Food was amazing and definitely an abundance of it. For a big group of 17 we could enjoy a bite of every flavour they had to offer.

This place is truly a one of a kind experience. It's run by a South African man (Kevin), his Korean wife, and her mother. Kevin serves food to the tables, and his wife and mother in law do the cooking. There are only a few tables and so the service is very attentive and personalised. My sister and I grew up in Asia and have been struggling to find authentic Asian food in Pretoria. This place blew us away with its dedication to making only food that is authentically Korean. Kevin, our host, was very nice to talk to and we had great conversations. But let's get to the food. We got the set menu dinner. You get to choose meat dishes according to the number of people, so for us that was 2. We got two massive hotplates with meat, a few veggies and a marinade that we then put over a small stove and cooked it ourselves.

I never had a Korean cuisine experience before, I must say the host Kevin I believe is your name was fully detailed about the meals we ate and that's one of the reasons why I love this industry, His passion was portrayed on each dish made. My favorite dish was the hotpot, but the short rib and seafood was just as good. I will definitely come back just for the experience and amazing culinary journey.

I have been twice to Seoul Garden, both times the food and service have been decent.<br/><br/>HOWEVER, be very careful when making telephonic bookings or giving them your contact details as I have been the subject of several unsolicited phone calls where I was told my number was given to them by the owner of Seoul Garden Restaurant. Thus, on principle, I will never be going to or recommending this place ever again.

I really like the fact that they have a separate menu for vegetarians and they make vegetarian side dishes for you too. I quite enjoy the food when I go and I find the portion sizes are pretty good. I've had the kimchi stew and the bean paste stew and enjoyed them all.

I had the Jae Yook Dub Bab , which is one of my favourite korean dishes. It is basically rice and spicy bacon and vegetables and it tastes extra good with a generous portion of korean side dishes (banchan) with every bite. <br/><br/>However, Seoul Garden's version was very sweet and I was disappointed that banchan was not included in take away meals. I was given banchan after I told the waiter that it was the best part of the dish for me, but it was packaged in tied up plastic bags, which made it appear a bit unappetising. <br/><br/>Rather go to Shila Korean restaurant next to Pachas.

This place is unbelievable!! We found it very easily and could not believe that we did not know about them. They have been here for more than 10 years. <br/><br/>Very authentic Korean restaurant. Really good friendly informative service. Attentive without intruding <br/><br/>The food was simply awesome!! Very generous portion sizes. So tasty and also looks really nice. This place is the most authentic place in South Africa from all the places I have been.<br/>we had samgyupsal(pork belly) and spicy duck with makgully(rice wine) and it was awesome.<br/>all the dishes are tasty and love the fact that they give vegetable side dishes for free and keep replacing when its empty.<br/>self barbecuing on the table is also fun. I would like to take my family and friends again.<br/>thank you Seoul Garden for the wonderful experience last night. It was like Back in Korea!

Nestled in Lynwood suburbia , the venue is very unique and quiet. Very authentic decor. Food was good aswell as the prep time, but the only drawback is the waiters aren't Korean .

What a fantastic dining experience. It felt as if I traveled back to Seoul. Seoul garden showcases the essence of Korean food. For starters try the kimbab (rice roll) with kimchi jjigea (kimchi soup). Or try the hot stone bipimbap or Korean pancake. We had the makoli (Korean rice beer) with beef rib bbq( where you cook your own meat and make little parcels using Banchan-side dishes,lettuce,fried kimchi,fried garlic and some chilli Gochujang -sauce. The owner is super friendly and we even got some makoli cake on the house. Go there for something different and adventurous! The decor and service is real Korean -Style,so don't expect "western standards ".

This restaurant is the reason for one of my favourite food experiences. We had Korean Barbeque marinated beef ribs, where the custom is to make a parcel filled with beef, kimchi and some of the other side dishes and give it to your dining partner enjoyed with the home made Makoli (Korean rice beer). Although the service can improved the food is amazing and the owner very friendly.
