Loved the outdoor seating overlooking the street. Perfect breakfast spot with great coffee, and unique breakfast options. Cant wait to go back

Salt has a novel menu and concept. Everything we tried was fantastic. Loved the haggis (and I know my haggis), the parmesan and truffle fries were spectacular, service was great (though not intrusive). Vegetarian friendly believe it or not (though perhaps not vegan). Wine is very reasonably priced. Would absolutely go back.

Great food. Everything I had on my "chalkboard" — most of which was recommended by the waiter — was delicious. My wife enjoyed the snoek tacos. And our desserts were quirky combinations that produced eye-opening and mouth-watering results.

Great location and yummy food at good prices. Had a pork belly steamed bun and the parmisan potato chips with truffle oil. Ordered a cocktail and when the bill came saw that my friend and I who ordered cocktails were charged for a double shots which we didn't ask for on order. Perhaps it's just a good idea to specify this. Burgers are huge. Also had the snoek taco starters which was good.

Salt has amazing food on their menu, including a gigantic beef rib, great pork belly, probably the best fries I've ever eaten (garlic, Parmesan Cheese and truffle), plus a dessert in a jar. Would definitely recommend.

Intimate spot with outstanding culinary cuisine. Ideal if you are in the mood for hearty South African dishes with a twist-They never disappoint. Situated in Hazelwood, the vibey part of Wateekloof. Ideal for Friday date night, would recommend to book a table in advance.

I had my first breakfast experience at Salt this morning and calling it an experience is definitely appropriate. Apart from the speedy service and friendly waiting staff the food is absolutely fantastic. The continental platter I had with a collection of inhouse baked breads and artisinal cheeses and cured meats (of your choice) is any foodie's dream and left me wanting more. 5/5 stars. I am most definitely a repeat customer.

Fantastic food and excellent service. Lots of great bread options but the entire menu is very good. On the entertainer app which is a plus. Staff are very attentive and friendly.

Located in Hazelwood, Salt might be the closest experience you will have to enjoying, genuine, honest, spot-on quality crafted cuisine. Marisa, their local pastry chef, greeted us warmly at the door, and we were assisted by extremely friendly and helpful waiters. Offering a wide selection of cured meats; cheeses; breads and condiments, you can either assemble your own “tasting plate” or choose one of their plates where the combinations of foods are a heavenly selection of palate teasers. We selected the Drunken Pecorino Soufflé and the Slow Roasted Pork Belly. The soufflé, which was served with bacon marmalade, Tomato fondue & truffle foam was a double baked soufflé. The soufflé remained light and fluffy and the pecorino provided an amazingly soft and creamy taste. The Slow Roasted Pork Belly was served with smoked apple mustard, white wine poached apples and a pork fritter. All foods one has enjoyed before, but never together and never prepared like this. The delightful thing about each dish is that the individual components are strong enough to be superb on its own but also so well balanced that it complimented each of the different flavours on your plate. For every day dining the prices would be intimidating but this is a restaurant that you cannot miss out on.

SALT is one of Pretoria best kept secrets! (Not so secret though). Their menu is simple, yet exquisite. Great for a long lunch outside. Only minor downside is their limited drinks menu.

Delicious food, great vibe!

Nice outside seating allowing a view on most of the food village. Food is delicious, particularly since the bakery bakes fresh on a daily basis.

Food is fantastic. Seating does not lend itself to a long visit. Prices very good. Will go again!
