Review Piza-e-vino - Pretoria

Ruben Brits
Not the first visit to this pizza gem, and can still say that it does not disappoint! A decent variety of menu options, but you honestly should be getting a pizza! The half-half share option is perfect for 2 people and not overly expensive! Our starters (gnocchi) took a while to come unfortunately, although well worth the wait! Overall a warm atmosphere and a nice place to be!

Visit 1: Nice atmosphere and friendly waiters. We had the Beef Boy and the Black On White pizzas and it was amazing! Really well made. We also ordered the Spaghetti Di Mare but this fell a bit short, could use more seasoning. All around a good experience. Would recommend! Visit 2: Great salads, great coffee.

There service was not that's great, we waited for a while before we got served but the food was great 👍. The atmosphere was very good as well. Anyone can come here for great Pizza and wine.

Went during the day and was nice and quiet. The food was wonderful, just a bit on the expensive side. The service was good and the staff very helpful. I just don't understand how their sizing works for pizza.

Tasty pasta and pizza. The Butternut and goats cheese ravioli was a nice flavor combo with the sweet butternut and salty cheese and sauce. This dish is small and could have done with some more pieces of ravioli. The pizzas were tasty, I liked the avocado on the pizzas. Maybe it’s the style of some of the pizzas but some of them were missing cheese or had so little that I couldn’t tell. The hot chocolate was very cool, I’ve never seen it before where you can stir the chocolate into hot milk to make the hot chocolate

This is a beautiful place. Very relaxing. The staff are friendly but a little absent once the order has been placed. We ordered one of the most expensive pizzas available, but I immediately noticed a lack of the one thing that makes it a pizza, CHEESE... I did ask the waitor, when paying the bill, to remind the pizza maker to add cheese next time. All friendly, but I will be back to see if they remembered at a later stage :)

Had such a wonderful time at the restaurant! It was my partner's birthday and the staff helped me to make it special by customizing his dessert with a message. They were so friendly, and overall the vibe was just amazing.

The pizzas were very tasty, good quality ingredients and well prepared, unfortunately the red wine was off and was actually warm which is not great. Service was ok but waiter asked us to pay the bill cos he needed to get home... Restaurant has nice decor and is neat and clean. So good points and bad! EDIT: May 2023, popped in there yesterday, had the chicken pesto gnocchi, was excellent! Portion was good and price is very reasonable. So a star added.

Wonderful place..... enjoyed my bowl salad.they made it just the way I asked.

We had a team function there and the service was great. They have a good variety to choose from. Yummy vegan and vegetarian combinations also available. They have a delicious cocktail and gin menu and some craft beers on tap. Pizza, pasta, burgers and loads of other dishes available but the best is the Pizza Lite options. Wheelchair friendly for both top and bottom floor. Will have to use the stairs in the restaurant or the shopping center lift to go to the top floor for a more romantic setting. Kid friendly food options and also one can sit close to the play area, to keep an eye on them. If you have dietary restrictions they will gladly assist. I have been going to this restaurant since they have opened up and highly recommend going here as the service, food and atmosphere is always memorable.

Top-notch! We came together as a family to surprise my sister for her birthday. We were a table of 16 and our waiter was phenomenal. Great service and friendly all around. Most of the table ordered the pizza and they loved it. I had one of the burgers and loved the fact that they were able to swap the beef for a chicken patty for my choice. The brownies were divine. They even came and sang for my sister too. Would recommend spending an evening here! 👌

Had one of rlthe best pizzas EVER over here ... if you go opt to sit outside on the patio where you can relax with your favourite beverage... SUPER FOR THOSE LATE AFTERNOON SUNDOWNERS . My only regret here was we never had the manager come over to the table so i could personally congratulate and thank him/her on the 5 star food and sevice we recieved on the day .... Thanks Piza ē Vino team , you are now my favourite pizza place .

Wow, what a great experience we had. We made a last-minute decision after our movie to grab dinner. 2 medium pizza's and something to drink for just R200 (Monday and Tuesday only). The staff was friendly and constantly checked in with us. It was a peaceful and romantic atmosphere with delicious pizza's. I would definitely recommend Pizza ē Vino @ Irene Mall. Thank you for a memorable experience.

The service was average, I don’t have any complaints there.

My friend ordered something off the starter menu and I had a main meal.
I really enjoyed my broccoli and chicken pasta, best i’ve had in a while. The broccoli was cooked to perfection and the white wine sauce was delicious.
However my friend’s food had too much garlic in it.

The decor could use some work, the furniture seems a bit worn out and old.
Went to Piza E Vino for pizza. The restaurant wasn’t too busy and we picked a seat in the winter sun. We perused the menu and opted for the Frutti Di Mare and James Brown. When the food arrived, the ingredients on the Frutti Di Mare were all over the place. Taste was bland. Very disappointed for such an expensive pizza. The James Brown on the other hand was good. Service was average.

Went here on a Friday night with my mom and boyfriend, the service was great and we didn’t wait long for our 2 pizzas or our drinks.
Their gin selection is fantastic and their pizza is always fresh and crispy
Definitely one of my favorite places and they never disappoint!
Michelle
The service from our waiter was great , the pizza was soggy , it could barely be picked up , what was promised as a balsamic glaze was everything but . I paid and then laid a complaint . The other pizza’s looked good , the small things really matter . Hope they fix it .

What a lively and lovey restaurant for a Wednesday evening! The waiters are friendly and of course the food is delicious. We had some pasta Aglio e Olio gluten free pasta and a James Brown pizza with a Berry Bellini and the Witchcraft House Beer. Be careful not to add too much chilli from the table to your food, it is a bit hot!
Juan Coetzee
We went there twice. Every time the waiter dropped us at the table, and forgot about us. We felt like pizza on the night but now settling for Burgers across the road

I absolutely love the ambience of the restaurant! The hanging plants and the South African and Italian flag made from wine bottles caught my eye. Our waiter was very friendly and was always around for me to shout for help. The food was amazing with many vegetarian options which could also easily be made vegan. Oh and their fresh chilli was amazing, loved every burn.

Best breakfast of 2018

We have just had our best breakfast of 2018. Both meals, the Breakfast Bolognese and the Piza e Vino Deluxe were outstanding.

The service was great too. Well worth the trip

I have been to a few Piza E Vino restaurants & this one is up there with the rest. The service is good & the waiters are friendly.

The pizza menu is awesome with lots of cool options... the variety is good & the toppings are different to the “usual” toppings you would get at other pizza places. The crust is also always good. My favourite pizza is the “Porky the Pig” but I have tried most of them & they are all pretty good.

The pasta menu is a bit more limited but offers the usuals. During my last visit I tried the carbonara. It was fine. The portion was a good size & there was a lot of bacon (which I LOVE!). For some reason there was a bit of a fishy taste which put me off a bit. My friend had a “half & half” pizza which was good & another friend tried the lasagne. This was ok, maybe just a little bit bland.

I would definitely go again for the pizza, you can’t go wrong with that!

The vibe here was great and they were very busy. we received great service with smiles all round and the turnaround time was quick. Had their black on white pizza which was delicious and thoroughly enjoyed it. was a chilly evening so ordered the hot chocolate which was served with real chocolate 😁 that I had to stir in and I loved it.

Went to Piza E Vino for a quick bite.
It was an okay experience.....service was good. Restaurant was filthy everything covered in dust.
Unfortunately only realized after ordering.
Ravioli was out so I ordered the Tagliatelle con Gamberi. Knowing very well yes prawns are expensive but should be a nice treat.
Unfortunately I received one med-small size prawn and 7 tiny (unseasoned) shrimp. Considering the price I expected a little bit more. Very disappointing.

Met a friend for a quick dinner and drinks. Waiter kept forgetting about us. Got my friends drink order wrong. He was super slow too. Don’t think we will go back.

This might just be our new favorite pizza spot! The pizza's are amazing and so tasteful. It's great that you don't rely on the cheese to make the pizza good - the flavors work so well!

We'll be back!
Richard Van Der Merwe
I have to say the cappuccino was excellent. And else is better than pizza on a rainy night. To be honest not the greatest pizza ever but definitely still worth it. Reception could have been a tad better.

I am really pleasantly surprised at how Piza E Vino has upped their game. Their new menu is awesome and I decided to order the pork rib-eye which was a bit tough but the flavours were awesome! Their James Brown Pizza also never disappoints!

Update... 14 October 2017
We decided to go to Piza E Vino for their dark chocolate fondant and were disappointed. There was no moist goodness in the middle but was rather a normal cake, which was warm. Lowering the score to 3.5.

What a lovely meal had at Piza E Vino on a rainy day! I had the tagliatelle pasta with deboned oxtail pieces and my boyfriend had a calzone with meatballs, chilli and mozzarella! - Score of 4
Greta
So disappointed to have received my pizza with half the toppings missing, dry base and bland chicken.
There is nothing worse than waiting for your food with such excitement only to be disappointed.

Was not expecting that from a place known for its pizza.

This Cannelloni!!! OMG.

And Duncan the waiter is so caring and attentive. The vibe is relaxed and the service splendid. I heartily recommend this spot for hungry people

Delicious dinner with the inlaws. Forcaccia was perfect and delicious. Pastas were perfectly portioned and full of flavor. Sadly they don't have a big selection of pastas for the less adventurous eaters as most of the pastas have different ingredients than the usual.

Girls night out was a raging success! The restaurant has a very good selection of wines and the sangria was delicious. I opted for something other than pizza, which is always a risk when one is eating at a pizzeria, but I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty and filling the chicken and peppadew salad was. The only critique I do have, however, is that the service could have been a smidge better.

We wanted to celebrate my new job after being job-less for 2 months and budget being tight --- we haven't been eating out much so anticipated a casual classy Italian - needless to say - major disappointment. They don't have bubbles per glass nor Hunters Gold --- The waiter was unkept, he didn't bother bringing us an extra class for our carafe of wine nor an extra plate after explicitly indicating we're sharing. He ordered the wrong half pizza (we went 50/50) and then "fixed" it by just brining us the correct pizza's ingredients in little bowls --- he finally proceeded to conveniently add an extra R5 onto the tip when we paid him. My husband didn't want to make a scene but i believe it's downright dishonest. Worst part is out digestive systems have been in an uproar from eating the meal --- Do yourself a favour - DON'T go there!!!

Where to begin. We drove all the way from Boksburg to come try this place. Thinking that it prides itself on being Italian, we ordered pasta and a focacia as a starter, which wasn't too bad. The margarita cocktail was in a tiny glass and very bitter with no salt on the rim. We couldn't order a cosmopolitan, a Miller's or Richelieu. My pasta was basically spaghetti with olive oil, lots of olive oil. Also didn't have the option of choosing my type of pasta, and the table next to us did. Hubby ordered the lasagna, which he almost always does at restaurants, so he knows his lasagne, and it was literally inedible; the tiniest portion that looked like the ready made food at Spar, without even tasting half as good. After complaining to the manager, which we never do, his meal was replaced by the carbonara, which wasn't anything special but could at least be eaten. Our waiter was quite arrogant and we had to look around for him often. The manager did apologise and promised to get our details but was nowhere to be seen after. We have never had such a bad experience at a restaurant, especially one we looked forward to dining at.
There are (at least) two mayor factors that comes into play when dining out. Service and Food. Lets get the bad news out if the way The service is terrible!

I thought that Maybe we got off on the wrong foot, but do not serve me a R58 cocktail in a half full glass, and when i query it tell me the manager is aware of it - but nothing happens. Why do i have to wait 10 min for a bottle of wine in a 1/3 full restaurant. Why oh why do i have to wave like a lunatic before I get service?? And twice via the manager. You have a mayor problem.

The Food. Now this is strange the food was brilliant. I had 1/2 stella and 1/2 porky pizza and it was really good. (R120)The aubergine was brilliant. (R69) the coffee mediocre. again.

I just cannot rate this place any higher even if the good was good.

You will not survive a centre upgrade if there is anybody that serve pizza is your service don't improve.

Take a chance on the bad service or rather go to another place.

Beautiful decor, very nice vibe. The staff are really friendly and helpful.

The food is really very good and there are plenty of drinks to choose from.

Unfortunately they were let down by the speed of food preparation. Waiting more than an hour for food is unacceptable. The restaurant was quite busy (probably at 80%) capacity, so hopefully this isn't always the case.

I would recommend this restaurant, but make sure you have plenty of time on your hands to enjoy the experience.

So disappointing, the food and service were disgusting, it took close on two hours to arrive, half of the food order (the kids meals) were not even placed with the kitchen and these were ordered 1st. The adult meals were completely wrong with ingredients missing on both the pizza and the salad. It felt like the approach was don't tell the customers and just maybe they won't notice. The waitress was terrible and we later found out there were regular complaints about her, the manager stated he was going straight to fire her but 15 minutes later she was back trying to serve us, the pizza must have gone back three times and eventually my wife gave up. Yes, three and a half hours later the manager took full responsibility and gave us the meal on the house. Also the salt holder exploded all over the wife's pizza. That was however not the point and I will never get those four wasted hours back, nor will I ever set food in the restaurant again, possibly any of their other joints-my opinion Is avoid at all costs

Dissatisfied, disappointed and almost depressed. That's how I feel. I wanted this to be a great weekday night out with the wife. The meal was dismal.

We ordered gambieri fritti I.e. tempura prawns. R 60 and there were 2.5 of them. Not 3, 2.5.

Then the pizza parmigiana, that was ok, quite oily. Then the black mushroom pizza was scarily sour and salty. Overdose of bad feta and olives.

All in all, this place does not deserve a 3.9 rating. One positive is that we can pay with #Zapper.

A well deserved 4.5 for the great breakfast special that comes with a free cappucino. The Powa Breakfast at R36 comes with your choice of bread, any type of egg, avo and feta cheese which was simply delicious. The three egg omelette is R26 with R8 per extra filling added which is very reasonable. A breakfast for 3 with cappucinos came to a bill of R118 which is very decent in my opinion - the soecial knocks about R60 off the bill! The atmosphere is lovely, service is friendly and fast, and the food really is very tasty. The full pizza & pasta menu is also available in the mornings. The view over the Irene Mall water feature allows your children to play while you relax. Also, to be noted - the last Wednesday of every month 6pm-9pm they have live music, we'll definitely be back for a pizza & entertainment then!

Unfortunately this Piza E Vino doesn't quite meet the standards set by the one in Rosebank.

From the moment my boyfriend and I walked in I felt quite uncomfortable. The staff were just looking at us rather than helping us. We made our way upstairs to join the rest of our party. We had actually already had dinner but their focaccias just looked so good that I had to order one. There was quite a lot of garlic on it and I don't easily say that but it was still delicious.

Our service up to the end of the night was okay, we were a big table so I could understand the small issues. However at the end of the night after we requested our bill the waitress told as that they can only accept cash. How do you allow a table of 20 people to eat and drink for a couple of hours before telling that none of the card machines are working. My friend offered to pay the bill with her snapscan except they didn't deduct the amount of the people who already left and paid. At least after some arguing they gave her the money back in cash.

I'm sad about the service but luckily the food was still up to scratch.

Cosy spot to have a lovely meal. Love the calzones. Really want to go back and try even more. Great spot to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine

This is an edited review: I originally had a rating of 1 star, due to bad experiences. I promised to change my rating when I feel the price of food corresponds to the quality of the food.
I was contacted by the manager of Piza E Vino, and the branch manager to enquire about my experience and rating. I was then invited to return to the Irene branch with a +1 if I wanted to take someone with, so I took my father..who also had a previous bad experience.

To be honest, I was hoping that the food will be as great as the service from the managers, and the pizza I had (Padrecino) exceeded my expectations! It was hands down the best pizza I had ever eaten at Piza E Vino. Same with my dad, he thoroughly enjoyed his meal, and our beers.

After the night the manager said the meal is on them, which I am very thankful for! I hope that the food will continue to be on that level, because it will rock everyone's tastebuds!

Thank you Piza E Vino for the great customer care! I will definitely return for another great pizza!

Great Pizza restaurant. Definitely the most interesting and flavourful pizza options I know of. Service is generally top notch. Beers on tap along with a good craft beer selection add to the variety on offer.

Very fast service. The sweet potato tots were amazing. The banting pizza base needs a little work to be crispy but it is great to have the option. Good service. The atmosphere is nice they mist just turn of the running LED lights on the big wine rack it looks tacky.

Such a wide array of pizzas..very unique! Loved the oxtail ragu calzone...the ambience and decor let's one forget you're in the middle of a mall. Loved it!

Disappointing experience. I have always loved coming to Piza e Vino and I was looking forward to having a coconut, apple and peach ice tea only to find out that it isn't on the menu anymore. Further more the Cinderella pizza has also been removed from the menu. I then ordered a Beef Boy pizza which was less than average. The crust was soggy and the pizza was bland. My friend and I then both ordered a canolli "gourmet milkshake". There was nothing gourmet about that kiddies sized, chunky and floury milkshake. I would've been much happier with a McDonald's milkshake for half the price than this pretentious milkshake that was far from anything gourmet. I suggest you relook your menu choices and focus on the attention to detail and love that goes into each. Your staff either needs more training or better recipes.

The fact that they cater for people with gluten allergies is a bonus, but then it is also delicious, what a combination. The service was friendly, the pizzas came out within ten minutes which felt like it wasn't freshly prepared, therefor I have to deduct a point. The wine was good, and the...

Nice experience. Not your ordinary pizza selection, some new and exiting flavors and toppings that we are not used to. Nice seating inside and some tasty gourmet shakes. Communication from waiter could've been better though.
Kyle
Good food, inadequate service. Food was tasty and if you're lucky to get a half decent waiter it would have been a better experience. In almost 2 hours the waiter only asked once if we needed refills for our drinks or wanted to order. Likely not to go back.

Nothing beats an evening of pizza and wine.

This Piza E Vino has that chilled ambiance to it, relaxing and just so chilled. Something plain and simple but full of surprises. We had a half and half, Margarita with feta, olives and chilli, and thee other half a James Brown without the bacon.. Boy did this go down. Of course a chilled glass of red merlot does justice to a meal like this..

Service however was a bit slow. But all in all a nice experience.
The Pretoria Explorer
I'm going to say that my love for pizza was reignited tonight. Had this amazing yet simple pizza, a magharita with chilli, feta and olives together with a glass of red merlot.. Most definitely needed. Aaaaaaah that crust cooked to perfection followed with a sip of wine. The service was pretty good too.. You know what I love is that when I eat at this place I can go for dessert to memory lane for frozen yoghurt and just walk upstairs for a movie. Ideal for a Sunday. You should try it sometime too 👌
I Love Pretoria
We visited Piza e Vino in Irene on Valentine's Day, and needless to say, it was packed to the brimm. Nevertheless, the service was amazing and the food great as always. Our delicious meal and wine was complemented by live music in the square and the bustling atmosphere really created a feeling of being on holiday.

We have been to Piza e Vino quite a few times and have never been disappointed by their food. Will definitely be going back for some fresh, oven-baked pizzas soon enough!
Frans Pretorius
Not your average pizza restaurant. Real pizza oven with unique pizza options to choose from and they've added new options to choose from since my last visit.

This Piza e Vino is situated in the irene mall right next to the fountain in the middle square. Surrounded by beautiful plain oak trees. Treat yourself, bring the kids to play on the upside down cow and in the fountains while you enjoy a glass of wine and good food.

The love of my life and I recently tried out Piza E Vino on date night. We had the James Brown and Porky The Pig Pizza. You can order a gluten free option for a bit of extra Randelas. We sat in an isolated spot that afforded us some time to catch-up and chat without any one eves dropping. Great ambience, I'm not going to say much about the service.
Chantelle Le Roux
Enjoyed a really tasty breakfast towards the end of last year from their new breakfast menu.

I chose the Viva La France french toast as I am very partial to egg-soaked fried bread! The french toast consisted of 2 slices of bread, nicely fried, some bacon, thyme coated cherry tomatoes and brie cheese topped with some wild rocket. The flavours complimented each other so well. The french toast, being average bread slices, were not lumps of bread that filled you up. The portion size was perfect without making one feel stuffed.

I highly recommend you try their whole breakfast menu, it looked delicious.

Overlooking the square, you can enjoy the great weather and watch the kiddies enjoying themselves in the water feature.
Marie
This is the perfect chill night out with good food & good wine type of place. We often have a glass of wine or even craft beer before the movies. And for a typical Sunday, Irene Village is the best place to be, especially with one of their delicious meal offerings.

Their Melrose Arch pizza with chicken & honey is delicious. Probably the Piza E Vino that does this the best. So much so that we are often disappointed elsewhere.

The location is prime right next to the movies.
Lizanne
Went for a late dinner so ordered a Mama's homestyle salad and shared a pizza. The salad didn't have much to it wanted a bit more brinjals because it lacked flavour. My friend had the Carbonara which was VERY tasty and the shared pizza was a Porky the pig. Pizza was satisfying. The meat lover on the other hand said it was good. All in all good dinner.
Jacorien De Ru
Great pizza, great selection of craft beer. They also have low-carb pizza's for the banting community... Definitely worth trying out.......

I like it!!!! Amazing atmosphere and a amazing bar to go good with the food. Will definitely be back soon. The waitress is very helpful. Perfect Saturday night
Joachim Mulder
We found the manager to be rude, their service is ridiculously slow, waiters not well informed and did not even notice us for 20 minutes!
We Will not go again!!!
Piza E Vino launched their brand new breakfast menu last week and Chantelle Le Roux and I dropped in to take it for a test drive.

It took us ages to decide what to have because all the options sounded deliciously scrumptious. So while pondering the options we sipped on some cappuccinos and argued the pros and cons of each dish. Finally I settled on the Carpe Diem: sautéed spinach, devilled mushrooms & two poached eggs on top of fresh turkish bread. Chantelle chose the Viva La France and I was envious!

The poached eggs were done well but the spinach and mushrooms a bit on the less-than-warm side. Other than that, a perfect combination and breakfast option. Especially for the more health-conscious or non-bacon-eater.

I will definitely be back to try some of the other options. I found the portion-sizes perfect for the price and I do love a good cappuccino.

We regularly pop into Piza E Vino for their delicious wood-fired pizzas and sitting outside under the trees watching the world go by is a perfect weekend activity (or pit-stop during a shopping spree.)

Thank you Piza E Vino, we'll be back for some more mouthwatering brekkies!

Good food & quick service. Had the Ruco which had rocket & shaved parmasen. Really good. Atmosphere was pleasantly surprising for a Sunday night

Perfect location for people watching. After we have finished watching our movie, we were drawn in by this restaurant, mainly because of the decor and vibe coming from the upper level of the restaurant which we walked past after the movie.

We only had time for a quick drink, since we had dinner reservations at another restaurant. We sat down outside, I had a glass of wine and my husband enjoyed a gin and tonic.

The atmosphere is lovely under the trees in the summer afternoon. People were relaxing and eating, parents were watching their children play in the little waterfalls. We watched the people walking past which is always enjoyable. I would definitely return to this restaurant for a bite to eat.

Went to Pizza eVino in Irene expecting the same high level standard of service we are used to being delivered by Waterkloof. Unfortunately this did not materialize 😐.

The food was still good though and the venue is located very well for being in a mall.

Will not necessarily return with so many other good places to go. 😕

For a franchise restaurant they are very good. Clean, good food, nice atmosfeer. This one in particular has very nice furnishings. Their pizza are great and not too expensive.
Shae Leigh
Great specials. Friendly service. Tasty pizza. Good wine pairing suggestions and barmen that are willing to give a special order their best shot. Wifi is a bonus and their cocktails are pretty satisfying too. Lovely for a big get-together.

So happy to find a place that offers paleo bases...and the fact that there pizzas are so divine makes it even better! Great vibe, great food!
Stash Van Der Spuy
Came for lunch, greeted warmly. 1st steak overcooked. But the 2nd.....WOW! Cooked perfectly! Chef came to ensure cooked right. Good experience. Pizza seems to not be the only thing they do well!
Shanie Corrigan
Perfect place to have a drink with a few friends while enjoying the superb pizza 🍕 or even a fresh salad for the weight watchers. The vibe is great and so is the service. I would definitely recommend giving it a try

Huge let down. Very surprised that this has a 4.0 average rating.
When we arrived there, the hostess and manager were quite uninviting and eventually took us to our seats by the passage way and near a dustbin. Possibly the worst seats in the house even though we booked!? Seems like the new thing to do for restaurants.
Food was average. Menu was dull (Took a gamble on not taking a look at the menu before I went).
Overall, a below average experience.
Courtney Clough
Had dinner there, service by the managers was very sloppy and unenthusiastic, basically had to ask to have dinner there. After making a booking, we were placed in a small corner. The food was not as superb as it seemed a while ago, and there were 5 items on the dessert menu, none which seemed appealing at all!
On the upside, the sangria was excellent!
Frikkie Gous
Pleasant evening with family at Piza E Vino. Good food, good wine, fantastic variety of craft beers. Meals were tasty and well prepared. Waiters well trained and friendly. Fantastic and lively vibe at the restaurant.
Madelein Pardau
Pizza e vino is the place to go if you want a large variety of great and unique pizza choices! The vibe is always good and all the outlets I've been to boast sensational decor. Modern italian eating at its best. We were also surprised by the great selection of craft beers!
Desiré Julyan
An average meal out at a quality meal price. Art decor is something else and visually stimulating. It gives you that real posh café feeling. Interesting pizza toppings and ideas on their menu and classic wooden boards used to serve pizzas on.
Esther-Louise Janse Van Rensburg
Always a good idea on a Saturday night! Together with the awesome vibe, wine list and off corse their wonderful pizzas you can't go wrong. The James Brown and Zucco (vegetarian) was the best of the day!
Willem Du Plessis
Great place for a craft beer or good wine. They now have the 3 Fransen Street beers on tap. Cozy place with good service and a nice calm vibe.

I've been here quite a few times, and enjoyed it on every occasion. Although people mostly come here for the pizza, the pasta is great too.

On my latest visit I had a pasta meal, the name of which currently escapes me. This is what it consisted of: muscles, aubergines, white wine sauce, and tomatoes. Sounds good right? And it was. The sause was amazing, all the flavours complimented each other quite nicely.

The unfortunate bit was that it was 99% aubergine and 1% muscles. That being said, let's face it, most restaurants do this. Thing is that isn't unique to the pasta meal I had, a lot of people do generally complain that this place is stingy on the meat sometimes.

Besides that, everything was great! No complaints. The drinks are awesome too. Try the cocktails, the craft beer or the wine (duh), you shouldn't be left disappointed. Very good selection :)

The service could be a bit sharper I guess, but it was above average.

In conclusion, please visit if you're in mood for a decent pasta or a pizza :)

So here are my ratings:
Decor: 5/5.
Atmosphere: 4/5.
Food: 3/5.
Service: 3/5.
Drinks: 4/5.
Awesome restaurant. Service is excellent. Food is superb. Good wine-list. Been here a couple of times and never disappointed. Monday/Tuesday night is really a bargain - any other night is still good value for money!

Fun place!! For a franchise, these guys have managed to keep an original flavour- in décor and in food. The pizzas are amazing, the vibe is great. If you don't know where to eat on a Saturday night, this is a really great option

Great place for a quick bite to eat before going to the movies or for a casual and laid-back meal with friends. Their house wines are affordable and easy to drink, and complement almost all the pizzas. Not in the mood for Italian? Then try their hamburger!

PizaEVino is one of those places that constantly gives good service and food. Had a family evening the other day and as it go with "families" they test the service and food to the limit.
The Ribeye steak is recommended. The pasta was hearty and the pizza's as good as ever. The youngsters ordered a half and half with this weird and wonder fillings and they received exactly what they ordered.
Always a great eating experience when visiting Piza E Vino.
Food as good as ever, risotto perfect, though I'm not sure about the cold mushrooms on the wild mushroom crostini (personal preference, I'd rather have them warm so if that's how they are served, I'll pass in the future) extra points for giving me an alternative to the sold out special I requested. Service a tad on the slow side with wine arriving half way through our main and disappointingly no manager came to check on our food.

Absolutely amazing pizza! We had a great time and awesome cocktails, it would be great to have more of a craft beer variety. All in all an amazing experience though.

Best pizza franchise by far - always good. Service a bit slow over weekends. I would return any day. Strawberry Sangria always a winner to order!

Best pizza and pasta in Centurion!

Really pleasant experience! Went on a Saturday for lunch and even though it was busy, the service was excellent. Loved the original pizza selections, mine was delicious. The only thing that kept them from full marks was their Mojito (not that great). #zomatovalentine

It was Friday evening with the Irene xmas market on the square. E Vino was busy! But the service and food was excellent!! Could not believe what we got. Well done to management and waiters!! And on top of that service was with a smile. One of our favourites! Well done keep it up!
Shocking service, food was cold when it arrived. The spinach balls were full of sand and terrible. Will never be back, only good thing was they didnt charge for the meal.
