I was there with my wife a few days ago and we were served by a very kind and patient guy called David, who must be complemented for his easy going, service oriented attitude. You go to Wimpy because you expect 'same-ole' and we complain mostly when they don't deliver on what they promise, but on this day, everything was on point. From the coffee to all the meals we ordered. Everything was 'wimpy standard'. A very receptive atmosphere, we didn't have to pay with our emotions as well. Well done to everyone, especially DAVID. Overall it was a good meal at Wimpy. The staff was so friendly and helpful! The atmosphere was a bit down but it was a public holiday so it was understandable. My waffle was cold and old but after I told the staff they apologized and immediately gave me a new freshly prepared waffle.😁 I really appreciated that as it was my birthday waffle. Would still recommend this wimpy!

There stuff here is so friendly and Karabo our waiter for the day was so kind, patient and even recommended what we such try.. nice experience would definitely recommend..the atmosphere is also so calm great for study sessions.

I did visit the Wimpy Menlyn branch in Pta on 16 Oct 23. I was early and had 3 cups of cuppachino and did some work on my laptop while there. The staff and especially Surette was very friendly, helpfull and made me feel at home even when I stayed longer than the average time that guests stay. I ended up haveing a big breakfast as well. Thank you Surette for makeing your customers feel "special" and it is great to be part of the Wimpy Familiy. Looking forward to my next visit to the Wimpy Menlyn. Dawie

My favorite thing about wimpy is their all day breakfast- no time limits when you want to have breakfast in the afternoon, they can still make it happen. I do think their food is a little mediocre. The giant “cherry” tomato’s they serve with their meals? Who even eats those? Best way would be to grill slices of tomatoes to serve with breakfasts. I enjoyed their cappuccino, something not every restaurant does right for me.

Yesterday morning I and a friend went to Wimpy in Menlyn shopping centre and we both ordered a cheese burger with chips. The lettuce was wilted and in small pieces, completely like pieces collected from used plates. I would love to see where you buy such small wilted lettuce. I informed the manager about it and he only said ‘sorry’ and took the lettuce to the kitchen. When the bill came, we had to pay fully for this order. Obviously they will not see me again for business.

So I've been out of the country with the family for 2 weeks. Get back yesterday and it's my daughters today and she loves a wimpy breakfast. Service is prompt and good and food is on on par with the true wimpy tradition. Give it a try.

I almost always forget about this wimpy because it's so far away from all the other food establishments but when I do its a nice bite. Much like any other wimpy. The service is okay and well informed about the menu which is good because I make a lot of substitutes and switch around a lot of things when I'm at wimpy so I need someone who gets that.

Okay, so Wimpy tends to be the "safe" budget choice when going out. But comparing there prices to the quality of their food these days, I'd rather go hungry. I don't have anything against Wimpy in general, I"ve actually been to some nice branches in the past few months, but unfortunately I'm not a fan of this particular branch. The place seems stuffy, the food isn't tasty and it seems as though even McDonalds puts more effort into their meals. The service isn't wonderful either. If I'm willing to spend money on something, I expect it to be on something worth spending.
