Review Royal India - Pretoria

Willow Way CrossFit Lynnwood is a really welcoming place. My first time there was last week. I got there 9 minutes late but they politely asked me to reschedule my session - which I did. The coaches/trainers are really helpful, kind and communicative. Drix even helped me to get another free session at a closer location since my house is a bit far from Lynnwood. Training there was intense but satisfying, I would definitely recommend booking a free session or if you have already done that, to book a drop in session. Also, don't be late.

Great gym experience, friendly and professional trainers, hard workouts and worth it.

"train because you want to" - a very fitting tagline. We can't get enough. Every training session is highly enjoyable and we are already seeing great results after 1 month of training here. The coaches are amazing and overall just a fantastic experience. Highly recommended!

Upon moving to Pretoria I tried out a couple of CrossFit boxes before deciding to join Willow Way. With a few years of experience in other countries, I've visited quite a few boxes. They are by far the most organized, welcoming and friendly one, with the most attentive coaching. Most classes will have two coaches for high quality feedback. Yoga, kids/teen CrossFit, a nutritionist, lots to offer. It's a large gym with a lot of members (largest number of entries to the Open of any box in Africa and in the top ten globally) but you never feel lost in a crowd or faceless. Nimble to continue to provide options for workouts, even during lockdown phases.

Did drop-in for a week here and this is a great box. Very welcoming, solid coaching, nice atmosphere. Multiple coaches present each session, attention to technique, good focus on modifications and progression for beginners and intermediates. Regardless of your level of CrossFit, i would highly recommend this place.

I’ve been a member at Willow Way CrossFit for a couple of months and I absolutely love it. Coaches are always professional and I always feel super welcomed and comfortable. It’s great because other members encourage one another to finish strong every time. Best box in my opinion

I Have been a member for 12 months and previously belonged to a gym for a number of years. Crossfit Willow way is not just a training facility but a way of life and a family. Everybody is treated with the greatest respect and the trainers shows real interest in everybody! The trainers are very proffesional and their knowledge of the highest standard.I will never see the inside of a gym again because of the value that they add where do you have a personal trainer assisting all the time whilst training ? This does not even include all the friends I made.

Willow Way CrossFit Lynwood, what a phenomenal community. Finding your feet in a new area can be challenging but with the welcoming support of the Willow Way Team, its effortless! Willow Way is the place to be. From the exceptional communication skills from both admin and coaches all the way to the professionalism in every training session. Thank you to the Willow Way team! Highly Recommended.

Excellent food and service! The lamb bunny chow and samoosas were tasty. I'm surprised the restaurant isn't busier. It definitely deserves more customers.

Had a lovely evening with good food. Prices very reasonable and compare well with other Indian Restaurants. Surprised that it is not more busy.

The Royal India is such a nice restaurant. The decor is very classy and sets the scene for a really good dining experience. <br/><br/>The dishes we had were good.... Really good! The portion sizes more than adequate and so tasty!!<br/><br/>We had very friendly, personal service as well. <br/><br/>We had a really good overall experience and would recommend this restaurant. <br/><br/>Unfortunately they added a 10% tip to the bill automatically (not really usual as we were only 2 patrons). If they had not done this we would probably have given more.....<br/>

Portion sizes were ridiculous and the food was severely overpriced. At R10 a veggie spring roll, you'd expect more than just a tiny little thing. Food was below average. Would not go again.

If you visit Royal India this will change your life 😐<br/><br/>I had a chance to taste their speciality dish which is made with feta cheese, yes, curry and cheese πŸ§€<br/>I also tried their butter chicken, I swear my tummy was full but my taste buds couldn't stop going at it, wow!<br/><br/>Did not try their deserts so I definitely have to return! <br/><br/>Only critique: the chefs do take a while though however I can't fault them because the food was fantastic!<br/><br/>Dated: 23April2017

The Royal India is the new kid on the block at Willow way centre. This restaurant is stunning from the beautiful gold wall paper to the exquisite floors. You are really transported to a 5 star Indian experience. As we were seated by our server Sandeep we were served papadums with a green sauce. For starters we ordered onion bhaji and paneer. For mains we ordered an array of dishes from lamb Rohan josh, butter chicken, chicken tikka masala and the Royal India speciality. All these dishes were served with basmati rice and we ordered butter and garlic naan on the side. We also ordered a sambal salad for the table. Service matched the impeccable cuisine. I cannot wait to return to this restaurant. A real gem on my doorstep.

It is now 21:10 and according to Zomato The Royal Indian closes at 22:00. We drove all the way from Woodhill to eat here but the door says closed.<br/>Simply pathetic.

Tried Royal India for the first time tonight, I love my Indian cuisine and have tried most restaurants around S.A. To my surprise, Royal India delivered beyond expectation, food was pleasantly delicious, not too hot but just perfectly spiced. The menu was unique, offering some different options for exploring food lovers. Service was also fantastic with friendly welcoming staff and management. Really recommend this restaurant. Thumbs up all the way

A bit expensive if you compare to places like Tranna, but I must say the food makes up for the hike in price. Friendly service and great food, their cheese naan is to die for!! The waiter got our order wrong (received mild when ordered medium etc.) but was a good experience overall. The place is halaal so obviously no alcohol is served, but they do allow you to bring your own alcohol should there be a need.

My love for Indian food was met at the Royal Indian. We tried the Briyani and butter chicken, both of which were delicious. Big portions and full of real flavour. Authentic Indian food with a lovely ambiance and great service. We were seated and served by a very enthusiastic waiter.

Out for an evening of adventurous dining we stumbled into this little gem @ willow way centre on Lynwood. At the door we were invited in like old friends and ushered to our seats. The unimposing doorway belies the ambience of a world far away ablaze with spices and drenched with exotic culture. The food was excellent - spicy yet tasteful, adventurous like a nun wielding a machine gun riding a bull shark, soft on the eyes and exquisite on the palate. Leave the boerwora at home and go here

Lunch at Royal India. Really nice experiance. Friendly, efficient service, nice atmosphere and superb food. We had the Butter Chicken and the Lamb Special (hot), and we liked it a lot. Best of all: you can take your own wine! Definitely worth a visit.

Very excited I jumped out of the car to get a menu. Prices are very expensive. ... I don't think we will be visiting this restaurant unless invited and THEY pay : (. Unaffordable for the "average Jo"<br/>I hope this works in the centre because all Restaurants which have opened in this spot have closed their doors

Had lunch on Saturday after seeing on Zomato The Royal India opened recently in Wilgers. The waiter was friendly and helpful (though he had to come back to verify our order). The food was tasty and well presented. I was however disappointed to see the huge difference in price between the menu on Zomato and the menu presented at the table. We had chicken curries, each about R30 more expensive on restaurant menu. There is a R100 difference in price for the starter meat platter!! This is my reason for low rating. Rather go somewhere else where food is just as good and cost is actually as advertised.

We had Chicken Korma and a Mutton Bunny with naan bread. Food was delicious and the service was good. Eating for the 2nd time there today πŸ˜€

We visited The Royal India the day after its opening. The service was excellent, as was the ambiance and attention to detail. The food was good, but seemed to be "dulled down" for the local population's taste, especially in comparison to the Sandton branch. My issue here is with the price you pay for the food - there are other similarly-priced Indian restaurants in Pretoria that do not suffer from this "dulled down" phenomenon. If you ask for "hot", you expect a hot dish. We raised this with our waiter, and our concerns were immediately addressed - they adjusted the food and the result was very good. Nevertheless, it is unfortunate that it was necessary to request this.
