I had steak, chips and salad and it was prepared to perfection for me, my wife had a burger and was also not disappointed We ordered from the specials and lunch time menu and that was a good value for money purchase. Place centrally located and ample parking above or covered parking Wheelchair friendly, but toilets are not wheelchair friendly in the establishment, but Merlyn Maine caters for all and their ablutions are nice and clean.

Well, since I'm not a big fan of burgers, I started underestimating the taste and thinking I wouldn't like the food there (Thought it was going to be plain, bland, etc.), but anyway... For a change, I somewhat tried the burger—the Mighty Double Cheese in particular🍔. Gosh ! I was so thrilled! The taste was EXTREMELY TASTY! The yummiest burger I've ever tried so far! I ate so fast that I didn't even notice it was finished already!😂 I'm So excited to try more of their burgers ASAP! And the chillis 🌶️, yoh! It's dope!❤️‍🔥

Boitshwarelo served us really really well, great service, the food was great and the cocktails even better, overall we were very happy here.

Really good burgers. We had the Wagyu, truffle and Swiss cheese butger with sweet potato chips, Lamb Burger with apple, coleslaw walnut salad and Double cheese burger with chips. We will see you again soon!

Lovely eatery, burgers and chips are of good standard, was served by a lady called Enough and she was very much friendly. It’s clean and has a lovely atmosphere. I spent less then R350, for good ribs and two burgers with chips and a drink, for me that was quiet affordable.

This place is a must try! My friend and I were on holiday and came here to try the burgers. The staff (Buyi, Given, and manager TP) were so kind, respectful, and attentive. The burgers were mouth watering and the drinks were delicious. I ordered the lamb burger with a mojito and my friend got the wagyu royal with an alcohol-free grapefruit margarita. Our experience was so wonderful we visited one last time before returning back to the U.S. You will not be disappointed!

Very relaxed setup and food is nice. The service is superb cocktails are Devine too. Cause I love my chicken wings you will be happy to know they serve a whole wing😋😋

Quick and Easy lunch selection for delicious burgers and ribs. Great for dine in or takeout. Friendly staff all round and a relaxed atmosphere, definitely a 10 out of 10 for me. Service Is on point.

Delicious burgers! The bun is perfectly toasted and the patty juicy with minimal garnish which is just the way I love my burgers. Hubby had the wagyu burger which he didn't enjoy but I gobbled it up for him! The beef ribs were good but a tad salty. The service from Quinton (sp) was fantastic!

‪Had a old school cheese burger from ribs and burgers. Since seeing the word “burgers” is in your name it gives one the idea that any burger would be great/bomb/amazing. BUT IT WAS UTTER SHIT the bun was so big all I could taste was bread the mustard tasted bought and for a burger place I’m shocked you guys don’t have a homemade recipe for that. Then to top it off the burger was pretty much tasteless. The onion was so thick too! Like biting into a whole onion ! Mandolin can help with that ! <br/>Truly this was such a bad experience for me since I LOVE BURGERS. Truly disappointing. <br/>As you can see in the pictures provided, the burger bun is the so big you can’t see anything else. Personally there is no difference between this and a burger from steers. Steers is possibly better <br/><br/>The patty was cooked well points for that. The chips were stale and weren’t salted, which is a nobrainer to atleast salt it just a bit after frying so that the salt sticks to the fried item.<br/><br/>Ribs and Burgers I hope that you see this and don’t find it offense but to improve so that your “paying customers” can enjoy the food better.

I usually eat here on Fridays with my colleagues. We always get the burgers and they are good. However this past Friday I tried the pork ribs and they were burnt! Please look at these pics and ask me how you serve this to someone

On Friday night my boyfriend and I decided to have dinner here. We both ordered the Chicken burger with bacon, avo and cheese and it did not disappoint, as well as the sweet potato fries- they are a must! The prices are reasonable for what you get, although you have to order sides separately- it is a large portion. ( we shared one side order ) <br/>It was quite busy, with only 4 waiters and the manager running around to try and accommodate everyone.. <br/>The atmosphere and decor adds to the experience .<br/>Will definitely be back again.

After the lovely thunderstorm we had tonight, Ribs & Burgers was the destination for supper tonight. The place was fairly empty and I chose a seat close to the outside (was still warm outside). Tendai served us and we placed our order (Mighty bacon & cheese burger, chicken blt burger and chips). When the food arrived, we tucked in. Well prepared and tasty. The chips are to die for - excellent taste! Consistency is key and I liked it!

23.12.2018 After watching a show at Times Square we weren't sure what eateries would be available for walk-ins (as most are usually full and require Bookings when there is shows) or would still be open as its a late Sunday. We went across to Menlyn Maine and decided to try Ribs N Burgers, as I have been craving Ribs.<br/><br/>They not your usual restaurant, as you need to place your orders at the counter and they will bring your food to you and the bill thereafter.<br/><br/>The menu is limited if you not a meat / junk type food eater. It's nice to see they have Beef, Pork and Lamb Ribs, i chose the Pork st Louis Ribs with Onion Rings and the Chilli Mayo. The rest of the family opted for burgers, i.e. the Aussie, the Cheeseburger, etc with Sweet Potato Fries.<br/><br/>To wash it down, we each took a different Lemonade I.e. Original, Apple or Mint. All were really good, and my brother had the Salted Caramel Milkshake.<br/><br/>I loved my Ribs, it was juicy and tender, but still doesn't have that sticky vibe I was hoping for. Their Onion Rings dunked with some Chilli Mayo are really good and are easily competition for Spur. The Sweet Potato Fries I can also say were tasty, but not my thing.<br/><br/>Although more like a Takeaway, we all enjoyed our meals and drinks and so glad i have a branch closer to work, as well as finally trying this branch since it opened a long while back. We had a birthday lunch at Ribs and Burgers and enjoyed the atmosphere with friendly staff, however, our drinks came 30 minutes late after the food and after various follow-ups.

We came with all our expectations to have the famous ribs, only to find out they are out of stock for beef and pork ribs... very disappointed....

visited this place with my colleagues after a stressful day....the ambience is good...ordered a big burger with my beer ....lemme tell u that the burger was big, juicy and tasty. grt stuff.

Great burgers and the bloody best chicken wings in town (although a bit expensive for wings).  The Aussie burger (yes I know how we feel about the Aussies when it comes to rugby) was one of the best burgers I have had in a while.

11.07.2018<br/><br/>My second time at Ribs & Burgers. 1st time was soon after they opened. I feel like they have made a few changes to adapt to the South African market that make for a better experience (not having to order at the counter when sitting in for example).<br/><br/>Fortunately the quality of the meat remains top notch. Not sure how and where the meat is sourced, but I love it. Its probably "organic". The patties have real flavour and are cooked through beautifully. I had the two sliders and fries ( one chicken and one beef ).<br/><br/>Service was good and the food came out quickly. I did arrive just before the lunchtime rush hour to be fair, so quick service is a must.<br/><br/>Definitely a spot to make a regular for good burgers. Next to try the ribs.

It was our first visit at Menlyn Maine so we decided to try Ribs & Burgers given that it's unique to the area. We were quite surprised how busy it was, probably due to the fact that the sun arena was good hosting a show. This left an awesome vibrant atmosphere. The food.. cheese burgers and the chicken burgers were delicious, which pleasantly surprised us. What also stood out were the chunky cut fries, equally good were the sweet potato fries.. Crisp , nicely cut and well prepared. Despite being busy.. Service was friendly and good. I will definitely recommend Ribs & Burgers on your next visit !

Best Burgers in Town. Have been coming back<br/>time after time. I cant vouch for their Ribs because I cant come here and order anything else besides a burger. Do yourself a favour and start with the plain burger and work yourself up to the fancier ones. Reason being: you need to appreciate the quality of the ingredients the use on their burgers! From the meat to the bun, everything is of the best quality. No fuss , no fancy nonsense, just a damn good burger. PS: their prices are very competitive.

I had to give this place 5 stars, twas my first time at this and I totally loved it!<br/>Decided to try the Aussie burger even though I was skeptical and it turned out great, loved the setting and the quick service, loved the place will definitely be going back.

We visited on a Friday night before a 8pm show. <br/>When we got there, there was no host/manager to show us to a table. We walked in and after standing around we were eventually shown to a table. <br/><br/>Ordered a cappucino and a malt milkshake, which was brought very quickly. If only I could say the same about the food. Ordered a lamb burger & a bacon & cheese burger. It took so long that by the time it arrived we had 5min to finish it. <br/><br/>Food was delicious, it's just a pity the service sucks.

Very disappointed. Ordered a chicken burger and got told they were out of chicken. My partner places his order just to find out they are out of onion rings. We settled for some mediocre fries. I ended up ordering striploin but was far off from being cooked the way it it was ordered. Since nobody came to check if everything was okay with our order and it was impossible to get anyone's attention, I ended up just eating the chips...at that point evening was already quite unpleasant and I just gave up. Then made the mistake of using the restroom, door handle on the inside was broken and floor was filthy.<br/>There are enough other restaurants in the vicinity so give this one a skip

Best sweet potato chips ever!! Although it being busy, the food arrived reasonably quick and the service was great. Their burgers taste great and are priced really well. Love the fact that they have the option of ordering the burger without the bun for those who would like too. Great variety of burgers

Tried this place after a terrible experience dining at a neighbouring restaurant, ordered a take away double cheese burger and it was sooo good. Will definitely be back to try their other offerings.

Excellent food - thanks for my gluten free naked burger 😊. Props for keeping the kitchen open until after the +Live+ concert let out! It was really busy last night but the staff remained efficient and patient. A bit of a wait to order but well worth it.

Took my son and some friends to R&B located at Menlyn Maine. <br/>• Staff & Service: Staff were friendly and assisting. However, I was quite disappointed and unhappy about the fact that the waitress couldn't explain the difference in the size of the burgers. Also, we received extra chips which we did not order. We liked her though. <br/>• Decor & Ambiance: Very chilled and laid-back with an American Burger Joint feel. Simple and not overly done. <br/>• Food & Drink: The milkshakes were delicious. The Burgers ... words fail me. I have never been so embarrassed and disappointed. I wanted to treat the boys and it was a disaster. You can't call the "one bite-size burgers" a burger. "Pocket" also doesn't work it is misleading. A pocket is normally a pita. They should be called mobs or sliders or whatever but not a pocket or a burger. I'm not a big burger person so I asked the waitress what the difference was between the pockets and other burgers, she told me that they are the same. They were not the same. One bite and the burger was finished, with chips that can feed 8 people. It just doesn't make sense. We ordered a naked burger, it arrived on a plate of lettuce with a patty the size of a sweetie pie hidden between the leaves. The Sweet potato fries weren't that good and the chips also. The taste and flavor of the patties was there but lacked in every other department. I think we just had a bad day. Bored with eating the same food every day? Go eat the falafel burger at this place. You will have to order fries as a side - but its worth it cause its the best fries we have had in a loooong time. Drinks menu could use some craft on tap and the wine unfortunately is via carafe. Great to sit outside and view some supercars drive by on a weekend.

I love how they have a basin right there at the exposure of their guests. A great place to grab a bite and chill. Although the space has a great modern/industrial feel to eat. The food was really burger and the fries crispy on the outside but delightfully soft on the inside. The service is good and the staff friendly.

My first visit. Arrived and was welcomed but then waiter disappeared. Eventually I walked in and asked for service, and from then on it was like lightening... fast & efficient. Ordered the lamb ribs with onion rings. Whilst waiting, I checked out comments on Zomato and following those, ordered their chips too. What a great meal! Ribs were excellent and juicy. Onion rings excellent and chips excellent. So what... they serve beer and wine in unusual glasses, but it all tasted great. Manager and staff were attentive and the prices reasonable. Tried these guys yesterday after feeling for something very comforting on a cold day. From the minute we walked in service was on point, greeted, shown to a table near the heater... Was very cosy and given menu's at the same time... This is a winning factor!<br/><br/>Ordered the lamb burger after contemplating the lamb ribs too... Chips and onion rings... Very good portion size of chips and onion rings too. Burger was tasty, bun was soft and I couldn't stop eating! <br/>Manager on the floor asking if everything is ok do we need anything else continously.<br/><br/>My rating is at 5 because I cannot find anything to point at them and say something was wrong... Nothing was wrong this was fantastic!

Location, location, location! It is situated in the best spot to see all the goings on around you. The plain decor makes for a clean look, relaxed and laid back. I tried the old school cheese burger with beetroot chips and it was tasty. The onion rings are good but the chips however are really good. Overall not bad

My wife and I absolutely love this joint! Ribs & Burgers is a favorite for our date days. I have been here with friends as well. Not once have we experienced bad food. Once the service was slow but the manager took over and things ran smooth again. According to me Ribs, best in PTA Burgers, top 2. Malt milkshake is also EPIC. This place is a must!

Excellent service; our waiter was attentive and we did not wait long to bee served. We had the ribs and can honestly say the name is more than apt as it was delicious! Certainly worth the visit. On Saturdays there's a lovely atmosphere when music is playing in the square as well.

When the craving for ribs hit, it hits bad. If you're like me and you "uhm" and "ah" about where you could possibly go to satisfy this craving, and a box of just add heat and char ribs from a supermarket just ain't gonna cut it. You can understand my excitement when I discovered Ribs and Burgers, as it's namesake implies...<br/>The restaurant is modern, simple and clean. The customer service is fantastic. But most importantly, the food looks great - I include here, my table observations of other people's food. So on to my food experience, the ribs (pork) weren't bad, it wasn't amazing either, but satisfactory for the rib craving. I must admit, I very much enjoyed my leftovers I took with me to work the next day, and clearly...so did my ravenous coworkers. Mostly my reasoning for the not bad, good but not amazing opinion on the ribs is based on the price point. The ribs are rather pricey, ribs are in general the most expensive meal on most restaurants menus, but I'm a bit sad that at the price point they don't come with a choice of side. I have been to places that can offer me the same mass of ribs, taste good and I get a side at a similar, if not slightly cheaper price.<br/><br/>Additional positives about this place, their burgers look fantastic and the burger options should cater for most people, like the exciting vege burger options. I'm not vegetarian, but I like the option. I definitely will go back to try out the burgers. <br/><br/>If there's a place that you take somebody for a date, this would definitely be my pick, nothing better than getting to know somebody over messy faces and saucy hands, right?

I've heard a lot about the new Australian on the block and could not wait to try it. We arrived at the restaurant quite early for dinner and it was empty, however it did get full pretty quickly thereafter. The burger was delicious, and served medium as promised on the menu. I loved that they put their (very) crispy onion rings inside the roll. We then ordered dessert- pumpkin fritters and soft serve with chocolate sauce. Our waiter forgot to bring the soft serve, which actually turned out to be a good thing as the serving of pumpkin fritters was quite large. The pumpkin fritters were nice- I think it would be a bit better if they had more pumpkin and less flour though. Serve was very attentive and friendly in the beginning, however the staff did seem to struggle a bit as the restaurant started filling up.

Aussie style burger joint. You order and pay at the front counter...A waiter drops off your order and clears the table when you're done. It's a plain and simple restaurant and if that's what I'm looking for that day, then R&B is it. So don't go there and expect a 5star dining experience. That is not what they're about. I had the bacon&cheese burger. It was super tasty. Their onion rings are yummyyyy! Make sure you try them! 😉 The strawberry milkshake was really good too. They're a bit pricey, but I'm guessing it's because they're an international franchise...So prices are the same globally? Anyway, I'll definitely go again!

I was warned by my fellow foodies but oh no can the kids beg and beg lol. Friday night and my son wanted ribs. I'm thinking I can take bad service and overpriced food but I need wine. So I order a a bottle and they bring it in a whiskey 🥃 glass? Wth? And the response was this is the way we do it? Anyway the food is way overpriced and I will never visit again. Not going to even comment as really I would recommend you stay away. Reason for my rating is that at least I got served by a waitress and it was not self ordering which I guess I can handle after a long day at the office.....the only reason for the pic is that it is a main which is a full portion of chicken wings. Really stay away but to be honest I was warned but thought I would again share it with all of you.

Our search continues for best burgers! Menu basic ! Does not grab you too much! Ordered burgers and ribs! Go figure! Ribs ok but were a bit burnt! Falafel burger was a bit dry and spicy! Kids burgers were also a bit burnt! Chicken burger had a nice lemon zing to it! Also quite spicy! Overall not sure if I would go back!

We went there to celebrate a friends birthday on a Sunday. I was somewhat disappointed by the small variety on the menu. I ordered the 700g bbq beef ribs, thinking I could have some leftovers to eat later, and sweet potato fries. The ribs were tasty but very much overpriced for the portion size. The fries are probably the only reason I would ever go back. We only got our drinks after we got our food. Dont know if this was because we ordered food and drinks together... the drinks also came in drips and drabs, one drink at a time. I only got my milkshake after eating. They only started making the milkshakes when we already got our food. Overall i would say the fries were tasty but thats about it. Service was not good at all.

I was really surprised by Ribs & Burgers. Once you get used to the ordering system (give ’em a fair chance), it is smooth sailing! I ordered a chicken burger (with a proper chicken fillet – not a chicken patty)  that was so juicy and tasty. Nothing complicated – just a good burger, exactly what I wanted.  And those fries (both potato and sweet potato!) and onion rings – perfect! The sides are ordered separately - but the portions are HUGE!

Sophisticated, modern & upmarket Rib & Burger venture. Pleasing seating inside and out. Ordering and paying at the counter in a restaurant of this quality in this particular location feels somewhat incongruous.<br/>My Butcher's burger was delicious and the fries fantastic. Carnivores beware: the meat portion is small (150g). The patty was almost lukewarm - perhaps from waiting for the fries to cook?<br/>Service was fine.<br/>The serviettes, though disposable, are large and soft and feels fantastic to use!

They weren't able to redeem a gift card. So the manager just told us to pay cash and come back another time. The whole experience left us with a bitter taste.

OK so here it goes. If you are looking for Pretoria's tastiest ribs, then this the place to be. BUT, if you are interested in trying out pretoria's best burgers then I suggest you give this place a skip. Pretty standard with bacon and cheese which you can bump up with a few standard extras. Sides need to be ordered separately. <br/><br/>Ambience is standard, although customers pay at the till which is quite unique and convenient if you are in a hurry . If you are in the mood for a fast order and sit down meal then you are the right place. If a social night out with friends is your thing, where you prefer to linger for a few hours and take your time exploring the dinner menu, then i suggest somewhere different. <br/><br/>Overall, not to shabby. <br/><br/>

Great food coupled with welcoming and warm service. Most def going to repeat my visit! Made up for a horrible experience at Moo Moo Brooklyn earlier in the night. I'd recommend this place any day. 😬😬😬😬

There is room for improvement here. The service is good, however having to order, pay and sit down is not the way. I understand if I am here for a takeaway I should be able to stand by the counter, order and pay and take away my food. However if I am sitting, I think I should be allowed to settle a bill later, incase I want to order more stuff. <br/><br/>I ordered a Lamb burger, the patty was good, but the rest of the stuff in the burger ruined my burger. <br/>Another thing is the pricing. For what they charge for these burgers, they are cheating people on size. These burgers are tiny. I mean it is R90-00 for a 180g Lamb burger. <br/>The decor is good, having the choice of outside sitting and inside sitting as well. The music playing is not to invasive, allowing for a good catchup with friends. Their drink menu is still small. They do offer 2 craft beer makes, Jack black and one more I forgot. Then they have Heineken and Corona. <br/>

I wasn't quite sure how much to rate this restaurant. I was going to rate it slightly higher, as I believe there is room for improvement, but for now I think this is it. Maybe if there was an option for 2.8 rating.<br/><br/>Another restaurant that was anticipated with all the hopes and dreams of a foodie. The restaurant is really nice, smaller than I expected. The decor is lovely, very nice pillows and comfortable seating areas, the bathroom is also really nice and beautiful art work done specially for the place. The staff are friendly too and explain straight away how everything works.<br/><br/>The hype created around this restaurant was massive, and after reading up about it and all about their free range suppliers, I couldn't wait to try it out.<br/><br/>I find the concept of having to order at the counter a bit bizarre as you pay immediately. So if one wants another drink or something else, you need to go and pay again. I don't think it's viable.<br/><br/>We were the only people in the restaurant and ordered the half rack of beef ribs (89) and the old school cheese burger (88) with a large fries to share. We both had soda waters.<br/><br/>The food arrived promptly. I was taken aback by the size of the burger. It was tiny. It was like the size of a Steers snack burger, maybe just a bit higher. For R88, for just the burger, I find that ridiculous. We cut open the burger and it was raw inside. Disappointing. I eat my burgers medium, but this was just uncooked. We sent it back and waited half an hour for them to make another one. Frozen patties? I'm not sure. When the burger returned, it was cooked perfectly medium. The burger however was really boring. The only thing I enjoyed about it was the aoli.<br/><br/>The half rack of ribs ( 3 ribs) were nice. A bit on the tough side but the basting was good. The chips ( frozen) were alright. <br/><br/>I'm not impressed. The prices are way to high for what you get and the food was average. Yet another disappointing night of eating out. Hype might just be a distraction.

Felt like a cold beer and burger last Friday so decided to give Ribs & Burgers a try. Unfortunately on arrival we were told that their liquor licence has not been approved yet, however I am sure this will be sorted out soon. The burgers tasted great, made using fresh ingredients and the chips were some of the best I've had. They have an interesting concept whereby customers have to order and pay at the counter, thereafter your food will be brought to your table. I'm not so sure if I like this idea particularly if I want to order something else or a few drinks then each time I have to get up and queue at the counter. Lets see how this pans out. Overall good experience, will definitely go back.

We have been to Ribs and Burgers numerous times since it's opening a few weeks ago. Delicious burgers and sides and great value for money! The sweet potato fries is a favorite of mine. The portions are generous and the service fast and friendly. I foresee that this Australian concept is going to be a great success in SA! The best burgers I have ever tasted. This is our new go-to burger joint for sit-down and take away meals!

They did their best to get our own bought beers cold<br/><br/>Chips the best is pretoria! <br/><br/>Crispy outside and soft on the inside . Do try the super onion rings. Not soggy or oily! A few type of patties to choose from. Sure you can build a tower burger. 😀 my burger (cheese and bacon) was fantastic medium rate patty super! Will see me again. Great place for local take outs - even kiddy meal for R39<br/><br/>Will return soon for the ribs!

Brand new venue at Menlyn Maine. They have a prime spot that is easily accessible. Jyst a pity that cars are allowed to park right next to the tables. I honestly hope they stop this soon. <br/><br/>The food was well prepared and nicely presented. <br/><br/>They have quite a few options on an interesting menu. <br/><br/>Will be visiting again.
