Review Blos Cafe - Pretoria

Great little place, with some excellent food. The venue is gorgeous with a lovely homey-feel, and the menu has a nice variety. Service is unfortunately quite lacking, as we had to call someone over every time we wanted service.

We had a great experience overall. Excellent cuisine (compliments to the chef), tranquil atmosphere and good service. Will definitely visit again.

Tranquil, hidden and serene oasis offering an array of seating areas / options. Menu caters to all and I highly recommend their salads.

It's a cozy cafe in Pretoria. You can enjoy your time in nature with good food. Inside of the area was safe, and there are some special places.

Great experience! My second visit to this lovely place. Service was great, waiting time for our orser was quick, waiters are friendly and helpful. Had burgers today and the burgers was supreme. Homemade patties, tasty, flavor and size really great. We enjoyed our time and had a wonderful lunch. Try the bobotie burger, really South African and delicious.

Really enjoyed the experience sitting outside which made it feel like you are far away from the city. The staff was friendly and helpful. A big plus for me was the Guinness on tap. You don't dive that often and if a place have it on tap, it's a must to have one, or two, glasses. My burger was fairly well made, as per normal my order was for a double burger, and because of the size, medium rare. They executed it fairly well and liked the fact that the burger patty wasn't filled with herbs or other seasoning which meant you could taste the beef. The consistency of the burger seasoning wasn't that great as my wife's burger was a bit more on the salty side. Was still a positive experience with the burger in my top 20 of burger joints. Would definitely go again.

What a truly unique and wonderful place..for breakfast,lunch or dinner or just tea and amarula milk tart!! Just a pleasure!!!

We used Blos Cafe as the venue for our Wedding Reception. It was an absolute blessing amidst the stressful wedding planning time. We are very grateful for the help that Loraine (our venue coordinator) provided us from the first email to the next phone call - and then meeting in person. She went out of her way to make sure our dream wedding would become a reality. The attention to detail, consideration of our time frame and special guest requirements - took a lot of pressure off our shoulders. The event went smoothly, and we will forever look back on the day and smile joyfully. We would definitely recommend Blos Cafe's service!

When sitting outside on the deck, there is never a barman in the bar. Waiters take too long to ask for orders, rounds etc. Food and vibe is good. Service can definitely be worked on.

Always ample variety of seating, indoors & outdoors. Menu is a delectable selection of all varieties of tastes. Food never dissapoints The bakery is a lovely add on, sourdough cold meats cheeses, are all amazing. Keep Up the great work Team

Great menu, lovely vibe. Just a bummer that they still use plastic straws. There are some beautiful views outside. They also have rooms available for functions.

My favourite restaurant in Pretoria. Blos is truly unique in its decor and style, and the setting makes it feel like an escape from the city. Whether you’re sitting inside in one of the airy rooms with a view of the trees, on the deck in what feels like a small piece of forest, or the cozy bunker, it feels like you’re in another world for a bit. There’s nothing like going to a restaurant that also feels like a little breakaway. The food is always fantastic and they have a great variety of options to suit every taste and preference. A very solid and tasty selection of options for vegans, which is always a win for me!

This is one of the best things which came out of covid ! It was started during covid and was like an oasis in a time when we could not enter a coffee shop. So we met at this caravan... little groups of people just trying to socialize a little. This is a lovely little stop and they even serve you at your car window if you are in a hurry. Situated just inside the gates to Blos.

Great service, atmosphere and food! And with most of the restaurant being on the first floor, literally between the top of the trees, it feels like dining in a tree house. I came to Blos and brought my family, and it was cozi, friendly, professional and full of character – not just a restaurant, but a warm and boere style experience. I loved the interior decor and the ambiance. Wooden floors, deck-style balconies, lounge areas, and many function venues and a chapel. We had Pizza's, succulent Rump steaks and great red wine, which was tastefully prepared and presented. Our kids loved the restaurant and their pizza. The restaurant is well positioned just off Olympus road across Olympus Checkers Village with great safe parking. From the friendly waiters and service staff, I definately rate Blos service 4/5 stars. I have had breakfast here, coffee breaks, lunches, dinners, casual business meetings and even hosted a function, and it has always been a pleasure. I also know someone who stayed in their B&B rooms, and it comes highly recommended as well. I would recommend Blos for any occasion, even date night. (It is important that we support venues as these, especially in the current times we are in.) Try Blos and you will not be sorry! I recommend them to anyone looking for a great time...

Lovely atmosphere. Food was good however the eggs Benedict was overcooked (asked for soft got hard). Would try them again though as my previous meals there was good. Service was friendly and lots of safe parking inside

I love this place. The food is absolutely amazing. The menu is nice and big, something for everyone. Their burgers are the best burgers I have ever had. I usually choose a restaurant based on their dessert menu, and these guys did not disappoint. I would eat there every day if I could. And the fact that it is right down the street is also a plus. Can't wait to go again.
