The destination for supper tonight was Spice Kitchen. Planned to go there a few months ago, but only had the opportunity to go there tonight. When we got there, we were shown to a vacant table and our waitress brought us something to snack on while we waited for our drinks. For mains, we opted for Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Korma, Butter Chicken and Tandoor Chicken Tikka pieces. Although the curries comes with rice, we ordered naan bread as well. We wanted to order lamb dishes, but unfortunately they were sold out. I was quite impressed with the aroma and flavours of the food. Tasty and tender chicken! Finished off with desserts (pistachio & litchi ice cream and a serving of mango something ice cream). All round good experience and will be back for more!

We lived around the corner from this gem in the East for over two years, when my wife discovered it. If you live in the East, like Indian cuisine and you have not been here, you are yet to live. The staff are warm and friendly and the food takes you to the seventh Heaven. Each mouthful, each dish is a unique taste explosion that has your attention from the start, and I am not only referring to the "Hurt-me-hot" degree of spiciness. Fast becoming our second kitchen.

I was extremely happy to find this place. Priced well and the food was delicious. I had the chicken korma mild with garlic naan bread and I couldn’t finish the whole portion.
The staff were very friendly as well and were very professional.
I will most definitely return.

A home away from home! Not only is it within the perfect price range for students, the portion size is ideal and the taste is out of this world.

The mint side offered with the poppadom crisps was divine and compliments the mince samosas perfectly.

I’ve had many chicken tikka masalas and this was by far the best! Not forgetting the garlic naan 😍. My friend had her first experience of Indian food and has officially been converted! She had the biryani and dhall and has been raving about it for days!

Also, thanks for the amazing service 🙏🏽

As curry lovers we are always looking for new spots to experience this cuisine.

A Truly exceptional spot. Food was excellent. We had samosas(chicken) to start and they were delicious.

For mains we did the chicken korma and chicken tikka masala with Buter Naans. Both were execellent dishes. The Naans were fresh and crispy on the ends.

Well worth a try.

Love love love this place. Had their food twice and none of the dishes of mine or my company's were anything short of amazing. The meat they use is of really good quality. So far my favourite north indian restaurant. That being said, I was skeptical about tasting their bunny chows, but I did and it was fantastic!!! Finding a good bunny in Pretoria East has proven incredibly difficult. The only recommendation I have is to put potatoes in the lamb bunny - then it will be perfection. I give it a 4.5 and not a 5 because the service was a bit slow. The place was busy and very very understaffed. We weren't given serviettes to use and had to wait for a waiter for quite a while before asking. But if I  take the slow service out of the equation, it would be A 5.

Wowee!!!

Great little intimate Indian gem.

Wife and I have been wanting to try a more authentic Indian experience for a very long time. Something more than the average Samoosa or curry and rice. Spice Kitchen not only met our expectations but blew it right out of the park!

Cozy little tables with great lighting and ambience to enjoy a romantic night. Minutes after seated you get the most crispy and fresh sambal chips served with chutneys and atchar.

Service was friendly from the get go. Although slow at times when we needed new drinks or the table cleared of plates. Granted only two waiters were on duty and they did have a lot of walk-in customers for take-away orders.

Food was like nothing we ever experienced and it is perfectly clear that this chef understands spices, flavours and cooking methods.

Fresh and perfectly cooked cheese naan bread and stunning spicy bhaji kick started a culinary adventure.

My tandoori platter was wonderfully fragrant and spicy while the meat was as tender as you can wish for.

Wife had a briyani and it was delicious, fresh and perfectly cooked.

And the portion sizes were unreal. We both had a filling breakfast the next morning from our left overs. All at very very reasonable prices.

We are glad we tried the puddings. Although not something we would probably order again or try make ourselves it was a nice sweet and authentic way to finish off a great meal and evening.

It is unfortunate that they could not serve us an after dinner coffee as their machine was out of order and wife could not enjoy a milkshake due to out of stock ice cream. Otherwise this would easily have been a 5/5 score!

We often order curry take away from Spice, and we are never disappointed.

We love a good curry, and out of all of the indian cuisine options Spice has come out tops.

We decided to go for a sit down meal a few weeks ago too, and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was well presented, and delicious. We were also super impressed by the service of our waiter.

A little gem in Pretoria East. Will definitely be returning!

My Favourite Indian restaurant in Pretoria. I've been there a few times now and they keep me coming back. Their curries are authentic Indian cuisine not just curry made by an Indian. The menu is large and there will be something to your liking even if you don't like spicy food they have milder options. You can sit inside or outside with a huge open area outside which is great for a meal with friends. The food is brought on a candle stand to stay warm and is a great way to share different menu options with friends.

Had a girls dinner last night. It was my first time at Spice and it was good! It is a popular place and quite a few tables were reserved. I had the paneer korma which was delicious and not too rich as some curries tend to be. Our waiter Jayson was attentive and friendly. The portions are generous and well priced. Only thing was that my friend expected her curry to be more spicy as that is how she ordered it. Will definitely go back :)

Great food but unfortunately the service doesn't match.
We are always looking for places that serve great Indian food so you can imagine our delight in finding Spice.
The set up and decor is amazing.
The food was really great. I had the Paneer and green peas. We also tried out the lamb curry which was really done so well.
The unfortunate part was that the service was not delightful. The person assisting us was rude ,especially when there was a mix up with the order .

Amazing food as per usual at spice. I love Indian food and I love trying new places but spice never disappoints in quality and portion size. Today was no expectation. The location might give the wrong impression... So do yourself a favour and try them. A restaurant that proves location isn't everything. Well done.

Came here on a Tuesday date night, having had several bad Indian takeaway experiences from other places. Spice restored our faith in curry! It's a fairly typical Indian restaurant in terms of decor. But the menu is extensive and interesting with lots of good vegetarian options. The service is fantastic - Donald was attentive, funny and charming. The food was delicious - we had paneer matar and chicken khadai, with sides of paratha and sesame naan. Everything was delicious - smoky, spicy and interesting. The wine list was also well priced. We will be back - this is a great local spot!

Food was really good- i had the mixed tikka platter for two- with some cheese filled naan breads and i treated myself to some gajjar ka halwah (carrot pudding- which is tastier than it sounds) ... all the food was delicious and dare i use the much prostituted word "divine". my reason for not grading them a five was that i was seated outside in the cold front air... while i cant fault them for seating me there when i arrived as they had no tables available inside- they made no attempts to move me when many tables had become avail... and for that i grade them down...

That being said i will book a table in advance next time if i come back so as not to be seated in the cold...

My mom and I went to Spice this afternoon to satisfy a massive Indian food craving and in the hope of finding a yummy Indian restaurant to go to here in PTA.

I definitely wasn't disappointed. The decor of the restaurant is lovely, with comfortable chairs and lovely lanterns on the tables and ceiling. The staff are friendly and more than willing to help you if you have concerns about what to order.

We ordered the Malai Chicken Tikka as a starter which was enjoyable, however a piece of my chicken was completely raw. This saddened me a bit because I looked forward to this dish a lot and I feel that raw chicken is unacceptable. The thing about this dish that is surprising is that it comes on a warm cooking block that cooks your food while you eat it. This is always fun in a restaurant however the smell of the food cooking in front of me put me off the taste a bit. My mom thoroughly enjoyed this course though and is dying to go back for more.

Despite a rocky start to the meal, my main meal more than made up for the previous course. I ordered Butter Chicken and butter naan. WOW! This is one of the best butter chicken dishes I have ever had. It was flavoursome and light with the chicken well-cooked. I ordered mild as a way of testing out how hot the spicing would be and to say it's mild is an understatement. There was no bite to the food at all. This was nice and didn't stop me from loving this meal. I will definitely try a hotter option on my next trip. The rice and butter naan were cooked to perfection and I had trouble stopping myself from eating when my tummy was full.

My mom ordered the Navarattan Korma veggie curry which she liked, but found it a bit sweet for a main meal. Throughout the meal my mom had a couple rock shandies which she found delightful. They were the perfect combination of bitters and soda water.

I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the mood for Indian cuisine. It is a true delight and reasonably priced and, as I said before, I will most definitely be going back. ASAP.

Went here seeing the 4.4 review. Disappointed though. Great service and ambience. I saw a full Indian restaurant and felt happy. But the food let me down. Ordered chicken seekh kebab - though healthy somewhat it lacked taste. And this was the medium option. It was let's say kind of dead. A good seekh kebab feels alive in the mouth :) the little bits of mince separate and liberate some taste. This didn't have that. But it could also have to do with South Africa's poor chicken quality.

Very nice atmosphere, welcoming snacks on arrival with three sauces which was really nice. Portions are great for sharing on the table, we had the butter chicken and lamb corma and both were really good along with butter and garlic naan breads. Butter chicken changed my life!

I will certainly recommend this restaurant, great food and great value for money.

Thank you zomato for yet another lovely meet up

This was so lovely as Indian food generally resonated with the culture, large servings meant for families to dive into, our meetup was no exception to this. We where severed so much food all of it amazing though. My new favorite thing is curry shots, my favorite of the 3 we had was the cashew chicken. On the subject of chicken there was a lot of different chicken each prepared in such a warm hearty and delicious way, I felt spoiled for choice. I had to leave before dessert but I was completely stuff. So thankful for the warm hospitality and stunning food. This is such a good place for vegetarians.

Spice the Indian Kitchen was an experience that I will not soon forget. It’s a small intimate place with lots of character and that’s not even the half of it. My friends and I was fortunate enough to enjoy their tasting menu and man was I blown away.

The decor was tastefully done and tables were donned with lovely textures, colours and soft lighting. We were in for a treat.

We started with an assorted platter that arrived at our table, sizziling and filled with lovely chicken and veggies erupting with flavour. Following that we enjoyed Curry shots. Yes people Curry shots! Shot glasses with three different varieties of curry and with that starters was done. Mains consisted of beautifully prepared Butterchicken, Lamb Bhuna Gosht, Malai Kofta and an assortment of Naan breads. It was a decadent feast!

Desserts consisted of a mini platter of fried ice cream, chocolate samoosas and a traditional Safron rice pudding. The evening was an Indian delight. Make sure to have a chat with Bhuvan (the Manager) to explain in detail everything they are passionate about when it comes to Indian cuisine. Please go there, you will not be disappointed as the menu is reasonably priced and the food is a sure treat!

The 1st foodie meet up for 2017 was hosted by Spice Indian Kitchen. I was welcomed by this beautifully decorated restaurant in black and gold. A welcome drink was served and wine was poured before I even got to say my hellos. A three course meal was prepared for the foodies and we enjoyed every bite. Highlights were the cashew curry shot, the paneer sizzler and the malai kofta. My favourite dessert was the saffron rice pudding with pistachios. An awesome evening with great service.

I was invited the 1st 2017 meet up of the top 10 zomato foodies in Pretoria, at Spice Indian Kitchen. Finding the the place was slightly difficult but once we were there, it was just a pleasant surprise all the way.

We we greeted and offered welcome drinks on arrival a blend of rose water and lemonade..what a refreshing and uplifting drink. The decor made you feel as thou you were whisked away to magical rajasthani place with their stained glass lanterns hanging from the ceiling. Indian deities surrounded this mystical place.

The table setting was no less than a setting for a royal feast.
The evening started off with "curry shots" an extremely unique concept and packed  full of flavour, and the 1st of two delicious starters. Three shot glasses placed in front of us.. black lentils, lamb palak, and chicken korma all accompanied by mini naan, everything in this starter was perfect spice and flavours were so well complimented.

The second starter was and assorted platter... this was a sizzling fantasy... chicken kebabs, lamb sosatties and mushrooms.. and another platter filled with roasted chilli chicken kebabs. A veg platter filled with panneer and roasted peppers. This was a musical melody of flavours in your mouth.

Next the main course...3 decadent curries packed with aromatic spices and flavours. Butter chicken, Lamb Bhuna Gosht served in mini copper pots and Malai Kofta, these were all complimented by garlic and butter naan breads, as well as rice. These generous portions were so filling, "A feast fit for a king"

And whats a delicious Indian feast without some sweet Indian deserts. We were each presented with 3 different deserts- Indian Saffron rice pudding this was decadent and the flavour of the Saffron just came through so beautifully. Next we were served a chocolate samosa this was like a brownie stuffed samosa which was  just amazing and lastly a deep fried ice-cream. What and amazing end to such a beautiful evening. We ended the evening with a night cap, Chai latte beautiful is the only way to describe this warm and comforting drink.

It was a stunning evening with awesome foodies...Bhuvan

Spice - The Indian Kitchen is Situated in the Lynnridge mall, Lynwood Pretoria.

The location a bit hidden away, most gems are hidden after all.

As we walked in we where warmly greeted and served with welcome drinks, rose water infused lemonade, with a slice of lemon, it was so refreshing, we where off to a great start followed by some White wine, and some poppadums.

The Zomato team sat down and we all had our regular catchups, ready for the evening.

The table settle was beautiful and the chairs and beautiful lighting stood out for me, attention to details along with beautiful candles on the table to allow you to feel relaxed and ready to dine.

I tried the vegetarian curry shots, they where really awesome and something different, they varied from lentil shot to spinach one along with a cashew nut shot. they where topped with miniature naan breads, and beautifully presented on a tray, the generosity of portion sizes and special requirements for Pescatarian/ vegetarian palette where taken care of, a real bonus indeed!

Next on the menu, we where treated to flaming platters, smoking hot as they where brought to the table! That had to be a highlight of the evening!
I had the spicy chilli paneer, topped with peppers and tomato, and beautiful garnishes of beetroot and cabbage.

So the evening got better as the wine flowed, and of course some water in between.

Next up was the mains for the meat eaters they had a chance to sample the lamb Bhuna gosht, along with butter chicken.

I had a cauliflower with peas and potato curry, also know as Aloo Gobhi Matar. It was just right and flavorful accompanied with some delicious butter naan!
The naan was mouthwatering with my curry!

We chatted some more and it was time for dessert:

We where treated to 3 different desserts all to ourselves, we each received our own portion!
Indian Saffron Rice Pudding
This was lovely! Topper with nuts and elachi.
One is more than enough to share.

Fried ice cream
A lovely take on crispy and soft yet creamy texture all at once, I enjoyed this one!

Chocolate samosa
This was something different as it felt like a chocolate brownie, within a samosa casing.

Thanks so much for a wonderful experience!
Can't wait to return for my foodie fix.

Was a pleasure to attend the Zomato foodie meetup last night. At first I actually thought I was at the wrong location as the restaurant is hidden inside and there isn't proper signage to indicate it's there.

Nevertheless upon entering you can see the deco and ambiance is of a proper authentic Indian style with lanterns and few statues.

We were treated to a variety of curry shots with some naan bread, the chicken korma, lentils and another one to me which tasted a bit like cashews. The curry shots are something different and the portion sizes are good to give you a taste of what to expect.

Next we moved on to the starters and wow was I amazed! The portion sizes were so good I actually thought we were being served mains.

We were treated to a variety of sizzler platters, chicken, paneer and a mushroom platter. When the dish arrives you can see the steam and hear that sizzle, the flavours are just amazing! I really enjoyed the mushroom which had a sweet sour burst of flavour to it as well as the chicken which had that bit of a kick to it, I mean what's chicken in an Indian restaurant without some spice and a kick to it.

At this point in time I was so full from the starters and then came on the mains.

We had a butter chicken which I think was amazing! One of the best butter chickens I've had hey. Butter chicken accompanied with rice, butter and garlic naan.

We then had some lamb bhuna ghosht and some malai kofta which were delicious.

And of course what better way to end the evening by a small sweetening of the mouth. My ultimate favorite which took the cake for me was an Indian saffron rice pudding, the flavour and texture was just perfect for me! We then had a deep fried ice cream and a chocolate samosa with some cream. The chocolate samosa is more like a chocolate brownie in some samosa pur but super rich and decadent. If you've got a sweet tooth then this ones definitely for you.

Sum it up. Really amazing evening with the zomato foodies and had a really nice experience. The food was amazing and the company too good.

Will definitely be back to try out more things :)Nicole Melissa Brooks Divine Rakau Neeta Raga-D FoodiewhippedSA Elzane.vandermerwe

I attended a Zomato meetup at Spice yesterday. And we were treated with a real Indian food fest!

The decor is authentic Indian, with statues of some deities, stunning lanterns and traditional decorations, with modern stylish touches.

We had the opportunity to taste a wide variety of dishes. We had 2 starter courses, the first one was served as 'curry shots' - very innovative, mouthfuls of lamb, chicken and lentil curry served with mini naan bread. Truely delicious! My favorite was the chicken shot - that was chicken korma.

The second starter course was an assortment of chicken and veggie curries, on sizzling hot iron cast plates, served with great flair. I really enjoyed the paneer chili and roasted peppers. And if you don't enjoy hot food, let me just mention that the dishes was full of flavor and very tasty, but not so spicy burning that it numbs your taste buds!

And yes, ladies and gentlemen - we're not even halfway through!

Next up - the main dishes. Butter chicken, lamb bhuna gosht, malai kofta and delicious butter and garlic naan and basmati rice. It is difficult to choose a favorite, the butter chicken wins by a small margin!

And then... Desserts! Fried ice cream, chocolate samosa and Indian Saffron Rice Pudding. By this time I was close to falling over! LOL! The rice pudding is super sweet (like a decadent dessert should be) - but it was my favorite!

Finished off with the most divine chai tea!

Thanks for hosting us, I will definitely be back - will drag my Hubby with! I heard that the lunch menu has got some amazing bunny chows, so I would love to try it!

Zomato had there first top ten Meetup and I was invited. What an awesome experience. We had a three course meal that felt like five - we were so full when we left there. Nothing I had tonight was a disappointment. The Malai Kofta was my favourite. The curry shots were awesome as it gave us a taste of three different curries. For dessert we had fried ice cream, chocolate samosa as well as rice pudding. My favourite was the rice pudding, the chocolate samosa is a bit rich and would be much better if the chocolate was runny when you bite into it.
This place is a winner and I will most certainly return.

Returned today with family,12th March, looking forward to having the Malai Kofta to my disappointment that it was only made for the zomato Meetup and was not on the menu. I was told it's too much trouble to make. What a pity.i tried the buffer ice cream dor dessert as well as the dumplings, the ice cream was really nice but the dumplings too sweet for me.

It's always hard to find good authentic indian food in Pretoria. This place was such a pleasant surprise and I will definitely be going back here. Poppadoms with sauces was put on the table while we were inspecting the menu. The menu has a lot of variety and we ended up ordering a lamb bunny and tandoori chicken. By far the best tandoori that I have had and the boneless lamb bunny was not running far behind. The lamb was so soft and full of flavour and so was the chicken. They make effort to ensure your food stays warm at the table e.g tandoori came out on a hot grill pan/plate and the rotti is wrapped tightly in foil untill you ready to eat it. The food is displayed and served beautifully.

During my stay in Pretoria, I found it a difficult experience to get good vegetarian food. This was until I found Spice- The Indian Kitchen.
I usually ordered for dinner many times. Items like Paneer Makhani, Aloo Gobi Matar along with Naan or Tandoori roti. The food is very good and spicy, just the way I like it.

Just one suggestion, keep the oil in food a bit less.

Way to go, guys...Keep up the good work.

Wow! One of the best Indian Restaurants I've been to in Pretoria.

Delicious, flavourful, spicy food. Friendly service without being annoying.

Love the decor and the music brings the whole experience together.

Justin was our excellent waiter.

Definitely will be back.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our curries. They were all delicious and extremely tasty. Probably the most authentic curry I've tasted in pretoria! A must try!

Went for lunch at this eatery today and had a superb experience. Let me start with the service: we had Justin serving us and it felt like having the owner treating you to something special ( and he is just the waiter!). We tried every dish he recommended and it worked like charm. The food is simply sublime, beautifully presented and really well priced. Best of all: they don't have a liquer lisence, so you can take your own wine! Go visit this place, now!!!!! I wish I could give them more than 5 out of 5.

What a great new find this place is. One of the better Indian restaurants in the East. The food was delicious and well priced. The chicken tikka masala is melt in your mouth and the garlic naan bread plentiful and well priced. We had an excellent waiter. He really went out of his way with the kids. Thank you Jason. Definately be visiting there again.

The new Spice in East. By far my most favourite Indian restaurant in Pretoria, with their elegant decor, classy service and food as hot as the entertainment. Well done Spice! You have surpass all my expectations, thank you.

It was my 3rd visit to Spice on saturday evening. Its always been an experience in itself. It was the belly dance evening. Everyone enjoyed the performance. The ambiance is so cozy, feels nice and warm to eat there. I ordered Lamb Korma, which was made to perfection. Lamb was tender enough and the sauce was authentic. Aloo Gobi was very nice. Naan bread was neither too thick nor thin ,just the right amount of dough for the amazing taste. The mango chilli ice cream was the perfect end to the meal. I am looking forward to the chocolate samosas that they are introducing soon, sounds very innovative. I met one of the owners, who recently came from India, was very warm, cordial and informative about the Indian food. I cant wait to go there again.

We were looking for a nice place for dinner one Sunday evening when we decided to try out the newly opened Spice. The service was truly exceptional and the decor gorgeous. We got poppadums to try with a few of their homemade toppings. They have a wide variety of vegetarian options and you can choose whether you want your curry mild, medium, hot or extra hot. Our food was also amazing and the portions were massive for the reasonable price. I can't wait to visit again!

So happy this place has popped up in Lynwood. Delicious dishes. Butter chicken and korma are delish. They deliver for free and have card machine facilities. Very friendly and helpful. Hope everyone in the area supports them.

This cute new venue in the recently renovated Lynnridge Mall surprised us!

The decor contribute to the Indian theme and is nicely done. The ambience is quite cosy and cheerful.

The samosas were flavorful and the presentation was good. They have large variety of mains with something for everyone (even us 😝). Portion sizes are good.

As an added bonus we were treated to a display of Belly dancing. She was really good and we had an opportunity to try it as well 😳😳. The interaction with the patrons was very professional but friendly.

Unfortunately the service was a bit slow, but they were very busy.

Definitely worth a re-visit 😄

The re-visit happened 😁😁 with a Zomato foodie.

Really still an incredible little gem!! The food is awesome and the service impeccable!

I love everything about this restaurant - the service (friendly, helpful and efficient), the location (centrally located and easily accessible), the atmosphere (relaxed, but intimate, dining). What sets Spice apart though is their amazing food. They have the best butter chicken and lamb korma that I've had in Pretoria - and the most reasonably priced! The curries are fragrant and flavoursome, with good quality, tender cuts of meat. Portions are sizeable and they don't skimp on the meat or sauce.

I've been there three times in the past week - I think that says it all!

We had a wonderful lunch at the spice Kitchen Lynwood on the 25th of February 2023. We were welcomed by a friendly gentleman and promptly shown to our choice of table. The restaurant had only 3 other diners at that early hour so we were spoiled with choice of seating. The waitress was kind and patient as we took our time studying the menu and asking questions about the great variety of dishes. Having some elementary knowledge of Indian cuisine I trick questioned her on some of the menu items and she patiently replied all our questions with accurate perception. It was duely noted that she was adequately trained and had an extensive knowledge of the products she was promoting. Her recommendations was spot on. My husband ordered a full tandoori chicken with an unapologetic portion of fries. I ordered the chicken biryani and a Latcha paratha for us to share. The drinks ordered was served promptly and the wait for our food order was within an acceptable time frame, just enough to inspect the decor and ambience of the overall restaurant which was, to be brutally honest a little questionable. Enough said. When the food was served it arrived at the table with an entourage of servers. The chicken still sizzling on the hot cast iron plate. The explosion of aroma filled the space between us on the table as a feast was laid out before us. The tandoori chicken was divinely soft and velvety in texture. The flavour profile pure authenticity. Fries chrispy and well seasoned. The paratha was unbelievable! Obviously freshly prepared, it was flaky and melted in my mouth. My biryani was colourful and well flavoured. I didn't mind the "cheap oil" as someone else mentioned in a previous review. If I would add my constructive opinion, I would like to mention that the accompanying condiments, like the mint chutney and the "atchar" was inadequate and not generous at all. Especially when it is such an exquisite tasting Atchar. On our next visit we will be asking for a replenishment without being ashamed. Because of the generous portions of food we only shared a Mango Lassi for desert. Which I haven't had ever before. It tasted of fresh mango not chemical colours and flavourings. It was refreshing and not overly sweet, something I will definitely order again. The menu is quite extensive and we only had dishes that we were familiar with. We would most definitely like to visit again in the future and experience something more adventurous because of the positive experience we had on our first visit. Thank you for the wonderful meal and friendly experience.

Oh wow! I am glad I finally gave this restaurant a chance. This is the best chana masala I have had. It just replaced my former favourite restaurant. Beautiful! Thank you for a great meal. If I did sit down, I would have complemented you in person.

I ordered a takeout for the first time from this restaurant and it did not disappoint! The food arrived so hot and freshly cooked. I ordered the curry chicken which came with some rice and a chicken biryani with garlic naan and some roti. The flavors of the chicken curry was scrumptious. I couldn’t help but go in for seconds (it was a very nicely structured curry). The chicken biryani isn’t as traditional as I normally have it but still very tasty and colorful! Ultimately, I will definitely be ordering from here again.

The food was amazing. And the way they serve it promotes sharing and tasting between the guests at the table. Atmosphere is a little one dimensional. Lights are too bright. But there is music. But it's kinda what you expect from a small non western restaurant like that. It's noticable but at the same time adds to the charm. Service was good but not brilliant. We celebrated and the allowed corkage for a fancy bottle of wine. Although I didn't look what the price was. All round a lovely evening. We will most definately be returning.

It was really nice here. The food is presented remarkably and the portions are more than expected. We had a truely nice dining in experience. The smell inside was nice and spicy. For the technical side: 1. Portion for he price was very good and the food was very tasty. ("Medium" hot is quite spicy, I'll relate it to the same "hotness" as Tabasco, not for sensitive tastebuds.) 2. Our waiter knew the menu well, was kind and was always available if looking to call him and he also made occasional rounds to make sure we had all we wanted. 3. The tables are nice and spacious, seats are cushioned and easy to move. 4. It was not busy at the time (+-15h00 on a Tuesday). 5. It was clean and wel kept. 6. Take-away containers where supplied on request and brought to the table so that we can pack and leave what we wished. 7. There are bathrooms next door that belong to the mall and they where clean. I would highly recommend that anyone who loves good portions, spicy and flavourful food come here atleast once! 5/5 Stars. Will definately come again to eat another dish and will rate again of I do.

Very nice Indian cuisine location in pta that always tries to be authentic with all menu items. I personally am addicted to Chicken Korma....and so far this the only restaurant in my surrounding area that prepares it properly.....the garlic naan bread always made super good too. Good place for celebration dinners since they do best to meet customer requirements for that nice cosy place to sit an enjoy a meal with your partner. Place is super popular with pretoria locals especially those living around that Lynwood Road areas near the complex. Tables always get fully booked for special date night like valentines day 🌹an so on So book in advance on those big nights else you your only option will be a take away for home dinning which is also not bad as the food is the star of the show an to me....doesn't matter where I'm eating it. Always enjoy the heart meals they prepare....but don't play with fire if you. Ot good with hot stuff🌶️🔥🔥 Play it safe first if you not confident on handling the spicy stuff cause they really don't play games with hot 🔥🥵 orders an such. Literally find freshly chopped green chilli added in a very generous portion. And it really is fire.....don't even want to attempt extra hot. Stick to mild or less first time then get start experimenting once you got a rough idea. Choosing before you know the lvl of heat....could make you not want to eat even though it's super tasty.

Absolutely love it ! I suggest ordering a few things and splitting between the tables. All the dishes are honestly delicious! I have tasted: chicken Kadai, tikka masala, Korma and original curry. Highly recommend!! Big portions so big enough for 2 meals per dish.

Needs a little bit of maintenance. The food was great though and affordable. Naan was a little stale and all good needed to be prepared to be much more fresh.
