Review Lotus Thai - Pretoria

This is Thai and Japanese cousins in the club area. Fancy mood and beautifully presented dishes. It doesn't have parking, you should park in the club.

This is the best Thai restaurant I've had in a long while. The food was authentic and beautifully executed (a suggestion for the pineapple and chicken fried rice would look a lot better if it was served in a hollow pineapple bowl). The sushi was also one of the best in Pretoria , we had the salmon platter and we only had praise for it. There are, however, some room for improvement in terms of service. The waitress that served us did a great job, but it would be better if there are more people to help with the service and the light above our table keeps turning brighter and dimmer on its own and it does ruin the atmosphere a bit. With all said and done, I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for good authentic Thai food and great sushi.

The absolute best Sushi in town. Quiet restaurant. Beautiful interior. Devine food. Nice wine. Parking maybe an issue but there are many safe options just around the corner in parking garages. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Best Thai I have ever had. Amazing atmosphere, very clean and the food is delicious.

Lotus has some of the best Thai food in the province. Add a great atmosphere and beautiful decor, and you have a wonderful experience. I hope to come back very soon for their sashimi platter! The one downside was the very slow service. It took longer for a waitress to reach us so we could order than it took for our food to arrive. This evening the tables were about 75% full, so im unsure if this is common.

Perfect service and great yummy food

I had a delicious Pad Thai, green curry and red curry. I'm sure their other dishes are just as promising. Great service, pretty ambience, overall lovely experience. Will definitely be back !!

Fantastic Thai! Most authentic Thai meal I’ve found yet in Pretoria. Noodle dishes in particular were excellent. Service was great. Decor is beautiful. All around good choice.

Beautiful restaurant and delicious thai food. Taking one star away because of the disinterested waiter, who could care less that we were there and we were the only one dining. the man at reception was more welcoming and friendly. The food is amazing!

This place from the outside looks like a small shop but when you get inside, the beauty and the elegance hits you, very well decorated, neat with beautiful lighting, excellent service and great food, I honestly believe this place deserve more than what they get due the outside look

We had a wonderful evening! The waiters are a bit slow to take orders, but were friendly. The food was fantastic!!

This beautiful restaurant serves delicious cuisine. All 4 of us enjoy food very much. Our waitress was kind and attentive. We will definitely visit again. There is a little bit of parking issue, it is better to park in the mall behind and walk up.

Absolutely great food and service!!

The google maps photo of the restaurant's entrance does not do this place justice. Once you've entered it's like you enter a whole nother restaurant! It's big and spacious. It even has an outdoor seating area that's quite lovely. We enjoyed the lovely decor and overall feeling of neatness, cleanliness and peacefulness. The plants everywhere made me happy, eventhough they weren't all real, they were interspersed with the real plants. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was our first time eating Thai and we had a fussy 7 year old with us, but even she enjoyed what we got for her - dumplings and cheese and sweetcorn spring rolls. Our own food was also very tasty! We started with various dumplings and a mix of starters. A great way to try a little of everything. Such a good idea! So tasty! For our mains, I had the Massaman curry with beef and it was alao very tasty. The Green Curry also got many compliments. All in all I will be back for more!

Absolutely coming back here! Staff were very friendly, very beautiful decor and overall space and the food was to die for! I found the prices to be very reasonable and the whole experience was definitely worth it!
