Liked it 👌, lovely ambiance and service, covid regulations applied too. Enjoy our meal especially the chicken liver delicious 😋 and the house cocktail was superb. Will come back again, try other items on menu for sure. Our lovely friendly and helpful waiter was Dudu, she'll make you feel at home.

Another memorable celebration of the gift of life for my son's 7th 🎂 birthday party 🎉. Team Mythos did it with love and warmth that made the young and old mingle and share good laughs as the event unfolded over good meals and service. Try it for a small or big table to add that dash into creating another memory with love ❤

Best prawn pasta - and that at a Greek restaurant. Enough prawns, enough garlic and enough chilli. Baklava nutty with dripping honey. Mousaka soft and delicios and big portions. Service is fast and waiters friendly

What an awesome experience. From the manager to the waiter to the chef, what an incredible crew. The food was tasty, seasoned to perfection. The attention to detail from our waiter was superb. No request was to much for them to make my birthday special. So by the way, I broke a plate to celebrate my special day. I will definitely go back there again. Well done, all the staff.

I have not had a bad meal at this establishment yet. I think if all the establishments in the courtyard invest in some live dinner club music at night it will enhance the experience and take some market share from the Casino. The fish and chips is a personal favorite of mine.

It has an outdoor sitting which adds to your relaxation.

Amazing food, best ambience. It’s such a warm and cosy. Would recommend for lunch and breakfast. We had a platter and it was 10/10.

Had the meze platter for 2 and was disappointed with how the food was cooked. All the meat on the platter was dry and tasteless. Pita bread oily and rubbery. Skordalia tasted like it came from a plastic squeeze bottle. Not a good representation of Greek food.

Had lunch here today. Food was good but waiters and managers need some customer service training. Everything feels like an effort to them and make the customers feel that you are in their way.<br/>

It was time to stop being curious about mythos and go try it.<br/>And it wasn’t a bad experience at all.<br/>They welcomed me very well, good people there especially my waiter.<br/>I decided to go for the T-bone and I really enjoyed it, it was well done.<br/>The environment is also pleasant.

Yesterday we went to Mythos at Menlyn Main. Ambiance is nice seated outside on the square with children playing at the water fountains. Staff was friendly, but not always that attentive. We enjoyed the food (sardines and a beef souvlaki). Of course with a Greek baklava as desert!<br/>

Had dinner at Mythos Menlyn Maine. Starter were YUMM<br/> Hubby and I shared the shellfish platter for mains. Was tasty but LANGOUSTINES were XL Prawns at s massive stretch. Called the manager which realy is not something we normally do She assured us it was Langos. Sorry but I grew up in DBN. NOT LANGOS. Very dissapointing. Just say sorry and let's move on guys!! Will not be back to this specific branh of Myrhos. So dissapointef because this was SUCH a special event !!

Showed us away because they had bookings. Did not even suggest us to wait a few minutes although half of the tables were empty and still empty by the time we left another restaurant.

Went there at night and can i just say, the vibe was great so was the service. The waiters were really nice and they gave us a warm welcome. Also the food was amazing. I had pasta which I enjoyed very much. I would absolutely go there again.

What a lovely reception we received, and the food was just as great. The tapas portions are generously sized and they tasted fantastic. This branch lives up to the name.

My mom and I went to try Mythos again after not going for a few years. We had had bad experiences at the Irene branch and didn't fancy going back. A friend had recommended that the Menlyn Maine branch was of a higher standard as it is fairly new and we were not disappointed. <br/><br/>We both thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. The restaurant is well-decorated, the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is one of relaxation and foodness. <br/><br/>My mom had the Cheese Croquettes for a starter and said they were enjoyable and commented that the four balls of feta, emmental and gruyère cheese were "just the right amount for a starter". <br/>For a main she decided on the Kota Mythos (chicken breasts with roasted potatoes). She really enjoyed it and agreed with the description of "succulent" chicken from the menu. The potatoes were delightful sides and the meal didn't disappoint. <br/><br/>I only had a main and chose the Soudsoukakia (spaghetti and meatballs). Let's just say that I have found my new meatball place. The meat was well-cooked and the infusion of herbs with meat was tasty. The tomato sauce was the perfect addition, it didn't overwhelm the taste of the meat or the pasta. I really enjoyed this dish and can't wait to go back for more. I paired this with a nice Pinotage (Beyerskloof) and it went down nicely with the saucy dish. <br/><br/>We were feeling a little indulgent and decided to order mini cakes for dessert. The Belgium chocolate mousse is to die for. Although fairly rich in taste, it is still a wonderful treat for chocolate lovers. My mom had the red velvet cake which is as nice as any red velvet cake should be and not overly sweet. These mini cakes are the perfect size for just a small cheat moment. <br/><br/>The entire experience was exactly what a Saturday lunch should be and the food blew us away. My only quibble with Mythos is that it is a little pricey, but the food really was worth it. I highly recommend this restaurant for friends, families and couples. <br/>

We had the Meat Meze platter for two today at Mythos. The food was good but it is very overpriced. I don't think it's worth it to get the platter the main meals are better than the Meze options. The meze portions are small and very expensive.

I went here for my two year anniversary with my boyfriend and it was absolutely great. The waiters were all very attentive, the food was magnificent, and the service was speedy. <br/>The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere, but the birthday music is deafening.<br/>I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Delicious food and a festive atmosphere at Myhos. I had the 500g fillet on the bone which is their speciality. Was a little let down but was still good especially with a spinach side dish. Service was good and did not wait long for the food at all.

Went to Mythos at Menlyn Maine for my girlfriend's birthday lunch. We were greeted politely by the waiters and seated to a table of our choice (as it was midweek). Having visited the Brooklyn outlet before, this outlet had a slightly better feel as it is not so cramped. We both had the chicken Souvlaki with extra pita which completed the portion and soothed all our hunger pains. The service was quite good and our waiter, Welcome, was very polite. The prices are fair for the environment and class one would expect at these restaurants so also nothing to complain about there.

Absolutely love the new Mythos Menlyn Maine! Decided to try this Greek restaurant for my birthday and it mostly definitely didn't disappoint! Although we were quite a big table, the service and food was quick. It was my birthday and this branch put in such a great effort for me. From breaking plates to dancing it was a super fun time! Our waitress, Caroline - was great and always went out of her way. Lovely variety of smells and tastes covered our table. The music, the atmosphere and the decor is all wonderful! Just, wow. <br/>Celebrated my 22nd birthday dinner here with a group of close friends, and the service was so wonderful. Truly accomodating to such a big table with all kinds of crazy activities and chatting going on, and so on top of the orders! The waiters engaged with our celebrations which was super fun! As a birthday treat, I recieved a pineappled Don Pedro and got to dance around a smash a plate! Highly recommended source of therapy😂👏 <br/>Fantastic evening with fantastic service and always reliable food. Menlyn Main features are variety of stunning new restaurants and Mythos certainly didn't disappoint. The square offers a wonderful vibe, and ambience with the crowd up to their business around you, makes one feel you are somewhere other than Pretoria. The food was stunning, freshly prepared and had stand out flavours. The service was a bit slow, but otherwise a very pleasant experience. Looking forward to be dining here soon again.

Went to this Mythos outlet for a friend's birthday and really enjoyed it. The decor is incredible! We were a big group & the service was very quick for the amount of people that were there. I had the calamari salad that was HUGE with lots of feta and avo. It was great value for a huge portion. I will definitely be back.

This is the 4th Mythos branch I've been to and, in my opinion, the best one. We first tried to get a table at Old Town Italy, but they were full. We were hungry so we weren't prepared to wait. 😝 The Mythos staff were friendly and organised us a table of 7 in a flash. For starters we ordered an array of tapas to share amongst us. Every single one was tasty and enjoyed. Not a crumb was left over. LOLLLLL! Even though we were quite stuffed, we proceeded to order mains and I don't regret it. I had the mousaka and it was delicious. After mains we had a short "breather" before we signaled our waiter over for dessert orders. Yes, you read right...We forced some space for dessert! Muhahaha 😏 The loukoumades were sooo yummy, I dream of them often now...Need to go back and satisfy this craving. Anyway...I can't fault them on anything. All 7 of us enjoyed every minute of our evening. Service was on point and the food was superb. What more do you want? 😌

It was my first time at Mythos, and I had a lovely experience. Our waitress (Dudu) was very attentive, friendly and polite. I really liked the decor and ambience; you almost forget that you are in a shopping centre! The time taken for our food to arrive was very reasonable, and the food was fantastic. I had the lamb ribs and my friend had the slow cooked lamb. Both dishes were delicious and so very well cooked that the meat literally fell off the bones. Overall, a lovely restaurant with good service, good food, and at reasonable prices.

I'm so obsessed with the newly opened Menlyn Maine. All the restaurants have outside seating and the same applies to Mythos, we had dinner outside on a warm Autumn evening. Our server Harold was very accommodating and polite. We ordered a Long Island ice tea and a sparkling wine spritzer, which both had a kick. My boyfriend had traditional moussaka and I had two mezze of falafel with hummus and fried squid heads with a side of pita bread. We enjoyed our meals overlooking the centre court and the construction of the casino. Great date night.

Had a late lunch (after 2pm) on Thursday 23 Feb. Had wine ( Iona Sophie Te'blanche) and sparkling water. For food we had a couple of tapas, and I ordered the prawn pasta. This meal was amazing. I have never had such a well balanced creambased pasta, my mouth is watering as I type. All the food was great, the rice pudding as well. The only deduction was for slow, lazy waiters, we felt as if they avoided us. There was 2 other tables, but the waiters walked around and we had to make quite a bit of noise to be heard! Will definitely be back for that insane pasta!

Food.<br/><br/>The food and ambience was decent.<br/><br/>However, the service received from both the waitering staff and manager on duty was appalling. They were completely inattentive and couldn't care less. <br/><br/>We were celebrating a birthday. Unfortunately, the shoddy service tarnished our dining experience.

We landed up a Menlyn Maine on Saturday night, after a disastrous turn of events, which required us finding somewhere for dinner at the last minute. The restaurant was packed and had a good vibe, with kids playing in the nearby fountains. We ordered the dolmades to share as a starter, they were tasty and served on top of delicious yoghurt dressing. For mains we had the seafood platter for 2 off the meze section. The calamari, squid heads and fish were all really good, but the prawns were tiny and a little mushy. The mussels were also really small. Unfortunately, due to the restaurant being so busy, I think our food was left standing for a while as it was a bit cold when it arrived. They were out of baklava so we shared something similar for dessert. Our waiter was pleasant and interactive. Not the best Greek food I've ever had but it was nice enough.

My two friends and I were not very happy with the service. The waitress was difficult to find when we needed her and she got my drink order wrong. The food was okay, nothing exceptional. It seems to be a very popular place.

Greek food at its finest! <br/>A large variety of meze to choose from and all are delicious. My favorite being the chicken livers and the prawns! <br/>This last time I decided to try one of their pitas instead, I normally don't venture away from my normal order (especially if it's as good as those mezes) but it was well worth it. The pita was stuff full and was packed with flavour, it also comes with a side of chips which are crispy and delicious. Keegan had their lamb chops with roast potatoes which were really exceptional (and he is dying to go back and try their lamb ribs!)<br/>Our waiter was great, but had to get someone to call him when we wanted our bill and did wait quite a while for him to come. <br/>The restaurant is packed full with tables and it makes for a little bit of a claustrophobic feel, definitely think they should remove a few tables.<br/>All in all was a pleasant experience and divine food, will definitely be back!

Awesome little find with our trip to Pretoria from Cape town. Food was fresh, real greek flavour filled food. All cooked to perfection. Great value for money with the lunch special they currently running. Exceptional service and definately a highlight to our trip in Pretoria.

I visited the restaurant in November with friends from work! It turned into one of the most memorable nights for us! All I will say is. ... have yourself an Isle of Mythos. .or two..or three! Lol.<br/><br/>My first encounter with Greek cuisine, the food opened my mind as well as my taste buds to something new! <br/><br/>I enjoyed their vegetarian platter! I had to ask about the different foods on the platter as my mind was blown, and our waiter Lerato was there to explain what everything was. I appreciate her knowledge and her patience. <br/><br/>The decor and the atmosphere is relaxed and calming. I felt like we were on some Greek island for real! The service is professional and prompt.<br/><br/>My only suggestion us that they should stock Grey Goose vodka on their menu as it is my preference.

Stopped in a for a Saturday lunch and boy oh boy was I shocked. Nothing like the Brooklyn branch and no where near as good. The service was less than mediocre and the food they served was raw. We ordered the hake and chips and a cardinal mistake is to serve me raw hake. The first bite tasted like rubber and i was utterly disgusted. I called the manager and he was very accommodating and offered to get me a new dish. So the new dish comes and it was better but my mood was spoilt already. The only reason why I'm giving it a two out of five was that the wine was great and the manager offered us desserts on the house. His waiter did spoil the experience and I won't be back.

Popped in for a quick lunch. Our server, Ray, was so friendly and service was extremely fast. I had the salmon salad which was delicious and generous. Love that it comes with half an avocado and lots of capers. My friend had the calamari salad which was great too. I love that they serve their still and sparkling waters in glass and not plastic bottles.

I love Mythos! the decor the music the friendly servers! The blue and white is my mini version of The Greek isles right here.<br/><br/>They have awesome lunch specials daily Monday to Friday! Whether it's rump or fish and chips or wraps they have great dishes to choose from.<br/><br/>We had a great late lunch, and avoided the lunchtime madness. Will return for some more great meals.

Walked by, and noticed their exceptionally great deal on their lunch menu. Wow I was amazed, 2017 seems like a great year so far. Decided to have lunch here and I was definitely blown away. I had the 200g beef with chips, and my wife had the holumi wrap. These portions were just the right size for just the perfect lunch. Not to heavy and not to light. Definitely will be back for the lunch menu. Great and friendly staff.

Lovely way to step into the new year. Had my first lunch of 2017 here. After having searched a long time for an open place. The place was packed so we had to sit outside, no giant umbrella could help shade. The food was quite good, I was feeling a bit peckish so I went for prawns and a side salad. The prawns where so fresh but a bit under-seasoned, the chicken salad was amazing. I assume because it was so busy and people are hung the service wasn't the best but apart from that really chilled vibes

Nice venue, although I do like Brooklyn's mytho's more as it's a bit more spacious. Otherwise this is fine - i mean what more can you expect from a chain restaurant.

I was very impressed with my experience at Mythos Menlyn Maine. The ambience was beautiful and lighting was great. The decor of the establishment is tastefully done and not too in your face. The food was delightful and tasted great. Service was swift and prompt. Mythos was the perfect catalyst for great evening filled with great conversation and laughter. Yes, you pay a bit more for your food but you definitely get what you pay for. Well done guys, see you again soon.

OPA!!!<br/><br/>I had a light dinner here last night and what an experience. Starting off with the weather, which was perfect for outside seating. The place was buzzing - maybe because it is fairly new. <br/><br/>I had a light meal - Chicken Livers and Pita Bread. The livers were not in a sauce but they were very succulent. Perfectly cooked. The pita bread was warm and fluffy. I also had a bite of the Kataifi Prawns. They were very delicious, that crunch of the pastry was just on point. <br/><br/>I fell in love with the Citrus Mango Menage a Trois shooter - I had 3. It is well worth a try. <br/><br/>Our waiter - Harold - was very friendly and attentive. <br/>

We just love Mythos...... and we have visited a number of them. Also very glad that we now have one close by. <br/><br/>The food is great!! Please sort out what is going on with your kitchen, food is taking FOREVER, waiters explained the delay and then the Manager (who did not even bother coming over himself) yells at waiter?? This has happened twice now, Dont know where you got this guy from but he needs to be retrained because the situation was uncomfortable. Unfortunate because the food is good and the location is great. Something needs to change though

Terrible experience with loud music and the food was very old and tough. <br/>Overpriced and poorly presented food. One of the people in the group had severe stomach pains all night

We eat there on Sunday afternoon, our order was kota dijan spaghetti, i was in the hospital yesterday for food poisoning, definitely the chicken was off

The food is really bad, took 35 minutes for basic seafood platter. The tzatziki tasted off and the pitas were rock hard. No flavor everything dripping in oil. Overpriced and completely underwhelming!

This places is hurting with birthing pains. I had to coach the waiter to look at me (which he did and i gave him a huge tip) BUT they gad no calamari! When asked when it will be in stock - they said later the day. I ordered the king prawns and that was up to standard but cold. The Moussaka was so cold my guest didn't even take a doggy bag! <br/><br/> I am a huge Mythos fan, but this needs a huge improvement.<br/><br/>All dishes about R10 more than other Mythos. <br/><br/>Handle with care - i can only hope this improves. They have the team, just not the spirit.
