but they seemed to overcompensate with the cheese sauce on the nachos (cool trick though) and the wings were bland as heck. <br/><br/>For mains we had straight up burger with cheese. It was delicious, perfect fries, good pickle. Although, as you can see from the pictures, the lettuce was completely overdone. <br/><br/>For dessert we had the cheesecake which had pretzels and lays lightly salted sticking out of it for some reason. But the cheesecake was good nonetheless. <br/><br/>Overall a very underwhelming experience. I'm sure loyal fans will be greatly disappointed even though you just have to try it once.
Lerato Makunyane
Amazing!!! True American style, loved the food, the service was off the charts and my the food was too good. I was a bit worried because their prices are not cheap but the portions made up for it. Loved it and would definitely recommend it
Sumendra Narismulu
The vibe and the look of the restaurant was great. Food is fairly average very big portions. The food borders on too salty to bland nowhere in between.. the turkey burger was however very tasty. The breaded peri peri chicken was bland with little to no seasoning and the peri peri sauce was not quite peri.<br/>There seems to some teething issue as firstly the milkshakes were not available and then halfway through the meal it was. Then they ran out of cans of coke. Not sure if I will be back there anytime soon

Want to go LARGE, head to Guy Fieri's Kitchen & Bar.<br/>But bigger doesn't always mean better. There's a hype around Guy Fieri so surely when he opens a restaurant you would expect the food to be lip-smackingly good!<br/> <br/>For starters we had the Nachos that's served in a massive can which is removed at your table. The can holds the massive portion of Nachos together. It was good but nothing to write home about. They have tacos too, but it's just average. <br/> <br/>The highlight of my dinner was their deep fried chicken. Although I've given them an overall rating of 2.5, I would most definitely have this in a heart beat again! <br/> <br/>For mains we tried one of the Burgers, which was good and their Ribs. The Ribs looked much better than it tasted. I would give it a skip. I love the fact that all mains are served with a small portion of Mac & Cheese as a side.<br/> <br/>Desserts were delicious. Try the Bacon & Caramel milkshake, it's a real treat & it's sprinkled with real bacon pieces!
Silumko Ramalata
Came here with an open mind, and was not disappointed. The starter which was smoked pull pork belly and coleslaw on a small bun...it was delicious, Fort the main had a bacon wrapped springbok loin with mash and mixed veg, My wife had a burger called The Ringer. All in all the service with atmosphere was great.

Visited last night, 23 June. Great vibe, service was abit slow due to it being very busy. With regards to the food, the cheese cake was good.
Merushka Peterson
Nothing to write home about!<br/><br/>We are HUGE fans of Guy Fiery and the show and we were super excited to go and experience it ourselves. Unfortunately, our experience turned out to be one HUGE disappointment.<br/>Very spacious, the atmosphere of the place was warm and the decor is American-themed. The Rodeo Bull seems to be a winner, especially for those who had a few drinks. But this is where it ends.<br/><br/>For drinks we had the Caliente Margarita and a Solid Gold Mojito. I did not enjoy the Jalapeño flavoured drink at all, I think the Jalapeño was a bit too overpowering, my lips even burnt and I am used to spicy food (Indian-cuisine) on a daily basis. My boyfriend commented his drink tasted like sugar water and even advised our waiter who recommended the drink to him that it tastes horrible for a Mojito. He then proceeded to order a plain Passion fruit and Lemonade which was served at room temperature. The service was also very slow and not once did our waiter or the manager come to check on us. The waiter was also not very friendly, and rather disinterested.<br/><br/>Looking at the menu, we thought the food was a bit over-priced but little did we know how HUGE the portions were. Most people are delighted when they know they're paying more and getting a bigger portion. If only the price we paid was worth the actual taste and quality of the food! We had the half-rack American Royal Ribs and the Motley Que Signature Sandwich. The ribs were not juicy at all and tasted bland. The mac & cheese tasted sour. The slaw was fresh and tasted good. I enjoyed the pretzel bun, my pulled pork was very tough and dry even though there was a sauce on the sandwich. The fries, however, were on-point. We felt like we totally just wasted hundreds of Rands for food that was not made with love; no flavour, rather bland, nothing special.<br/><br/>Overall, I would say there are much better restaurants which serve much better food in the area and around Pretoria for much better prices. I must make it clear, that we don’t mind paying more if we know we get the value for money. But there is absolutely nothing about the food, drinks or service that would make us want to go back or even recommend the restaurant to anybody.

Worst cocktail I have ever had. Pure acid. Sent it back and 2nd one just as gross. No thank you 4 R70!!!!! A tequila sunrise in a margarita glass......

Father's Day, Sunday 18th June, 12h30pm.<br/>My wife and daughter decided to treat me as I am a huge fan of Guy and the stuff he does and discovers. As resident home chef, I use many ideas from what I have seen in the shows and generally I get a double thumbs up!<br/><br/>Reservation<br/>The girls reserved a table weeks in advance so I expected a good placement, not the seating in the middle at the lip edge, facing the window and the row of diners on the far end. I know it was bad from the "V" on my wifes forehead! Tip: patrons who book in advance expect good seating - perhaps designate a specific area to this end.<br/><br/>Atmosphere<br/>Prime location. Great look and feel. Colourful and vibey so no fault there. Musician good too, BUT at Sunday lunchtime I do not want to yell in order to have a conversation with my family. The music was way too loud and needs to be softened. I can picture that at night it will be very festive and that's great, but there's a time and place and needs to be adapted accordingly.<br/><br/>Drinks<br/>Beer and wine prices surprisingly low, in fact probably better priced than most local restaurants. BUT Jameson at R60 a shot is a bit much.<br/><br/>Food<br/>Overall the food was good. My main frustration was the inability to gauge portion sizes as I found it to be very inconsistent in relation to price.<br/>Daughter: Motley Crue burger. (I taught her well!) Tasted good, but very average looking. I can't justify the price at R135. Would expect something double the size. Burger Bistro Centurion or Beerhouse would be a better value proposition.<br/>Wife: Nachos bin. Excellent idea and presentation. Well priced and easily shared with three. She enjoyed it, however I found it to be overly beanpasted, very skimpy with the pork and hard to see/taste the cheese. Zero tang. Very ordinary and unfortunately I'd stick to my own or Spur's version.<br/>Me: Pulled pork sliders. Tasted great and cute round buns. But I was like a child at Christmas getting the smallest present. Very disappointed, especially on the "shreables" menu, you'd expect to be able to share, but with no side dishes, three little sliders would make for a good starter instead! The price at R165 is robbery. Priced right, it would be more palletable.<br/><br/>Desserts<br/>Wife and daugther had the cheesecake and the chocolate (can't remember the name) options. Both looked and tasted great. Portions were ridiculous and should be halved. The price is fine in relation, but it's too much and a waste in the end.<br/><br/>Service<br/>Our waiter was ok. When serving the desserts however, a waitress placed one of the dishes infront of me. Indicating that it was for my wife, she simply took it, streched directly across me (I literally had to lean back) and placed it before my wife. Not on!<br/>Ordering wine was an issue. Of the two Shiraz options I chose the one that was out of stock. It was a 10 minute wait to find this out. Upon advising me, the waiter did not hand me a winelist to make another selection, simply assuming I would go for the other, irrespective of the price difference. Also a big no-no.<br/>After another 10 minutes, still no wine and when summoning the waiter he told us it was almost ready?? At this point we had already started eating.<br/>We indicated it was for two people to share, so when the wine eventually arrived, one large glass, dripping with water was presented, almost as if to show us the glases do get washed. That just annoyed me. He advised that there were no more glasses and would bring another when he could! 5 minutes later a second, clean, dry glass, much smaller than the other, arrived. Not really sure what to make of it this particular experience.<br/><br/>Only once paying, did a man approach our table to ask if all was going well. I assume he was the manager, but I'd think this be something done during the course of the meal and not as afterthought. Come to think of it, it was the only time I saw him at all since our arrival.<br/><br/>I remain a Guy fan nonetheless and will be sending this review to his social media pages as well and hope he gets to read it.<br/>Overall, I was very disappointed and felt particulrly sorry for my girls as it was a let down to us all.<br/>I believe that a lot more training of staff is required, a professional attitude be instilled and an eye kept on the kitchen that corners are not being cut.<br/>I fear that the restaurant may fizzle out over the next 18 months, much like a number of celeb type restaurants already have. It may carry Guy Fiery's name, but his persona/aura is not present. It is just a very ordinary joint that happens to be located in a prime spot and well furnished due to financial muscle.<br/>I would not be able to recommend to anyone at this stage. I really hope to see vast improvements.<br/><br/>Kind regards.<br/>
Nelus Niemandt
Overpriced. Bad and slow service. Food served cold. Might be interesting but spoiled by presentation. <br/>Some might like the ambience but not in everybody's taste.
Venessa Steyn
Enjoyed the experience and the food was really very good with American portions. Live music adds to a nice atmosphere, although the volume could be turned down a wee bit so one can have a conversation. All round fun
Karabo Mokgoko
I've always anticipated dining American style and Guy Fiery's restaurant is the perfect spot for it. <br/><br/>The service was exceptional- friendly team & they gave great recommendations from the menu. <br/><br/>A look at the menu you can definitely see that this is the type of food on Guy's show- Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. We were warned that the portions were big but they were so big that you'd get a little put off just by looking at them. Really enjoyed their nachos, chilli cheese fries and cheesecake the most. The patty on the mac and cheese burger was A1, can't say the same about the mac n cheese though. <br/><br/>Besides the food there's plenty of entertainment, there was live music and the band was taking song requests which was pretty awesome. There's also a mechanical bull which you can't find anywhere else- prizes are given to people that can stay on there the longest.<br/><br/>If you want to dine American style, this is it!
Nadia Pretorius
We had lunch yesterday with friends.  We were 4 adults and ordered our drink s as soon  as we arrived.  The first two drinks came 20 minutes after we ordered.  The 3rd drink came 35 minutes after we ordered and the 4th came 45 minutes after we ordered. By the time the last drink arrived, the first two was watery because the ice melted.  We ordered our food as soon as the last drink arrived.  We waited a while for the food.  The first dish arrived and only about 20min later did the rest of the dishes arrive. We eventually told the friend to start eating because his food was getting cold.  When the rest of the food arrived, the chips were cold.  They had chili spice on the chips and I think that that should be an options because the chips were very spicy.  We asked for extra tomato sauce, which never came. We ordered a bottle of water and that arrived as the got the bill to pay.  The food is good but the service is absolute appalling! For the amount that you pay for the food, you would expect a bit more.
Jacques Oosthuizen
Was very exited to go to this place as I have been in his restaurant in New York. What a let down. We did not even eat as they could not full fill my drinks order as they were out of stock of all the drinks we asked for. No coke lite. No whiskey. No gin. You will not see me again.
Bryan Kimmel
Great food. Service very average. Not sure how a place like this can run out of Coke or Ice Cream!!! Come on guys. There is just no excuse. No milkshakes and no mixers for the drinks. This was on a Saturday night.
Jaynisha Patel
We were really excited about visiting Guy's that we took a drive up from Joburg. The feel of the place is what you would expect, very American, spacious, warm. The service was friendly but quite slow at times. The menu offers quite a few exciting dishes, but not many vegetarian options. <br/><br/>I must begin by saying that the portions are HUGE and you would be safer to share. We started with the trash can nachos - big, cheesy and a bit of theatrics as the trash can if lifted off the tower of nachos. The cheese sauce is really good and the overall dish is satisfying. We then ordered a veg burger and this is where the night went south for us. The burger served to us was not the lentil patty promised on the menu, but rather a store bought soya patty. We did inform the waiter who asked the chef - the chef denied it. Later the manager came to apologise and told us they had run out of their veg patty's. They did make it up to us with a complimentary cheesecake which was divine - soft, fresh and interesting with the balance of sweetness and saltiness. <br/><br/>Overall, the dining experience was ruined a little by the veg burger but we did enjoy the nachos and cheesecake. I would advise asking them if they do have their veg patties in stock before ordering.

I had high hopes and was really disappointed in the end. The restaurant itself looks very cool and the vibe is great however the layout is not. You can't walk between the tables to get out and have to ask other patrons to move. But ultimately it comes down to the food which is completely and utterly disappointing. I had the signature mac & cheese burger and pretty much received a pile of shredded lettuce, there was nothing special at all. the patty was tiny, and it had two small pieces of bacon on it. The prices of the food are also very high which would be fine if the food was amazing but it just wasn't. there are plenty of places with much better food at much more reasonable prices. I will definitely not recommend going there to anyone.
Marelene Radley
Our service was a bit slow and the food was over priced. I've had a lot more tasty burgers for way cheaper. It's definitely a place to visit just to say you've been at his restaurant, but I'm not sure if I would go back again.
Cherine Swanepoel
Fantastic food, and vibe. Had the Motley Que, which is one of Guy Fiery's signature disges. Hubby had a caramel and bacon milkshake, it was absolutely delicious.
Lakstarlett
We went to try out Guy Fieri's new burger joint in Pretoria, to see what all the hype was about. To be honest, I just don't get it. There are many local burger places who do a far better job- and sitting in a casino doesn't help either. We had the bacon mac n cheese, and the veggie burgers, the fridge chicken and the Alfredo pasta.<br/>PROS: um...you can say you've been there. And the portions are LARGE. The food is seasoned well so you don't need to add anything.<br/>CONS: The food was completely average- he hasn't brought anything new to the table. The portions are far too big. And you're sitting in a casino- there is no charm, and there is poor ambiance- the decor is thin and plasticky.<br/><br/>The service was good and the food wasnt awful. But we found no reason to want to come back...go for the experience, if you need to, but it's really not worth it at the price
Marlene Naiker
Great atmosphere, service needs to improved. Taste of good is amazing especially the spicy dishes. Top dishes: dragon fries and the cheesecake
Alley Mc Innes
I have absolutely no complaints! We loved the food and the vibe and will definitely be returning! Massive portions, great value for money. A lovely treat
Charlene Dos Ramos
This is a different set up to your typical South African restaurant, with a stage for live entertainment. The general look and feel could do with some lightening up the burgers were average, not particularly stand out to other Burget Joints- as for dessert the cheesecake was great and the strawberry dessert is a must try!
Craig
I don't even have to explain anything about the ambience and the food... I mean it's GUY FIERI's restaurant... you don't know CRAZY and ENORMOUS until you eat at guy's... my review is based on the UNBELIEVABLE service I received there... I mean... I am literally at a loss for words... I went there expecting poor service since the restaurant has been given bad reviews based on the poor performance from waiters there but what I saw and experienced was out of this world... (a table of 8 people) we werent kept waiting for drinks or food... our waiter KEFILWE was always present when we needed her... very fast on her feet... communicated with us about everything...she had a genuine smile on her face the whole 3 hours that we were there not once did she seem overwhelmed with serving our big table and her other tables which were next to ours... I even saw the other table telling her superior that she is Brilliant... honestly my family and I were super impressed and all 8 of us disagree with all the bad reviews written about that outlet... Guy fieri's kitchen and bar south Africa ROCKS... and big ups to KEFILWE really really AMAZING. <br/><br/><br/>DEFINITELY COMING BACK THERE SOON.
Roxy Paans
I only want to give a rate to Neo - the most wonderful waitress I have ever had. She really deserves a big praise. Coming from a restaurant background, it is the utmost pleasure to be served by such a darling! Holding the South African standards high as well as Guy Fieri's. The hostess was also lovely. Will definitely be back.
Armand Oosthuizen
Had a good time at Guy Fiery's. Although the food was a little on the expensive side it is understandable for the amount of food you receive and the uniqueness of the dishes. Shared the Nachos between 2 people and couldn't finish, absolutely delicious! The management also came to our table about 3 times to check up, also inviting us to ride the mechnical bull. <br/><br/>
Jamie Thomson
Came all the way from JHB, now I know why they have a 2 point score.<br/><br/>After getting seated by the hostess we waited 30min for a waiter and ended up walking out. The restaurant was not even full.(16:30).<br/><br/>Terrible!
Simoné
What a great experience! Good vibe, amazing food, friendly service. Really enjoyed this new restaurant, it is definitely top quality and would highly recommend it.
Orielia Pria Egambaram
What an absolute let down. 😔<br/>Being fans of the show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, we really had high hopes for our meal. The restaurant is located ideally within Times Square and the ambiance is lovely , especially with the live music . Unfortunately that's where it ends. <br/>The service is poor - our waiter was serving 7 other tables and simply couldn't keep up with the demands. We waited 30 minutes for water and our food took much longer. The presentation is superb, but the food wasn't amazing , lacking flavour and aroma. <br/>The portions are however huge !<br/><br/>For us, the best part of the night was getting to ride the Rodeo Bull.
Candice De Alcantara
I was a bit skeptical at first looking at some of the reviews, but I decided to give it a try & I'm glad I did because I was pleasantly surprised!!! <br/><br/>If you are looking for an all-American experience this is the place to go - I felt like I was transported back to the USA!! Cool concept with a great vibe (good music too!). The service is good & our waitress was the friendly, helpful Fortune.<br/><br/>For starters we shared two plates of wings, the hot wings & the sweet BBQ wings with the sugar sauce. Both were absolutely delicious!!! For mains we all had burgers. Being a Mac & Cheese fan I had the mac & cheese & bacon burger. The bun was fresh & tasty (not a regular bun, more like a sweet dough bun) & the pattie was good & cooked well. The mac & cheese could have been a bit tastier (a bit too bland for my liking) but I still enjoyed the burger. The fries are also really good! <br/><br/>It is quite pricey but the portions are big & the food is good quality. Overall a great evening & I would definitely go back.

Having watched Diner's Drive-ins and Dives I was rather excited to try this American joint out. I heard a review over the radio that said the food was nice but not wow so i didn't go with very high expectations. We started off with a few of their very interesting cocktails which were really fun and different (one even included jalapenos). We decided to give the chili cheese fries and the signature mac n cheese burger a try. We shared the two meals simply because the portion size is quite big. The fries were really tasty and full of real melted cheese, none of that artificial cheese sauce nonsense. My only let down with the fries was the fact that it was incredibly hot. I enjoy spicy food but this was on another level. The mac n cheese burger was an absolute surprise. I didn't expect to like it but it worked worked worked! Definitely the burger of the year for me! The atmosphere is fun too with loud music in the background and a mechanical bull.

The food were really nice. But to top it all was the way the Sous Chef (Ithabeleng) was taking care of us making sure that the food brought to our table was well prepared.<br/><br/>Thank you for the nice meal, will definitely call again...

I had a great time at guy Fiery. The food was to die for, I was a bit sceptical to go because of the review but I must say the gamble was worth it.<br/><br/>I even managed to get 2 of my friends to join while enjoying the flavortown flavour.<br/><br/>The waiter who was helping could use more training.<br/><br/>Awesome place and good staff. The chef does take her time to check up on tables.<br/><br/>Definitely coming again soon.

The restaurant looks amazing, but the food was disappointing. My lunch companion ordered the chicken BLT and had to send it back as the chicken tasted off. The chef disagreed but did give her another meal for free. Her next meal was cold and mostly raw. For the price we expected more from that experience.

Delicious homely food with a true pub feeling. Big meals to fill you up and a lovely atmosphere, waitress was polite and friendly, overall a great experience

Great food, exactly what I expected. Great time. Love the bull. Saturday this is the place to be because of the vibe and food. Entertainment was great

What an amazing restaurant. The food was excellent the service was great. The Head Chef made it a point to come and greet guests and ask if everything was okay. A birthday dinner enjoyed. I will recommend any day. Word of advice bring your appetite. Well done to the team. I Love the look and feel and the vibe. Can't fault anything...Pretoria is Lucky to have this amazing culinary experience on their doorstep

Such superb service. Waiters and hostess were very attentive and kept us informed of when drinks and our food was arriving. From the other reviews I gather that the restaurant had teething problems as the service I received was completely different. If you watch any of his shows expect American style food with massive portions. Everything is heart attack worthy but delicious . We ordered the peri peri wings which was great as it was charred with seasoning but we were given peri peri sauce and a blue cheese sauce to dunk in. A medley of raw veg was also provided to provide some freshness. Then onto the dragon chilli cheese fries. This was AMAZING. It was different cuts of crispy fried potatoes in a cheese sauce, then slow cooked beef chilli with red kidney beans and chilli. A salsa was also in the mix to relieve the creamy heartniness of everything else. I love the premixed gin and vodka mixes and the strawberry Oreo freakshake tasted like blended strawberries with ice cream. I would definitely go back.

After watching Guy's food shows on TV, I had high expectations when visiting this new restaurant.<br/>The service from arrival until leaving were excellent. Waiters being attentive and management enquiring thruout the evening.<br/>We had the Trashcan Natchos to share, then the Sirlion and Ribs. Nothing wrong with the food, just not to my taste. Missing the "wow" factor and found it to be missing.<br/>When going there again will try the burgers as everybody seems to be ordering them. To summarises, great service, nice atmosphere and decor but food lacking the expected "Guy Fiery" magic.

The meals are quite filling and taste great - I've had two meals here and both orders were surprisingly quick - The Mechanical bull ads some excitement to the place as well. Great place to hang out with some mates and the cocktails are also unique.

You're better off going to Steers. Better burgers and chips for (literally) half the price. R170 for a burger?! Not this side of 2017. Half the place was empty when we arrived yet still had to wait 45 for a call so we could be seated.

***This Review is Currently being Modified & Adjusted***<br/><br/>I was quite excited to visit the Guy Fiery restaurant. I mean, we have all heard & seen the amazing things on tv. <br/><br/>What a disappointment. I would not recommend it to anyone. Even if you are very keen to go try it out for the 1st time.<br/><br/>Upon arrival, I was told that there is a 30 min waiting list. (Scanning the restaurant inside, there were a number of empty tables which clearly made me suspicious first of all.) The host said she would call me within the 30 minutes & have a table ready. <br/>Fast forward 45 minutes. I return to the restaurant only to be asked if I can be helped. I tell the same host that she put my name on the waiting list 45 min ago. Her response: "Oh, what's your name? We still can't seat you." To which I reply and ask, what about all the empty tables inside? Off she goes to see what she can do. 5 min later she gets back & said that they made a plan & found us a seat.<br/><br/>I opted for the signature milkshake. "Sorry, we don't have ice-cream"<br/>Creme-Soda. "Sorry we ran out of creme-soda"<br/>Ice Tea. "Sorry no ice tea."<br/>I settled for an Appletizer. <br/>(So the manager comes by at a point & we ask him can he tell us, when they will be getting the ice-cream in, since we want to order the milkshakes. He seems very confused & said they have ice-cream. Later it comes out that the entire restaurant only has one person working there that knows how to make the milkshakes & that this person was not at work today. I'm sorry, but in a restaurant, you surely should have a few staff who know how to make items on the menu.)<br/><br/>Ordered the Mac 'n Cheese Bacon Burger. Which is supposed to be a signature dish.<br/>I wasn't really impressed. Very impractical to eat. It is HUGE. And there as much lettuce on the burger as there was meat. The Mac 'n Cheese was very grainy for some reason. I'm thinking they use a powder cheese in the sauce & that it hasn't been prepared properly.<br/><br/>The music was incredibly loud & it was difficult to have a proper conversation with people at the table. <br/><br/>Oh. Half way through my meal, the host phones me and lets me know she now has a table available for me... #Awkward<br/><br/>All in all. I don't think I'd even go back to try something there again.<br/>Highly disappointed for a restaurant that is supposed to be one of the main attraction restaurants at Time Square casino. (I'm only giving it a one star because of the setting inside, it lives up to it's American diner feel.)

Interesting place good menu , tasty food , but apparently you cant add anything to your meal . All i want is to add bacon to my toasted sandwich <br/>

Went to Guy Fiery's Kitchen & Bar to experience the hoo haaa. Can't complain about the service -<br/>the waiter was friendly and efficient. We ordered the Mac and Cheese burger. It was well presented and tasted delicious. We also enjoyed the live band, even though it was a bit loud. The only thing hindering me from going back is the price... R175 for the burger (even though it was good!) is madness.Anton Dippenaar

So disappointed. Burger patty tasted like from McDonald's- bland and ungrilled. Most of the burger was slaw (actually too much, as it kept falling off the plate). The burger was supposed to have Edam cheese (but it was Gouda). The bun itself should have been a pretzel hoagie, instead it was a plain bun infused with garlic butter (this was nice though). Chips tastes like McCain oven chips and were served with plain old All Gold tomato sauce. Wouldn't even eat this if it weren't overpriced (R150+ per burger). Service was inexperienced and slow.

Excited about visiting the host of Diners Drive-ins and Dives' restaurant, my wife, a few friends and I decided to give it a try. <br/><br/>It's themed well; the mechanical bull adds to the excitement while round tables with booths create that American feel. <br/><br/>The cocktails are a bit on the expensive side, takes forever to arrive and aren't the most flavourful. The service was pathetic (to be generous), the promotions were misleading and the food got horribly mixed up by the waitrons serving them - after we'd realised they'd swapped Nishalan Moodley and my burger, they expected us to swap with each other even though we'd taken a few bites. Resha Mia Singh noted that the veggie burger was dry and bland whilst being quite expensive. <br/><br/>The only saving grace was my "Ringer Burger" - really tasty itself but let down by the small bowl of (what we thought was) special relish which turned out to be plain All Gold tomato sauce, not what you'd expect to get at an establishment like this. <br/><br/>All-in-all given the price, not really worth it.

I was quite reluctant to come here because of all the bad reviews, but my friends really wanted to try it.<br/><br/>It's situated in the perfect spot because I don't think it would've done as well in Joburg. The decor is quite nice and the service from our waitress was really good (refreshing because the lady in front who checked our booking was very rude).<br/><br/>The cocktails were so good, but my friends' cocktails weren't correct the first time so the bartender kindly fixed it. We all then decided to try the delicious burgers everyone else around us were having.<br/><br/>I had the 'straight up with cheese', but it was basically a regular cheese burger. Our chips arrived ICE cold so we had to send it back because it tasted like cardboard. The burgers looked huge, but honestly the burgers consist of 50% lettuce. My patty was way too overcooked and burnt at the bottom.<br/><br/>For the ridiculous price (I think R140) for a burger, I expected something amazing. But I've honestly had better burgers at Steers.<br/><br/>The cocktails and our waitress were the only positives we took from our experience.

This is a fresh new restaurant with a great vibe and good service. The bar is massive and tends to both diners inside as well as visitors outside in the gambling area. The award winning "Mac n' Cheese" Burger did not disappoint, one of the best I have eaten. The chips however need to be improved if to be compared to other top burger / grill houses.  Our waitress was very eager but may need some more experience. All in all a great addition to the restaurant scene in SA.

Great restaurant, awesome vibe and delicious food. The service was good and really fast. The restaurants decor is unique and very enjoyable, and we definitely enjoyed our meal; it was well worth the 2 hour drive. Already planning our next visit!

We went with much excitement tonight to Guy's Restaurant....<br/>And it was nothing shy of Awesome!! <br/>We all enjoyed our Huge delicious meals and scrumptious desserts ! <br/>Service was great... <br/>A lovely evening!!

So, decided to go to one of my fav chefs restaurants. Read the reviews, but still decided to go. Good service, nice vibe. But thats where it stops! Food all over looks soooo great, my mouth was watering, but once our food arrived, what a dissapointment. Cold, tasteless and nothing to rave about! I would rather eat a Wimpy burger! Anyone reading this, if you are like me, you probably still go for the experience, but please be prepared for sub standards food. My wife ordered the Mac and cheese sandwich, which I had in the US! So getting Albany white bread, unmelted cheese, cold mac en cheese???? No ways!!

With all the new developments in and around the Menlyn area, we decided to give this new restaurant a try. Watching Diners, Drive-ins and Dives definitely contributed to our excitement in trying this American styled restaurant. We arrived on a Thursday afternoon for lunch, and we had to wait for 5 minutes because it was just so full! Eventually got seated, but not in the main restaurant area but in the upstairs balcony, which is quite dark and needs more lighting. It doesn't have the same feel as the rest of the restaurant but it's nice to be able to have a complete view of everything happening downstairs. All the lights, American flags, screen, music and the bull riding really gives this restaurant a "ranch" kind of feel. We tried Guy's famous award winning burger which had macaroni and cheese on it - odd combination but good! Portion sizes are HUGE! And all very filling. The Ringer burger is also a delicious one. Service was slacking here. Not many wait staff upstairs and the two that were upstairs were hardly ever around. Once we got our food we never saw our waiter again till we had to flag someone down for the bill. Getting more drinks and the bill took ages. Won't be rushing back, but was a good new restaurant to try.

Worst experience ever!!!<br/>1st they dont have any phone number to make bookings, so after phoning Sun I eventually made reservations for a birthday.<br/><br/>When we arrived they weren't ready, we came back 20min later after they phoned us. Still no tables, had to move it ourselves.<br/><br/>Our waiter 'Avarage' greeted us and took our drink order. After a while he came to take our food order, still no drinks. A hour later our food came and after numerous queries we eventually had to get our own drinks at the bar. We only received half the table's food. <br/><br/>Called the manager and nothing worked. Eventually we stood up and had to fight to get the bill so we can leave. <br/><br/>The food that came were good, pity we had to share.<br/>All they said was, "yes sir, were working on it" but never came right. <br/><br/>Frustrated!!!!

With the prices you are paying you would expect great food and great service. Well the food was nice, but the service was terrible. The waitress doesn't come to check on you, you have to waive her down to order anything, and then wait 45 minutes for your drinks to arrive... I'm horribly disappointed and honestly expected a lot better...
Rabe Pienaar
Atmosphere was nice but food simple un eatable,<br/><br/>Stuffed mushroom was served ice cold, pulled pork sandwich and chips fried till it only represented mounds of rock solid matter, chicken wings no flavour or salt to dough and chicken pasta had so much chilly It simply burned, no taste what so ever.<br/><br/>In the end I was very disappointed and we eventually just decided to rather do desert at another restaurant which in the end was the best decision for the whole evening.
Kris Roux
Was there on the opening weekend on the Sunday afternoon. Wanted to post a review but wasn't available at the time. Ordered drinks. Milkshakes wasn't available due to out of stock on ice-cream. This was their second day open and already out of stock on ice-cream??? Ordered the signature Macaroni and cheese burger and a normal cheese burger. Both had absolutely no taste. The shock came when the bill was delivered. The burgers was R310. Absolutely shocking for a tasteless burger. Do yourself a favour, support rocomamas or other burger joints in South Africa. This place is highly overpriced and the burgers is nothing special.

First visit to this iconic restaurant, first of its kind is S.A. And totally loved it! The service was great, no long waiting times even if there's a waiting list. Prompt timing. Food is fresh and neatly presented, taste even better than it looked. Definitely a must for all

Obviously everyone would want to try this new restaurant on the block. So we gave it a shot!<br/><br/>The service and ambiance is great. Our waitress was very friendly and fast. A little nervous and we could understand why, but she calmed down when she realised we were there to enjoy our stay. The restaurant is so cosy, vibrant and uniquely decorated. There is a bull to ride, which is great fun and quite funny.<br/><br/>I had the wings with 'veg', which in my opinion is nothing to return for as their price is ridiculous for such a small portion and their idea of veg is a few sticks. My fiance order the mac and cheese Burger which was delicious, but the portion of chips was also disappointing. I think we could probably count about 10 chips in the little container.<br/><br/>Been there, done that! Not a place I would go to again just because of pricing.<br/><br/>
Bryan O'Connor
Great experience and food is awesome. Thank you Guy's team! Let's get that service slick now ! <br/>Live music is a bonus and makes the atmosphere <br/>

Great setting & vibe, Good presentation however food & service mediocre - staff is not very knowledgeable on menu and drinks, rather pricey!

Checked out Guys today and being a big fan of all of Guy Fiery's shows I had high expectations for this restaurant. I like the feel of the place, it's very laid back and comfortable. The service is great, our waitress Rejoice was very attentive(: <br/><br/>The food was below average, we ordered the peri-peri wings and the Big Dipper. The peri-peri wings was mostly bland fried chicken which came with a peri-peri dip, I expected it to be coated in hot sauce and for there to be some heat but nope, nothing. The sandwich looked very yummy but was served cold, the flavours were nothing extraordinary and we left feeling rather unsatisfied. The quality of food doesn't match the price tag attached to it. Can't say we'll be back here in a hurry, if at all.

Was really disappointed with our family trip to Guy Fierys. While the venue and the service was great the food was really nothing to write home about. We went with a big group but really none of the meals stood out. Will not be rushing back.
Kemesha
We were really looking forward to our dinner at Guy Fiery's - more so as we have often watched his shows on Diners and Drive-Ins and Guys big bite.<br/><br/>We ordered a number of dishes including the peri peri chicken wings, burger, grilled mac & cheese, Cajun chicken penne, country fried chicken and angus sirloin steak.<br/><br/>The dishes were well presented and arrived at the same time. However, most of the dishes lacked flavor and was somewhat bland. The burger was dry and smothered with shredded lettuce. The mac & cheese did not have enough sauce. The highlight of the evening was the Cajun chicken penne. <br/><br/>I must say that for a newly opened restaurant, service was very good and they have an efficient online booking system. Serving staff were polite and the restaurant manager on duty was really very kind and helpful.<br/><br/>The food was a little disappointing but a overall a pleasant experience at this American styled bistro! <br/><br/><br/>
Nadia Scapin
When all you can say is "the chips are good!" Then you know how bad the food was. Tasteless ribs, mac ñ cheese that still tasted like thickening agent? Come on! With these prices... you'd expect a bit more than mediocre! Not recommended!
Danielle.peens
Was so excited to come to this restaurant as I'm a huge fan of Guy and his cooking! Was really disappointed with the quality of food! After receiving our second batch of nachos (the first batch was cold and stale) we were only able to eat the first 3 layers... as the rest was a soggy mush! At R180 a pop you expect better than this!
Dane458.m
Very nice vibe. Great place to have a few drinks and listen to some live music. <br/>Food was tasty, however given the pricing of the shared plates we were very disappointed and still quite hungry. <br/>Cool concept, not cool pricing.
Eleanor Muller
Was very excited as I am a big fan. Place looks great but the food was bland, very expensive for the amount of food we recieved and we left the restaurant hungry. There was hardly any meat on the sandwhich we ordered and the cheese was hard (it was suppose to have super melty cheese on it). We had to send the meal back at first as it came cold and without its sauce. The second serving still had no sauce. We wont be going back.
Jana
We went to this place with very high expectations and what a disappointment. The service was slow. My husband had the mac & cheese burger, that was nice but definitely not worth the price! I had the nachos and requested extra cheese. What I got was a mountain of dry chips and some slithers of cheese and a little bit of melrose cheese at the bottom. Definitely the worst nachos I ever had!! What a rip-off at R165!! Been there but won't go back. Food is over priced. Not good value for money.

So after much excitement we made a booking (drove all the way from Jozi) at Guy Fieri's Kitchen and Bar on Sunday and unfortunately had the worst experience.<br/>There were bad signs from the get-go as the table we reserved was given away even though we were right on time. The hostess offered no excuse and found us a table right at the kitchen serving station (probably the worst seat in the place).<br/>We decided to grab our things and move to a high bar table. We waited 15mins for a waiter to serve us and decided to order our meal and drinks at the same time.<br/>When our food arrived my fries were ice cold and my wife's nachos the same. I had to send it back. When food arrived back again I got stuck into it as I was starving at this point. The bread was dry and old, fries not good either.
James Marsh
I did not know what to expect, but I have been a big fan of Guy and his shows. The restaurant offers a real American, Southern atmosphere and captures Guy's aesthetic. The space is trendy and different and the menu is really really good! With a variety of tasty, mouthwatering options one can't find anywhere else. The food was sooo tasty and good! The portions exceptionally generous and warrants the price! The chef knows what he is doing! Some of the waiters need better training but I am sure these are just some teething pains as the manager that checked up on us was very good.
Alastair Waldeck
To quickly sum it up for those scanning the reviews, FANTASTIC vibe & GREAT food! Sit down with a cocktail and a large beer, dig into some larger than life food with incredible flavours, watch the live bands playing their hearts out and, when you're a couple of drinks down, why not give the mechanical bull a go? Haha. Definitely give this place a try, its well worth the visit!
Kathya Smith
Cool decor, friendly staff, average food.<br/><br/>The burgers were good but it doesn't justify the R175 tag price. Big size burgers but still... now WOW! Nothing you can not find in your local Roco mamas.<br/><br/>Thank goodness there was a special to get a free draft of Castle lite with every burger otherwise I would have been even more disappointed. <br/><br/>The trash can nachos needed more proper melted cheese and less Melrose spread cheese... that was a rip off at R165 <br/><br/>The dragon chilli and cheese bites were yummy! But very small portion.<br/><br/>In conclusion, I've been there, I've done that, not rushing to go back...

(4th time I'm editing this review!)<br/><br/>Been looking forward to my visit here. The place looked great and they have a nice big screen, stage and a mechanical bull! Everything was set for a great time. <br/><br/>So lets have a look at the 3 most important things<br/><br/>The Food: the food was good, chips could have been crispier and hotter. Burger - Good 2x size of Roccommamas at avg price of R150.<br/><br/>The Service - terrible, don't care attitude -waiter was never around. Overcharged - and or wrong dishes. Will we ever know?<br/><br/>Management- not a single word of apology even when we made then aware of bad service and bill. <br/><br/>Get you staff and management trained! <br/><br/>Check you bill, a lot of bars are "billing" with incorrect items (always the more expensive ones)
