If you want to get lost in "Wonderland" then this is the place to do it. When you walk through the door, it is truly like stepping into another world.
The service is impeccable and the carrot cake and cappuccino are sublime!
Rainy Saturday morning breakfast here was tranquil, this place is so lovely the flowers the plants you can’t help but feel like you are in another world, it’s so green and beautiful. Oh yes the food I had quiche side of fried which was very delicious they have really amazing fried chips, yummy coffee.
The service was fast and the staff friendly. Beautiful plants everywhere and the food was good. It gets busy fast so we went early. The parking is a bit of a problem but it is worth it
A peaceful setting and creative use of space, it's perfect for a quick "time out" during a busy day. The staff are so friendly and Sam makes a good cup of coffee!
Such a nice experience. It was great to hear birds and enjoy nice coffee. Doesn't feel like were in the city. Service was great and everybody is very friendly. Thank you Alice in Waterkloof
I am really impressed with this establishment, as I walked in to buy a cake, and it was already way past there closing time. I'm giving them a 3.5 specifically because I only went there to buy a cake slice. The cake slice was a chocolate cream cake which was surprisingly light and airy. It was a good cake, after that I wish I hadn't shared it.
(I should of taken a picture)
Filled with lush greenery and beautiful sounds of nature, Alice in Waterkloof proved to be a magical setting for a relaxed afternoon.
The food was presented in such a way that it managed to turn heads as waiters passed by to serve their orders. The chicken korma flat bread had a great texture and it was complimented by a smooth cream cheese and balsamic vinegar. The Cappuccino is served with a heart-shaped ginger friandise instead of the classic butterscotch biscuits which is a lovely alternative to be enjoyed with your warm drink.
Even though the food might have taken a tad too long, it all proved to be part of the magical experience as time ticked by slowly, giving you a chance to interact with family, friends and nature.
It is a charming place to unwind a bit and drink in the beautiful scenery.
Had a lovely girls day today at Alice in Waterkloof, or Giardini? Seems they have changed their name.
Nevertheless it was a very exciting introduction as we walked in to the facility, greeted by beautiful plants and sculptures, beautiful bunting on the ceiling, watefeature in the middle of the room,
We sat at a pretty table and was helped by the waiters, the service was a little slow, but it was nice to talk to the girls without interruptions, there were Canaries singing beautifully and the shade net made the winter sun subtle enough t sit in for a few hours.
The food was beautifully presented and really nice!
Wonderful atmosphere, Wil definitely go again for a mother's day, or just a friendly fun tea ♡
A Waterkloof Wonderland
Down the rabbit hole you go to find Alice, synonymous with the musical fantasy, the restaurant lies in a gorgeous garden mottled by sunshine.
If the charm of relaxing in fauna and flora isn’t enough Alice in Waterkloof besides being an eatery offers a nursery to peruse and a gift shop next door to get lost in.
To satiate a large hunger the Flat Bread Breakfast (R 54) does an exceptional job. A mini “Pizzette” of sorts topped with bacon, mushroom, mozzarella, roasted tomato and an egg (R 54). Similarly the Flat Bread with Roasted Vegetables and Basil Pesto (R 50) is equally as satisfying.
Their all day breakfast includes unusual suspects such as the Rosti Basket Breakfast – scrambled egg, roasted tomato and mushrooms with crispy bacon (R 38).
Mercia offers immense hospitality and is hands on; which is evident in the presentation of each dish and the care taken by staff to provide good service.
Offering both breakfast and lunch it is a treasured space for family and friends to enjoy an affordable leisurely repast. I should very much like to go back to sample their lunch fare

Nice little spot hidden away in the burbs. Coffee is really good and I can recommend breakfast! I love the outdoor seating and summer vibes are great.
It's a beautiful little garden cafe tucked in a safe residential area. Get yourself a tasty scone with jam and butter, white hot chocolate, or a cup of cappuccino. The best scone in town, I say.
I loved the fact that they keep putting roses on the tables🌹... Feeling romantic all day 💗
Absolutely lovely day out with a friend. I had a wonderful time from start to finish.
The salted caramel cheesecake is to die for, and the lady that served us was amazing.
Would 100% come again
Alice is such a refreshing little place for good coffee and cake. Awesome fresh scones or a special toastie. Lovely plants to buy. The coffee corner is a bit hidden - truly a Alice Wonderland.
Beautiful little gem in the heart of Waterkloof - a plant lover's dream!
The food could have been tastier, but overall a very good experience. This would be a stunning venue for a kitchen tea or baby shower
Small little garden center with a very cozy restaurant, definitely something different. Food is excellent very friendly staff. We enjoyed our visit. Calm and relaxing atmosphere. Nice options on menu a must try!
Ideal for coffee, a breakfast or a light lunch in a lovely garden setting. I would have liked to be able to order a glass of wine with my lunch.

Loved filming an intimate wedding at Alice. Such a beautiful and tranquil venue
We had a high tea with friends, our table was beautifully set up. I loved the ambiance, beautiful garden, and the friendliest waitress I've ever come across
Cutest place in Waterkloof. Garden setting with lots of shade. Menu is limited but scrumptious.
We had a very nice time. The waiter that helped us was lovely and the food was tasty. Overall very nice.
