Boma Cafe makes a great beef burger. Staff is great, so is the coffee. Management lady just a bit strict-speaking when she asks you if you've been served. But a good job altogether

Great Atmosphere Good food presentation Good tasting food Service was fast and quick to reapond 500g Rump: Fantastic meat despite the amount of sause on the rump steak that takes away from the meats fresh taste. Americano was not nice and tasted like overburt beans . Salad was extremely fresh! Overall: Definitely will revisit and try something else from their menu. Is a very nice place.

Boma Cafe never disappoints. From breakfasts to light lunches, steaks or traditional hearty cuisine, the quality, quantity and tastiness always proves satisfactory and satiating. On this particular visit, my son and I opted for burgers since we were ravenous and in the mood for something simple. We were extremely satisfied to find a generous serving of fresh, perfectly cooked hand-cut chips alongside burgers that truly represented what one normally only finds on those all-too-perfect menu displays at other frachise chains. The burgers were among the best we've ever had. 100% Pure, fresh ground beef home-made patties were expertly seasoned and cooked, resting atop several streaks of cured bacon, and topped with an ample amount of cheddar cheese. I was stupified by the reasonable charge for burgers that no other burger grill could dream of matching, even at a higher price. The protions were generous enough that this turned out to be our only meal for the day. The service was friendly, prompt and attentive. I highly recommend a visit to this superbly run establishment.

Nice and neat environment. Service wasn't great. Although conveniently located for meetings, I would not recommend it for a business meeting. Quiet enough though to a meeting if you want to

Love this spot... Great prices. Very very good food... Lovely restaurant. The menu is amazing... And from the cake and coffee to the pies and breakfast.

My getaway place. I like the rustic yet slightly European feel with tables for one available. Spacious seating also available for medium and even large groups. My Cappucino con panna and breakfast served correctly by a friendly waiter. Toilet squeeky clean and decorated smartly. Breakfasts always pleasant with a base breakfast and many additions you can make at a fair price. Seating is comfortable and temperature well controlled. Summer offers seating that is covered but open on the sides. Music is pleasant and not too loud to distract. Next door they offer cooked meals and other delicious products. Having lived in the Boland most of my life and working in radio media, it takes much for a place to convince me. Café Boma has certainly done that. I gladly return here often.

Didn't even get to taste the food as we waited for over an hour for our food/breakfast. People arriving after us had already eaten and paid. After eventually getting the manager she told us we were still 3rd in the queue for the chefs and admitted they had messed up the order. Pathetic - she didn't even have the decency to offer to hurry up the order and as for the waiter - utterly hopeless. We then left without even getting an apology. We won't ever try this place again.

Very disappointing experience. Breakfast took ages to arrive while they were very quiet. Service = mediocre. Coffee = weak. The R60 Quiche is way overpriced for a 11x1cm serving... And you can buy it next door at the deli for R11.?? Had high hopes, but alas! Won't be back.

Today, I finally made it to this quaint Café (that my Dad swears by), tucked away in a quiet shopping centre in Moreletapark, and I could not have been more impressed!

Café Boma is the latest offering by the famous Boma Vleismark known in this part of the world for having the best meat in Pretoria by the locals, and this statement is supported by its National Cleaver Award. On an aside, Boma Vleismark is also the only butcher in town that we purchase our meats from, because it has proved its weight in gold each and every time and I highly recommend it!

With a heritage in the meat department like that, I couldn't resist trying at least one of their meaty options on my first visit here.

On the food side, the Boma Breakfast is famous in this part of the world and for good reason!

The Boma Breakfast: 2 eggs, 3 rashers of bacon, grilled tomato and toast.
From there, they allow you to add on a number of options and customise your breakfast with 200g steak, original Boerewors, mutton sausage, cheese griller, pork banger, pap & kaiings, fried mushrooms.. the list goes on and on.
The Boma Breakfast is the ultimate fry-up and my Dad often even orders it at lunch time, which they kindly arrange for him!

We also selected two salads to share (thinking that we would take home whatever we didn't end up eating for lunch):
Biltong Salad: Salad with avocado, feta and sliced biltong with honey and mustard dressing.
Chicken & Avocado Salad: Tender chicken strips with roasted tomato, avocado and red pesto.
I was impressed with the portion sizes and with reasonable pricing to match, this makes Café Boma one for the hidden gem range! I will return soon.

*Recommendation: This is truly the spot for fussy meat-lovers, and with exceptional quality meats, you can't go wrong ordering a meaty option! I plan to return soon for one of their steaks!

For more, find me on Instagram, Facebook & Twitter: LaurasWorldza

A decent selection of traditional style / no-nonsense meals. Staff always friendly. Don't leave without buying some of the products on offer from the Boma Butchery 'around the corner'. Their pies are wonderful and well priced.

As devoted Boma customers for many many years now, we decided to give their cafe a try. We were astoundingly disappointed with the service- unfriendly staff who lack basic etiquette and people skills. The food was okay, nothing to rave about... the prices were, however, very affordable.

An normal monthly breakfast which we had at Cafe Boma in Moreleta Park.
Somewhat unknown restaurant produced a not too bad first experience.
The place were neat and spacious. Friendly reception and services.
Extremely cheap breakfast that taste amazing.
I ordered the Boma breakfast with an additional add-on of pap and kaiings.
An overall good experience with tasty foods

This place is quite new. Or I haven't heard about it until my dad took us there for dinner. I only know Boma as a butchery and we thought we would try it as they would have quality meat.
First impressions weren't bad. The place is neat and clean. The bar is well decorated and the staff were very friendly.

You order your piece of meat and sides individually. Their prices are really good and reasonable.

My mom and I had the fillet. It was made just the way we ordered, medium. The meat was soft and juicy. Real nice. For sides we had Pampoenkoekies. They received praise from everyone at the table. I just had veggies. It lacked a bit of seasoning but was good overall.

My Dad had the T-Bone. It was also done perfectly. He had pap and sheba. The sheba was a bit tasteless. But my father enjoyed it nonetheless.

Everything went well throughout the evening. The only point I think they can approve on is their desserts. I know they specialise in meat. But it would just take them a notch up if they can make the last course memorable as well. The malvapudding should be made with homemade custard.

I think this place has the potential to be a really well known restaurant, because of the good quality of their meat. We will definitely visit again.

Food was great. I had a biltong and peppadew quiche and my hubby had a bacon burger. We both had cappucinos and also way up there! Waiting staff is friendly and efficient. Will definitely come back!

Had lunch here on Sunday with the family. Extremely cheap steaks that taste amazing! The average steak is about R60 excluding side dishes.

I had a sirloin steak with veggies and "pampoenkoekies" the veggies were drenched in white sauce and very sweet. The steak was also drenched in sauce I could barely taste the meat! The "pampoenkoekies" were really big and tasted amazing!

My brother had the burger, which looked fantastic. Big portions and the chips were also really good. My Boyfriend had the rib and chips basket. The ribs were very fatty, but the meat on the ribs were very tasty!

The service was excellent! Our waiter, Tshepo, always checked on us and made sure we were happy.

Will definitely be back due to reasonable prices and good service!
