Taste of Greece, situated in a hub of creativity, this wonderful little place stands out. A top floor restaurant with top class meals and incredibly helpful and friendly staff. Had a small dinner with my fiancee there and we had an unforgettable time, with a nice atmosphere and some delicious food, I'd certainly say to give this place a try. We loved making our own little platter of pickings but you are welcome to order a pre made platter, or indulge in their mains. We will definitely be heading there again, and I simply cannot wait!

I actually really liked this place. Sat upstairs in smoking section. It's chilled, plays some cool pop and has wide selection of alcohol. Just a bit pricey for average tasting food. The food is not bad but not really worth the cost.

Taste of Greece is small & unassuming, in a very trendy neighborhood. Having eaten there three times, the food is magnificent, well prepared, with amazing flavours and never feels mass produced. The menu is just right, and also well priced. My mom had the slow-cooked lamb last night - said it’s the best she’s ever had! I had a few things including a brinjal starter- to die for!

We visited Taste of Greece for a Bachelorette party and it was great. All the food was flavourful and the cocktails were delicious. Parking is just an issue but you'd be able to say the same for all the restaurants at the Village.

Great food. Great service and atmosphere. Our bill total was R210 for 2 people and we had awesome greek pie starters as well! It’s a GREEK restaurant so don’t expect a diverse menu with mainstream food, seriously.. then you should rather go to your local boring spur!🙄😂

Fantastic food and attentive humourous waitress. The deck is perfect for a cool chill. My companion is vegetarian and we were both well satiated

The atmosphere is great for a night out. The food is delicious and inexpensive. It's situation within the other restaurants and little places gives it a feeling of a hidden treasure.

Great Mediterranean/Greek restaurant in Hazelwood. I had a lamb shawarma and my business partner the spaghetti. The food was great and the service very good. Highly recommended.

Amazing food made my fun and friendly Greek people.

Would have given a 1 star but the cocktails were excellent.
Not value, and not fine dining to pay these amounts for so little.
Ordered meze ~R300, and one plate pitched up. We've calculated the sausage rand-per-cm to be around R10 (R50 for 5cm of sausage).
The table next to us also had something to say about the portion sizes when their baklava came to their table - guy prodded it with his pinky for dramatic effect.

Having a restaurant in Hazelwood be a at 20% capacity a week after payday is definitely telling.

Fool me once.

Colourful interior and extensive menu. We had a meze platter for two, which turned out to be a lot of food. Deliciously prepared. In our search for the world‘s best skordalia, I’m afraid it’s still on

So I had a spinach pie and a frappe on a hot Sunday morning which brought back memories of Greek summer. The restaurant is small, intimate and plays traditional music. You really feel that you are in a little taverna on the beach. All that is missing is the beach. Worth it.

Best ice coffee I have ever had! It is the owners very own recipe. Platters are super tasty! I love the ambience and the friendliness of the owners and staff!

We went to Taste of Greece for the first time and were pleasantly surprised.

Very typical to what we have seen in Europe before and it works. The food was really tasty, well prepared and presented.

Personal touch is key at this establishment.

We will be back. ☺️

Came here while I was in a bad mood and it perked me right up. The vibe does make you feel like you're in the middle of Greece, and the owner is so nice and willing to chat. The food is amazing, authentic Greek food that is affordable and delicious.

Cozy little gem of a restaurant! Friendly service, a great menu and a small deli section. Perfect for summer lunches on the deck & very affordable. A little piece of Greece in The Village.

Terrible value for money- 60 bux for one measly skewer of lamb... the salads are terrible... drinks are served warm... the seating is so awful... our backs are sore!!! DONT EVER COME HERE !!!

The staff were friendly. Food was good (just that the tzatziki could have had a little more yoghurt) and reasonably priced. Would i go there again? For a quick lunch, not dinner.

Nothing better than catching up with friends over a delicious meal. Sitting out on the porch, in the sun and drinking a homemade lemonade - perfection.
Reasonably priced and incredibly delicious food.

Great experience at the new Taste of Greece. Lovely atmosphere on the balcony. The food was simple and delicious. I shared a platter to get a taste of several things. My favorite was the lamb skewer.. absolutely delicious. The staff were kind and friendly. Great experience.

Wonderful place! Truly a "Taste of Greece"! Lovely Gyro's and dessert was SO tasty! Best Baklava I've ever had! Was the most authentic halloumi that we have tasted outside of Greece!

Taste of Greece is an unasuming street cafe in an unasuming strip mall in Lynwood Rd but that's where the ordinariness ends! The food is extraordinary good.
Pita with Keftedes and diced fresh tomato, onion, parsley and cucumber. I added extra creamy homemade Tzatziki.
Authentic Greek cooking with an owner who looks the part. Friendly & efficient service.
The crown of the meal goes to the dessert - a perfect pana cotta with berry coulis - I was delighted to say the least. Please go try for yourself.
At the moment only light meals and meze available. They plan to introduce a hot meal of the day soon.

Yeah so it was my very first time trying out Greek food, luckily I had a resident foodie (Divine Rakau) to help me know what's what. The food wasn't bad, just a little on the bitter side of life, especially the dolmades. My favorite foods from the platter were the smoke ham and meatballs, they were cooked just right.
Divine Rakau
I had a taste of Greece and it left a bitter after taste. This basically reaffirmed my notion that I don't really care much for Greek food, everything was well cooked but it was just not to my palate. It does however give a very authentic feel of Greece which slightly interrupted by the peak hour traffic that the thing restaurants that have street interface. I do however like that the have a variation of Greek foods available for purchase. We were also not sure weather to sit ourselves or wait to be seated and the wait for the food was rather long.

With Ropafadzochiradza

Little Greece in Pretoria. Souvlakia were quite good and the place is owner managed so you get the full Greek experience. They also have a little shop with all sorts of imported stuff from Greece/ Cyprus. Will definitely pop in again on my next trip to Pretoria.

This is an authentic Greek experience! The owner is always friendly and ready to chat with you as you wait for the freshly made food. While the menu is limited they stick to what they know and I have yet to be disappointed. I enjoy the fact that the pavement cafe' doubles as a little Greek grocery store where you can buy olives, feta, pita bread and a variety of other Greek tidbits. I love the pita's - make sure you ask for some Tzatziki - and end off your meal with a homemade baklava.

Really enjoyed eating at Taste Of Greece. Good service and friendly staff, it is owner operated. The food was good and it has a nice sidewalk atmosphere. The menu is simple. I am not sure if they have a liqour licence, take your own bottle of wine...

Charming hidden gem in the Hatfield area. Staff is friendly and one can even buy a few products for your own food cupboard while waiting for the food. There isn't much more to say other than that it's the real deal and budget friendly!

What a great authentic Greek experience. You feel as if you're in Greece at a pavement cafe.
Had the Sheftalia and Pork Pita which was very tasty. The whole place has a very comfortable and fantastic vibe which definitely comes with a family run business where the owner is always around and attentive. Will definitely be back for more....
