I loved the setting! It's a really nice place to relax and forget about everything, their milkshakes and burgers are delicious 🌟 & the staff are very friendly. They have a special till the end of the school holiday, milkshake, burger & chips for R60. 👏
This Capital Park restaurant lures you in with a bit of whimsy and retro-kitsch if I can call it that. Don't be fooled by it's old charm because this little place packs a punch. Not only with their decor but their menu offers a lovely selection of eats & treats. Decently priced and service swift I enjoyed my experience. Order their Nachos and please try their caramel tart!!!! I almost died and went to heaven. So If you like things sterile and haute decór pass this one by. But the food is well worth the outing! Had such a lovely burger lunch! I am inlove with the natural decor of the restaurant. I left feeling happy and relaxed. Definately a must if you love good food and chilled vibes.

Coffee @ Capital is a contemporary & arty cafe in Capital Park. Eclectic mix of tables & chairs, lots of plants and a bright and noisy water feature - a pleasant environment for eating, drinking and relaxation. Service by the pretty Karla was friendly and competent.
The All in One Mince breakfast was tasty and a generous portion. Deviation from the menu, for example: instead of toast, slices of soft white bread was used. Fine with me, I love soft bread saturated with gravy :) The mince was salty and rich. Added grated cheese and sotf fried egg made this dish cry out for something fresh and crunchy like tomato/salad and basil. On mine there was a lone sprig of wild rocket.
Nevertheless, it was tasty and filling. Lovely addition to this area in Pretoria.
Coffee @ Capital never seem to disappoint. My husband and myself love to do weekend brêkkies here and I can definitely recommend the Chicken Livers and Emmarentia's Corn Fritters.
For lunch one of their famous burgers is a must.

Rustic and unique, with an outside section surrounded by Nursery Plants. This little gem offers a good menu selection, easy on the wallet with friendly staff! We had the Chicken Strip Basket and Morocan Lamb Bunny Chow. Followed by the Mozart Cake for desert! Make sure to pick up a few plants while you dine ;)
A fantastic laid back spot in a laid back suburb just outside the CBD of Pretoria. The hamburgers are great value for money as well as the filled pancakes. The milkshakes are fantastic. Round off your meal with some warm melktert and cream with a small expresso.
Three of us came here for breakfast early on a public holiday morning. The service was friendly, and a little slow. We each had a breakfast special for R35 and they were superb. However, we ordered a cappuccino, latte and coffee and the coffee quality proved to be a little lacking. This spot is a hidden gem and could be so much better by simply paying a little more attention to service and having proper coffee training. We will be back, hoping that these little things will be improved.
Situated just outside the cbd in Capital Park the cafe which is visible from Paul Kruger street is accessed through the first suburban street crossed going north.
The cafe which is also a nursery shop with a reasonable collection of plants is like a hidden gem and the atmosphere is relaxed with a very pleasant inside/outside area. It almost feels like one is seated on a comfortable large covered patio with planting and water features to fight the summer heat.
I enjoyed breakfast here and I can recommend their special. It is most probably the best value/quality deal in Pretoria at the moment. The coffee, which is quoted to be Tribeca, needs some work but it was drinkable.
I can imagine this to be a great place to grab a drink after work if you are not keen for a loud pub or bar.
I'm definitely returning for a beer when summer strikes.
A fantastic laid back place with great value for money food, can recommend the burgers prepared fresh and with great taste combo's, great wedge chips as well.
I just love it here. My favourite is Emmarentia's corn fritters with a cappuccino. There is always service with a smile! They have live music shows very often which includes great local acts. They are also available for private function bookings. Try the burgers - I have never had anything like it!

Grounded has the tastiest food in the entire Pretoria! You can literally taste the love the food was prepared with in every bite. There is a wide variety of food and drink options on the menu to choose from - catering for most dietary requirements. An absolute hidden gem! We had the following and absolutely LOVED it!!

Great local spot for breakfast, lunch or a quick coffee. Food always looks and tastes amazing! Lots of vegetarian options. The Vietnamese iced coffee is a must try!
Loved the atmosfere, food, service and convenient save parking, had the breafast croissant, and filter coffee which btw comes with a free refil, the eggs on the croissant was fluffly and lite, crispy bacon and garnished with rocket , came with 3 med sized roma tomatoes cooked in balsamic reduction Loved it!!!! Natural light with plants at the windows , outside as well as inside seating available, be sure to by some fudge, rusks, or cookies also note the leather goods ( situated in baskets around a colum) and coffee beans available with the freshly baked treats at the counter. Will definitely visit again.

Love this cute little shop, serving healthy and vegan friendly coffee and food. Lots of seating, free wifi for an hour, plugs for charging laptops available. Had the french toast with bacon and cream cheese👌🏼 absolutely delicious [R55] and a tumeric-latte. Great atmosphere. Also have take away and buffet options.
Love this place since they've opened up. They use fresh ingredients, always innovative with their dishes. The coffee is constantly great.
Homely laid back coffee shop. Uncomplicated corner shop setup where you just park and walk in. Breakfast cooked to perfection. Waitrons focused and on attentive. Business seems to have good socially responsible principles. Will visit again.
Coffee extraordinaire and tiny watercolour affectations stare with a grin and a nod at the best breakfast I have had in the Moot... ever. A roasted vegetable salad bowl with a couple of eggs on top and a shot of mouthwatering basil pesto which I liberated from my wife's breakfast plate. What a great way to start a Saturday.
The tiny little ginger cookie men are my favourite of the bunch.
This laptop-friendly coffeeshop has an associated coworking space operating during the week. They are very reasonably priced, and well-kitted for entrepreneurs and remote workers looking for a spot to plug in.

I absolutely love spending time at Grounded at Echo! The service is great and the coffee is even better. My favorite thing on the menu currently is the Cream Cheese French toast with Bacon. And they don't skimp on bacon!
Their Eggs Benedict is also amazing!

Excellent food and drinks! Love the fact that Grounded is open for super early breakfast and that Grounded also has a remote work space just around the corner. Also cool that Grounded makes contributions to Echo houses from its profits.

Food was good. Service was good. There is a co working space which is actually really nice. Excited to work through the menu. Will definitely be back. Not very big but if you can, sit outside, it's nice. Very well priced.
