TBH, the udon was a bit too plain for me, but luckily our waiter, Mongie, was offering chopped chilli, and it was making a huge improvement to the taste of the noodles!🍜

The best place for sushi! We've been loyal customers for years and are never disappointed. Opt for the buffet—the variety is fantastic, and the price makes it truly worth it. Despite the slow service, it's still much better than any other Chinese restaurant I've visited.
While excellent, the food here often comes with service issues. However, if you go for the buffet, you can serve yourself from the conveyor belt if the service is slow or absent. Additionally, it's a unique experience to watch the sushi-making process, unlike other restaurants where the conveyor belts often obstruct your view. Overall, if you're seeking quality sushi, this is the place to be.

Wow !!! Honestly I want to give this place 100/ 100. Their service is absolutely fantastic. Literally all the staff were super friendly and helpful. The restaurant was clean and very organized when it came to the sushi makers in the middle. They sushi makers did a fantastic job so professional and ultimately I was impressed with the sushi. It was fresh. Thank you for giving us an awesome experience. Because of such amazing service and food we will definitely be back. There is a good amount of light in the restaurant. Frank was our waiter and he was really attentive and helpful. Thank you Frank for your service.

Yamakado is one of the best sushi restaurants out there. I go on plenty dates with my partner there, they have a wide selection and interesting new takes on sushi. I love to finish off the night with their strawberry and honey rolls. Also their buffet option is wonderful, you know exactly how much you will spend on the date and you can even pick items from the menu along with the sushi table.

We opted for the buffet and had 10 plates of sushi each. A guy across from us had 19! 😳 The sushi was tasty, fresh and plentiful! Drinks are a tad expensive, but this is in a mall so to be expected.
Staff were friendly and helpful in explaining the menu.
The "eating carousel" was regularly wiped clean and the tables were quickly cleared after patrons left. Good to see it as eateries that serve seafood often have problems with flies. We didn't see any.
Glad to have visited and will be back for more!

Probably the best sushi restaurant to do sushi buffet and its definitely value for money. The waiters are fast and very attentive, you can sit and look how they make the sushi while you enjoy the food. Overall it's a good experience, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys sushi.

Wonderful place if you want to stuff yourself with all the sushi and dumplings you want for only R 190.
The dumplings were crispy and juicy and the sushi was fresh and flavourful.
Will definitely be making this part of our monthly date nights.

Been going to yamitsuki for a few years now. Never disappointed in the sushi. You should try it out. But just make sure your bank account doesn’t look as bad as mine when you go, otherwise you’ll have to do the dishes.

One of the best sushi places I have been to. The 'sushi conveyer belt' was a cool experience....quite nifty as it rotates around the chefs as they prepare the sushi.
The waiter were certainly helpful. Explained how the buffet/colour-coded plates works very well.

Value for money. Sushi buffet including starters. Its really fresh and very tasty. Nice for a family outing or date night. Tables are clean and the staff is friendly and service is good. Defenitely will recommend Yamakado and we will always go back for more. Seating area around the sushi bar where you can see how the sushi is made and tables for larger groups.

Alfred was a great server. Constantly checked up on us and I definitely commend him! We ordered the buffet @ R189pp . Quality has decreased over the past few years. Have been going here for close to 10 years. The miso soup is just salty and bland I'd also steer clear of the calamari yakitori. Overall, it was a good experience but really wish that they worked on quality instead of quantity.

Sushi has improved!
Reliable sushi spot inside the mall. Been here a few time with a sushi-loving family members that prefers it over similar restaurants in Pretoria.
Sushi is markedly better than previous visits.
Star lost because no credit card machines were working and only informed of this when it was time to pay.

We drive all the way from the other side of town to Yamakado for their Sushi buffet (eat as much as you want)! Excellent value for money. My daughter doesn't eat sushi but she can still have the buffet and get spring rolls, dumplings and calamari. The staff is always friendly and the sushi is good quality. We will keep going back!
