Rating a franchise is always hard because there is usually no way to distinguish one store from another. And the same applies to this Mugg and Bean. It's like all the others, clean, comfortable seating and adequately busy. The menu options are diverse both in type and in taste although I'm happy to say they don't have too many vegetarians. Don't you just have vegetarians, snooty, boring, and not always well informed about vegetarianism. Life's one ironies is when vegetarians get sick.....but I digress! Sorry. The restaurant is well lit, and we'll staffed. I cannot complain about the service and would recommend it for a nice weekend breakfast or lunch. I've never through about having dinner at Mugg & Bean but I'd imagine the dinner options are fine if not imaginative. Be warned though, this restaurant is in Pretoria East, a place that seems to receive sour milk through its taps instead of water. The natives are not always friendly looking.

Fresh food, clean store. Great place to go and push a bit of office work if you like to work outside of the office.

My previous review where I awarded Mugg & Bean with 1 star was incorrect - I had a problem with my phone. We were seated quite quickly although it was Mother's Day. Our waitress was extremely friendly and helpful. The coffee was awesome and our scones were delicious. A most pleasant experience.

I really enjoy coming here. The staff is always friendly, and even if I go to sit and work there for a few hours the waiter is always very attentive. Their soup and omelettes is always great!

Good service. Very artistic barista 🎨, creating the most beautiful small works of art with every cup of coffee (or tea). Food delicious 🌮

Bottomless hot chocolate was delicious. A bit rich, could only manage two :) Service was amazing! Didn't even have to ask for the next cup

Mugg and bean never disappoints. I love going there for their made in heaven strawberry milkshakes. Those thick ice-creamy texture and taste is what makes me go back again and again. I also love their lemon meringue pie. You'll be surprised by the size everytime. And the taste is impeccable. I love going there for lunches with friends and its a great date destination. The atmosphere there is always warm and welcoming. You'll feel right at home. Their food is always delicious and ive never had to complain about anything. I reccomend this place for a great breakfast or lunch.

Nice food with friendly service. Went for an early breakfast and was quite busy, can understand why they're so popular.

I am not a fan of mugg and bean because I feel like they overcomplicate their menu. Their food is good but there is usually too much going on. Also the waiters almost fight for you to go sit in their section when you walk in. The prices are also quite high.

Absolutely loved Mugg and Bean!! They offer gluten free options marked on the menu. The food was fresh, unique, and delicious. The staff was friendly and the decor is different. Charging stations available for computers and phones! Free WiFi. Definitely recommend stopping here.
