Review Mugg & Bean - Pretoria

I enjoyed going here, mainly as the staff are great. The Steers veggie burger is surprisingly nice, and Steers chips are more substantial than other fast food chains. You can expect a slightly longer wait for your food than at other drive thru's, but I think the food is better quality. Wacky Wednesdays, when you get 2 for 1 on some burgers, are very popular and can get busy.

What a wonderful experience, I ordered flamed chicken, was waiting in my car for the time to past, the lady that help me, come out smiling with order and bring the order in the the rain to my car. Thank you so much, sorry did not get the lady's name.

Best Steers in SA, always friendly sraff and very considerate with my food allergies. No kmow me personally and I do not even have to explain with then, when I walk i thry know ny order. Excellent, copliments to the staff and their manager.🙏🙂

Delicious flame grilled burgers is always a winner. The real "slap-chips" perfectly complement their burgers. They regularly have excellent combo offers - the Mix It Up combo is perfect for a family of 4. One negative thing of the Mix It Up combo is that the portion of chips that come with it is on the small side. But everything else was perfect!

We ordered the special for R 289.90 which consisted of 2 x double patty burgers and 2 x single ones with enough chips for 6 people. Absolutely delicious. Money well spent... 💵👍

First time visiting this Steers. The service was great, fast and fresh. Ample free open parking available. Drive thru option available but we dined in and really enjoyed it. Plenty of seating outside or inside. Bathroom facilities were clean. Highly recommend visiting them next time you are in the mood for a take away.

Nice clean shop. Fast friendly service. Ablution was clean. We stopped for a quick bite and it was perfect.

I went for a quick breakfast. Had the M&B Classic with a cappuccino. Enjoyed everything, my favourite part of the breakfast was the hash brown, and no one can argue... the coffee is great! Tried some of M&B's condiments (chilly-mint and tangy Jalapeno sauce) interesting flavours that went well with everything.Good service and friendly staff.

Slow service, food was cold, waited almost 40 minutes for our order. Even the coffee mugs underneath were dirty. We did not even receive the toast we ordered, some kind of sauce was brought to us in take away paper cups.

Really surprised how any M&B is still open, the food tastes like water...unflavored water. Staff is friendly though and the coffee is good. However the 1star goes towards the fantastically messed up food flavors.

First sign: Very Dirty Floors & Dirty Tables. <br/>Followed by Slow Service, Long Wait to get served initially, Long Wait for Drinks, Long Wait for average food. Poor handling of complaints. All in all a Below par experience.

I am never really a fan of M&B and this one didn't convince me otherwise. Soft eggs turned up rock solid. However replacing the "out of stock" avo with a olive tree was kind.

Spending the day at Atterbury,great shopping mall to get things done,Ive been to this Mugg&Bean,and usually I order something to eat with a bottomless Hot Chocolate,Goodluck receiving the SUPER hot Chocolate under a wait of 30 minutes,third time happening..

The hustling and busty of the staff and busy morning experience is chaos for anyone but this Mugg & Bean had it completely under control. There were no seats left inside and the manager organized for us to get a table inside in less then five minutes which was fantastic as it was a bit chilly out this morning, thank you to her and her absolutely great attitude in assisting us. <br/><br/>Unfortunately I forgot to photograph the food but I do have a photograph of their new delicious mocha chino. We ordered the Mugg & Bean classic which was just what we were looking for. Everything was prepared to request and the honey bacon was definitely one of my favourites on the plate. <br/><br/>I think Mugg & Bean should be applauded for their outstanding service especially due to the busy morning rush of breakfast. Everyone was on their feet getting orders out and satisfying their customers to their full potential.

Mugg & Bean is one of the best places for a business meeting or a light meal on the go.<br/><br/>I had the easy cappuccino with cream, always a winner! Great in this cold weather. Served to perfection!

UGH! Enough said.<br/><br/>1) Hollandaise sauce over my eggs or mayonnaise? I couldn't tell<br/><br/>2) I was not aware that coffee was meant to be watered down milk with froth.<br/><br/>3) Service is not even worth complaining about.<br/><br/>4) I think Mac Donalds would have been a better choice, at least you know what you are getting

Nice coffees, cakes and Muffins. All done in accordance to the standard tested formula. Nice close to my office for a morning cuppa. <br/><br/>The peppermint crisp cake is devine, i think its better than the tart!

I enjoyed my breakfast as much as I enjoyed the service but I was confused at a point, I don't know why I had 3 waitresses.<br/>If it's their way of keeping customers happy, then it worked especially with one of them I had good and long conversation with, very friendly and carrying. I had to tip her well.

Great restaurant to work from with great coffee. Lovely staff. Would like to be able to get the WIFi outside though as it can get a bit noisy inside.

Very nice and friendly staff! We got very good service here and its always lovely to eat here. The food is great and they always make me feel welcome. They always accommodate my baby and treat him with extra cookies and his food is always fast so that he can start eating. Definitely one of my favorites!

This is by far the worst Mugg & Bean that we have been to, it was great when they just opened but took a dive... Service is consistently bad and the food is mediocre  at best. Really disappointing

I am a fan of the Mugg & Bean franchise, but this one does not tickle my fancy.<br/>The location is a bit strange - under the escalator - and the inside and outside areas seem removed from one another - the flow of the place is questionable.  <br/>Regardless of the the lay-out the lady that served me, her name was Precious, she was indeed precious.  She was extremely attentive and friendly.<br/><br/>The food was not the great Mugg & Bean experience I've had before, but the new Blueberry Meringue Swirl Milkshake made up for it.  Presented exactly like the picture, which is quite rare these days.<br/><br/>The Barbecue Burger was a grave disappointment - then again, I should've known better.  The patty was a funny pink colour on the inside and the "side salad" was way too much lettuce, crammed onto a tiny plate. The onion rings were amazing - best part of the meal by far.<br/><br/>Not the best Mugg & Bean experience, but for a cuppa coffee of a (sweet) milkshake I would recommend them.<br/>And ask for Precious to look after you! :)

After being spoiled with a meal voucher, we went to Mugg n Bean on n Friday morning for breakfast/brunch.<br/>The vibe was nice, a lot of people, having drinks and breakfast, but a bit cold-ish. I think it is because the Restaurant is so hidden away.<br/><br/>Our waiter, Richard was amazing, we felt really special, his service was quick and friendly, he even passed and confirmed that our food was almost ready.<br/>We ordered orange juice and a large red cappuccino. For mains we wanted to try something we don't usually order, we went big!<br/>We ordered a Club Snacker and a Backyard BBQ Pretzel. I was really disappointed when they did not have the Pretzel bun in stock, I was looking forward to trying it for the first time, but I still wanted to try the filling so I agreed with ciabatta bread instead.<br/><br/>The portions was generously big, and the flavours so tasty. We really enjoyed our meals. Thank you for a great time

I've always been a huge fan of Mugg & Bean. For me this restaurant is synonymous with consistently good quality food and value for money. <br/><br/>Unfortunately, this branch did not quite live up to my expectations. <br/><br/>There is really no ambience at this restaurant. It was very quite on Friday afternoon. Our waitress was very pleasant however service was a little slow. <br/><br/>We had the easy cappuccino, hot chocolate and mocha chino. The cappuccino was good. However, the hot chocolate and mocha chino were luke warm and a little disappointing. <br/><br/>We had the classic quesadilla and herbed mushroom torta with chunky fries. The food was bland. I have had better at other branches.<br/><br/>This branch needs to raise its game!

Mugg & Bean was our target for today.. <br/><br/>Although in a busy shopping center, the venue is a nice place to meet for coffee and the food is really good too. <br/><br/>Visited for a late lunch. Athough we caught them during a really quiet time of day, the service was slow. We had to flag down a waitress more than once 😞<br/><br/>The rainy weather prompted us to try the two vegetarian soups. What a surprise! It was really tasty and well presented. No need for extra seasoning 😄<br/><br/>Their menu clearly indicates vegan and vegetarian dishes which is helpful. Unfortunately the choice of these dishes is very limited. <br/><br/>The bottomless ginger beer and lemonade are refreshing and worth a try. <br/><br/>I have to add that the staff was very friendly. In our opinion well worth a visit. <br/><br/><br/><br/>

Generally I do love the mugg and bean brand from the generous servings,food styling right up to the decor which seems to be cohesive in most of the outlets. This particular one does not rank as my favorite our waiter was very slow and not particularly attentive we had to flag him down for everything we needed I'm not super in love with the food presentation it felt a bit sloppy but I got to try a lot of the new things available which was awesome the atmosphere is great an old lady was celebrating her birthday a few tables away and that really warmed my heart it's such a warm and cosy place where the young and old alike can come in for a generous serving of cake with some coffee.

Okay, so like, I went here as a symbol for my loyalty to zomato. It was a week day and boy was it quiet. But, that didn't stop me, I ordered all the yummy things on the menu and here's what I got to say. Firstly, the green tea mint iced drink was absolutely phenomenal. The cakes were fresh and absolutely can say with certainty that this was one of the very best chocolate mousse cakes I've had. The chocolate fudge cookie dough hot chocolate was so rich and divine, that I actually after having it, craved that taste the next day. What I really do want to mention is the fantastic service we received from Chantel. It's because of her friendly professional service that I'd choose this place over any other 😘

Was a bit disappointed as quite a few items I asked for, they didn't have stock.. <br/><br/>I had the smoked salmon tossed salad and it was so fresh and really nice. I had a sweet apple and gooseberry ice tea with that and gosh one of the best ice teas I've had. The Matcha green tea was really nice with a mint after taste. <br/><br/>Then came the sweet stuff Haha. I had an amazing chocolate fudge brownie cookie dough hot chocolate which was rich and just amazing with a slice of the cookie dough cake, the cake was a bit dry but done justice. My dad tried a slice of the chocolate mousse cake and gosh was it delish, not too rich. <br/>Nothing can top a scone with some butter and cheese. <br/><br/>Overall was a lovely evening :) <br/>

I usually take my car for a car wash at Atterbury, I was pleasantly surprised that there is now a Mugg and Bean in the centre. Good service and great location. My mum and I had the chicken mayo toasted sandwich, which was delicious. 👍🏼

Been there a few times, always had great food and excellent service. A well recommended restaurant to have lunch, coffee or a business meeting.

I've had a take away here, but I have to say the service was friendly and the baked goods looked divine. Not the greatest Latte, but it wasn't horrible.

Service and food have increased in quality, guess it started out as a young wine that got better with age.. still need to bite a slice of Lemon meringue before this Mugg qualify as a full Bean

Just came to have a milkshake and I was impressed. Probably the best service I've gotten at any Mugg & Bean branch. I had the blueberry meringue swirl milkshake and really enjoyed it, but was under the impression that it would be larger - pictures in the menu are misleading. It definitely wasn't bad though and I'd like to come back to try the lemon meringue swirl sometime soon.

Slow service, multiple waiters, food eventually arrived on dirty plates and food not what I'm used to from M&B at all! At least the milkshake was really good! We won't be in a rush to go back there.

We visited Mugg and Bean in Atterbury Value Mart late on Saturday afternoon. It was very quiet as the shops were already closed in the mall. The waiter that served us was friendly and our drinks came out promptly. There are quite a large variety of food choices on the Mugg and Bean menu. I opted for the Steak and Jalapeño quesidillas. My husband had the Chorizo quesidillas and my mom had a toasted chicken mayo sandwich with sweet potato fries at an additional R19,90 (quite a small portion and ok - tasting). <br/>Food came out within a reasonable amount of time. <br/>My order was super delicious, very flavourful, best I ever had! My mom's sandwich was also really tasty. My husband was less impressed and said his was rather bland, but I attribute this to the choice of dish he made. He decided to order dessert, Peppermint Crisp Tart.<br/>Oh. My. Goodness.<br/>This is served as a slice of cake. It was melt-in-your-mouth yumminess, and such a large portion that he ended up sharing with us.<br/>They are baby-friendly in terms of having a baby high chair. I also spotted a kiddies menu, but my little man was sleeping so did not get to order him anything. <br/>I would certainly recommend this restaurant and will be going back again. Hoping my next experience will be as great as this one!

25 minute wait. <br/>Cold coffee. <br/>Dry scone with one tiny square of butter. <br/>Replaced with biscuit that had too much bicarb. <br/>Charged for both eats. <br/>Only reason it gets one point is that the waiter was friendly and the manageress was nice.
