Enjoyed Sunday lunch yesterday - good food and service, good value for money except cost for a glass of wine a bit over the top. Experience made even more enjoyable by great music from Don McDonald. W'ell be back.
Bookmarked Malt and wanting to go for a while. So finally on Friday evening decided to try it out. Upon arrival we were seated right away. Malt has such a nice kuier vibe, festive and quite big. The decor and ambiance is absolutely great! Malt is the first place I know that has Savanna on tap... so brownie points there ... it was amazing. The drinks and food menu is quite extensive. Very nice G&T and cocktails menu. I ordered the fish and chips, it was nice but the fish was way too oily for my liking. The burgers looked amazing. The waitress and staff were really friendly and efficient. We will be back.

Burgers and pizzas are fine. With steak they need some more practice in the kitchen to deliver a medium one. I had to return it twice until I had the right result.
Staff is friendly and forthcoming.
They have daily specials on their menu.
Service is great, met with a smile and the waiters are quick to address any small enquiries. (Cut burger in half)
Food is really good especially the burgers, the quality and quantity is 100% for what you pay for.
My second visit to Malt and i couldn't be more pleased. Such a great place for drinks and food whether you're alone, with friends or as a couple.
The service was on point from the first step we took into Malt up until the last step out of Malt. The decor is trendy and warm which makes you feel comfortable and ready for a great evening.
Our waitress was very helpful and well informed of the menu. All the options which she recommened were so tasty!
As a table snack we shared the chicken strip basket. The chicken was coated perfectly and was tender. For mains we had the lamb burger and ribs. The lamb burger was so Good! The unusual flavours came together perfectly. The ribs were delicious - not too sweet and a good portion of meat.
Drinks - The usual beers, R & R Mojito and a Cotton Candy Cocktail. The Mojito was a little sweet for my liking. The Cotton Candy Cocktail was really good with a nice serving of cotton candy.
We really enjoyed everything we had!
Awesome place, the decor is just great and the look and feel of the place is welcoming. Extensive drinks menu which leaves you spoilt for choice! There menu is fine, not too many options but enough. Enjoyed the ribs and the potatoe wedges. Can the smoking area be extended please?? Overall great place for a great meal and drinks
Came here for birthday drinks and was very impressed with the décor! Wow it looks so nice, it made it an awesome atmosphere – we had a private party upstairs.
The menu was really nicely done and some of the others ordered food. The presentation looked really nice and everyone said how it tasted great, the nachos was a favorite – everyone kept ordering it.
The service was good and we had a few beers and a few shots. It was a really nice party – and we will definitely go back there again!
Still one of my favorite places. A place you can bring family or friends, day or night. Delicious food, great service and a cosy atmosphere. Great for craft beer lovers and meat lovers. Best ribs in town.
Not bad at all. Buzzing, mostly male vibe on a Friday afternoon. Food a little bland but salt and peri-peri sauce sealed the deal. Will be back for the tequila and pineapple slice..
Great spot to have a few drinks and a good lunch. I've tried the steak and burgers and both were good. My wife enjoys having their variety of salads. The pizzas look amazing, will definitely go back to try those. Good selection of cocktails and craft beers available. The "club" music is maybe the only thing not to my liking, but I am pushing 37 years of age so maybe Im getting to old for that.
The food was amazing, service was top-notch and I really dig the venue. Looking forward to bringing more friends here. Please keep it up, guys!

The perfect combination of vibey sports bar and great eating spot! On one occasion we ate and had the chicken espetada and the flattie which were delicious. On another occasion we watched the rugby and it was so much fun! Sipping on beer, shooters rolling, finished of with a delicious snacks platter. The works. What is different are the jam jars that i cannot stop raving about. They are all a tasty, fruity, herby combination that will leave you wanting to try another one. The decor is amazing, very modern and rustic. Definitely worth a try for a good night out or for a great lunch or even dinner!
We met some friends for a quick drink at Malt Bar & Grill. The atmosphere was perfect and of the view that the owners got it right. The beef trinchado is divine and the bread with the dish a winner. Pizza was for main and it's to die for. The desert was waffles with ice cream and a killer. Give this little gem a try and recommend this spot.

Nice, lively eatery. I like the selection of beers. Their pizzas are superb (could be the best I've had). Really nice decor inside. Maybe a bit too noisy inside if you want to enjoy a normal conversation with your companions and the music is not totally to my liking, but I like the place a lot. Will go back (many times).
Decided to pop in to watch some Saturday afternoon rugby. The place was packed but the service was good. I had the chicken strips starter and must admit I was delightfully surprised. Waiters are well trained and friendly and it's worth another visit. The kitchen was busy and the food coming out of it looked great so can't wait to try this place again.

I get that it's a brand new restaurant.... Although I feel that one should then open with a 'bang!'
My boyfriend and his family live in the Silver Lakes area and we couldn't wait for this bar& grill to open.
The staff were very friendly and energetic.
The décor is very well finished. Looks like an urban bar you'll find in Cape Town. The little details like the plants hanging everywhere really made this place unique.
We received our "menus" which were a major let down-paper crammed together. Even if the menu is temporary make an effort to make it more presentable.
They were really quick with our food and it was mouthwatering. But the food portions were just too small for that of a bar. Men like to eat a lot more than what they presented us with. It was barely enough for women.
Malt's not necessarily overpriced. Their prices are very similar to their next door neighbours (Dros). It's just the portion sizes.
I will definitely be going again with some friends for some drinks.
Had a lunch with friends yesterday. Elliot was our waiter. Such a cool gent, so bubbly, helped recommend cocktails and meals and kept checking in on us. The food was great as always. Shoutout to Prosper for helping us with wifi connectivity🤗

Vast selection of beverages. Pizza is good with a unique way of service. Staff competent and friendly. Clean with fresh decor, something between industrial and modern. Good selection of music with excellent atmosphere. Good selection of specials for every day of the week.

Good food and service. Love the vibe. Waiters are friendly and well informed. Been there 4 times. Just about the only place where you can get Macallan whiskey in Tshwane. Can not wait for the new branch in Queenswood.
Malt never disappoints.
We have been going to Malt now since they first opened, and we have never been disappointed.
They offer a wide variety of food, anything ranging from a burger, to a steak, to pizza. And they do it all well. They also have a wide variety of drinks. Exotic milkshakes, cocktails, a great selection of beer on tap (even craft beer) and a good selection of wines.
The service is always very good and the waiters are speedy and effective in what they do.
We will keep on coming to Malt. I can recommend Malt to anyone who is looking for an amazing evening out, with great food, great service and vibey music.

Service was up to par, unfortunately they do not take any special requests.
Their cocktails are so delicious that I have to say that they need bigger glasses. There aren't 500ml cocktails available and cannot charge you for two and make it in a bigger glass. Also quite expensive for the amount that you are getting. The guys definitely enjoyed their beers and they were massive. The food was amazing could use more sauerkraut with the eisbein and chips to make it perfect.
This was my first time at your restaurant. I enjoyed the fireplaces and atmosphere very much. The food was great 👍🏻
