Review Tashas Brooklyn - Pretoria

Sompong Chanchamrat
Reasonable priced and tasty food. Lamp was a bit tough while open lasagna was very delicious.
Dansile Zitha
Thank you to Lethabo for excellent service. The pasta was fresh and delicious.

Atmosphere is a bit fancy, but all meals are affordable. It's good for daily meeting. I ordered green veges omelet. It was a bit big portion.
Precious Gugu Mokoena
Yoh I was not happy with my butternut soup at all I enjoy the rest of my meals but the starter no....the waiter Rams offered a good service..
Tebello Nancy
Had a beautiful breakfast there for my birthday…loved the ambience and aesthetic. Amazing service. However it was a full house and bit noisy and I can’t fault them for that.
Lourens Claassen
Awesome place and service from Godwin.

Spacious set up with lively music. The waiters are friendly and the food of outstanding quality. The portions are reasonable and affordable. The service, however, was a bit slow, but it was to be expected as it was a national holiday when we visited Tasha's..

This was my first time here today and I was so impressed! Our waiter was so friendly and funny. Food and drinks were incredible. This is a great spot for a date, a casual meal with friends or even a meeting with a client. Classy restaurant, wonderful staff. Food on the menu might seem a little pricey, but it's so worth it. Honestly, a must-try. 😉 Thanks so much Tasha's.

Updated review Visited Tashas on Boxing Day. The restaurant was busy but the service was still very good. The food choices are vast. Good quality.
Dr. Kurhula Nicolleen-Jean
Beautiful setting and great atmosphere. Restaurant does get packed even during the week, you might need to make a reservation before coming here on a weekend. Service was good. Breakfast menu is quite limited though.

The Mediterranean masters in Brooklyn. Absolutely love this place. Great food, very special decor. Leaves a feeling like “Nona’s kitchen” Nice health options, snd their special breakfast menu is excellent value for money. Very generous options.

A home away from home, we had an excellent experience with my family. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends
Monique Grandio Alegria
Amazing place with great experience. Their service is amazing very helpful and friendly. The price for the food is acceptable for the quantity of food that you get. The juice is out of this world. I will definitely recommend to any one.
Yolanda Kotze
Letabo served us. Thank u for great service and awesome food! Always love Tashas!
Henk Fourie
Excellent service, very friendly waiters and a lekker place to get a great breakfast or lunch. Would highly recommend.
Mandy Gordon
Love this place! Service is good, food is delish. Consistently yummy dishes, and the "other" menu changes often enough that you don't get bored. I keep going back 😊

Tashas never disappoints. From delicious and healthy breakfast options to scrumptious lunch ideas you can’t go wrong with a meal at this restaurant. #breakfast #healthy #eating

Tashas is one of life’s most dependable constants. Their food is very good - not cheap - but solid value. They’re always in malls, so the setting sucks, but service always makes up for it. The signature dishes at this Tashas almost got me away from my beloved salads.

Tashas Brooklyn is a great place to eat...breakfast,lunch or dinner. The waiters are very friendly and well trained. The drinks are great...I like the fruit cocktail shake, refreshing! I've had omlettes, muesli,Quesadillas and Boereors roll, burgers, butternut salad(all salads seem good)- which have all been delecious. Bit pricey but the quality and service is worth it.

The starf was soo nice, and wow their amazin spritzer cocktail was so amazing. I loved it and If I could, I would go there every Saturday for the spritzer.
Michele Lima
Sadly this was not my usual experience of Tasha’s - extremely disappointed! The chicken Prego arrived with no sauce, was tough and dry. Not sure I’ll be back
Lucy Wu
Came here with roughly 10 of my friends. The waiter was very friendly and managed to serve us all very quickly. The restaurant has a very calming yet lively vibe. The food didn't disappoint, I do however recommend adding chips to the pretzel bun though😌 definitely will come back! They have tons of vegetarian dishes but I would appreciate it if they can have more vegan dishes
Thendo Mathobo
The place is amazing and a little intimate. The food was delicious but a bit pricey. I really enjoyed the ambiance more than the food. I would go back.

Tonight (Sat. 26/5) we visited Tashas , Design Square....
I had the Lemon Chicken, which is always a delight!!...... BUT tonight it was served cold and I have to send it back.....!

My husband ordered Spaghetti Bolognese and when the dish arrived, it was Fettucini Bolognese.....he sent it back and once the dish was back on t table, it was ALSO SERVED COLD!!!
What happened to food served HOT .... especially in Winter, Tashas??

Customers: please check with your waiter: ORDER YOUR FOOD AND ASK FOR HOT FOOD!!!

We wont be back.... Menlyn Maine,s Tashas is a much better option!

Walking into Tasha’s you are already greeted by the friendly and welcoming staff. The ambiance factors of the restaurant give you the feeling of relaxation and delicious food to be enjoyed. We had breakfast. Everything was to our satisfaction. The food is beautifully presented and tastes absolutely delicious.

The space is odd...but intimate nonetheless.
Upon receiving my dish, it looked so tiny BUT IT WAS FILLING (AND DELICIOUS, might I add).
The prices are a bit steep but definitely worth it.
Oh...did I mention how divine the cocktails were? Yum Yum.

Would return in a heartbeat!

This place is just the best. It's a real treat to see a menue that doesn't copy and paste from all the other menus in town. Their service was friendly and we got what we asked for with a smile. Small details like the waiters all wearing the same shoes impress me
The store is beautiful! The decor is lovely and relaxing
The food was delicious and fresh. It won't be a cheap meal but it will be worth it

Tashas is situated in the heart of Brooklyn. It's a trendy restaurant that lives up to great standards. I have been here plenty of times and was never once disappointed. It's a go to comfort place. Although there is a waiting list outside the restaurant all weekend, it is worth the 5 - 10 min wait. There's is a great variety of food, dessert and drinks. The service is great and the staff are friendly. Definitely a go to place for a laid back meal.
Must try:
- main meals: quesadilla, pasta and chicken prego.
- breakfast: French toast with berry compote and you can add in some Macon/bacon (best breakfast ever created)
- dessert: pumpkin fritters
- Drinks: Turkish delight
Jacques Raj Swart
Good service with a smile, and a very pleasant and relaxing ambience. From the outside it doesn't look like more than a cafe, but once inside you realise the gem this restaurant is. We had the ostrich filler, fillet tender and well presented with sweet potato fries, and the parmesan chicken. Generous portion of chicken may I add. Will definitely make this one of my favourites to visit again.
David Wolpert
Cannot agree with 4.2 rating.
As I conduct business in the area I have been there a few times.
Doubt if I will go back.
Had a very poor chicken prego last visit and gave them benefit of the doubt.
Went there earlier today-I had a chicken caesar salad and my partner had a chicken wrap.In both cases the chicken was tough and so was the wrap.
Not good enough for a Tashas!
Maria Mogane
Had breakfast the other....terrible idea...ordered a dish of livers, no flavour whatsoever...just soaked in store bought bottled bbg sauce...very disappointed
Refentse Moadira
Loved their quinoa salad with tender chicken breast on the side. Service was also excellent. Especially since it was my first time being at Tashas' yesterday. They will definetely see more of me.
Saltnsas
Probably one of the smaller branches of tashas. Food was good but we were a bit cramped with little space between tables. The pimms cocktail was top notch. Service was ok.
Lucian
Busy joint, as usual. They do the best breakfast tart (pastry with 2 eggs, sausage, tomatoes and onion). Carrot cake to die for! And if you’re one of the lucky ones, you will get a custard slice over a weekend.
Finish it all off with either cuppacino or frulatta...yum

Me and my two sisters just had lunch at Tashas Brooklyn. I came all the way from Kwazulu Natal and was very excited to eat here again after I moved to Natal in December. My sister ordered the Brazilian quesadillas, needless to say, it was dull. There was a few pieces of chicken with dry cheese. I ordered the Chicken curry with rice that was full of water. I was very disappointed with Tasha's quality for the expensive price paid per meal.
Zakiya Fareed
The location and ambience is great but for some reason I've often experienced instances where menu items were not in stock. Being vegetarian this makes it frustrating to enjoy a meal. Quality has slipped over the years while prices increase.
Tebo LeftEye TheeBrand
Never a disappointment. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are always amazing and fresh. Very chilled and relaxing ambience. Waiters are always professional and kind. Really impressive restaurant.

I can understand why this place is so popular! I have never had a bad experience here... from breakfast to lunch to dinner, everything has been great!! The service is excellent & the staff are very friendly & helpful.

The menu is very cool because it offers something different & a very nice variety. For breakfast I like the mini breakfast buns, for lunch the sandwiches are very good & for dinner I would recommend a pasta (but I'm sure whatever you have will be delicious).

Have been here many times before for a drink or so... but today I just came for a glass of wine or two and a salad... and a video call with my best friend overseas my waiter Simba*Yeah like Lion King* never bothered me when I was busy... He understood sign language like- Yeah I need more wine- and I want this salad like now... The food was great- fresh and crispy and wine to compliment... and service outstanding...
Mr Bretz
Such a pity to have a bad experience tonight! It's our favorite place is Brooklyn but due to manager Craig's attitude and conduct it left a very bad taste in our mouths even though the the food was tasty as always! If the real managers/share holders want to know the full story I'll be happy to explain my full experience... please contact me... but for now just feeling so sad that one or two people can spoil a favorite local spot!
Anesh Tonisi
The food wasn't as great today, the sauce was a bit too salty. My waiter, by the name, Nesh disappeared and was nowhere to be found when I wanted to pay, he never even checked on me once. Come on Tashas! You were everyones fav not so long ago!
Neo Mufamadi
Me and a group of friends went to Tashas on Mothers day. When we got there there were no tables. But the service was quick we didn't sit out in the cold for long.
It was a homely environment. Friendly and patient stuff.
The only downside is that there was no kiddies menuthey can try to keep the place warm during the cold wet weather outside.
Was happy with the choice of food I made. Their waffle nom nom 👌.
Anél Fourie
As always, the perfect spot for catching up with girlfriends! The Tasha's in Design Sqaure in Brooklyn is my favourite. Service was fantastic! Also love the warm feel of the place. Contrary to what most believe, their prices are quite competitive. All 3 of us had meals under R100! Love that their menu is unique and full of fresh new things! The pampoenkoekies and ice cream is always the highlight!

Inedible Bobotie

Lack of standards / consistency at Tashas Brooklyn with their Bobotie and Cranberry signature dish !!

I have had the Bobotie many times in the past, and was one of my favourites that was so nice , so good, that it was difficult to try something else!!
I had forgotten that the dish had been overspiced, just too hot , a few months ago, when I entertained some German guests on 24th March to a "typical" South African dish.

Disaster! The Bobotie was virtually inedible, devoid of taste it was so hot. Sorry.
I complained and unlike last time were I was offered something else, the manager? On duty arrogantly said thats the way the bobotie was prepared. I beg to differ ! I have supported Tashes since opening in Brooklyn , know many of the staff- I didnt recognise his face.

He and Tashas management should go 2km down the road to a Spar and try their Bobotie that is served there as a ready made take away meal- excellent!!
Yaseera Gani
As always, amazing food and amazing decor. The pampoenkoekies on the house menu are such a treat- warm, fragrant and comforting, perfect for a cold winter evening

Tashas never disappoint. Great consistency and excellent quality .Salmon tartare a favourite but all their salmon dishes superb . Good service excellent cocktails.
Erica Geldenhuys
Lovely vibe, and interior. I personally love tasha's. I advise you share the meal with someone because the food is very heavy. Love the uniqueness of the menu!

Tashas Restaurant is always a favourite when only a hearty Pasta will do. Being a regular of the Creamy Pesto which is faultless in every bite, I chose the Parmesan and Couscous crusted Chicken. Despite the goats cheese and salad, the meal was somewhat bland and disappointing. I quickly ordered the Creamy Pesto like any loyal regular and was in Heaven once more as my palate regained it's vibe. Friends ordered the hearty Shepherds Pie that did not disappoint.

Overall, a delightful experience with excellent service, vibey ambience and of course my deleesh Creamy Pesto!

tashas' is a hip and trendy little spot in the heart of the old East with good food and big attitude to back it up. Off the bat you'll be greeted by spunky servers who seem genuinely happy to see you. The menu is large and varied with a few really cool authentically African dishes. The vibe is really cool and the Lindt Mocha Latte is a must!

Had lunch here today. fantastic restaurant, although I must admit, their store specific Dutch Huguenot didn't offer anything worth shouting about. I had the Savvas chicken pasta and the most amazing chocolate cake with ice cream for dessert. The portions are very generous and the service was top notch. I was so busy munching away that I forgot to take pictures. Bravo Tashas, keep innovating.

Had dinner at Tasha's tonight (Wednesday) food was great as usual. However, at 20h30 the waiter advises that the kitchen is closing and we must order desserts now. As it happens we were in the middle of mains so declined. At 21h00 I ask for a cappuccino and was told the machines were off. At 21h15 the waiters started putting chairs on tables around the last two tables. In my view it is quite simple if you don't want evening trade don't open up. If you do, you have got to operate beyond 21h15. Very disappointed not true to the Tasha's quality brand ...

So the great thing about Tashas is you know what you getting - consistency and quality of their food is amazing. Went for lunch with friends and my godchild who is studying at Tukkies - did a bit of shopping and then headed outside - great spot with chairs both inside and out. I had the Mexican bowl, a firm favorite of mine and always fab .. also Caesar salad with anchovies and hamburgers all rated delicious and the portions are generous. Friendly service that is both friendly and efficient even though it was chic-a-bloc. Had the berry lunch carafe to share which is super refreshing with loads of mint and berries. They did used to have a quesadilla with mince which was brilliant but no longer appears in any of the Tasha menus - very sad 🙁 ! Definitely a brand that has got it spot on !

Must be my favorite Tashas! It can get crazy busy over weekends, but the food is always a winner! Try the salmon salad or Mushroom pasta. Simply delicious! Wish I took photos!
Angie
I quinoa salad that can't be beet! 😁

From the moment I walked in I was greeted by the super friendly staff as if we were long lost friends.
The service was really that impressive.
The decor is charming & happy, with all the white china hanging from the ceiling.
After ordering the salad, my waiter informed me that the quinoa would take some time, which was fine with me & totally worth the wait!
I had the coconut chai latte while waiting & it was delicious!
The Quinoa & beetroot salad is now my most favourite salad of all time!
The half bowl was more than enough for this hungry lady. Every bite was an absolute treat! The hazelnuts with pickled beetroot may sound odd, but it was magical. It was a crazy taste experience that I can't wait to go & have again! Highly recommended!

In general I like Tashas because of their large variety of dishes and their great cocktails (definitely try the Turkish dekight cocktail) and this Tashas - Brooklyn is a great spot and they always have good service.
Jasmyn Van Heerden
Great atmosphere, awesome service. #Apricot Ribs was tender, lacking bit of flavor.. Enjoyed the #Lamb pasta, the fresh ginger and al dente Bringal left a fresh and new experience, worth repeating.. #Don Caffe and #Lindt Mocca Latte was a perfect ending to lovely meal.
FoodiewhippedSA
Absolutely love this place. It tough to get a table as soon as you arrive as they are so busy. But once you do and order the food is all worth the wait. I normally order the pesto pasta with chicken it's one of my favorite and a winner every time.

The service is quick and very efficient staff is friendly. Definitely one of my favorite places in Brooklyn mall.Neeta Raga-D

The milk tart was divinely delicious. The flakey outer crust housed a delectable filling that I could not get enough of. Devoured in minutes!!! I'm coming back for more on my cheat day. Hendrik F Kotze

In the 4 years that I have been frequenting this restaurant I have yet to have a single complaint. I am always satisfied by the perfectly prepared salmon and delicious deserts accompanied by coffee (during office hours) or a few cocktails (after office hours).
The Foodie Corner
Beautiful restaurant located in a nice sunny spot in Brooklyn Mall, Tasha's never disappoints as a go-to place to enjoy a quick lunch, a shopping pitstop or a healthy, wholesome breakfast.

We stepped into Tasha's for a quick lunch before heading to the airport for our flight back home to the Mother City. I was in awe of the stunning Moroccan style that the restaurant had adapted - sweeping robes hanging from the celling, wind breezing through them, a string of old steel pots and pans and kettles hanging at one end. Shady and welcoming, it seemed like the perfect spot to enjoy our lunch on this hot summers day.

We wasted no time in ordering the smoked salmon salad and the chicken schnitzel sandwich. I like how they have an option to choose between 40g and 80g of salmon. I wanted a light lunch, so I chose the 40g and it was just the right amount. The salad was delicious, but I prefer to have my salads mixed for me, rather than each element being placed individually on the plate. Personally, it just doesn't work for me. My better half's sandwich was delicious - a decent portion and a wide variety of bread options to choose from. He enjoyed it (even though he was more after the schnitzel than the bread). It was topped with a sort of salsa, which, although a bit unexpected and unconventional, worked perfectly with the meal. However, afterwards my boyfriend realized that they perhaps put too much onion in it, which overpowered it a bit and left you feeling like you were eating an onion the whole day.

Service was quick, although a bit absent. Perhaps this was to meet the needs of busy working people who don't want to be disturbed and just want a quick meal. I feel their food is a bit overpriced for what you get, but this is a problem with Tasha's in general, and not specific to this branch.

Overall, a nice spot to do some people watching and enjoy a healthy meal. Not too bad, I'd return again and maybe order something else, like a juicy-looking sandwich.

Love This place, a definite favorite! The only think is the waiting que to get a table. The food is awesome, the drinks and cocktails are great! The service is great too!
Lizanne
Spoiled with friendly and efficient service. The food is always well prepared. Had n chicken mayo on rye. Plain but very tasty. The chicken wasn't dry and the mayo wasn't overpowering. My mom had the steak breakfast. It was packed with flavour. Our other guest couldn't fault the creamy pasta and said it was the best pasta he has tasted in a while. I enjoy their fresh juice selection as well.

Tasha's is a Pretoria favorite.
Amanda Van Heerden
Love this place; you can consistently expect to receive great service and delicious food. I ordered the breakfast tart and it was the best breakfast I've had in a very long while.
Lisa Van Wyk
I'm a huge Tashas fan, it's quite sad how often you will see me at a Tashas franchise! But the Brooklyn tashas has a special sense of African pride and their pumpkin fritters were out of this world! Will definitely be going back for more those bad boys. Great service, the most friendly staff and best atmosphere you could ask for!
Helenus
Interesting wines on the wine list, definitely not the usual boring well know brands. The Babylonstoren Chenin Blanc was good value at R160 a bottle. Nice thin, very big wine glasses.
The cheese burger I ordered was average. The beef patty was flavorsome and cooked medium as ordered but that is where it ends. The roll was old and dry. The whole burger was dry, not enough sauce.
The fries was as good as can be expected of those frozen chips; below average. The other order, an ostrich steak was good and cooked as ordered.
All in all a disappointing experience. Food quality and eat out experience did not match the high prices.
*edit* neglected to mention that the staff and our waitress Betty was very friendly.
Divine Rakau
This Tasha's reminds me a lot of my favorite one which is in Durban. It has the same very intimate feel and is also positioned nicely at the begging or end (depending on where you coming from) of the upmarket food court. The service is okay not to great. But the space is absolutely gorgeous and the food is absolutely delectable. Their speciality menu isn't all that existing and I was far more intrigued by options from the normal menu which is something they should look at because what's the point then of having a specials menu if there's nothing that scream special on it. I will say the offer properly the best smoothies I added whey protein to my green envy smoothie and it was quite a treat.
Emma Verster
Still one of the best breakfast places around! I've yet to be disappointed in the quality, variety and yumminess of the breakfasts here - they really cater to every palate.

I had the oats breakfast, served with berries, while my friend ordered the scrambled eggs. We ate up every last morsel - you won't want to waste any of the goodness on your plate;)

I'll be back! (Again and again)
Lebo Marape
Love the food, drinks and ambience.. Food is always fresh and full of favour.. Favourite eatery in Brooklyn and favourite Tashas Franchise..
Carice De Jager
Tashas is always a good idea, the food is always excellent and consistent!

Service is awesome and I love how the staff are dressed and presented, classy.

I had the brazilian quesadilla which is awesome with a chino freezo!
Chioma Asomugha
Beautiful food
It was kind of crowded (seats and tables are way too close to each other, there's a lack of personal space) but the food made up for it.
Omnomnomm
Nothing bad to say about any of the branches except that the menu could do with more vegan options. Great service and attention, fresh, flavorful ingredients, good presentation, delicious freshly squeezed juice, cute decor...Tashas is never a bad choice. This branch is more comfortable in terms of table set up than the Morningside one, although almost as busy. A definite must go just for the protein smoothie options.
Britt Meugens
The most amazing Turkish delight cocktail. I didn't want it to end. On the other hand I've had their freshly squeezed juices which are so fresh and full of flavour.
Devin Sage
I like the size of this tashas, not big and cramped with tables. Great weekend vibe. Friendly service as well as fast. I've never needed to wait very long at all. The waffles are amazing! The Harissa Lamb Sandwich is amazing! Love it. I'm not the biggest fan of alcohol but I had a sip of an amazing cocktail, I think it was the Turkish Delight. Really nice!
Andrew
As everyone knows, a Tashas anywhere is always a safe bet. The food and service was very good and great value, fresh and good quality. One thing I can complain about is their idea of Rye bread, have yet to be served anything close to rye bread. Above this very small negative, Tashas will always be my first choice for breakfast or lunch.
Philippa
Had a succulent luch which featured a Tasha's Brooklyn original....ribs and flame grilled corn. The meat and sauce were amazingly prepared and I think it is safe to say that I ate it like a pig hahaha.
Kemesha
I absolutely adore Tasha's, Brooklyn and I have been regular at the restaurant since it's very first day of opening.

The service is good and I have always been surrounded by friendly staff and management.

The quality of food is second to none and I enjoy the ambience of Brooklyn design square.

I have so many favorites - where do I start!!! Definitely the best Frullatas, Affogatos, Pina coladas, Turkish delight cocktails, Beef burgers and Salads in town. It's a pity that the Mariner and Golden Pear salads are no longer on the menu.

Oooh......their carrot and red velvet cake is like a little piece of heaven!!

This week, I've dined at Tasha's twice.....the lamb chops were so tender, tasty and utterly superb, that I had to go back for more. Possibly the best lamb chops in town.

What can I say......I'm a loyal Tasha's patron☺️.
Emily Potgieter
Tashas, Brooklyn, reimagines the classics of a family kitchen with some interesting twists.

I chose the Braai Broodjie off the specials menu which was an excellent choice for a light meal. The smokey sandwich oozed with good quality cheese which was perfectly balanced by their chunky chutney. This was served with a couple of small worse sausages which were disappointingly slightly over cooked and very dry. Despite this the sandwich lived up to the aspirations our own braai broodjies never quite reach.

Tashas prices are a little steep (R68 for what was essentially a well made toasted sandwich) but the ambiance makes up for it. The Dutch Huguenot inspiration is clear and the dining space carefully balanced rich textures with elegance minimalism.

Our waiter, Brian, was very helpful and was always there when we needed anything without hovering. The service was quick, efficient, and friendly.

Cara&Terence
This place is constantly raved about. We aren't sure why. Service was less than pleasant with our watron quite blasé. We ordered the Banting burger choice, patties served in lettuce cups. It took ages for the meal to arrive and then I had to send the food back twice because the meat was raw. When I received it back the first time, it was clearly microwaved. No one seemed very apologetic about anything. The food is quite pricey so this experience was disappointing.
Fatima Kamrudin Mamod
Went for lunch yesterday..had the hake goujons and lindt coffee..what a delight..well presented and delicious..my mum had the mozarrella cheese and tomato sandwich also really good..will be back
Michelle Delport
Amazing cocktails to end off a tough day with some mouth watering food to finish it off!!! The mini burgers are the best... With the Turkish delight cocktail to wash it down!
James Marsh
One of my favourite restaurants in Pretoria! Always good, friendly service! Food is delicious and fresh! Simply love the pesto cream pasta! I always return for it, as I am a massive pasta lover! Perfect spot for a date or catching up with some good friends
Abdullah Mahamed
Dinner at Tashas is always a lovely experience, however the restaurant is a bit small and it quite busy so it gets a bit cluttered Haha.

I had a Caffè latte which was perfectly layered.

A creamy pesto pasta, was really nice but a bit under seasoned. The waiter said there was chilli in the dish and of course it was bland and had to add my own chilli. This of course goes perfectly with a lovely glass of merlot. We all know that a meal without wine is called breakfast Haha..
Kirst Talbot
Took a trip to Tashas as a study break and getaway, indulged in a strawberry frullato, and can easily say it was the most tasty shake I have tasted in a while!!
The Pretoria Explorer
What a lovely atmosphere just when you walk in. The exclusive menu is something which you must focus on-it's exclusive to this branch. What I had was the pesto creamy pasta. If you love basil pesto, do your self a favour and try it. You know what's really good is those Parmesan cheese grater that comes to the table, I don't know why but I find it such a classic Italian touch. Service was excellent and staff friendly. Try the fillet, it's really a true dish 👌 what I enjoy most at any Tasha's is the breakfast and eggs Benedict 😏
Olivia Sophia Odendaal
I've only visited tashas twice now and so far I'm extremely impressed with the service and quality of this place. Situated at the Brooklyn Mall you can enjoy a lovely cup of coffee and breakfast, lunch or dinner. What you pay is what you get and they only serve the best!!! I enjoyed an absolutely breathtaking Turkish Delight cocktail last night. Previously I've enjoyed a lovely glass of red wine and salad (I believe they have the best salads ever)! Definitely visiting tashas soon again!
Nicole Van Niekerk
I just love Tasha's, the atmosphere is always great! Your always welcomed by friendly staff! My favorite thing on the menu is most definitely the Turkish Delight cocktail...
The Sweet- Tasting Good Life
Wowzers ! What a great brunch experience. My first time at this restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised at the menu which caters for all tastes and lifestyles. My citrus healthy what- not was delicious and very thoughtfully assembled. My friends were in a meaty mood and ordered the rodeo drive-whatever which was as decadent as it sounds. The spot has a great atmosphere for families and scores very high for the service and efficiency in food service except when I had to ask for a glass of tap water 3 times 😡. I would visit again though.
Robyn Louw
There are obviously plenty branches everywhere, but this was honestly the first time I was disappointed by the service of Tashas staff. We sat down and had a coffee and the empty mugs were only removed once we paid the bill after our meal. This might seem petty, but this really bothered me. The staff was not as lively and happy as I've come to expect at a Tashas. Other than that, the breakfast was great. I can never fault the food. I had the Village Croissant which was good as always and my hubby loved his One Pan Breakfast. A little disappointed but left with a full belly.
Natalie De Canha
Better late than never ✨
What a magical Valentine's Day dining experience with my best friend! The staff were friendly and the vibe was buzzing, as usual.
Fantastic food and a wonderful ambience definitely set the tone for a lovely day ahead 😊🌸
Aalia
Lovely atmosphere and friendly, well spoken staff, Natasha really knows her music too! My favorite is the tuna tartare, Niçoise salad and butternut salad. This particular Tasha's makes a pumpkin fritter (pampoentjies) served with ice cream and sauce- one of the best desserts ever. Also the chocolate fudge dessert is amazing
Alexia Bosanquet
I am always a fan of tashas all around S.A! Brooklyn branch is amazing food is fresh always. The waiter's are amazing. Such a fab place for Breakfast or lunch.
Marentia Van Kasterop
We decided to go to Tashas as they have quite an interesting menu.

A much better experience than last time 😁😁

The food was really good and our waitress definitely above average. What an improvement!!

Well done!! 😁😁
Anesh Tonisi
Tashas never disappoints, their service levels remain constant throughout the country. Whenever I go there, I know I will get the best value for money.
Ansunette Pelser
One of my favourite places for girls' nights or leisurely post-shopping brunches. The food, from salads and sandwiches through to their signature menu, is consistently good and generous in size. The cocktails are delicious as well, and although the baked goods sometimes leave a lot to be desired (except the carrot cake and custard slice - sensational!), you can't go wrong with a dessert of "pampoenkoekies" (pumpkin fritters) off of their signature menu. The decor is also fabulous. The only thing stopping me from being there more often, is that their prices tend to be a little high in comparison to similar establishments.

It's my birthday and I'll eat where I want and this year I chose Tashas. I have been here a few times before and every time is as good as the previous. The service is always good and as quick as it can be as Tashas is ALWAYS packed. All the dishes are fresh. I had the sirloin Steak Zarmie which I couldn't finish. My father had the Panko Goujons, which is also a very generous portion. My mom had the beef burger, which essentially is two midi burgers. My brother dug into the grand steak sandwich, with a healthy appetite.

After we enjoyed our late lunch, we shared a piece of carrot cake, which was moist and sweet. The pampoenkoekies was hot and fresh. This is served with the best vanilla ice cream I've had in a long time. I will return again and again as my experiences have only been fun and enjoyable.

After an unfortunate experience at tashas, I was surprised that Management made direct contact with me and tended to an issue we experienced. I have had fantastic experiences at the durban and melrose arch branch. And look forward to enjoying a meal with them again.

Thanks again Tashas. :)

This is one of my regular lunch spots. The service is fantastic, food is always great. Have some tasty lunch choices on the menu. The steak tagliata is a must! Great place to sit back with a glass of wine and do some people watching!
Dale Taylor
Really good ambiance .. food looked good but I couldn't sit longer than my first drink .. Don't know when was the last time I had such bad service..

There's a reason why tashas is always busy whenever you walk past it, and this goes for the other tashas as well. Throwing out a rough statistic, 8/10 times the food is always good. That's the reason why I am a repeat customer and I'm quite sure many are too, and that's why tashas is always busy.
I tried something different and went for panko crumbed hake, the portion size was rather big and the chips were skinny and crunchy. It was served with their version a tartar sauce which was excellent. The dish also came with a big tub of peas, it was a nice pea, but they were just peas, but pea lovers would like this, don't get me wrong. This is a healthy twist of the ol' British fish and chips and mushy peas, though the peas do work wonderfully for the dish, since it is not my mothers house I feel no obligation and prying eyes to finish them. These fish goujons are not to be mistaken for the woolworths goujons, they are massive and there is a plentiful serving of the hake, crispy crumbing and the fish is white and fluffy on the inside.
My friends had an equally tasty experience , one with a well-cooked pink beef fillet and the other with a beautifully cooked couscous and Parmesan chicken served with healthy blanched broccoli.
Overall, tashas prices are a bit pricey, but well worth every cent. It's one of my top favourite restaurants to go to and the good service and artfully tasteful decor makes it a wonderful place for a laid back dining experience with friends, family, colleagues or lovers.
I have added some pictures of our meals. I only remembered half way through our piggy eating to take them so the dishes are not so beautifully presented as when we got them, note I had to stop our stuffing of faces to take these. We also ordered additional onion rings, where I traded my one fish goujon for two.

This is my favourite Tasha's & I've been to a few of them! The service is exceptional & the staff is so friendly. The creamy pesto pasta is heavenly.

Normally frequent this spot whenever I need something dependable in the vicinity of Brooklyn Square.

It normally strikes me every time when I am already seated how compressed the space is at this Tashas outlet.

Ambience = 4. The ambience around the square is always buzzing, thanks to a number of eateries and the popularity of the place.

Food = 3 Well, with Tashas brand each outlet has its own signature and a general menu which are quite extensive and can be confusing if you're a first timer and no-one explains this difference to you.

My friend opted for lettuce cup burgers, which are burger patties topped with tomato, gherkins, salsa verde and served with sweet potato chips. Always a winner if not sure what to have. The fusion of the ingredients always delights. I like adding a bit of crushed chilli in olive to heighten the fusion whenever I have it - an experience.

I went for half portion Tashas Caesar salad - now theirs is one that restores your faith in this dish this side of Equator. The presentation thereof is fit for the Emperor's harvest table - 👌🏿.

Service = 3. I must say now of late this Tashas outlet has fallen in line with the service standards that are legendary with the founder.

Now if only they could find a bigger place....

The previous time that we were at Tasha's Brooklyn, it was a bit of a disaster. They sure made up for it this time. The service was excellent even though the restaurant was full and the food was out of this world.

Well done to everyone at Tasha's. You will definitely see us again.
René Bennett
One of our favourite places to go and have a glass of wine and while nibbling on generally good food. Today was no exception. Their wine selection is excellent even though their wines are not well-known. I had a summer salad (a half portion being more than enough) and my husband the Americana quesadilla. Both of which were extraordinary. And for dessert I had my alltime favourite carrot cake.
Fritz's Snack Shack Review
I had the Braai Broodjie for breakfast, it came with 3 sausages and a tomato chutney and was stunning like a typical Braai. I washed that down with a refreshing Lemon Freezos drink R38. On a second visit I had Salmon Tartar as a starter, fresh and wow clean flavours R 142.
I followed this with stunning soup and the bread was lovely and moorish R62. I just had to do the sweets so I chose lovely fluffy Pampoen Koekies with Ice cream. This was stunning R 52. Overall not cheap but worth it.
I loved the sidewalk type view and watching the people flow past. A real girlie get together venue!
Kananelo Sebati
The service is always excellent at this establishment. I recently had an early dinner with a friend and from start to finish we were well taken care of. The wait for our meals was not long and there are many guilt free menu options. My personal favorites are the summer salad and the burgers. Tashas is a place where you can rarely go wrong.
Yetunde Dada
I've always consistently had good experiences at Tashas. The food is always well prepared and I'm a big fan of their cocktails. Try the Pesto Chicken Pasta or the Alfredo as seen in these pictures. Go for the Turkish Delight cocktail which has two cubes of rose Turkish delight waiting for you at the bottom of your drink.
Kutlwano Kuki
Tashas is a great restaurant with a great menu but one question... I would like to come there with my baby. Will breastfeeding be a problem.
Ayrton Pinto
Great service and great food perfect for brunches and light lunches while the menu does also accommodate dinner options. My only problem is the small location which makes the atmosphere slightly cramped and the limited variety of different meals. I do highly recommend it to anyone looking for a brilliant lunch out with the girlfriend or wife.
Thokozani Goodwill Siliya
The food was good their service a bit slow food took forever to arrive. The ambience is great it complements a sunny spring morning, just the perfect way to kick start ones day.
Kyle Philip Coulson
Have noticed its a pit stop for Sunday morning cycling. It is situated between various restaurants and offers a good venue for a night out. They have a good standard of service and an awesome menu!
Moeketsi Mokay Lebakeng
Good food and great service, It was my first time at the Tashas in Brooklyn and I was very impressed with the food and the exceptional quality service
Talita Jacobs
Had lunch at Tashas for a friends birthday and it was really good. The service wasn't the best I've ever had but it would suffice. I love the whole setting of the design square .
Jane Van Blommestein
Always a satisfying experience at Tashas Brooklyn, attentive service, comfy seating, yummy dishes. Even though the menu is slightly pricey, the consistency is what keeps me returning.
Qhawe Luthuli
Tasha's keeps to their standards when it comes to their quality of food but what disappoints me about this franchise is their quality of service.
Arra De Beer
Great spot for a business brunch. Tashas cater very well for just that. A decorated stylish table and what seemed like the head waiter. Service was terrific and the food was great. Splendid variety on offer, from a classic english to a "poitjie" style dish with poached eggs in a meat frenzy. Privacy and great food. Top spot
Adele Geldenhuys Koolen
Stopped in for a quick brunch. The beetroot and carrot juice is always a winner as is the savvas pasta. Everyone at the table ate the same and we were all very happy. Out of all the tashas definitely best food and service
Carina Vermooten
I absolutely adore the decor and the fact that this particular Tashas is also surrounded by other trendy places in Brooklyn Design Square.

My favourite is their Nutella croissants. Yum!
The Secret Cat
Very popular restaurant with a great menu and vibe. Awesome for family dinners or friend get togethers. Really loud inside, so rather don't consider Tasha's for a date night. The food is mostly consistent, although a squeeze of lemon or acid would brighten up most dishes... Waiting list on weekends, so get there early...
Michael Morton
For some reason Tasha's never really ever lives up to the hype for me... Nice setting and clean look. However there is always a queue, and the food just never wows me! Coffee was good.. Never really get what all the fuss is about..
Gugulethu Del'sile Nandi Mdladla
I love this Tasha's. I've never once had a bad experience here and I love their menu. I really will/would gush about their whole menu because it's that good. I love Tasha's take on contemporary dining. Good salads & hearty breaded dishes too like the footlong & the burgers. Scrumptious. Their desserts, sumptuous. I don't know whether they still have the chocolate cake, ice cream and hazelnut sauce dessert but that's gotta be my favourite 'cheat' dessert ever. And it's really such a simple dessert but so gooey & yummy all around! Simply put, Tasha's is my ol' trusted go to 'I feel fancy today so I'll go have a well crafted meal in a light & convivial atmosphere' restaurant. Never disappoints. So much better too in terms of ambience & service than the Rosebank outlet. So, so much better! Also, just writing this review has me already salivating for a Tasha's cocktail!!! Like I said, this is one of those all-round good restaurants in my opinion!
Nadja Louw
First of all they have fantastic wine glasses which makes it worth-it already. The food is always presented elegantly and I have never been disappointed with anything. The gourmet boerie is a great lunch to have and they always deliver with their baked goods of the day. They are always consistent with service, food and the atmosphere in the reataurant.
Rynoux Du Preez
The setting in The Brooklyn Mall Square is great and remember to book if you do not want to queue or wait. The finishes and furniture definitely give the impression of a upper class restaurant. The food is awesome and the service is good. The entire menu is filled with fresh and healthy combinations and boast a large variety. A bit on the pricey side, but great food overall!
Ashley Walker
This Tasha's has a really great vibe and a lovely setting and makes for the perfect place for both breakfast and lunches. The Turkish delight cocktail is fantastic and I really enjoy the chicken prego and their Caesar salad.
Mntimande Tone
I hardly eat out for breakfast but I had ulterior motives for driving about 50 km just to have breakfast at Tashas. I decided to have a mini cappuccino while I wait for the beautiful reason why I was there to arrive Ruby , well the cappuccino was worth the price, totally enjoyed it.
I decided to have the classic breakfast (two eggs, 2 Italian sussages, bacon and mashrooms) thinking it was a bit over priced but I loved it. Everything on my plate was well cooked and my love of mashrooms was elevated.

Una Singo
Ive been to Tasha's many many times before, all around the country Tasha's restaurants rarely disappoint and it is for that reason I'll be going back!

I love their variety, from loads of drink options to tons of food options...they also make the best red velvet cake that I've ever had.

Just don't do the the cranberry bobotie, it's WAY too sweat, you will struggle! 🙈
Lame [Lah-meeh]
When in doubt in a mall, always choose Tashas. I mean do they ever disappoint? No. My favorite savvas chicken pasta with linguine, and then the lamb prego from their signature menu, not forgetting the haloumi cheese on the side. A classic👌🏽
Pieter
Terribly over priced and shocking service. My soup was served on a dirty plate and tasted like burnt butter. The location is great, the restaurant is not😡
Frans Pretorius
Always a favourite. I had the Creamy Pesto Pasta (again) and it was define. I really need to go back and try the other stuff on the menu but I can't get myself to not order the pasta. We'll be back 😆😆😆
Joss Pieterse
I really enjoyed my experience at Tashas. The Turkish delight cocktail was absolutely marvellous, as was my pasta. Great place to go for cocktails and food
Travers Sagar
Went to tashas for a meeting with my financial adviser. Its a very busy restaurant located in the middle of the design square, so its actually quite noisy. Maybe not the best choice for a meeting. On the other hand, the food was great. I had a delicious toasted sami that really hit the spot and the coffee was decent.
Lara Nortje
Tashas , Brooklyn Square. The Turkish delight cocktail is definitely a great treat! The service was great, it is cozy but not crowded. I would never miss a opportunity to visit it again!
Nita
How can you not love Tashas? Firstly, let's not even mess around, their signature Turkish Delight Cocktail is a must! Never go to Tashas without having one. Never.
We started off with The Mexican Quesidilla. The mince tasted like my home made mince with a hint of coriander, just to tease the palate. Every ingredient made me want another slice. I could not stop.
Hubby had Frankies Curry. I loved the curry sauce, but the cubes of chicken were too dry. This is all part of the cooking process, I know. But the dry chicken cubes, is evidence that it is done separately from the sauce, not allowing the meat to suck up all the juicy flavours, after being browned.
My main course Lettuce Cup Burger, was such a lovely surprise in both taste and how they presented it. I could only eat one of the burgers, as I was already indulging and felt like they would have to roll me out of there, after paying the bill.
At first I felt that they are a bit pricey, but seeing the portions, it is worth every cent.
Service was excellent. Ndumiso had several tables, yet never forgot about us. Pleasant surprise. Now I know why they always have a queue.
Shae Leigh
Their signature Turkish delight cocktail is a treat. Always busy so it's quite hard to get a seat sometimes. I love their pumpkin fritter and vanilla ice cream dessert. Truly South African overall with some very tailored dishes. Some of the waiters need better training - they don't always understand what's being asked but a good time in general.
Michelle
Since we arrived the place was buzzing with people . The service was fast . Pastries were fresh and they had quite a good variety. All the food we had was fresh and was well worth the money we paid for. The cocktails were even better ! You are sure to find your all time favourite in their menu!
Hlayisani Sambo
You can't go wrong with this joint. I like their orange granita. My wife always has the gourmet boerewors roll even though they have a comprehensive menu. The staff always pulls together and puts their good foot forward. The main show is the food, on point.
Moshibudi Mphahlele
Lovely location at the design quarter in Brooklyn. Service was great, the waiter was polite and friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal, had the hake goujons, also very generous portion
Linda
Not impressed, over priced and under deliver. The management was rude and the food was cold. I have been there several times and always left unimpressed, never again
Deon Krause
Delicious, amazing and appetising! The atmosphere and creative menu is the reason why we are seeing more and more Tashas in Gauteng. My wife and I love the pasta and coffee. Excellent for lunch dates.
Robin Lily
Reallllly good food. Always constant with quality. Drinks are also aesthetically pretty. The whole restaurant is beautiful. Wonderful experience.
Lara Lourens
Really a lovely experience. Tasha's is beautifully decorated, always busy and never disappoints. Mad about their salads and their milkshakes are one of my guilty pleasures. Even my dad, who was slightly skeptical (as usual) when I took him there was very impressed. Mouthwatering vegetarian dishes and diet ruining cakes. I hope I can visit again soon!
Natasha Parry
We have never been disappointed with a meal at any of the outlets. Love the food, the ambiance, the waiters are well trained, the coffee is good - love it.
Koki
Love this place, personal favourite. Each time is nothing but a pleasant and wonderful experience. Food is great, service is great, wine/cocktails are great.
Christine Grobler
Always a good option! Friendly and very efficient staff, constantly delicious food, and amazing ambience. I can't wait to pay them a visit to see their recent renovations as well as try out their new menu!
Jono Blackburn
Wow the apricot sticky ribs are amazing, meaty and soft! Super, always busy but worth the wait, must be the most reliable restaurant in the Brooklyn mall area.
Claire
Average restaurant - full of moms and babies during the day. The menu is expensive for what you get. I do like the pots and decorations hanging from the roof though.
Mixy Janse Van Rensburg
A constant classic where one can be assured to always receive quality food and service. The signature menu is also a lovely quirk for each individual restaurant. From breakfast all the way through to dinner you are spoilt for choice, maybe too much choice. Favourite dish: open salmon sandwich. Only downfall is no bookings are allowed.
Wilna Bester
Having eaten there many times, I shall return again and again for their consistantly great food, clean, modern decor and friendly wellcoming service.
That said, I think one must think of Tashas as an eatery for daytime and early supper.
Once before, when ordering coffee at 21:00 (after a meal), we were told that "the coffee machine had allready been cleaned! " Even the manager at the time could not resolve the problem. We had to leave without.
On Tuesday we went with a friend. Our food was outstanding. We ladies ordered the Grand Steak Sandwich and my husband the Braaibroodjies and sausage. My friend's steak was served cold. After mentioning this to our waiter, they prepared her a whole new dish. This of course, took time, but when arrived, was delicious. My chips were cold. The Steak Sandwich is super - tender, well prepared steak, creamy sauce with crunch from red onion and greens, also grated beetroot if I remember correctly.
When we wanted to order desert (Hubby would kill for the Banoffee) - the kitchen was closed! Again! At least our waiter should have warned us. (We arrived before 20:00 and finished our mains by 21:00) Again, the manager could only appologise weakly.
From now on I shall have to go to Tashas with my girlfriends...
Clearly there are service problems that should be addressed.
Edwin Watson
Two things. The Turkish delight cocktail and their ribs. The ribs fall off the bone and quite frankly are the best I have had and their Turkish delight cocktail is clearly their biggest hit.

Tasha's has built a name as the place to be seen where many of the local celebs and sportsman are seen.
Tinus
With confidence you can order blindly off the Tashas menu. Everyting is perfect! I think Ive had about 30% of their menu and everying is 10/10! Location is amazing too. Can get a little busy, be sure to book!
Laura W
I've been to Tasha's a few times and always felt they were a bit too expensive. Something that dawned on me while eating breakfast at Tashas in Brooklyn/ Design quarter is that I was spending over R80 on breakfast! That's the sort of price for pay for dinner! Another thing, which everyone at the table agreed upon, was that the servings were massive. I had two slices of toast piled with mushrooms, two poached eggs, feta, spinach and other stuff I've probably forgotten. It was HUGE! I would have preferred just one piece of toast with the toppings and paid R40. It wasn't the type of meal you could take home and eat later and still have tasted good and fresh.

Even the lady at the adjacent table was presented with an entire paw paw smothered in yoghurt and almonds. It looked amazing but what person can eat a whole paw paw in one sitting?!

So for me, Tasha's needs to tone down on their portion sizes and cut the price too.
Neil Bissett
Another restaurant where my family and I usually go to for a Sunday lunch. very professional waiters and great selection of wines
Lisa Otto
Tasha's is the kind of place to go for good quality and reliability. The food won't thrill you, and the menu hasn't changed in forever, but you'll know what you're getting. It gets a bit busy as it's popular with the diplomatic crows and Pretoria's ladies who lunch. Since they don't take reservations, be prepared to wait, especially around lunch times and at the weekend.
Sands
My favourite Tashas of them all. Service is always on the ball. Every meal there has been a delightful taste experience, huge portions, fresh ingredients. Value for money for sure. Remains one of our favorite weekend brunch spots.
Gijames
Food is out if this world, portions are huge and taste is amazing. Can not wait to go back.
Diner D
Not my favourite restaurant in the franchise but enjoyable none the less. It is quite a small establishment and often one has the wait for a table. The service is not bad and they are always willing to accommodate any special requests. The coffee is great, especially the espresso. You can see that the barristers have been trained well. If you are looking for a good breakfast try Tasha's Brooklyn.
