Had a great evening here in a great setting. The staff was well presented and knew the menu and specials well. Service was prompt on time and always friendly. Enjoyed the food. Portions are generous and prices are reasonable. My ribeye in the bone was perfectly medium and the hotplate kept it warm all the time. The Sunday desert was AMAZING and delicious. Thanks to all involved for a wonderful experience all round.

First dined her 25 years ago when it was a third of the Size and the only one. Whenever we visit SA we always take time to visit and are never disappointed. The food is always great be it the prawns or the steaks. Can't recommend highly enough. If you are in the area definitely worth a visit

We thoroughly enjoyed the outing. We've been to this specific Crawdaddy's before, and on both occasions we were satisfied. We had mushrooms for starters, very tasty and a proper portion. My wife had the chicken snitzel special with a baked potato, and I had the 500g rump. I asked for it to be medium and although it was a bit more to the well done side, it still had a pink line in the middle and it wasn't dry. I like salty food, so I had to add salt in both sides, but over-all there is nothing to complain about the food. My first beer wasn't very cold though and the glass were room temperature that together with the warm weather did spoiled the beer. Although, our waitress was very friendly and helpful. She prepared a nice cold one for the second drink and also rinsed my glass under the draft water tap to cool it down. The menu are prised a bit higher than other restaurants, but you also get value for your money. In other words, the outing will be a bit more expensive, but you will definitely not feel cheated with the size of the portions served. We both enjoyed our food, and were fully replete.

Ribs were nice and tender almost falling off the bone though the meat was lacking in flavour. The chicken strips were nice and crispy and the prawns were fresh and firm. Finished off with the malva pudding which was amazing especially the home made custard. Good value for money considering the size of the portions.

The food from this place was off the hook. We bought a seafood platter and didn’t want calamari so the chef made us more squid heads. Mussels were in an to die for garlic seafood sauce. Everything was so tasty. For a starter we bought wings with a feta based sauce those were the best wings I’ve ever eaten. Our waiter was super friendly also. I’ll definitely go back to this place. The menu prices are very reasonable for such tasty food.

This was one of the best places I have ever eaten. The service was impeccable and that really made the night for us. The food was also very good value for money.

The location is convenient and the menu has a great variety of meals. The bone marrow burger was extremely tender and delicious. Cray fish was well made and the butter sauce was amazing. The tomahawk steak tasted superb. Fairly price and the service was amazing.

Loved it here. The staff are so friendly. The food is of quality. I’ve never had such a delectable milkshake such as their Turkish Delight milkshake. They have daily specials. It is wheelchair accessible♿️

The food was great. I had 1kg of ribs which were excellent and very well portioned. Awesome atmosphere and vibe. The service was also excellent. I wish this level of service could be found elsewhere in South Africa.

Loved it! The proportions were bigger than I thought and the food was seasoned just right!, althought the lack of lighting made it hard to eat (it was 7pm ish) the candles and neon lights made it quite aesthetically pleasing and enjoyable

Took my little brother's who were visiting from P.E and honestly the entire experience was five star. Burgers were fantastic, were happy to pepper crust a T-bone for my boet and the calamari and ribs was top notch. Awesome service and quick food despite the fact the place was humming! So happy I took my little brother's here!

I love Crawdaddy’s. My goodness. I had supper here twice a month when I was a student, the food and service is exceptional. Bring your mates, family or even a date here for the perfect setting to create some memories based on exquisite cuisine.

Huge menu and great atmosphere! <br/>I had the grilled calamari and ribs combo and it was hands down the best I’ve had in Pretoria to date. There are so many options to choose from and my friends and I all really enjoyed every meal. The “Daddy’s Diddle” Carmel popcorn milkshake was heavenly.

Went to Crawdaddy's on a Wednesday night, the place was packed but not cramped. The service was superb! The menu is a bit daunting but a pleasant challenge.  Starters were incredible, I could have stuck to starters the whole night. Amazing selection of of entrees! Each of the 5 of us had something completely different and we all thought our meal was the best!

I ordered a Pemba style chicken which was delicious, juicy, nicely spiced and not overcooked. The portions are also huge! Service was quick.

I would describe the food at Crawdaddy's as 'chunky' - it's big, it's somewhat sloppy and it's all covered in grease, yet you still enjoy it. This is not my type of restaurant, but if you're feeling ravenous, this is the place to be.

I heard great things about this place and was really excited to try it out but was slightly disappointed. Great theme to the restaurant. Staff super helpful. Food is really AVERAGE but portions are good. The rest of my family enjoyed their meals and were satisfied.

Saturday at 17:30 only few tables with customers. Manager showed us to our seats. And although we had 4 waiters less than 5 yards away not one of them came to take our order for drinks let alone food. We showed very clearly we were ready to order...after 25 min we hot up and left

Crawdaddy’s def. a place myself and my wife enjoy to go to on a Sunday for a late lunch.<br/><br/>When driving up to the Bistro it looks like a normal bistro next to the road, but man Ooo man don’t be judge mental because they CAN make food for your sole.<br/><br/>The food is really tasty and great value for what you actually get for your money.<br/><br/>For starters they have a great great garlic stuffed beacon & feta roll that is truly a winner.<br/><br/>I always go for the 500g R195 Prawn option, highly highly, highly recommended with a option of lemon butter sauce and half chips/rice option Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm lovit.<br/><br/>If you are a burger lover, try out their Cheese burger also not a bad option as it is truly tasty and beefy for sure.<br/><br/>For desert I will recommend their Creme Brûlée, very close to my wife’s recipe as it should be, crackly on the top and smooth like butter on the palet.<br/><br/><br/><br/>

I have been meaning to go here for some time after a recommendation. Finally did it and the experience was exceptional. It's a vast menu and all dishes we attempted were excellent. Prawn curry, seafood chowder, seafood platter, chicken wings, oysters and fried calamari. In addition the staff is knowledgeable, friendly and the service is really top notch. Loved our dining experience over here. A definite recommend.

This is the place to visit, if you want to give your taste buds an adventure. The extensive menu gives opportunity to try many different things. The service is great, although our mains took a while to come. The food isn't the best I have had, but the food experience was well worth it. The crab chowder had a kick to it, which I loved.

The best asian soy glazed ribs I've ever had. Generous portions for a good price, I went for Valentine's Day with my boyfriend and he got a fillet steak that felt like pillows in your mouth. <br/><br/>I still came home with leftovers that still tasted amazing the day after. They are famous for there steaks as well, so I strong recommend you try one of there steak dishes😸<br/><br/>There sides are also seasoned well and quite tasty.

This place literally has everything you could possibly crave in one place. The menu reads like a novel and draws flavors from all around the world. Booking is a must tho especially during evenings.

Heard a lot of good reviews in the past about Crawdaddy, and I finally got to experience it myself.<br/>They have quite a vast menu with a bit of everything and they have unique flavor combinations. Would definitely like to go back to try a few more items off the menu. I had the Philly Peppa Burger and hubby had a Jalapeño Bacon and Cheese Burger. So good!

I have loved this place from the get go. Consistency consistency consistency!!! You ALWAYS get what you pay for. Staff are young and vibrant, oysters are delicious and fresh, restaurant is always happy and full of laughter!<br/>We generally have oysters one way, and that is in a Bloody Mary shot. Excellent food, great service and lovely atmosphere. There is a wide variety to choose from. The prices sre good and you grt real value for your money. Pepper Steak was an excellent grade of meat one of my favourite meals when hsd with mash.

Seriously good food, made with little pretence! My Dad had their T-bone special and we all ate some of it!!!!! So good and a huge portion. We also shared the mussel pot. Yum! If you are looking for great food, ice cold beer and friendly service... Head out that way soon.

The portions were generous and delicious. I had the Pemba hake - which was well cooked and covered in a delicious spicy coconut sauce. The atmosphere is relaxed, and vibey - perfect for a quick sneak out the office for lunch. I enjoyed both managers and waitstaff being very attentive.

Having been to the Craws at the Waterglen Shopping Centre a few times before, the restaurant itself in Brooklyn is not as appealing in terms of the set up and vibe. <br/><br/>However, it still cannot be faulted on food or service as they are both great!

One of my many visits back to Crawdaddy's and I am always stuck with what to choose for dinner. The meals are always cooked to perfection, filled with flavour and not over-priced. <br/><br/>This time around I chose to have the Vietnamese Chicken stir fry which was a huge portion and generously included many vegetables. <br/><br/>Always thoroughly impressed by this restuarant. <br/>

One of my favourite seafood places in Pretoria. In all my years of dining at Crawdaddy's in Brooklyn the service and food has remained good.

It's dominated by white people, with lowkey music... aura filled with laughter and sounds of chats. But generally low in sound. <br/><br/>Waiters are quite friendly all around. Very understanding, frequent checks and orders gotten properly! Quite formal and respectful too. Pleasant qualities! <br/><br/>Food is tasty, succulent, perfectly cooked and explosive of flavours. I just think they need to work on the presentation nonetheless. <br/><br/>After eating it, the initial presentation now appears like a beautiful mess. But before that, it looked like it crash landed... 🤦🏾‍♀️

We had the most pleasant running experience at Crawdaddys this past weekend. Myself and 2 friends were searching a place that was still open with good friends after an event we had attended - we walked into Crawdaddys 20 minutes before the kitchen closed. <br/><br/>The staff were ever pleasant. Our waiter even suggested a larger portion of mussels to me because he said that the start portion was quite filling. He wasn't unpleasant that we were keeping him there late and even offered suggestions at milkshake flavours. <br/><br/>The food was amazing and I found that the starter portion on the mussels was actually quite filling . <br/><br/>I will definitely visit again !

Crawdaddy's has a very laid back vibe which was perfect for my family and I.<br/>I had the Chicken Strips and Prawns and I was pleasantly surprised. The prawns were so delicious that I wanted to order more, despite being extremely full and my jeans about to pop :'). <br/>My family had the Pemba Hake, Sloppy Joe and <br/>The Pemba Style Chicken. Although I didn't taste any of the 3, I know that everyone was happy with their choice and would most certainly go back again. Their portions were also very generous which was great. <br/><br/>Lastly, if you're looking for a yummy, rich and smooth milkshake, look no further. The Oreo Milkshake is so good that you have to try it although I wouldn't advise having it with a meal as it's very filling.<br/>

Had dinner there last night. Treated myself to crayfish and a couple of glasses of Sauvignon. I ordered the larger of the crays on offer, with plain rice and a lemon & butter sauce. The grilled cray was covered in their take of spicy ingredients, which rather spoilt. The spices completely overpowered the taste of the cray. I then ventured into having another one, but asked the waiter to ask the kitchen to serve the cray out of its shell. Now, any half competent cook would know what to do. Not Crawdaddy's. They clearly grilled the crayfish and then picked out the edible flesh, bit by bit!! Crazy! Surely the 'chefs' know that you remove the entire tail, grill it and then deshell it. The waiter even apologised for the poor presentation. Wow! Guys, for R250 per crayfish, and for a restaurant that prides themselves as seafood experts, this was a poor show. I wonder if their senior management will address this. Not holding my breath. Service wasn't bad and first shift at Crawdaddy's waiter, evening waiter Daniel, was very friendly.

Amazing service, delicious food, got our food exactly how we asked it for and my boyfriend even said it was the best steak he has ever had and he is very picky, so all in all it was perfect. I don't need to say anything more but if you want good seafood and good steaks this is the place to go!

This place never fails to impress us. We prefer the one in Brooklyn but both are great. It's heated in winter. Also the waiters tend to be young students who are friendly

As a steak fanatic I can say crawdaddy's has the best quality meat in town. Service is good but frankly if your meat is of this quality then they can serve it on a paper plate and I will still be happy. Be sure to order medium to rare as the best pieces are kept for the real meat lovers.

I have been a fan of Crawdaddy's for a long time...and have been left satisfied every time. A great and extensive food menu and wine list. I don't normally eat oysters but boy oh boy I love their oysters special with all the trimmings. The staff is always friendly and efficient and the place just has a great vibe. A bit cramped though. Overall a pleasurable experience.

One of the best places in Pretoria to get nice seafood. Great service and good wholesome food. A little bit on the oily side concerning food. The place have a cosy decor and ambiance. Great for a family dinner.

I ordered the ribs and wings combo Friday evening, It taste like it was prepared the previous Sunday, stale and dry, even the manager agree it was very dry... No thanks first and last time for me. I was very disappointed consider they high rating they have on this app

What can I say, best service, best food I had for a very long time. Meat was prepared at perfection, just as I asked for. Service was excellent, alway on time, always helpful and understand the menu very well. Nice vibe and great location. I will most definitely go back.

Booked in advance for a Sunday family lunch and luckily I did as it was packed! Not much space between tables and it was a tight fit. The decor is cool and the service although a little on the slow side, was very friendly. The menu is extensive - all the usual fare and tons of combos to choose from! We had the snails potjie and chicken livers to share as starters. Most of us at the table either had the prawns special or the ribs. The food was fantastic, good portions, fresh, tasty and reasonably priced! Oh - their salted caramel milkshake is awesome -  as is the dessert they call chokolate- (mmmmmm..dark chocolate layered with biscuits) Cool spot!

My friend and I had lunch on a Friday afternoon at the Brooklyn branch of Crawdaddy's. It was a very busy afternoon, however the waiters were still friendly and the service time was very reasonable to get our food. The food was fantastic, with special mention needed for their lemon peri chicken wings - these are by far the best chicken wings i've ever had...anywhere! The only downside is that because the food is so great, its a challenge to find parking.

Back to Crawdaddy's for my all time favourite black plate prawns; yet again they did not disappoint! Perfectly cooked prawns on a bed of chips that absorb the flavour. <br/>The service is always so efficient and our waiter Andre was friendly and great!

We decided on Crawdaddy's Brooklyn as we have visited before but never got round to do <br/><br/>The food was okay. The spinach and feta spud was quite good but my son's chicken breasts lacked taste. The melanzane was the best of the three dishes. <br/><br/>The service was good, but the food took forever. <br/><br/>Must say.... we expectedly a bit more......<br/><br/>

It was about time for a date night and we decided to visit Crawdaddy's! Service was a bit slow initially and it took a while before we received menu's. However service picked up and orders arrived promptly. As we could not decide what to eat we ordered a few starters to share. We had springbok carpaccio and bruschetta, crumbed mushrooms, halloumi and calamari. Food was delicious, well presented and portions very generous.

Crawdaddy's Brooklyn is opposite the Austen Robberts Bird Park. Saturday night it had a cheerful, buoyant vibe. We secured the last table on the verandah. <br/>My Buttered Feta Steak - sirloin, basted in butter and a hint of garlic, cooked medium rare, covered in chopped red & green fresh chili then smothered in creamy Danish Feta, was delicious. Served with delectable veggie staples - grilled butternut and creamed spinach. Big servings - the side order of onion rings was HUGE! Not that we've minded 😀<br/>Duan, our waiter was super friendly and caring.<br/>A well managed restaurant.

Call me stupid, call me Ms Obvious. Call me whatever you like, but I was convinced Crawdaddy's was made famous by their steaks. Maybe it's because I received a biased initial impression from my meat-loving boyfriend, but I was overcome with delight when I read the reviews and found out that their speciality is actually seafood! I love seafood!<br/><br/>Sitting on the deck, it felt like we were suppose to by sitting in the habour with a yacht about to pass in the background, perhaps a seagull flying overhead. But no - we were in the middle of the landlocked province of Gauteng. And yet, here I was, coming to enjoy seafood at its best. Apparently... I wasn't convinced. Surely nothing could be fresher and more delicious than seafood fresh from the waters of the Mother City, my home town?<br/><br/>And yet, I was gravely mistaken. I treated myself to a sole thermidor - my favorite fish combined with a deliciously thick and creamy sauce. And a complimentary side of creamed spinach and butternut. First of all, can I just say that it was totally value for money?! R120 for TWO soles on the bone plus my complimentary sides... What madness is this? And it was delicious! The meat fell off the bone. The thermidor sauce was a bit different to what I'm use to - it was more of the lemon butter sauce, but still well worth the extra R25! My better half had the rump with a peppercorn sauce and a side of chips and creamed spinach. Back in CPT, he's a firm Hussar's fan and would never betray his beloved steakhouse, but even he admits that Crawdaddy's offers a very good second. Definitely his go-to restaurant to enjoy a good piece of steak!<br/><br/>We wanted to try their unique Dom Pedros for dessert, but we were simply too full! Next time, definitely! <br/><br/>I was very surprised - surprised by their amazing seafood, surprised by their fantastic prices, surprised by their friendly service and romantic setting. Really surprised with everything about this hidden gem! I'll definitely be returning in future!<br/><br/>TOP TIPS: You MUST make a booking! They get very full almost every night. Arrive early to find good parking and avoid the crowds. Ask for a seat on the deck if you're there on a nice warm summer evening.

So at first I was a bit skeptic to try this place out but I don't regret it one bit. The service we received here was amazing, they are so friendly and happy and smiling, it was just so nice. I tried the spin in and feta spud and honestly I thought I'm gonna get just a spud garnished with spinach and feta but to my surprise it was a whole place full sort of a deconstructed spud thing. I really enjoyed it. Some wine, great service and good company, what more can one ask for.<br/><br/>

Wow wow wow! I don't know when last I had such a good T-Bone. The atmosphere here is also awesome. I have only heard that Crawdaddys Brooklyn was good but only when I went with friends did I realise how good it is.

The atmosphere is the the highlight at this place- dimmed with candle light it certainly makes a spot for a romantic date or just a chilled calm night with friends. The steak is amazing. My favorite is the potato spud with feta and spinach 👌❤️ the waiters are all young, friendly, and go the extra mile. The portion sizes are worth while and good value for money... the seafood is certainly fresh.. only positives to say about this place..

I would've given Crawdaddy's a 4.5, since I've been here about 4 times, but during the last visit, made a reservation and got a really badly placed table. The fried calamari was a bit oily but everything else was great. The food is always on point. So about the badly placed table - my wallet got stolen from my bag right there without us noticing. A lady walked in, and walked out with my wallet. Thought this was another customer but surprisingly this is a crime hot spot. My bag was hanging on my chair. So it's not like I was being negligent. Don't sit at table 51 or that area in the corner.

I had the blacktop mussels that come in a delicious wine sauce, served with a nice bread. Great place and very attentive crew. Will certainly come back.

Wow! If you want great food in Pretoria and don't know what food-mood you're in, try Crawdaddy's. Their nautical/shipyard inspired decor os truly something for the eye. Their service is swift and friendly and their menus have a large variety on offer. A tad pricy but surely worth while. Anything from traditional curries to grills and yes, delectable seafood. <br/>P.S They have a Haägen-Dazs fridge!!!

Had a relatively decent experience at this restaurant. Little crowded and seems to be very busy in the evenings. The smoking area seemed to be the only section with open tables. The food won't win any culinary prizes. Still decent seafood and roasts. Although, I consider it plan B.

My favorite place to eat in Pretoria good service and a nice vibe 😍 everything I've tried was amazing but I go back every time for the Transylvannia special steak#1 and amazing creme brulee!!!

I really don't rate this place - not sure if all crawdaddy's are the same, but the food was very bland and the menu was way too big. About the best thing going for it was the inexpensive hansa draught beer. I had the springbok snails which were done in a floury bland sauce. My partner had the calamari starter, also tasteless. We also shared a hulumi starter - nothing to at all to write home about. My suggestion - cut your menu in half and do it properly.

Crawdaddy's has quite a reputation and after enjoying a delicious lunch here I can say it is well deserved. I ordered a chicken cordon bleu, which was everything you could want in a cordon bleu and more (we are talking cheese in two forms and two different kind of sauces). My partner ordered a steak which was delicious and cooked to perfection. It's definitely not a cheap place to eat, but the portion sizes, quality of the food and service make it well worth the money. I would recommend it highly to anyone looking for a really hearty meal. Also, the chocolate milkshakes are the best in town.

Distinct ambience, large menu selection, big portions. Good service. Not necessarily a place to go for a stunning meal but fine for Friday lunch. My steak was over cooked and tough my husband's raw.

I always see how full Crawdaddy's is and now that I've dined there, I can see why.<br/>It has an awesome atmosphere, friendly and competent staff and delicious, decently priced food (considering its quality). <br/>My partner and I halloumi cubes for starters and shared a seafood platter for mains. <br/>Needless to say I forgot to take a picture of the main, it was that irresistible. <br/>Their milkshakes were so thick they were basically sundaes but I'm not complaining.<br/>An all-round lovely experience.

We've been to Crawdaddy's quite a few times but not recently. We went this past Saturday and as usual the food was delicious...always a good vibe in the restaurant. Unfortunately our waiter wasn't the best,perhaps because he was busy. I had the Sirloin and Calamari(delicious) and the Gf had the Lamb curry. Try their steaks...you won't be dissappointed.

We went to Crawdaddy's for my brother's birthday, as usual the food was delicious. However, our waiter was overly attentive and sometimes intrusive while we were busy with dinner. The bathroom which is open, while being new gave the feeling of being dirty as the bathroom cleaning products were standing on the basin, and the paper towel dispenser wasn't working and it was just not a pleasant experience. I also don't know why they have gendered bathrooms when both are complete stalls with a basin. Also moving around the restaurant to get to the bathroom, one of which was under construction almost resulted in me getting run over by an over-eager waiter, as well as having the waiter for the table behind me bump me a number of times. So food was good but could do with improvement.

Crawdaddy's has friendly service. Unfortunately I found that the inside was quite poorly lit and seemed a bit gloomy but there is interesting decor hung all over the walls <br/><br/>I had a delicious meal of grilled calamari and chips which I really enjoyed!

Overall the best seafood restaurant out there ...in PTA.Do yourself a favour their crawdadys seafood platter for 2 is fantastic .<br/>I always add a 200g steak just for good taste/measure .GO THERE ....comparing this crawdadys with all the others .....THIS ONE IS THE BEST !!!!!

I've been going to Crawdaddy's for years and have yet to be disappointed with a meal! There service is consistently good and the food is always delicious! The vibe is very laid back and rustic and yes...this does mean the food does take a little long sometimes to arrive when it's busy, but believe me it's well worth the wait! With the HUGE menu and vast variety of food on offer, you'll be hard pressed to find someone who won't find something they like on the menu which makes this place ideal for larger groups or groups with varying tastes in food. It's WELL worth a try if you haven't been to a Crawdaddy's before!!

Amazing food, great service and really competitive prices! We drove through from Joburg because everybody raves about this place and it was definitely worth it! Can recommend the prawns but my boyfriend had a steak and that was also awesome!

Crawdaddy's is definitely of my favourite places to eat in Pretoria, I've never had a bad meal at the brooklyn Crawdaddy's and the service is always great!! My #1 meal there is the Transylvania special steak, it comes with the best garlic sauce I ever tasted and I've eaten it so many times I should own shares in the restaurant by now😁. Ps: your partner should probably eat some garlic too!!

Probably one of the best places around for foreigners to mix with the local crowd. Great watering hole and superb sea food. And its surprisingly kind on the wallet.

I usually love Crawdaddy's but I was very disappointed with the food last night. I ordered the rib and chicken strip combo with cheese sauce. The ribs were very dry and overcooked and the cheese sauce tasted very artificial. At least the creamed spinach was still as delicious as ever. My friend had the lamb chowder which she said was delicious. Guess I was just unlucky in my choice

A family favourite and always up to standard. Peri peri chicken best in country!! Good food at good prices. Try and get a table on the decking especially in summer. Will need to book ahead as can get very busy. Parking is the only downside

What a great vibe! Even for a week night, Crawdaddy's was packed and lively. I hadn't been here since my 13th Birthday back in 2005 and was really looking forward to it after reading so many rave reviews. We ordered a garlic, cheese & bacon roll for the table to share which was slightly disappointing. The bread was dry and not so fresh. We all had steaks for mains which were perfectly cooked and juicy. My magic mushroom steak was delicious. Onion rings were crisp and yummy. Creamed spinach always a winner. My mom said her chips tasted a bit stale. Service was a bit slow but understandable seeing how busy it was. It was also annoying how sticky the plastic table cloth was. Overall good night, nothing fancy.

Friday night supper is always busy but the service was excellent and our food didn't take as long as i expected.. the oysters were delicious and fresh, i really enjoyed the seafood, prawns and crayfish. the downside was that there wasn't enough starch to go with the amount of protein. Our first crayfish was overdone and without question they apologized and changed it for us, and i was impressed at how friendly and efficient the staff acted....<br/><br/>thank you...

Very best steak house in Pretoria hands down. They also make very good fish too. Never had a bad meal and always value for money. A must when in Pretoria.<br/>

Cool sprays kept the temperature down on the heated summers day. <br/><br/>My selection of the Prawn and Chicken combo, Portuguese hot flavor has to be the best prepared chicken I have tested in a long time. Flavors filled your pallet and you just couldn't get enough of it.<br/><br/>If you are a lover of both prawns and chicken, definite must try.

Very good food a great atmosphere. It is easy to spend a great night here with friends have a drink and eat to much. Parking can be a problem but it is worth driving around a bit.

Visited here with 15 hungry bodybuilders from Australia. By Australian beef standards this place was amazing. Many of our group said it was the best steak they'd ever eaten. With the conversion rate it was also very cheap for us so we tried a lot of food. Basically, there is no way you can pass up a meal here. The selection of dishes is exceptional and the service was fantastic. We were on a restricted timeframe and they happily accommodated all of us. No one walked away disappointed, in fact half of our group came back the day after. <br/>This place alone is worth the 14 hour flight from Australia.

One of our favorite treats! But remember to make a booking ! Of all the Crawdaddy's we prefer the Brooklyn restaurant. The food portions are quite large so be careful not to order "large" or "extra large". The starters are nice to share because of the large portions. They may specialize in seafood but my husband always orders and enjoys their steaks - grilled to perfection. The dessert surprised me - ice cream with salted caramel sauce (and a Flake!). The sauce was made fresh and warm. Once again, large portions. A very nice social place with good service. Try to go with a large appetite !

Had a late dinner at Crawdaddy's on Saturday.. We ordered the seafood chowder and 1kg ribs with extra onion rings. The chowder was nice, i just didn't like the fact that i had to take the prawns out to peel it (it's very hot) before i could eat it as part of my curry. I also didnt like all the potato in it but overall the dish was good on a semi rainy night. The ribs were great though! Waiter was very helpful and could actually give answers when you ask about different options and what you should order - well done!

Always a great choice for a Sunday lunch, great variety and good service! This is one of those to keep on your restaurant rotation, never disappoints!

Absolutely amazing. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our time here. Chicken livers and creamy garlic snails for starters and it was delish! For mains we had a jalapeño cheese crusted 500g rump steak, it was soft and cooked to perfection. Our waiter Andre was awesome!

Crawdaddy's is truly a favourite of mine. Be it there juicy burgers, tender steaks or amazing milkshakes they never disappoint. The rustic bar vibe of the place is great for the men while the adventurous menu is brilliant for the women. Truly a great place that caters to all.

May 29 dinner: My office friends who had previously stayed in Pretoria, had come to SA and hence on a Friday evening, decided to go to Crawdaddy at Brooklyn. The place has a good vibe and the staff make you feel comfortable. We ordered for our beers. Service was quick and we got our beers. Also ordered for the crumbed mushrooms and magic mushroom bruschetta. The crumbed mushrooms were super - fried button mushrooms with 3 types of sauces. However, the bruschetta wasn't that great and infact, after having few bites, we didn't finish that dish. For the mains, we had the veg curry - tomato based with veggies. This comes with poppadum and white rice. The curry and rice tasted nice and spicy. The service is very good. Ambience is rocking - a place to have a fun night out.

Incredible! Amazing food and amazing service! Combo meals are a must. Prawn and rib combo is delicious. Cheeloin steak is also great. Waiter was delightful. Next time i go i want to order the seafood chowder!

Crawdaddy's is a solid 4,5, with the best combo plates on their menu.. Whilst the menu is quite extensive I find myself returning and always ordering their chicken strips and prawns combo- it's incredible. Good service. Great vibe. Dodgy decor 😂 you've gotta love it.

Easily one of my favourite restaurants in Pretoria, they have a huge menu with such an amazing variety of food that it's actually sometimes difficult to order. I've never had a steak that let me down, but my absolute favourite is hands down the Thai Green Curry. It's deliciously spicy and enough to feed a family of 4 actually, but not complaining because I get to have some at home again a day later.

This was easily the worst experience we have had in a very long time in a restaurant. Don't<br/>waste your time going there. The service wasn't bad, it was non-existing. <br/>We waited for 45 min for the main course to arrive. Wine glass was not refilled once and you had to ask the waiter twice for every thing. The eisbein was quite good though. Kingklip tasty and biltong salad atrocious. The worst was saved for last in the form of a blob of frozen berries on a soggy waffle. The only thing we got in abundance was winks from the manager....seriously

Consistently good... Whether it be steak or sea food, they hit the mark every time. We had a seafood platter which was top notch. The surf and turf combos are great.. We are regulars! Just a word of warning... Don't EVER choose the garlic butter sauce, while it is amazing.. If you have any sort of human interaction the following day, it will not end well!

We had a Crawdaddy's Platter, and was certainly enough for two, one if you a REALLY hungry.  Food was fresh and prepared well, as was the accompanying Basmati rice and Vegetables Julienne.<br/><br/>If you like Dom Pedros, you must try their Nutcracker or Turkish Delight variants, they both went down well.

It amazes me at how packed Cawdaddy's is. They are loved by their fans who refuse to go elsewhere. If you wanting a romantic evening out this is definitely not for you however if you want a fun night on the town with friends then give it a go.

The best meeting spot for me and friends from the east to get together. Staff are always friendly and knowledgeable on their food. Would be nice to have a Gluten Free option of bread to soak up yummy soup :)

Another great restaurant in pretoria. Amazing. I don't know why I haven't visited Crawdaddys before, seeing as I live just around the corner. It doesn't look like much on the outside, but on the inside this place is great. Didn't get a picture of my food unfortunately, my phone battery was dead. I had the nachos which were very good. I can whole heartedly recommend Crawdaddys to anyone looking for some good wholesome chow.

Absolutely LOVE this place, the service is excellent the people are super friendly and the food is really yummy!!! The atmosphere is also awesome always!! It is a bit of a hassle if you are on crutches to get in there but overall awesome!!

I had a informal business lunch here and was a bit disappointed, the service was okay. There is not a huge selection of vegetarian meals however my guests did enjoy their steaks ordered and lamb chops. <br/>I ordered the melazane which was not very appetizing. Nice vibe and very rustic.<br/>Sadly I will not be back anytime soon

This establishment has had a great reputation for many years and you can still count on a great meal with excellent service. The wide selection on the menu offers something delicious for everyone.

What an upgrade from where we just came from. Great vibe inside the restaurant and gas heaters situated all over for added warmth. Hubby had a great seafood chowder that tasted like we were at the coast. My Cheeseburger was the best I've had in a while. (my favourite dish, silly isn't it?) The meat was moist, fresh, perfect size patty & very tasty. Great experience.

So I was craving a nice tender juicy steak for brunch, I go to Crawdaddy's and they inform me that the kitchen only opens at 11:30. So I said I wouldn't mind waiting and the waiter was very attentive and apologetic for the weight...the service was brilliant, ambiance fantastic and the steak was exactly what I was looking for! Hot juicy 500g of fillet is now sitting in my belly and I could not have been more satisfied! The side salad was however a little plain, but other than that I have no complaints. Merci!

Crawdaddy's on a Sunday, Crawdaddy's for a family meal.  Their staff are super friendly, super attentive, and basically what you look for when you go out for dinner.  Their halloumi starter is a must, and the only other reason to visit is their prawns and calamari.  Be sure to make a booking if you want to sit in the smoking section.

We have visited Crawdaddy's on many occasions. This is always the first place I suggest when we go out with friends and family for lunch or dinner and it is a great dining experience close to every time we go there. Most recently we invited a bunch of friends to join us for dinner at Crawdaddy's Brooklyn (which according to me is the best one of the group) and we made a booking early the morning to avoid the disappointment of not getting a table. When we got there we were greeted with a warm welcome as always and told them we had a booking for 8 people. The manager then told us we need to sit at a 4 seater which was also booked by someone else because a group of very sweaty men have been sitting at our table since lunch and they were still drinking. I then realized that they were only 3 guys sitting at a table for 8. I didn't understand why they weren't simply asked to swap with us. Until I realized they were friends with the manager!! "Not cool at all bro" I whispered in my head as we began to wait there uncomfortably. Trying to squeeze in at this table for 4, standing around awkwardly in a restaurant where I shouldve been sitting, they finally gave us a table 40 minutes later. Usually this doesn't happen and it was exactly what I wanted to avoid. The fact that we waited there with the hope of eventually settling down at the table we booked where everyone has their own chair, brings me to the quality of food and service that I am used to getting at Crawdaddy's.We always start with oysters. Not just any oysters, no sir. New Orleans oysters!! This is an oyster, usually quite large, topped with sour cream, a fresh salmon roll and a mild fresh salsa. They also never forget to bring the utterly important red tabasco and black pepper. We tend to struggle not washing this down with a golden tequila and so should you. I've ordered many different variations of oysters at many different places, trust me, THIS is the oyster you want to put in your mouth. They have a massive menu as many places do but, the difference is that they actually accomplish success on every single dish. They don't try to be something their not and they don't put something on the menu that they cant pull off. I would suggest a combo with Half Chicken (in any one of their fantastic flavours) and Calamari with their oh so tasty lemon butter sauce. Or a Beef fillet and Prawn combo, or a Chowder which somehow always seems to make it's way onto our table. Whatever you choose, it will most likely be a wise choice. Their seafood is great, the chicken, delish, as well as the red meats and every variation thereof.  I have never found myself complaining about service from their waiters and even less often had even close to a bad meal.It is a great place for almost any occasion, whether it's friends or family going out for a meal and a few drinks, or a romantic night out with your choice of gender, I guarantee you'll have a great time.PS. Eat their spinach!

Been here twice and loved it both times! Good seafood, chicken and love the Moroccan strips potjie! The atmosphere is good if possible get a table on the deck! Cold beer on tap and good service!

Crawdaddy's, as usual, greets one with a feeling of "welcome home". A very high standard of food and service, and a lively vibe all round. This time I had the biltong and blue cheese garlic roll to start and couldn't help but have a plate full of their famous prawns. Good evening out with family and friends and as always, leaving full and content with nothing but clean plates behind.

Where do you start? With such a variety of great food and wine...Seafood, Curry's, steaks and more, I had most of them and not one was even slightly disappointing. A medium-rare Blackbeard Pepper rump and a 2007 Alto Rough is the best choice! Enjoy!

That is a 4/5 for the ribs! So far the best rib place in Pretoria. Their house speciality sticky ribs are rather scrumptious. There is a rather pleasing asian fusion flavour to the pork. The meat can be easily torn off the bone and most importantly, it's not just bone, there's actually a decent amount of meat and fatty melt-in-the-mouth goodness. Doing a quick price comparison, for a rather large rack of mostly meat than bone 1kg ribs, it's almost the same price as a spur 600g mostly bone ribs give or take a few rand. Point of the matter is, it is fairly good value for money for what you get for a really good plate of ribs these days, and you will most certainly have a lovely mid-night snack/pre-healthy breakfast snack the next day.
