Review Chocolat Et Cafe - Pretoria

Now this is how you do business. Excellent communication, quality and affordability. Hosted a kitchen tea there and ordered a cake for a birthday. 10/10 recommend.

Really had a great time today. Had a massive cheese platter that was amazing. Had the privilege to take some matric farewell pictures here in a lovely setting. Soooo many good shooting corners for amazing pictures. Food is great, service is great and coffee is amazing. A well worth visit in a relaxing setting and atmosphere. Oh yeah the milkshakes are amazing.

I came here twice during my time. My first time at the cafe, we sat in the barn area of the restaurant for a birthday party. The woman who runs the place decorated the table beautifully for the party and everyone in the group enjoyed the food. I had a mediterranean flatbread which was really tasty and the presentation was really well done. The cakes were really well done. There was a 2 tier lamington cake and a 2 tier eggless passionfruit cake. The passionfruit was so delicious and everyone kept taking second pieces. On my second visit, I built my own omelette which had spinach, mushroon, and green peppers. As an FYI, the omelettes have 3 eggs so I would order them with one less egg next time. I also had the orange juice with a shot of ginger.

A delicious brunch in the most stunning garden setting. Staff were friendly and welcoming and not to forget, the amazing food…definitely will be back!

Beautiful setting for any Celebration 🍾. Every item for a High Tea was beautifully prepared and presented. The table setting was absolutely perfect with the correct colours accessories and flowers. The chickens roaming freely and the cats 🐈 in the garden rounded up a perfect setting 👌 Lastly the service was amazing with the most friendly Staff 👏

Suprize 40th, and Lynn delivered all the way. The tables was beautiful and the flowers stunning. All the eats ordered delvered on taste and presentation. The flat breads was out of this world. The venue is spacious and beautiful for any function.

What a lovely place! This restaurant may be in a slightly undesirable area, but there’s nothing undesirable about it once you enter. From the nursery to the wait staff, a pleasant experience awaits you. It was my second time visiting yesterday and the waiters were all very friendly and helpful. Our food and drink orders came quickly and the food was absolutely delicious. It was also quite filling which I appreciated. Their cake portion sizes are fantastic, albeit the cake being a little overpriced but it’s worth it. There is a little children’s play area as well, making this place child-friendly. The only criticism I would have is that there is no smoking area, so if someone decides to smoke while you’re sitting outside it doesn’t seem like there’s much that can be done.

Always a treat to visit Chocolat Et Cafe. Good play area for kids. Great coffee, the best selection of cakes and a peaceful setting between the trees.
Louis Swanepoel
A very peaceful garden atmosphere and their food is heavenly, even more so their sweet stuff

Not your usual coffee spot. Quite secluded with cozy atmosphere Delicious in-house cakes. I had the homemade rooibos ice tea with the cake. Perfect blend of tastes.

Wow and wow again. This place has a wonderful farm style atmosphere. Very down to Earth. We had my hen party here and the platters were to die for. Everyone was raging about the platters and especially the desserts. Mini Cheese cakes and brownies. Writing this is making my mouth water again. Great and friendly service and most importantly great food! Would recommend to any and everyone.

Feels like you are out in the countryside. The restaurant is lovely, food is really good and the staff are very helpful. The hall is very hot in summer. Needs additional fans or extractors (this took off 1 star). If you want to feel like you have left Pretoria I would recommend spending a few hours here.

I really loved this place! The menu is fantastic, so many delicious options. I read a review about the fudge and WOW! The piece is so big and yet somehow not big enough because it's so delicious! Lots of space inside and outside with the nursery right there!
Steve Brockwell
So grateful to the team to make multiple work function a success and at short notice. Can thoroughly recommend the venue for up to 120 guests.
Alan Vesty
Had a lovely time here. Lovely farm-style venue. Will be back ❤️

Nice Cafe. It's overally nice but unfortunately when we got there, there was a power cut so things were a bit slow and our espresso was burnt both of them (we ordered two). Other than that the atmosphere is nice. The garden is very pretty and the cake was great. Could be a little cheaper as well.

Best hot chocolate in Pretoria! The old timey hot chocolate is a cup of thick melted chocolate that I mostly ate with a spoon. I'm glad I took the dark chocolate version, as otherwise it might've been too sweet. It was really delicious and something I haven't seen in SA before. Definitely something I will try again and recommending this to my friends! The cake was good as well and they had quite a variety of cake options.
Jaco Meintjes
Right now in my opinion the best breakfast (and most consistently great) you can get in Pretoria below R60. Their Ciabata Bread especially is always perfectly toasted and just wonderful.
Silindile Mncwabe
Cloudy Tuesday morning, OMG 😍 I never knew French toast could taste soo good, sweet and savory served with strawberries and chocolate, talk about breakfast heaven. This little gem is absolutely beautiful. I’d definitely go again on a sunny day.
Marco Visser
Good setting for small tables. However, zero customer satisfaction at heart. The owner is quite pleased to lose future business by refusing over 12 guests to take away very small amounts of cake, after paying around R70 each. Not recommended at all.
Sue
Manager was quite happy to lose our table of 15 customers for future business. She refused us takeaways without disclaiming it before orders and insisted it was written on the Facebook page (as if we’re going to check their Facebook page before going there 😂). Lovely venue and cake, but won’t be returning purely due to the manager’s attitude.
Monica De Blanche
Worth the drive - lovely out of town spot for a delicious 😋 brunch! The menu, selection of cakes, chocolates etc are absolutely incredible👍🏻
Theloveofgoodfood
In my opinion, the absolute number one place to go for the freshest, most delicious cakes in Pretoria.<br/><br/>Lovely, uncomplicated setting with the cutest blue chairs and tables that will make you feel like you're having tea time in rural France. Maybe not THAT captivating, but still wonderful.<br/><br/>The drinks menu is extensive and suits every tea-,coffee-,juice- and indulgence-lover.<br/><br/>Show-stopping cakes include: the Carrot Cake, the Lamington Cake and the Choclate Cake.<br/><br/>A must for everytime I'm in Pretoria.
Candice Claassen
Amazing selection of cakes. By far the most delicious cakes we have had in a long time. We had the whiskey cake, carrot cake, waffle, chocolate caramel cake and I had the banting chocolate cake. Lovely new venue as well. Will definately be back!
Tiffany
I love love this cute little place. The cakes and shakes are always able to put me in the best mood. The staff is friendly and the place is clean and welcoming. The cake menu changes everyday and it never disappoints. This is always my first choice for something jolly to eat. Definitely recommend 😊😊
Thomas William Murray
Fantastic little French Cafe. Feels like you're in the early 20's in rural France with great food to match. Will definitely recommend.<br/>Great service too.

A gem of a place for afternoon dessert. Quaintly nestled in a European style setting. Coffee is exquisite. The Belgian waffles extremely yummy too.<br/>
Lefa Nkadimeng
This is such a great place for all dessert connoisseurs and chocaholics. Their baked goodies are so amazing. It's like you are basically eating a slice of heaven. I would definitely recommend anything on the menu and anything in the chocolate case. The problem is that the place is very small and it's not conducive for rainy weather. They do have an upstairs area though but it's rather small and it echoes. I think it can accommodate about 15 people or less at a time. Otherwise the place is hella great.

We intended on visiting a nearby restaurant which was closed 😥 so we stumbled upon Chocolat et Café and I found it absolutely adorable. Between my hunger, the scrumptious look of the cakes and the smell of bacon cooking, I was sold and had to sit down. Breakfast averaged at R90 and a slice of cake at R55. The service was lovely and friendly. I will definitely bring friends to this cozy location.
Jenine Botma
I had such an azing experience at this place. The food was excellent and the setting was so intimate i felt like i was in an old friend's living room. Service is a but slow presumably because of the setup but this can be forgiven considering the great food.
Charne Crause
Lovely intimate little place. Delicious cakes to choose from. Cappuccino and Hot Chocolate is the best! Service is very good would recommend this place. <br/>Will definitely be here again.
Rejandi Houston-McMillan
Chocolate et Café always has something amazing to serve. <br/>The Hot Chocolate is a MUST. The food is served beautifully and just as yummy as it looks. <br/>I love taking my friends there for their birthdays!
Vevanya Naidoo
Lovely little cafe/ restaurant.. delicious food, cakes and all sorts of chocolate goodies. Highly recommend for lunch with friends or afternoon tea.

This place has now become my usual go to! Well atleast whenever I have money. The cakes are popping with melt in your mouth flavour. They have just the right cake to icing ratio and the spounge is deliciously moist. Their brownies are MASSIVE and quality. One of the top brownies I've ever had. Nothing preps you for another cake bite quite like their bean to cup coffees. The staff is very friendly and always helpful especially if you can't decide what you want, they know the product well. The atmosphere is just magic with a undertone of pastel colours and secluded from the buzz of roads and foot traffic. Will definitely recommend this place
Ekta Tanna
Love this little hidden coffee shop in the busy street! You could easily overlook it! The coffee was great! Such a lovely place to spend time at!
Anz
Went there on a Sunday with a few friends as a spur of the moment outing after seeing the great reviews. The service is really really good. The staff are friendly and attentive and know the menu very well. We had a few savoury dishes and it was too salty for all of us. We then ordered a chocolate croissant which was R65...a little excessive for a croissant which was spread with chocolate spread and served with a blob of cream. They serve Bean There Coffee for people who enjoy beans from there. We're not exactly fans of Bean There so we found the coffee average. <br/>It would be nice that the prices of the cakes and treats are clearly marked so you can order according to your budget and not get a shock when the bill is presented.
Angelique
Perfect for light lunches. Creative and tasty meals. Lovely open air seating in a quiet, relaxing environment. Coffee/cappuccino/latte in a cone is a must have. Amazing variety of cakes available. Recommend the Black Forest cake!
Waseem Imam Saheb
Hot chocolate is theeeeee best because it's actually chocolate thats been melted and not the powdery ones served at other places. The belgian waffles are decent too... i shall return to maybe sample the food but the desserts were good....

Being the chocoholic that I am, the name "Chocolate et Café" caught my attention immediately and just knew I had to visit this place. Needless to say, this was my 2nd visit to this quaint little café nestled away between Culture Club and Alfie's in The Village. It's such a relaxed vibe and one can sit either outside or inside. Have to admit this time was just as good and pleasant as the 1st time. We decided to have breakfast and cappuccinos which was absolutely delicious. I ordered the savoury open omelette with aubergine, pesto, sundried tomato and feta cheese...oh yum! The presentation was beautiful and couldn't wait to tuck in. It was absolutely gorgeous, tasty and well worth the price. The staff is friendly and the service good. Couldn't really fault anything. The cakes and handcrafted chocolate truffles are an absolute must and they taste as good as they look, totally delectable ... will definitely go again soon.

If you like chocolate, you should stop by Chocolat et Café. This little café is located in the popular Village at Hazelwood in Pretoria. Blue tables and chairs under umbrellas, a chocolate selection and freshly baked cakes await you here. The coffee is good, and, they have cappuccinos in chocolate coated sugar cones, a must have! If it is chocolate, cake and coffee you are after, you won't be disappointed. The rest of the menu is okay, not a lot of vegetarian options, and maybe a bit expensive for what you get.
Janthinus Schrage
Chocolate et Café can be found in the heart of the new Hazelwood Village. It's a petite, small and quaint little place between Culture Club Bar de Tapas & Alfies. Their turquoise haven offers a huge variety of baked treats, cakes, tartlets and off course chocolate, truffles and lots of it. Their menu is seasonal and offer you basic but gorgeous eats. Their confectionery is huge and you sure get more than you pay for. Visit them and expect to be amazed. Go! Now!Stefan Schrage Stefan Schrage

Love this little Cafe... If you have a sweet tooth this is the place to go.. we ordered the Salted Caramel tart, whiskey chocolate Cake and the Caramel Cheesecake... man oh man!!! What I also like is the French-feel and all sorts of chocolate you can buy... the cups and crockery is mixed up and gives a very old vintage feel that totally works for me.. Friendly staff and fast service. Good work!!! Just one negative which don't really qualify as a negative is the cramped space... but will go there again.
Riani Deacon
We went here for a coffee and a slice of cake! It was pute indulgence. The cappuchino's was really tasteful. I had the vanilla and cinnomon and will order it again. The cake was also tasteful. It's a cute little cafe and will def visit again

Had my 21st birthday tea here and what a wonderful experience that was!<br/>Management was great in arranging the whole morning and making sure everything I wanted was there. <br/>Their cakes are absolutely to die for! They also serve their tea and coffee in unique and interesting ways.<br/>A little gem hidden away waiting for you! You won't regret it!
Nadia Barnard
Just the most delicious fluffy waffles EVER!  I just love this quiet spot nestled between the other restaurants on the face of the street.  Also home to the "coffee in a cone" in Pretoria and the sweet scent of rich chocolate and home-made baked goods.  What a treat for every chocoholic and sweet-tooth.  Find a spot and bring your newspaper as you sip delicious cappuccinos and feel like you are somewhere in a side alley in France.

my daughter and I visited n valentines day. even though they had a set menu they were willing to make us items from their other menu. I had a the creamy avo bruschetta which was out of this word delish and my daughter had a special order (toasted croissant with chocolate sauce) which she loved. we also bought a few of their chocolates which we also very yummy. will be taking hubby soon as he was upset that we didn't include him on our vday date.

First time visit for a 21st Birthday Tea Party and what a lovely experience! Lovely varieties of cake and beautiful set up as well as great service!

You have a few options for desert in this area, but for any chocoholic there are only one - the cafe specializing in chocolate. I cannot think why you will not pop over to this little gem for coffee and at the very least one chocolate. <br/>You have loads to choose from - the mochaccino was great! The cheesecake superb! The individual chocolates an explosion of flavours! Service, all though attentive, can improve and they started locking up at 14:45. Think there was 4 workers there i'll drop 2 and get a fun and bubbly manager and you will get 5s all the way.<br/><br/>Another gem worth a visit.

Gosh we walked up and down looking for this little place. But we finally found it between culture club and alfies! such a beautiful shop, friendly staff. well kept and the smell is amazing. A sweet tooths dream! A little on the pricey side but for a first timer it's quite worth it. Beautiful selection of little chocolates that are great for a christmas gift 🌟🌟

This place is a hidden gem. Small and intimate, perfect for a light meal or coffee and something sweet. I loved every bite of the beautifully presented french toast which was nicely rounded off with strawberries and a chocolate sauce to die for... The cappuccino was perfect! Would love to go back to buy some of the very tempting chocolates that are on display.  <br/><br/>(Just one comment on the outside area: the umbrellas don't provide proper shade to all the tables. Perhaps something to look at in future?)

A small little cafe hidden in Waterkloof. Very busy area that's always buzzing and now I wonder why.<br/><br/>Amazing and delicious is an understatement. Simple waffles with ice cream, lemon curd, honeycomb, chocolate brownies, strawberries. Everything about this place is amazing.<br/><br/>And the chocolates is something you have to try.<br/><br/>The owners are two beautiful ladies who definitely have something to brag about
The Food Musketeer
26.11.2016 What a quaint little spot hidden in between the roads. The waitress who answered the phone was so sweet to assist in directing me that she even walked into the street to flag me down as I was totally out of my comfort zones. It's a small shop that's filled with all sorts of yummy goodness. Their speciality is hand made chocolate. The owners are 2 lovely ladies with a love for chocolate who presented us with 2 platters containing - Waffles and Ice cream accompanied by Belgium Chocolate Brownies, Dark Chocolate Sauce, Chocolate Mousse, Honeycomb, Marmalade and Lemon Curd with Strawberries. Everything tasted so good and it was so lovely sitting outside under the shade.<br/>Would love to come back and see the rest of what they have to offer.<br/><br/>P.s. This review is solely based on the dessert we received on the day for a Dessert Challenge.

This is my first Zomato review and I can't think of a better restaurant to kickstart my foodie journey with.<br/><br/>I am a self-proclaimed chocoholic and Chocolate et Cafe is absolutely heaven. I haven't tasted fluffier waffles in my entire life and I was presented with two different variants of a traditional waffle. <br/><br/>The first was a Belgium chocolate everything which consisted of chocolate mousse, chocolate brownies and a dark chocolate sauce. The second was a fresh and summery lemon curd with marmalade and honeycomb also accompanied with the delicious dark chocolate sauce. Both dishes were accompanied with a lovely dairy-made ice cream that was not too rich on the palate and cut through all the sweet and decadent flavors. I can't fault either of the two dishes as they were both spot on in terms of taste and appearance. <br/><br/>The owners were absolutely lovely and from the moment I sat down I felt as if I was at a restaurant tucked within a French village. If you are a waffle and chocolate lover this is a MUST!! I must just add that their cappuccino is also phenomenal.

Great place in the middle of waterkloof. The setting whisks you away to another time. Chairs and tables in the middle of the pathway makes you feel like you in a small town in Italy. The deserts that were served were amazing. Fluffy waffles with Belgian chocolate sauce was decadent and left your taste buds wanting more. The lemon curd and honeycomb paired waffles were different and so amazing. Once all the elements touched your taste buds it was an explosion of amazing flavours that worked fantastic together.<br/><br/>Definitely a must try if you a waffle fan. Neeta Raga Dullabh

FoodiewhippedSALove the waffles! And the chocolate brownie compliment as well as the chocolate and brownie. The honeycomb and lemon curd was a great complementary to the shared waffles we tasted.<br/><br/>The decor of this beautiful cafe is very artsy and trendy.<br/>Lovely place to meetup with friends and family.<br/><br/>We had coffees along with delicious slices of cake, whiskey chocolate cake, vanilla caramel cake. It was fresh and make me feel nostalgic, remembering good times.

The best Belgium waffles in Pretoria!!! Served with chocolate ganache, marmalade and lemon curd, honeycomb and Belgium chocolate brownies, cream cheese mousse, gelato and strawberries. What a lovely restaurant located at a new hipster spot in Waterkloof.

So! Finally we went to chocolate heaven ❤️ we entered into this small chocolate cafe in waterkloof in the early parts of the morning as we walked through little tables filled with patrons who were reading the early morning papers with their pets on the side. I was amazed to see that every home made chocolate you can think of was beautiful presented in the shelves. The cakes were to die for and choice was a bit difficult when you have so much variety in front of you. Myself and my sister thought of a Belgian waffle and damn was it the best waffle I had this far. Fresh strawberries, soft waffles, creamy vanilla ice cream and a sauce made with fresh chocolate which was rich and creamy like one I've never had before.. we finished everything to the last bit ❤️ will be back for those cakes ☝️️

Went here today to have cake and a milkshake for my mother's birthday. The chai milkshake was divine but the cake was quite dry. I'd definitely go here again for the milkshake but will skip the cake.
Thapelo Malulyck
The cakes are great the staff where awesome the variety they offer is wonderful. Found it quite hard to choose what I wanted there. The only thing I didn't like was there choice of music but that was not a train smash as we has the option of switching it off.
Yash Lucid
My iced coffee was incredible. The medium to dark roast beans (I'm guessing) really made it worthwhile. Full bodied, excellent. Awesome ambiance and friendly staff, really helpful too.<br/><br/>No prices on the menu is a little unsettling, and the food was great, but didn't match up to the cost in my opinion. Would still visit again but only for that iced-coffee!
Carice De Jager
Had a breakfast here, it was average.<br/><br/>The Ice Tea had a very strange taste but their iced coffe is to die for!<br/><br/>I will have to go back to tast their chocolate and cakes.
Jacquelise
Best cheesecake I've had in a while! With a relaxed outside setting, you can sit in the sun for hours on end forgetting that you are in the city. The service is good. Lunch items are limited, yet very tasty.  They have a variety of baked goods to choose from - so good it makes it hard to choose! They will see me when the next craving hits!
Aileen Manten
I was there yesterday morning for coffee and breakfast.. <br/><br/><br/>We had the croissant with strawberries, bacon and cheese.. it was delicious with a variety of flavours that go together perfectly! <br/><br/>It is a small restaurant with friendly staff.. would definitely recommend
Michelle
Superb quality where everything is good and overindulgence is guaranteed. Wide selection of delicious cakes/treats, u just don't know what to choose. Quality with a special touch!
Philippa
I am not over reacting when I say that this was the BEST carrot cake that I have had in a long time. I just want the world to experience the carrot cake perfection that is availible at this lovely little place. They also have espresso in a cone that I still want to go back and try. Remeber Chocolat et Café for your next coffee date.
Cath Tatham
Stopped in for tea this morning. We had to wait a while for a seat, but it certainly was worth the wait! We ordered carrot cake, chia tea, and an old fashioned hot chocolate - all of which were incredible! The staff looked a bit frazzled from running between the sections, but still greeted us with smiles and cracked a few jokes.
Lizanne
Best carrot cake I've ever tasted and a big portion that was worth the price. Also had a bite the cheesecake which was fresh and delicious. I was also very pleased with a great cup of coffee to balance the sweet overdose of the cakes.<br/><br/>Thumbs up for the barista that took the time to impress us with his coffee art. <br/><br/>Friendly and helpful staff. <br/><br/>The place was neat and cosy. Great overall experience<br/><br/>
Shae Leigh
This is a phenomenal, magical local gem. Chosen at random (although any spot filled with chocolate is a beacon for foodies), I was blown away by the treasure that it is. Grand coffee, cosy and eclectic atmosphere, chocolate to (almost but not in a literal way) die for. Wow. Free and fast wifi is always a bonus I can live with too. I will most certainly be back for more.

In the most beautiful setting of "The Village", Chocolat et Café offered us nothing but the most delicious sweet treats and heart-warming cappuccino! <br/><br/>A Quaint café with beautifully presented treats and a large range of belly-warmers when looking for somewhere new to go.
Anna Potgieter
Chocolat et Café is in the beautiful new development 'the village'. It is such a lovely setting with friendly service. <br/><br/>A lot of exciting treats available. The coffee was nicely done with different cute designs for each cup. The food was nice and very well presented. 🍰
Brett Pierce
Just like all the other outlets in this area, you would not easily find this place from the street. Its a nice little place and you can see that everything here is made with love and awesomeness. <br/><br/>You can also order cakes a day in advance.
Millie Du Toit
Best Carrot cake in Pretoria. Been long searching for THE Cake!! Fantastic!!!!<br/>All worth it! Will visit again. Worth every penny.<br/>Soft. Scrumptious. Fresh. Creamy cheesy topping......
Melissa Claassens
Nice little light lunch / coffee restaurant. Very pricey, i find it really expensive to pay R80 for a latte and a small fritatta. They weigh the food and i just think its overpriced. Might not benefit them when the "new and different" feel goes away
Charline Hensley
Even though the name SPELLS OUT chocolat it leaves much to be desired.<br/>Menus with no prices may be appealing in other countries but it does not work in RSA!<br/>The owner did come around our table, and it was appreciated.<br/>Nothing to CHOCOLAT about!
Kerry B
We visited today for the first time to have a look. The buffet food that was laid on the table as you walk in had flies buzzing all around it. Rather off putting. We bought two pieces of cake to take away instead. One piece of vanilla and one chocolate. The tiny chocolate piece was half the size of the vanilla. The icing on the vanilla was like eating through thick margarine. Horrible. Not at all like nice sweet vanilla butter icing should be. For R45 a piece they were really disappointing. Sadly won't recommend.
Leanne McCreadie
This cafe is wonderful, my friends and I had lunch at another restaurant around the corner not knowing that lunch was also served here. We had latte's and a Belgian waffle with chocolate sauce it was one of the best waffles I have ever had crisp, soft and served with ice cream, chocolate sauce, fresh strawberries we will definitely be back
Benno Lubbe
What a pleasant surprize! A must for any foodie! Vibe is pleasant, food and drinks was to die for! Treat yourself, and visit this little gem!
Angelique Marx
The chocolates we bought there were decadent and worth the price(if it is only as a treat every once in a while). Their coffee was satisfactory and I very much enjoyed the delicious carrot cake. I will be visiting this spot next time I make a coffee date.
Emma Verster
Had a wonderful pre birthday breakfast at this lovely little spot! What a lovely atmosphere and such beautiful decor - also be sure to check out the many, many choccies on display, they almost look too good to eat!<br/><br/>We had the 'Mexican' omelettes which were delicious and washed down well with a good ol' cappuccino 😊. Service was attentive and friendly making for an enjoyable visit! Would love to come back and try some of the other items on the menu! <br/><br/>
James Marsh
This is a stunning little place that opened up in Hazelwood! They have delicious coffee and a great breakfast and lunch menu that changes daily! With beautiful plating, and great baked goods! They specialize in Belgium chocolates! Which they sell, and use in all there baked goods! Some of which can only be food in Greyton, in the Cape where the Chocolatier works his magic! Will be returning.
Wilna Bester
Chocolat et Cafe is in a little doll's house like in a fairy tale. Only inside there is no witch, only a friendly owner with a passion for chocolate.<br/>I loved my hot chocolate in an insulated glass. We had cruffins - a croissant served like a cupcake, filled with melted chocolate - dark, milk or white chocolate to your choice. I chose dark chocolate. It was delicious. The slight sweetness of the chocolate offset by the richness of the croissant.<br/>Bright sky blue bistro tables, quality crockery and cutlery. Served with finesse.
Eugenie Herbst
Beautiful little cafe! I was amazed by how good and tasty the food was! I was glad to see how big the variety of tea they serve are! Very few places serve flavoured teas, so this was a real treat!!<br/>A good spot to catch up with friends over a light lunch or a delectable piece of cake (which, by the way, are stunning to look at AND eat)
Sonja Janse Van Rensburg
A homely French style cafe with friendly personal service - imagine sitting under a tree in a small French village at a Café ....... and after your 1st visit the barrister know your coffee order ....<br/>The freshest of freshly baked cakes and light lunches which change weekly. Belgium waffles & chocolate fondues served with fresh fruit. Have you eaten a cruffin - delicious - sweet or savoury. A chocolate milkshake that will blow your mind.<br/>Chocolate et Café serves delicious Bean There coffee. <br/>Their Honest Chocolates are handmade in Cape Town, South Africa using only the finest raw (unroasted), organic Ecuadorian cacao. There are no preservatives, artificial flavouring or emulsifiers so as to keep the chocolate as pure as possible. It is also free of dairy and processed sugar, making it a healthier alternative.

Tim Nokes' nightmare but a chocoholic's heaven!!!! This was an awesome "lunch"!! I started with a hot chocolate with a hint of chilli which came in a small, potent glass. The cappuccino is creamy even though it was made of milk and foam. Even though they have a good selection of savoury dishes (which looked delectable when waiters passed carrying trays of food), we opted each for a slice of cake. I've had a craving for a good piece of chocolate cake for weeks now, and it did not disappoint. And the lemon slice; well, you can't get any lemonier than that! <br/><br/>We sat at the bar inside and it was nice and cool. The service was friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back again!!!
Steven Venter
Tiny venue but BIG on tasty cakes & desserts. Also great choice of homemade chocolates. Do try the carrot or vanilla/strawberry cake.Great food ,coffee and service.<br/>Other tables had breakfast, that looked just as nice.<br/>We will be back.
Marc Greyling
One of the most unique café's i've visited in a long while. Great food & coffee. Not to mention the variety of homemade organic chocolates. Definitely the new trend setter for 2016.
Olivia Sophia Odendaal
I cannot describe this experience ... I just know i want to go back and have lunch there everyday! Taste of the juice and food is out of this world. I enjoyed an amazing light salami open sandwich and my friend Marelie had a vegan salad! Even though they specialize in chocolate and apparently the best coffee in pretoria (you can buy coffee beans and even vegan chocolate - delicious) they are the most friendliest people and cater for every persons need whether vegan, vegetarian or general diet! Thank you Chocolate et Café ❤️ See you soon!
Kaylie Kriel
What a pleasure!!! This hidden gem is tucked away behind Hazelwood Road! They serve the most delicious coffee's and Francious's homemaked the cakes are amazing!!! This is a must try place!! They also have sensational truffles!
Amy Russell
I went here on Friday and I had their White Diamond tea - absolutely delicious and very well made (people burn white tea often so I was pleasantly surprised). I also had some cheesecake which was amazing. I would highly recommend - it is very cute and very pretty.
Matthias Grabe
Just Had a light lunch and some cake. Awesome food, very friendly and good service. Will be frequent customers in the future. Very cute place.
Erhard
A little boutique coffee shop with a café and confectionery. The service is incredible, very personal and kind. The cafés, cakes and fondues are pictures of perfection. I tried some of their chocolate which is absolutely fabulous. It is a very chill little place to sip on (very delicious and satisfying) coffee. They also sell what appears to be special teas, cakes, cookies and various chocolates. Highly recommended.
