Review Khaleo - Pretoria

What a cool hidden spot. If you've read most of my reviews, you'll see I'm into breakfast. This place didn't disappoint at all. I had the French Toasted Banana Bread with peanut butter, weird concept but it works. My husband had lamb meatballs which were also divine. This is the place to go when you're in Pretoria and need good food and service. Wonderful🎊

Beautiful setting, classic hidden gem, worth exploring. The menu is straight forward with a twist. Decor making you feel as if youre in the garden having your cup of coffee. Thank you for the experience Khaleo crew!

Beautiful little coffee shop with a great ambiance. The waitress was very friendly and professional. The first coffee shop I see that advertise they accept bitcoin, litecoin and ethereum. It is a pity my flat white and my wife's cuppuccino were cold. The Caprese sandwich was very tasty!

We were driving though Waterkloof, and Decided to stop here for a breakfast and what a hidden gem it is! It is a pitty about the location, as it is hidden. The food is of outstanding quality, coffee is really good with the different options they make it. Service is on point, never seem to be in your face. Real quaint spot, I don’t think they get enough credit. Reminds me of a small place one would go to in Cape Town or New York!

Would def recommend for a coffee date. The tiramisu baked cheesecake was amazing and the melktert latte was sooo good! Food on the other hand I can only comment on one thing as our one breakfast they didn't have (should have told us before we ordered).The other one (Turkish Kofta) while good, was a tad over spiced and the flatbread was thin and very hard to eat. My suggestion would be something more like a naan to mop up all that yummy sauce and a lighter hand with the chilli and cumin. Overall a good experience and we will def be back!

What a wonderful surprise: we found this gem hidden away from street traffic in a very upmarket location, serving the best breakfast and coffee imaginable. The waiters are attentive to your every need and the owner came by to introduce himself. The food was divine. I would definitely recommend Khaleo for those leisurely Sunday morning brunches where you just sit down and talk for hours.

A beautiful restaurant to come together with friends or family, for a great experience of very tasty items on the breakfast and lunch menu, as well as the best home-baked cheesecake and fresh ground coffee! Lovely atmosphere.

Looking for a new trendy and contemporary restaurant to try out? Khaleo – the Club caterered to all my culinary wants and needs, serving breakfast, lunch and confectionary. It is situated conveniently in The Club Centre with secured parking and free wi-fi. The interior of the restaurant is strikingly beautiful and creates a tranquil enviroment ideal for a quick catch-up with a friend or a space to get some work done. My friend and I popped in for a quick coffee. The coffee is exceptional and upon enquiry the owner explained that they create their very own blend from their own roastery. After perusing the menu, I decided to try the curry chicken mayo on rye with dried apricots and coriander. It was served with a burnt lemon wedge, which took the already delicious taste combination to the next level creating a jummy gooey syrup that complimented and rounded off the dish. I can highly recommend this dish, but there are so many other delicious breakfast and lunch options to choose from. I can't wait to try the cherry and white chocolate baked cheesecake on my I next visit.

What a gem! This small cosy restaurant is ideal for an alternative lunch, or for great coffee. The menu is small - it is mostly consisted of alternative meals. I had the Sirloin strip with Japanese mustard sandwich and my wife had the Asian noodle bowl with chicken breast. Both of these meals were divine. Fairly priced and a good portion size. We also shared a slice of cheesecake - specifically the Avo and White chocolate cheesecake. This was an amazingly light dessert! The coffee is also very well made. We had a normal cappuccino and a dirty chai latte. Would definitely recommend this place!

Went for brunch and the service was amazing. The food, the drinks ? Definitely worth it. The prices aren’t even that bad. Definitely recommend to go when wanting to have a chilled morning/early day vibe.

The stuff is really nice, definitely no fake smiles. The food is to die for,and their milkshakes...wow the art and taste definitely out of this world.😍 The location is really nice and chilled. The music is cool.😎 The environment is clean.

I would definitely recommend Khaleo to anyone. The food is great and the service was fantastic. Their combinations are unique and all the food was fresh. Everyone at our table enjoyed their food almost as much as their coffee 😊☕

The Vietnamese iced coffee was divine. I had the banana bread french toast which was interesting and good. Unique menu.

Had a quick Moca Late with the wife. Live this little shop. Very frendly staff. Quick service. Offers alternative payment methods to only cash and cards.

Opted to go for lunch at Khaleo. The place is quite popular and it was buzzing with people. Started with a lovely strong cappuccino (good strong coffee). The menu is a cafe cuisine so you won’t find a big steak served there. Our orders were sourdough open sandwiches and a serving of asian infused pork belly (served with pickled eggs and fine noodles). Good tasting food but the meals are a bit small for liking.

beautiful breakfast place i really love the decor its bright and vibrant which made the place quite inviting me for me. The fresh juices are really refreshing so much so i had 2 glasses. loved my breakfast the pairing of the flavojds esepcially the avo and beetroot. i would definitely visit it again :) <br/>

Interior of restaurant is amazing.<br/>Pricing is reasonable and fair.<br/>Food tasted good. Prestation was disappointing as food was left on the pass for over 10 mins leading to presentation literally melting away.<br/>All coffee's order was cold. When this was brought to the staffs attention instead of remaking the coffee the cold coffee was heated using the sreamwand of the coffee machine ruining the taste of the coffee. Such a shame. Such an easy problem to fix. However I notice it is not the first comment of this nature for this restaurant.<br/>

Khaleo is an absolute must. Great staff, decor and most importantly food. Had a chat with Chef Nina. She really has a passion for food witch is clear when you take that first bite. Super fresh, tasty and classy food. I highly recommend. Can't wait to be back.<br/>

My brother and I love Khaleo. The food is really great and they have the best coffee in town. I love the asian noodle bowl.... and the specials they run are always interesting and top quality. Definitely a must for foodies!

Every time I have been to Khaleo has been a treat. The staff are always friendly and the food is delicious. The place has a cozy atmosphere and it's easy to sit and relax. The pastries and cakes are always delicious! Keep up the good work!

Nice cosy place. Good service. Food is great but portions are tiny. Coffee serve lukewarm instead of hot. Prices are steep, but I'd go again just for the cosy ambiance.

Service was over-eager and the food was... ok. My scrambled eggs were burned (brown at the bottom) and there’s nothing worse than that. Only thing I’d go back for was the buttermilk waffle.

Great atmosphere with beautiful design, gorgeous artwork and soemthing new for pretoria. Was served whole heartedly. Lovely delicious food and enjoyed the milktart latte! I really enjoyed every moment of it. Felt so home and comfortable!

Khaleo has the most amazing vibe and aesthetic. The greenery inside is absolutely lush, and the atmosphere is a treat. The coffee is phenomenal, (my favourite being the milktart latte), and the menu is filled with quirky dishes, a few sporting an Asian flair that I absolutely adore.<br/><br/>The staff is friendly and efficient, and the manager is attentive and receives feedback exceptionally well. This was the case when I mentioned that the beef strips in my noodle dish tasted a bit dry. He immediately apologised and promised to rectify the mistake in future.<br/><br/>All in all, Khaleo serves delicious and fun food in a setting that is absolutely exquisite!

We visited Khaleo at “The Club” for breakfast. Was a beautiful sunny Saturday morning and decided to sit outside by the water feature. So really liked the chilled and relaxing ambiance. The decor is fresh and mod. The staff was so friendly and pleasant. The service was efficient and on form. We ordered cappuccinos to start. They arrived quite quickly and was good. Found the menu so different and refreshing. So I ordered the poached eggs on health bread with smacked avo, bacon and beetroot. My eggs, unfortunately was not medium as I ordered but was still very tasty non-the-less! My hubby had the open omelette with 3 toppings, also very tasty and well done! So overall was a wonderful breakfast ... will be back to try the other options.

Just went for coffee, but enjoyed the lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Food on the menu from breakfast to salads really sound good, will definitely head back for a meal there soon!<br/>Only confusion is that the place on Zomato says Irene, when it is actually at the Club in Menlo Park

Tasty. Well presented. Partially outdoors. Super friendly service.<br/><br/>I complimented the biscotti that was served with coffee and asked if they sell them as a dish on the menu. Our waitress kindly declined, but proceeded with providing a few on a side plate and giving it to us free of charge.<br/>Had a wonderful time here!
