After a whole of galavanting around what I'd now like to call the menlyn city ( this no longer constitutes a mall it's crazy huge) anyway our tour landed use here for lunch. I'm very iffy about seafood places that smell fishy because that obviously means the fish isn't fresh which is so disappointing coz I was quite lis for fish. Went for prawn and chicken curry, proper curry with a kick but the accompaniments where rather disappointing an oily popedom with some stale reheated rice. The service was good and the vibes chilled if they could focus on getting fresher fish that would be great.

Decided to have a chilled lunch in Menlyn and Oyster Inc came to mind, the waiter greeted us nicely upon entry and showed us to our table (all good). The food took a while to be prepared but that was to be expected somewhat. The waiter checked up on us regularly, as I enjoyed my fruit cocktail juice whilst waiting waiting for the meal. It's an ok place with a decent menu, good service Divine Rakau

I had a craving for sushi and we stumbled upon this place thinking CTFM was still there. Needless to say we were welcomed by a friendly waiter and got served immediately. I opted for the Bachelor platter whilst my sister had the Mussel pot starter. They were out of fishcakes for the platter bit our waiter added a extra portion of calamari to my meal. The mussels were AMAZING!! Big and properly cleaned! We will definitely be back soon!

Our 1st experience at Oyster Inc in Menlyn was great! The service received was friendly and professional - attentive without being over-bearing. I had a sirloin steak with steamed vegetables - couldn't have been more well-prepared. We will definitely be back :-)

I must admit, not being a fan of CTFM I was quite sceptical to even go to a restaurant trying to "replace" it. I was actually pleasantly surprised. It still looks like CTFM inside - sort of. The service was good (already an improvement) and the menu also focuses on mainly seafood, sushi, etc. I ordered a fish curry, that was served with poppadoms, rice and sambal. And it was really quite tasty - and a very good serving size. Other members of our party had calamari rings (I tried one, succulent and perfectly cooked) and the seafood "one pan" stew. A typical franchise seafood spot - but happy tummies all around. I won't rush back soon, because I am not a fan of "mall restaurants", but for a quick bite after a wine show, why not :)

Sas. All lies on the promotion board. Went for the sushi buffet which excludes roses and sashimi. When we requested the normal sandwhiches it was also not part of the buffet. The service was terrible... our poor waiter was ashamed everytime he came back to tell us that whatever we requested was not part of the buffet. When we finally went to sit at the belt, hoping for better variety, (nope) we saw the chefs dropped the sushi then place it back on the plates. I would recommemd any other restaurant in Menlyn.

Worst service I've seen in my life. The worst part is that the managers also seem like they don't care. My first and last. We eventually went to the restaurant right across them and we finally found joy. Service was excellent and the food was amazing. Not what I can say for Oyster Inc. As we didn't even get to order a drink after waiting for 19 minutes for the waiter as they had their meeting at the computer.Oyster Inc Menlyn

Stay very far away from this place until they get kitchen staff that actually know how to cook. Makes sense now why the place is always empty. Poor, poor, poor considering the pricey menu.

This was my second time at Oyster Inc and the menu has changed and more items of a variety have been added, if you don't fancy anything fishy. The fish was fresh and well prepared. The lime milkshakes were delicious. The waiters provided great service and the manager on duty David was very visible and attentive to patrons.

For a brand new restaurant this experience was shocking. <br/><br/>Our first impression of the place was a display table at the entrance with their menus. The only sit down menu there and it was sticky and dirty. <br/><br/>Nonetheless we love oysters and decided to give it a chance. The service was friendly, but slow. It appeared that there was only 1 waiter helping everyone inside while the rest of the waiters catch up at the door. <br/><br/>The restaurant is virtually identical to the previous CTFM that was there before - no money spent on a revamp. <br/><br/>Even the specials are identical to the previous CTFM. Half price sushi on Tuesday sound familiar? <br/><br/>We ordered oysters, and sashimi to start. The oysters varied greatly in sizing. The sashimi was the thinest, stingiest i have ever had. And it was so poorly prepared that they didnt even cut it properly. <br/><br/>We then waited a long time for our main, to which the manager eventually told us that only 1 plate is ready, the kitchen didnt get the second order and will start on it now. <br/>Needless to say we cancelled this order. <br/><br/>I am horrified that this is the state of a brand new restaurant, perhaps it was merely defranchised - which explains a lot. <br/>What it doesnt explain is why Menlyn management would ever allow that. <br/><br/>
