We often visit Rhapsody’s for breakfast - by far the best value I’m aware of - R50 for the English breakfast, with great “Illy” coffee included - highly recommended and service with a smile in a pleasant environment. Brenda is excellent and takes personal service to the next level -
Rhapsody's was one of the best restaurants we've been to in a long time! They have the friendliest and most efficient staff, their food is absolutely delicious and, most importantly, their wine list is filled with only the best. The view and vibey ambience also added to what was already a special evening. Needless to say we were the last couple to leave, and the staff were so friendly nonetheless (which is almost unheard of in South Africa). Thank you for keeping your standards high Rhapsody's!
Place to be when you in town
Friendly service and great food
Will be back soon thanks for a great evening keep it up and you will reap the rewards
03.06.2017 Before heading to the theatre to watch a competition we came here for a quick snack to keep us going for the evening. It wasn't busy but there were sufficient waiters around but found it strange that only certain staff could take our orders. We asked what time they close and were told midnight so we have an option for post the show. We only ordered starters and I had my usual Cosmopolitan. My Sushi was good, the rest of them had the Cheesy Prawns which were kinda tasteless, the Garlic Snails which were good and the Peri Peri Chicken Wings. The bread and butter they gave us was also a great tummy filler. We paid and left.
After the show we noticed they were the only ones kinda open, when we got to the door we again asked are you still open? To which we got a response we are closing shortly but said they can still offer us Coffee and Cake as that's all we wanted. In the end most of the people from the show came here for coffee and nibbles. So it's a bit confusing as Zomato shows they close 2am. Nevermind we ordered our cakes and drinks. Both enjoyable. Carrot Cake with fresh cream hit the spot. It was a decent portion so I brought half of it home. My Cape Velvet Coffee also tasted Great.
When we wanted the bill our waiter was busy bringing in the outside tables so we asked another person if we can get our bill. He in turn then motioned to another guy who had the card machine that we wanted to pay. He nodded and then casually continued chatting to these girls and ignoring us.
Eventually we went to call him and kindly told him he should not ignore people as the barman told him we were waiting and continued when it was clear he was having a personal conversation chatting up a girl. So service does need to improve slightly and please be clear on your opening and closing times.
Hi really like this place.. had their breakfast on Saturday morning and must say it was yummee... +points for serving sesame loaf instead of normal toast.. Mushrooms done perfectly and the coffee was brewed fresh... 👍 from me! It doesn't happen often that i dont finish my food but this was good. Eggs nice over easy!
Rhapsody’s Lynnwood Bridge is situated just off the N1 in Pretoria and is one of those dining experiences that rarely disappoints. I have frequented this establishment quite a lot and mostly for the cocktail and sundowner scene. Their food is delightful and their interior classy. Make sure to sit on the veranda with a view of Lynwood Road to make your evening spectacular. Their staff is well trained, super friendly and very helpful. I love Rhapsody’s as their menu offer a good variety and are always beautifully and deliciously prepared.
Mussel sushi where have you been all my life. We ordered the giant platter which includes all our favourites and an addition of mussel with cream cheese California rolls. I ordered a virgin watermelon daiquiri and my boyfriend had pineapple juice. The restaurant wasn't that busy and servers were attentive. The sushi is reasonably priced for the number of sushi pieces you are given. Would love to return for sundowners with friends.
Recently came here for a birthday dinner with a large group of friends. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great. The food was pretty good too. The only issue was that the kitchen did not pay attention to detail as 4 people ordered the exact same pasta dish but only one portion got the garnish but others did not. Perhaps this was due to our party being too large? Nonetheless, I would go back to try their other dishes.
Such a laid back place. Late lunch was a delight, service was quick and food was great. Their Pork ribs are so delicious they make you want to have more. I had the the coconut chicken which was nothing amazing but i think it had to do with me more so than how they make it ,for me it lacked something. I love their extensive drinks, they cater for most if not everyone. A place definitely worth trying
The sushi is absolutely wonderful! The chef is so creative in how the plates are presented. The host/hostess is always dressed smartly and very professional! Always a treat to go there!
I came here for a family dinner to celebrate my mom birthday and later my own birthday. It was quite full the first time we wnt and the waitor advised us to make a reservation in future. We did this next time. When we called to confirm our reservation we were told they don't take reservations. When we arrived we were asked if we made a reservation.
Obviously there is somekind of behind closed doors lack of direction happening ...
Other than that... the food is absolutely amazing! Their watermelon daiquiri is a must have for any cocktail lover with a sweet tooth!
I give this place 2 thumbs up but their music just needs work - they played country music from the time I sat down to the time I left.
Food is delicious, fresh and servings are generous. I had the Moroccan Style Stuffed Chicken Fillets. Yummy. I also had a taste of the pastas my friends ordered and that too was yummy. They have a wide selection of craft beers, I tried the Bonecrusher.
Pricing is reasonable. Service is great. There are plenty of seating options, indoors or outdoors.
Advice: make a reservation - we had to sit in the outdoors section because they had no space inside but the view of Lynnwood Road was lovely.
Always consistent with the food and service. I actually rate the sushi above most sushi menus in Pretoria. Try the deep fried calamari or the biltong sushi. Overall I have never been let down at this venue. It could offer more entertainment but that would not go well in the surrounding community. Oh and the chicken livers are also a must.

Rhapsody's is one of the few venues that is just "always open" 😄 especially for an early breakfast or after a show at Atterbury Theare.
They have a wide variety of food. From sushi to wood oven pizza 😀
The vibe is good and the restaurant has a lively atmosphere at night.
Sure to visit again.

I had a very disappointing meal at another Rhapsody's about a year ago. We visited the Rhapsodys at Lynmwood bridge for a business function with a group of 22 people. Service was excellent and staff was friendly and sharp. The food was excellent and prepared in a timely fashion, considering we were 22 people. Excellent!
Rhapsody's has something for everyone on the menu, thus making it an ideal venue for dining with family or a group of friends. Delicious food, well prepared, a great selection of drinks (good selection of craft beer!) service friendly and efficient. Lovely inside-looking-to-outside seating.
I had a potent, icy Martini Gin. Sipping it slowly set me in a mellow frame of mind. A Salmon platter: fresh sushi and sashimi. One has an option of ordering extra condiments on the side - for eg an extra bowl of Japanese Mayo.
Steak was tender and juicy, but the fries were from the prefrozen mass prepared type.
All considered it had been an agreeable experience.
Once a year, we make sure to experience Rhapsody's at this particular outlet after a Christmas Opera show one of my friends are in.
This year was no different, and we ended up being one of their biggest tables of the evening, and enjoying the delicious cocktails and food on offer.
Their bread that they serve before the mains is fresh and yummy with a sundried tomato dipping sauce.
We ordered many different dishes, and in the end we had sushi, fillet and even a bit of dessert. My steak was amazing, my sushi was great and I really can't complain about the quality of this particular Rhapsody's.
I actually think it's one of my favourites out of all the outlets as it's very chilled and laid back.
Beautiful outside area, with a view on the streets. Sushi very fresh and delicious. But best of all must be the cocktails, I Had a watermelon daiquiri and it was really really good!
Oh my oh my the african sushi is a definite must,as welll as the Flambé Fillet with a good red wine and the créme bruleé to end of a evening in my city!Excellent service from every one here.
fine place, friendly waitress, cocktail excellent and cold

According to my tastebuds; Rhapsody's has the best cocktails! They are well situated and the vibe is really relaxing! They always try and accommodate where possible. Been here a few times and will definitely be returning soon.
Had a delightful evening with a friend while enjoying a glass of Yonder Hill Merlot which was really delicious.
Great and friendly service was received from the waiters, dressed in black trousers and red button shirts, looking snazzy and sophisticated. The look adds to the smart and classy vibe but still casual.
My friend and I both had light meals - "Sliders" which turned out to be legit 'not so light' meals (3 mini burgers with mushrooms sauce and chips) and it was terrific.
Had a great date night with my boyfriend. Felt welcome & getting service with a smile is always a joy. I absolutely love the variety of food and the wine pairing tips.

A friend and I went for drinks. She had a watermelon cocktail. I had a sip and was sooooo nice! I had 2 glasses of house wine which I won't recommend. Major hangover! I had a burger which was just as tasty! My friend has sushi and it looked beautiful!

The best Alcoholic Milkshakes EVER... Potent, but addictive. Really. They also have amazing cakes. They're slightly pricey, but totally worth it if you're looking for a late night hangout. Service is also good and the portions very generous.
I don't know when this happened, but apparently Rhapsody's is actually a restaurant haha. We use to go to the one in Zambezi to have a fun night out. Anyways, this is the new go to spot whenever I have to meet up with clients during the day. They have delicious Cappuccinos and yummy food. The price tag is also not to damaging to the wallet.
I have many friends who have suggested the place for a girl's date after being there I can say I completely get it. The is avery nice deck on the far end of the restaurant, but it still has a rather cosy feel. The food is amazing and the platter style is very decidant its an excellent place to dine
Our girls night out spot!
My friend and I enjoy coming here for either a Sunday afternoon coffee or a girls night out!
The service is good and they have a decent inside and outside smoking area, the atmosphere is sophisticated and classic.
They do get very busy at times so then we usually start our night with a bottle of wine at the bar, and move to a table not soon after, the food is good, I had a pasta once and it was delicious.
Will definitely be seeing them again.
Lovely place and food. There is nothing out of the ordinary, it is a typical nice airy restaurant with typically nice food. I had sushi and it was not so fresh but all in all it was a an ok experience
