We had a great time yesterday evening here!! The food was amazing 🤩!! We had the Oklahoma Big M burger, Blue Cheese burger and BBQ wings! We both went for the 3 beer tasting! We’re definitely coming back for the food and beer tasting (this time around we’ll go for the 6 beer tasting)!!! Absolutely loved this place. They were kind enough to switch on the gas heater for us since we were seated outside! If you’re around the area, you should definitely try this place!!!

This place is like heavn to me with all the different beer, and here I thought craft beer is hard to find. Well, it is, but not at this place. This took me back to Cape Town as I am only a craft drinker who supports the locals! Great place surly my regular place I'd visit alot just because I love craft beer that actually taste good. Never had a craft beer stop by this place. The food is amazing, and beer is fantastic!

Really a great restaurant! They have a big screen plus extra TV’s so you’ll never miss the rugby/F1 games. Great music as well! Our server Fifi was very nice. The food was delicious. You get big portions for good prices. We had the 500g smoked pork ribs (R175) and the Falafel bowl (R100).

Great place, unbelievable drink menu. Food is excellent. Service is fast (although it was relatively quiet. The smoke from the fires outside were a bit to much even though we were inside. Staff were friendly. I would definitely go back.

I cannot even tell you how many times I have been to this restaurant and every time has been worth it! I love their burgers, and my new favourite burger is their Real Mac burger. All the burgers come with delicious onion rings and chips, a real value for money. They have a huge variety of beers and ales, although I’m not a beer kind of girl… I much prefer their cocktails.

If you like beer, go to Capital Craft! This place is built on a love and passion for the craft of good beer and it shows up constantly and frequently. It's truly amazingly and I thank the owners immensely! The vast, and i do mean multiple pages vast, selection of different beer on tap and in bottles is absolutely astonishing. They also do a wide selection of boutique and specialty gin, whisky, whiskey, wine and all the usual spirits. The food selection is familiar, but also unique, edgy and brave. There are the familiar burgers and German sausages, but then the chef takes you on this wild adventure to pork lollipops, Stoute Roomys and some truly beautiful vegan options, like the Cheeky-Pea Bun. The resturant and all their offerings are modern and the service is excellent, yet everywhere you look there is some small piece of iconic beer history and a legacy of what was, what is and hopeful what will be tomorrow.

Davison is absolutely top notch! Highly recommend the Wednesday Burger Special its worth every Rand. Also try the Pulled Pork Jalapeño Poppers they’re stunning!!! The beer list is always updating which is incredible for guests trying to experience new beers all the time. We’ve been coming to Capital Craft once a week for the past 5 months and it’s honestly the best vibe.

This place is really chilled and has a great beer selection. They offer beer tasting as well which is such a fun experience. The food is amazing. They have awesome snacks. Would recommend the deep fried biltong and the brisket and beer bread. The burgers are also really great. The atmosphere is super chilled but can get loud when busy.

Great setting and atmosphere to watch the Formula 1. They have an amazing selection of craft, domestic and international beers. I’d suggest trying their tasting tray. One of the few places I’ve been where you can customise your own tasting tray.

We had a great evening last night. The food was well prepared and beautifully presented (even if it was only burgers). I had the Blue Marrow burger and my girlfriend the smokey something (lol) burger. It was a pure taste explosion. With the 8 different beers and 6 different Gins we tried my tastebuds thought I might just have died and feasted in Valhalla. What was more impressive was the waitress' knowledge of the menu. The she enquired about what our general tastes were and then prompted to suggest food and beverage that she thought we might like. She was spot-on, unfortunately I can not remember her name, but while we were there I observed the other staff members too and came to the conclusion that they must all be that well trained. The venue was crammed with feasting patrons and we did not have one single glitch in service. We go out very often, but seldom do we visit the same venue twice. However, with the wide variety of choice in food and drink on offer, we will definitely visit a good couple of times. To experience Capital Craft is a must for all lovers of good food and drinks. Thank you for making our visit to your venue a memorable one.

(Capital Craft Menlo park)Relaxed vibes with the most amazing food and craft beer. I highly recommend the pork ribs which just fall off the bone and taste delicious. The burgers looked amazing and it was hard not to choose one, instead I had the BBQ pulled pork sandwich which was absolutely divine and a huge portion that i could not even finish. We will definitely be back soon to try more of the items on the menu.

Went there yesterday, under a friends request. Nice place, people friendly and some nice to view lol. Bit disappointed in the burger (big daddy stuffed) I've ordered as it was medium rare (almost un cooked) As I like weldone meat. It also smelled a bit funny and the cheese stuffing nauseated me a bit. The waiter said that is how they do it. (Lincoln).

Our waiter was amazing. We had to move to another table due to our neighbour being completely drunk and obnoxious and it was only 1pm. I loved the burger but my husband had the sausage plate and they weren't cooked properly. When we complained and showed them the raw meat, someone came over and instead of apologizing - argued with us that we were wrong. Not a great day. We'll be back but you guys really need to work on your customer service and train your kitchen staff properly, especially dealing with pork.

Our waiter was excellent and knowledgeable. He communicated so well - fast and sharp, making good suggestions and comments. The hamburgers looked fantastic. Great patties and onion rings. I had a cob salad which was not bad but not great. I think using a crisper type of salad leave like cos lettuce would make all the difference as other than that the salad was perfect. I was impressed with the different correct glasses that were used. The place is beautiful and has a lot of caracter inside but not outside. Probably great at night. Our table was really close to the big group behind us and it was quite irritating as they and the waiters kept on sqeezing past us. I would think it would be better to put big groups closer to the entrance. Other than that fabulous place. I will defnitely go there again.

It’s friendly staff, great setting in the heat of Menlopark and ambiance make it the perfect place to be surrounded by loved ones. That Beer Festival is quite something too! 10/10 would recommend.

Very mixed feelings about this place. Their drinks menu is exceptional, with great options for beer and gin. My boyfriend had the chickpea burger which was a little soggy, but with great flavour - especially the smoky tomato relish. The chips were underwhelming and the onion rings a little oily. I had the falafel bowl and was super disappointed that the avo was inedible and definitely overripe. The falafels themselves were incredible though, as was the sesame mayo. We went at about 9pm and although they only close at 12, the staff were already sweeping the floors and we were told we couldn’t sit at the booths as they were cleaning. This gave the place a pretty unwelcoming vibe. Overall, a disappointing experience although I would like to come back on a more vibey night for some drinks.

I was looking for the best burger spot in Pretoria, with a big menu and some creative juices in the burger section. Hello, Capital Craft! Firstly, as the name implies, if you’re looking for choice when it comes to your lager, draught or stout, pick and choose between more than 250 beers. I’m sure you’ll find something you like. Secondly, the local and international gin selection was very impressive and I enjoyed the De Vry Gin a lot. Then - the BURGERS! I was beyond pleased with the wide variety of burger options and the fact that they were all interesting and seemed mouth-watering. I settled on the Van Coke Smoke which was impeccable and I’ll always be back for it. Take the fries and onion rings - you won’t regret it. Portions are more than generous and if you have room for dessert, the waffles will not disappoint but rather share because they are decadently huge. The ambience is that of a classic brauhaus, so expect a lot of excited people, music and therefore big noise levels, but all part of the experience. Definitely a contender for best burger spot in Gauteng.

Tried a few craft beers as well as some Dragon Fierce Gingerbeer. The food (different burgers and ribs) eventually arrived and everyone tucked in! Food was ok, but I expected more from the 1st Capital Craft in Gauteng...

Our experience at Capital Craft was absolutely phenomenal! Firstly, the waiter that seated us made sure we were seated at a table we are comfortable with. Then, our waiter was just flawless. I wanted to order a cider and she said that it's not something that she would recommend, so instead she brought me four small samples of other ciders and she waited patiently while I tasted and decided on one. We ordered a plate of food to share. It was magnificent, a taste-sensation! We enjoyed it so much, we ordered another beer and again something small to eat. The service, food, drink, ambience and atmosphere was such a treat and we would most definitely go back there time and time again. Well done, Capital Craft!

I have always love a good pub lunch and Capital Craft never disappoints. However, the service received was very poor, empty glasses left on our table even after receiving new drinks, very slow service, non existent waiter and then we also received the wrong bill. If it wasn’t because of the fact that we were having lunch with another couple, I would’ve become seriously irritated!!!

If I could give capital craft a negative rating I would. The only positive about this place is friendly waitors. The food is disgusting and flavourless- adding cream to everything just makes the food rich not tastey. The prices are much too high for the quality of food. The restaurant itself is an eyesore- the decor is out dated, the menus appear to have been typed and printed at home and are soiled with dirt and food particles. All the beer options at capital craft aren’t enough to get you drunk enough to enjoy the food.

12.05.2018 I finally made my way to Capital Craft. We have been wanting to go on a Monday night with the ribs specials, but it just didn't happen. We came here after a show at Times Square. The Parking lot was chaos due to a function, and we parked outside. Didn't realise how many places are in the centre. However Capital was not completely full. I did find they have a slightly limited menu with a massive variety of beers (obviously). So it was a no brainer 2 of us took the Pork Ribs (unsmoked) and 2 took the burgers (Chakalaka and Big Smoke) with Chips and Onion Rings and Coleslaw. The food did take a bit long to arrive, but our waiter David was on the ball and very helpful. The portions are pretty big. The Onion rings are delicious, the chips were ok. The coleslaw didnt have much flavour i think there was too much mayo with no spices. The ribs itself were proper meat falling off the bone, the flavour however was a bit tart and not sweet like a honey basting or sticky. So was hoping more of that kind of taste. The Chakalaka burger was strong it had a good kick to it, and the Big Smoke Burger was nice but my brother wasnt 100% sold on the patty. We sadly didnt try any of the beers and they dont have much in terms of dessert. Maybe next time, but it was still a good experience.

Nice Vibey bar, with very interesting snacks. Mac n cheese balls, pulled pork jalapeno poppers, deep fried biltong, worth trying these little nibbles with your gin on tap. The winner though is the deep fried chicken livers they are just amazing. The bar is a very well stocked offering a large variety of different spirits and fantastic service. We had a nice time at this restaurant. Mojitos need some TLC.. I had the Smoked ribs, they were very nice. Burgers looked big, juicy and amazing! Chicken strips also looked appetizing. They have a Burger special (only found out after ordering our food and there are no signs stating the special.) Buy 2 for R125. Which will save you about 50 to 70 bucks. I think the Special is on Wednesdays.

My first experience there was amazing. The burger I ate was totally delicious. Unfortunately, my second visit, the burger I ordered was not like the first time. I ordered the same burger as the previous time but was just not the same. It was not as saucy as the previous time and just seemed to lack attention from the kitchens side. It seemed to have just been put together as fast as possible and then sent to the table. As for the drinks menu, I cannot find fault. The drinks menu is so huge with all different kinds of beers that it makes it hard to choose. I will definitely go back again sometime just to try out their different beers they offer. Maybe I’ll give their food another go. Overall, I still think it’s a nice place to try out.

The burgers are really very tasty, and the restaurant itself has a super cool vibe BUT even with this being said, nothing makes up for the terrible service. It really is a pity to say this, but we won’t be back. Our waitress was forgetful, rude, slow and unprofessional; and when we asked to speak to the manager, she refused to call him/her. ve this place. We came in on Monday for the bottomless ribs. I would have given a 5/5 but something didn't sit well with me regarding the bottomless offer. We where told that on your second plate:"what you don't finish you can't take home with you". I asked the waiter what it is you do with the left overs, he couldn't tell me. So we order a second round of the ribs (beef this time) and I think I might know what happens to the ribs sent back. Our beef ribs looked like two ends not finished stuck together with some loose meat to make it look like one. The basting would seem to be made to cover up something too. Very sweet-sour. Any way, we should have just kept to to the first round of delicious smoked pork ribs. Service, as usual, very friendly and on the ball. Would I go again, hell yeah. Would I order the all you can eat ribs. Not really, luckily the menu offers many fantastic alternatives. So viva Capital Craft. But seriously, what do you do with the ribs?

Beer options here are endless. I'm not a beer drinker but i enjoyed the beer the friendly waitress suggested to me. To eat, I had steak with a dollop of butter on it served with chips and deep fried onion rings... And it was delicious!The only negative thing i noticed... We sat outside and it was dusty and a bit messy. Would i go there again? Yes! Follow up: I went there again and I enjoyed it so much. I had the on tap cherry beer to drink. To eat I had a mutton bunny chow and my partner had a deep fried chicken burger. Everything was so delicious! The bunny chow was perfect, flavourful but not too spicy. And they serve it with a dollop of yoghurt if you do find it spicy. They didn't have electricity so we couldn't have grilled menu options but next time I go I'll try the pulled brisket sandwich. The description on the menu makes me have to try it.

We have been supportive customers of Capital Craft for years. Their food is usually top notch. I'm a vegetarian and I usually order one of their veggie burgers when we eat there. On one such visit I ordered the Chicky Pea Bun. The burger tasted like it was fried in the same oil as what their bacon is fried in. The whole burger tasted like bacon, which as a vegetarian, made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I found a suspicious looking pink piece of something inside of the burger which, to me looked exactly like meat. I find this utterly unacceptable and irresponsible of them. As a vegetarian I choose not to eat meat and rely on these establishments to prepare food accordingly. This experience was really horrible for me and I am mortified by the thought of possibly having eaten meat. I am very upset to be writing such a bad review for a place that is usually very enjoyable but I feel that it is important that people are aware of their negligence when it comes to things like this. It has completely changed my perspective on their quality of food that they serve to customers.

Went to Capital Craft for a bite and something different to drink, now we go there knowing the service isn't great so we don't expect much. But this time was just ridiculous. We seated ourselves after there was no one to do so (understandable, they're busy). Then waited 15 minutes and I decided I'll just fetch us menus. Another 20 minutes go by and no one has even looked in our direction. We ask 3 different people before a waitress comes to serve us. Drinks only took about 15 - 20 minutes so that was fine. Then we order food (we're the grumpy when we get hungry type) but we didn't complain and waited over an hour before politely asking our waitress if it was still coming. Our meals came in 2s shortly after the manager came to our table. We saw our waitress about 3 times throughout the night. Then when paying she was cheeky enough to ask a friend to pay a rounded up number because it's "easier to calculate" (what are you calculating?) then checks the bill to make sure we have paid enough and then puts in R10 more into the card machine than boyfriend asked for! He sadly only realized when he was home. I mean the food is good and it's nice to have different choices for drinks but Hudsons - The Burger Joint does the same and has good service. I understand being busy but then hire more staff for peak hours or don't accommodate that many people perhaps? Overall the experience left us all with a bad taste leaving. Can't say we will be in a rush to go back.

This is quite a go to spot. It feels like you're in a classy student bar with a general freedom in the air. With their wide range of drinks your bound to find something that suites you or in my case many somethings. The food, from their starters to their mains, is nice and hearty and even though their onion rings and chip sides are the star of the show their side salad is detailed and delicious. The meat used in their dishes is good quality and their good combos know how to hit the spot just right.

I've been to Capital craft several times, all pleasant experiences. This time was no different. We all had burgers, from the boys who had the Real mac and Big daddy burgers, the the vegetarian girls - I had the mushroom burger and my sister had the Cheeky pea burger. Mine was the best vegetarian burger I've ever had- the mushroom kept it from being heavy and the flavours were spot on. The onion rings are possibly the best in town...We also had a beet the heat salad, which was amazing but a bit of a stingy portion for the price- though the accompanying Soweto brew apple ale granita was a sensation. Service is great, there are HUNDREDS of craft beers from around the world, and the menu is kept interesting with (seemingly) seasonal changes. My only complaint is a few of the vegetarian options (bean bunny chow and tomato soup) have been removed- reducing our choice.

The venue is just way to busy for the amount of staff on duty, we were a table of 15+ and had to get up time and time again and order from the bar as the waiter was just nowhere to be found!! Our waiter PJ was super friendly and knowledgeable, having tasted the beer himself, he is able to make recommendations and give you an idea of what to expect from the various beers. The beers we tried: la trappe witte trappist, la chouffe (brasserie d'achouffe), fokof lager, garagista tears of the hipster (from the floating tap) and CBC Harvest Lager (also floating tap). Food wise we had the Big Mamma and The Big Daddy Stuffed Burger. Both absolutely delicious and value for money. The service is good and friendly, food and drinks are pretty quick to come out as well. It is located in a shopping centre, so it is very chilled, but it can also get busy so best book to make sure you get a table.

I decided to go there and have a chilled afternoon. I had an awesome one, they have about 215 different craft beers. Obviously I couldn't taste all of them. I had 5 different and I ended up falling in love with crackerjack, an Indian beer. I enjoyed te waffles too, for very thug was great there besides the condition of the table. It was so dirty, it took them a while to clean up.

I went to capital craft for their beer day beer fest. We paid R250 for bottomless craft beer and it was glorious. Their beer selection is unmatched and their food is just brilliant. We all had burgers and I had a panko crumbed, spinach and feta stuffed chicken burger with a creamy basil sauce which was to die for. I tasted the beef burger aswell and the jalapeño popper and they are both to die for. If you're looking for a beer adventure with outstanding food, capital craft is the place to go. The best burgers I have ever tasted. They offer a selection of specialty burgers all sounding better than the previous. I had the chicken fillet burger with peri peri. A generous portion with the chicken prepared to perfection. The van coke burger was the standout. Definitely worth a try. Its a smoked patty with mozzarella,avo and bacon. We also come here often just for the drinks as they have a neverending beer list. Capital Craft is a Pretoria gem that everybody needs to experience in their life.

Capital Craft is great! We usually go early (read as soon as they open their doors!) because it is a very popular spot and can get quite busy. Visiting Capital Craft is always a treat. If you are a beer lover, the options are fantastic (just over 200 different options!!). Local, craft, imported, selected limited editions - you are bound to find something new and exciting to try. Even if you are not a regular beer drinker, the assortment of perrys, ciders and fruit beers may just change your mind. Add a selection of cocktails, milkshakes, rum, gin, whisky, etc and it is only your own fault if you stay thirsty. The food is great as well - pub grub, but leveled up. If gourmet burgers is your thing, this is the place to be! Even ribs, hotdogs, salads - all the dishes I've had at Capital Craft were simply mouthwatering. We tend to go for early lunches, and even then it can get quite busy at this hugely popular spot. At our last visit we had the corn dogs for starters, and I had a vegetarian burger, named the Cheeky-Pea Bun (crispy falafel patty shallow-fried and topped with fresh onion, lettuce, tomato and a slice of cheddar cheese). This place will knock your socks off if you love beer! Their menu has pages of beer varieties, my favorite is the cherry beer OMG it's an absolute must have. The service is slow but most times been very busy so maybe additional behind the counter staff is needed on weekends. Food is good but something has changed, the smoky flavour is either too strong or the basting sauce is too strong. All gets a bit much, the pulled pork used to be served with sour bread now it's on a brioche bun (very heavy). The fries are good when you get one that's cooked enough, most tend to still be hard. All in all it's a good place to go and socialize!

The staff are always pleasant and willing to have a quick chat. The food is good. The jalapeño poppers are a must for everybody. The have great baskets and vegetarian options are decent. It's a gear place for a quick drink or to drown your Saturday afternoon. The decor and design shows the work put in was worth it.

First visit was great. We only had snacks and drinks. Today we went for a lunch with about 6 people. The service was terrible and we needed to keep asking for our waitress. The hostess was very friendly and helpful in helping us find our table to join. The food was average and isn't somewhere I would excitedly go for food again. One order was incorrect and the waitress didn't even apologise. We ended up placing a new order and taking the incorrect order home. If you're into beer, then obviously this is the kind of place to go to. Maybe a great idea would be to increase the number of waiters on busier days.

Both inside and outside settings embrace you like a mothers hug. I have never had a problem with staff or service and the owners are always thinking of creative new ways to make you return be it with their menu or attractions.

The perfect place to go for great beer and delicious food (mainly burgers) Their jalapeño poppers are one of my personal favourites, and possibly the best in Pretoria! Tonight I tried the big daddy burger and made the right choice in doing so.. You definitely get your money's worth at this hub, that is Capital craft! I also got to taste the mushroom burger with an extra patty which was also very flavoursome. For something new we tried the gin platter, which is the gin & tonic on tap, done 6 different ways: - as it comes - orange zest - slice of cucumber - strawberry and black pepper - mint bitters - bitters with a slice of lemon They were all something new and very tasty with the mint bitters being our least favorite flavour. My only suggestion for better service would be to improve the waitrons attentiveness to tables. This wasn't my first time at Capital and definitely won't be my last!

Great burgers and snack platters and other nibbles etc are on offer, and a large warehouse kind of seating vibe with wooden tables and benches. This is home to me. Every weekend gets started off here! Their endless list of alcohol keeps you coming back! A bit pricey but definitely worth it, it is craft beer after all. Their food is super affordable and yum too! Great burgers! Fall off the bone ribs (greatest I've tasted yet) and they aren't shy with the quantity either! I'm not even surprised by how packed it gets here I genuinely don't mind being on a waiting list for a table when it comes to capital craft. The wait is always worth it.

WELCOME TO THUNDERDOME! Capital Craft is by far my favourite venue on this planet. What more could you ask for, a great vibe, awesome food and a massive range of craft beer. There really is something for everyone here. I'm not going to get into the craft beer discussion right now, but I will mention my favourites : Standeaven Watermelon Lager is the best (when they have it and watermelons are in season), Bone Crusher, Belgian Amber Ale, Rekorderlig, Black Horse Ginger Berry, Dragons Fiery Ginger Beer... I'll leave it at that for now. If you're coming with a few people, I would really recommend a reservation. I would definitely recommend a reservation if you want a table in the smoking section, as you need to either smoke there or walk to the parking lot to have a puff. If the rugby's on, good luck finding place to sit. This place has always been busy every time that I've been there, but it has such a great vibe. From the food side, what more could one ask for with a good beer. The best item on the menu is the Smoked Pork Ribs. I rate these as the best ribs that I've ever had and if anyone has had ribs that can compete with Capital Crafts, then please drop a note in the comments! For starters, we had the crumbed chicken liver nuggets and the pretzel bread. I cannot tell you which one is better, as they're both exceptional! To eat, I naturally went for the ribs (I cant come here without ordering the ribs) and the new addition, the Little Miss Piggy (I cant remember the exact name), which is a pie of pulled pork, pork belly and I cannot remember the last pork item. But hey, a pie of pork 3 ways and what a good pie... see what I mean. Fantastic place! I can only fault them on their service being too slow at times, but I totally understand that considering how busy this place can get. I'm definitely not going to let that spoil their rating though, as it really isnt that bad. If you can, then make your way to the Capital Craft Beer Festival (there's one on the 11 June)!

Another worth while afternoon visit and time well spent. Rating would have been higher but seriously the service is average. I figured out that the bar is controlled by one or two barmen and this puts pressure on the waiters. Not a big beer drinker but I am impressed as they have the best beer selection in South Africa. The food is tasty and you get exactly what you expect from a great pub (reminds me of my time in London with great beer and SA accents lol). This place would make any British pub proud. Good new burgers. Quality place to be on a Saturday.

Two things: Craft beer. Crappy service. These lads have such a great concept going, but staff can simply not keep up with the traffic, especially on weekends, when crowds move in from the next door market to have a drink and dinner. They definitely have a great selection of beers, even though they err on the pricey side, but also great atmosphere and concept all-in-all. We have waited at least an hour for food every time we visited, which is not too impressive and food is not the best we've had, but for a quick after work drink this is definitely the spot!

Great beer, great food, bad service. My friends and I were welcomed by a less than pleasant hostess, I'm sorry you hate your job, love, rather quit than act like a brat. Got to the smoking section and we were seated by another unfriendly staff member, telling us to "sit down wherever". Friendliness and manners are both free guys, it's not that difficult to comprehend and apply. Had a menu in my hands scanning through it when another waiter came and literally took it out of my hands and said "can I take this" whilst walking away with it giving it to the table right next to us. Ordered our food. Waited 65 minutes for it to arrive. On the menu they asked for a 45 minute wait for food when the restaurant is at full capacity. Which it was. But 20 minutes over 45 minutes seems a bit much. Especially because everyone around us, who came after as, got served their food first. Now. The food is freaking amazing. Literally. Amazing. Had a classic Capital burger without the bun and the side salad. The meat was so tasty and the sauce over the top was so flavorful. The best burger I have ever had. Hands down. This rating is based solely on the food. I'm assuming everyone just had a bad day and next time when I go back (which I will, because food- seriously) everything will be better. Excited to go back and give it another go.

The service is great (PJ one of the managers is the G.O.A.T) the vibe is also fantastic. It's a relaxed place where you can drink and have a good laugh amongst friends. The food is good and the portions are rather generous and there is a lot of alcohol to choose from which is what makes it my kind of place!!

Went here with friends for a birthday lunch on a Sunday. Although far from where I live, it was a pleasant day out. This is the spot to go to to hang out with friends and enjoy beer. What I loved about the place is that there are so many different beers available that you do not find at most craft beer places. And they have tasting options which were just the best. Decided to try out some platters, which were average, but my steak was done to perfection! The reason for a 3.5 however, was the service. The place was not at all overly busy, but our waiter still managed to mess up drinks and food orders that ended up in me only getting my food over an hour after I had ordered. Other than this though, the afternoon was good - but that’s probably because of the company I was with. As it is far (I live in JHB), probably will not be back for anytime soon as I can find the same if not better vibe closer by.

Craving some craft beer, we went here for a specific no 3 Fransen craft beer. Out of the pages and pages of craft beer, I was disappointed not to find it on the menu. I then ordered the Watermelon lager from page 1. What a beaty. Would recommend this for any lady. Boyfriend had the Fokofpolisiekar beer and then Jack black. This was tasty aswell. Ordered a Soul food platter which consists of Ribs (good), chicken wings (good), chips, big onion rings and jalapeño poppers (this was the best poppers I had in a long time, as they cooked the poppers - meanimg if you bite through it, the cheese doesn't squirt out), and bbq + mayo dipping sauce. The waiter was good and well informed about the whole menu. (Thanks Ronald). Atmosphere was good, but the seats in the smoking area was not well planned and walking-by customers kept bumping against us. Over all a nice place for beer.

Capital Craft has never ever disappointed me. I have been there countless times and it's still not enough. I want to order everything off of the menu. The service is a bit slow but that is probably because of how ridiculously busy they always are. Their drinks selection are extensive and I always like to try something different everytime I go. I have ordered the jalapeño poppers, the crispy chicken livers and the pretzel as starters before and I fell in love each time, wanting more and more! I have always ordered a burger from them, so I decided to order a steak this time, with roast vegies. The steak was topped with bone marrow, one of my favourites! It was one huge steak, I was really impressed. It was cooked exactly to order and the vegies were exactly how I like them, still crispy and crunchy. I would recommend Capital Craft to anyone and always take my out of town friends there.

Looking at the venue the staff seem a bit frantic and my guess is to serve the packed environment and once I got to my table I knew why. This is a popular place to young and old. Service a tad slow to my liking but as you can see from my rating, I was a happy customer. The menu offers you are wide range on great craft beer that's a big plus and a couple of strange variants. Well, to each their own. On the food front they offer a limited menu in my opinion, but the food is tasty, looks gorgeous and smells amazing. Their snack menu is perfect for the not so hungry and heavier options for the big eaters. My only negative: the host was dressed way to informal. Accompanied my beer loving husband to Capital Craft. And were they busy last night! Packed with tables spilling on the grass outside. Exuberrant beautiful young people enjoying the Friday evening. They serve craft beer - a list of 100 both internationally and locally produced - there should be something for everyone. I had Aces Lager - produced in JhB by two brothers as well as De Bitburger Pilsener - Germany's draft beer no 1. The food - yummy. Pub food on a higher level. More comtemporary than regular pub grub. Rich, to soak up the beer: Craft Bitch - thick German sausage with beer glazed caramelised onions (almost an onion chutney), rocket, parmensan shavings, dijon mustard and tomato. Green chilli sauce on the side. Perfectly cooked giant onion rings - crispy outside, inside soft and sweet. Wonderful! Fall off the bone ribs - yum. Expect a cheerful din, it goes with the territory :) Capital Craft gons behoorlik op 'n Vrydagaand, selfs in eksamentyd!

I had a great time here. Its perfect for a get together with friends on a Sunday night . I had the milk and honey ale and the cherry beer. Unfortunately the kitchen was already closed . Went to Capital craft on Friday night to meet up with friends already there, late after I had finished work. The waitress was amazing and very attentive getting everyone's orders spot on even though we were a large table and she had her hands full with the restaurant being busy. The selection of beers here always startles me, making me try a different beer every time I visit. I managed to place an order for food just before the kitchen closed (my fault arriving late) and they helped me with a smile and no problems at all. The carpaccio was something very different and very delicious and my boyfriend had the Craft burger which he said was one of Pretoria's best burgers. Keep up the good work. We will definitely keep on coming here.

Well we lost the rugby. But today has been a good food day. After fine dining at De Kloof we made the quick drive to Capital Craft. With the claim to fame of having a huge beer menu and about 25 on tap. I had to Drink beer. And ale. It was good. Served cold. And the taster 160ml allows you to sample it before ordering a bigger drink. We ordered some snack platters and they were tasty and substantial. But the burgers are what grabbed my eyes. I didn't get to try one. But they do look good.

Local, international, unknown, famous, infamous... I wasn't that hungry so I had the deep fried chicken livers with bbq sauce - they were delish and were very generous in their portions, overall good flavor and a nice snack. My friends just had good things to say, they had the capital craft burger that came with bacon and the other was the big smoke. Their onion rings are to die for by the way A great lunch !

I went to Capital Craft for the first time yesterday! I was so excited as all my friends love the place. When we got there we were lucky enough to get a table inside, and because of the heatwave it was boiling outside, so luckily it wasn't to busy at the time. However, it is quite loud inside, so if you looking for somewhere quieter, sit outside. Their collection of craft beers and ciders is quite outstanding, and even if you are not a beer lover, trust me there will be something to suit your needs! My favorites are the Apple Ale, and the Watermelon Beer (I can't remember the brand names of the drinks) The food is also to die for! You have you try a burger! I recommend the Van Coke Smoke. (Named after local band, Van Coke Kartel) this burger complements the bands sound really well, and is probably one of my favorite burgers of all time. I will be going back to Capital Craft! You should try it out. You won't be disappointed!

Beer and Burgers! This is a fantastic place with a really great vibe. It's almost always busy (come on a Friday after work and you'll struggle to find a table), which is an indication of how popular it is. The range of beers available here is more than anywhere else in Pretoria, and possibly the whole of South Africa! There are around 12 permanent beers on tap, with a couple of 'floating taps' which change regularly. You can try these beers in sizes ranging from 160 ml (a small taster) up to 1 litre. There are also hundreds of locally, nationally and internationally brewed beers - so whatever your beer taste, you're sure to find something you like here. Service is a little slow when it's really busy, but there are lots of menus around, so you can use the time to check out your options and pick a really great beer. It's a great place to meet up with friends, especially while the world cup is on - they're showing matches live on the screen outside! The food is great too. A burger is the perfect accompaniment to any of the beers, but the Sirloin steak is highly recommended too. Even for those who aren't on the pulse with the craft beer movement, there are some lagers available - so no excuses not to get down and try it out.

A burger is a burger is a burger. Apparently not when it comes to Capital Craft. We visited the place yesterday evening as part og a group of about 14 people. What a pleasing experience. Although the establishment were packed, we had a nice table and did not feel crowded at all. The service were good and the waiter being very attentive to make sure that nobody's glases were emty for long from the wide variety of excellent beers. But the food is great. It not just a plate of food. No sir. Every dish is done to perfection. The chips is made from "real" potatoes, the onion rings were the best I had in a long time and the burger whatever the combination u ordered were excellent. Some of the people in the group ordered platters with ribs, chick and jalapeño poppers that were just yummy. Definitely a place to visit if you just want to relax with good food, excelent beers and a bunch of friends.

Dear Capital Craft, I love you... Yes, your prices are high but your food is amazing and your beer is even better. With friendly staff it makes up for when the service is slow during busy times, which is understandable. I've found that the music inside is sometimes very loud blearing over the 100 odd people inside and when you're trying to order a beer the barman has to lean in real close while you shout in his face. Rude, but necessary, in order to get the right. Every Time i've been there everyone in the party has thoroughly enjoyed themselves and say they will come back. Bravo Capital Craft! Bravo!

Such a great place to meet friends for a craft beer and good food. The restaurant is lively and buzzing, I would recommend coming early to keep a table, especially on weekends, it gets very busy. They have an impressive range of craft beers, something for everyone. The pretzels are amazing for a snack with a beer, I can also recommend the salads and burgers. The service can be a bit slow, but it is understandable looking at the amount of people there.

I've always imagined myself as a vicarious traveller ... Switzerland on the snow capped mountains, the Red light district in Germany or the beach in Rio. Capital Craft with it's variety of ciders and beer fulfills the traveling bug. You don't really get to taste all the beers ( well I think ) . I got to have the Rekorderlig premium strawberry-lime flavored cider and its ABSOLUTELY amazing and I recommend it . I'm a huge fan of anything fried and chicken ( those are not independent of each other ) .... But the ones I had weren't that amazing but rather - I'm hungover and I need to eat and I might just throw up in my shirt type of taste ( we had one left over and we didn't even fight over it ) . The service was great and the waiter didn't have to ask me twice if I needed the wifi password. The atmosphere works well with the sunny weather of Pretoria's spring time. Friday night excursions with the gang with beers and burgers like we just got off the subway to only almost miss it at midnight - the scene I've put myself in at the restaurant . Always my number one place to go to for a couple of brews and some damn tasty burgers. The big smoke burger is always a winner. The chefs know what they are doing. Its really easy food but done perfectly. They recently introduced a smoker and they are constantly experimenting showing lots of innovation and im sure that they will continue to improve. Jalapeno poppers are amazing, chicken livers are amazing, onion rings done to perfection, hand cut chips are great. Always feel guilty afterwards but definitely worth it. Keep it up guys

The best craft beer place in all the land! They have a HUGE selection of beers and some really delicious platters. My favourite beer is Lindeman's cherry beer, it tastes like red Fizz Pops. Also be sure to try their beer testers. You get to choose 6 125ml (or something like that) beers to try. You can mix and match it as you like.

I've been there twice now and, even though I had a good experience both times, I won't say it lived up to my expectations. I love the decor and vibe. It fits perfectly with the craft beer theme. The beer tasting and choices are also exceptional! A definite must for beer lovers. What disappointed me was the service. Even during a quiet time of the day it was hard to get any waiter's attention. I also felt like it was just too busy and cramped for my taste. This won't bother most people, but for me the lack of space and attention (from the waiters) ended up being annoying. But still - awesome place for a Saturday afternoon hang. @

A good way to spend a Saturday afternoon is going to Capital Craft for a beer and a meal. We were 2 people who shared this platter - can't remember the name now.. Think it was the Soul Platter. Great chicken wings, big jalapeno poppers and smokey ribs. Really worth it, the dipping sauces are also great! We ordered the chicken liver nuggets as an add on, interesting way to serve chicken livers and it pays off-we love it. Although it is very busy and you could end up waiting for a table for a few minutes, i would definitely recommend going there for good food and a great vibe during the day. The burgers look awesome!! After seeing so many reviews about their amazing burgers and food, I cannot relate nor join in the excitement. We asked for our burgers well done, but the patty was so hard, I struggled to cut it. No chef, a well done burger should still be a bit juicy, not hard and rubbery. I kept on eating, because I Iove the taste of coriander in a beef patty. I ordered extra cheese sauce on the side. It was a bit curdled. Almost as if it was just warmed up from the day before. It's a great place if you like the 'German beer garden' type of restaurant. The atmosphere was static and lively, so if you like that type of environment, you'll enjoy it. Their selection of beers and ciders was impressive, even though I'm not a beer drinker. I wanted to taste some of them. Our waitress was lovely. She was attentive and served us quickly.

A friend suggested Capital Craft during a day of exploring PTA, and I was pleasantly surprised. They have the biggest selection of craft beers to choose from that I have ever seen! And from what I could see other tables ordering, their burgers seem to be the go-to. I had one with a wood fire medium cooked beef patty, cheddar cheese, gherkins and tomato salsa, and it was really tasty. It came with a generous serving of French fries and a few fried onion rings. This restaurant is laid back and vibey, with a large outside section and the waiters were friendly. I'll definitely go back again!

I love the feel of this brewery kind of restaurant. They have a large variety of beer that will swing your tastebuds from one end of the taste spectrum right to the other end. Their busy atmosphere invites you into a sophisticated pub decor ambiance with enough energy to never dissapoint a thristy (hungry) heart. Had a great amount of craftbeer testers as I'm not much of a beer professional myself. The Iron maiden beer is pricy yet worth it. This little gem of a pub is well worth a visit for there impeccable taste in beer. I commend the food and the chef. It's always on point and gloriously good!

What a venue! Love the look and feel. Informed or well trained staff guide you through the beers if you are indecisive like me. The chicken wings taste like nothing without the spicy sauce. And the pulled pork sandwich isn't what it's cracked up to be. But my oh my the burgers redeem the kitchen performance as a whole. Definitely go for the mushroom burger. Portions are nice and big. I would return but will probably eat beforehand unless I want a burger.

I love Capital Craft. Great vibe, silly huge amount of drink options and chicken wings with bbq sauce that would shame any other restaurant that claims better. The waiters are friendly and do what they can to help you. It does suck that if you want to smoke or hub you have to be in the smoking section and not just outside so you land up being smelly but other than that it's great. Some of the waiters and bar men need better training ESP if you come in for a recommendation or a comparison but there are a lot of options. CC is always a good place to go with friends.

The waiter is obviously passionate about fermented drinks and he is truly up to date with new beers and very knowledgeable about all of them. Learned so much and had a spectrum of flavours. What a colourful evening.

Went here last night. The ginger beer is delicious as are the jalapino poppers! Although service was quite slow the food was great once it arrived. This is one of the only reataurants I know of who prepare fresh home made chips, instead of chalky frozen chips. Onion rings are delicious! The crispy chicken burger was slightly dry. The beef burgers had no complaints. The jalapino cheese sauce that comes with the rump steak had a very funny synthetic taste. Overall great experience and will be back. Wonderful vibe!

5/5 for initiative. Capital Craft showcases a movement of society that is snowballing with popularity. Craft beer. All the beer from what seems like the entire country and more is on display for the average joe to indulge in. Prices are the best I've seen yet in comparison to other restaurants. Food is well priced too. Perfect for lunches. Not having reservations compliments the setting of a burger bar. Yes there is often a time when all seats are taken which might frustrate a few, but not me. There's always a spot at the bar. The best place to start.

My favourite bar in Pretoria. The selection of beers and whiskeys are great and the bar staff always recommend something great. I recently sat down for a meal for the first time. Our waiter, PJ, was quick, friendly, funny and really informative. We ordered the Big Smoke and the Porcini burger. The Big Smoke has to be one of the best burgers I have had. Really, really good flavour and seasoned perfectly. I really liked the chips and onion rings as well. The Porcini Burger was good as well. My only problem is that it gets TOO busy sometimes (but that is just my agoraphobia talking). I will keep on coming back.

Great place with great vibe. The food is not fine dining but do you really want anything but a burger when you drink amazing craft beer? The burgers are great. The selection of beer is out of this world, It is a great place to visit for a saturday lunch before rugby at Loftus. I will be back again. The only thing I thing they can improve on is the toilets. the male toilets smell horrible.

A finer experience than hooters with better beers and alcohol varieties. Not really the place if you are looking for a meal but none the less pub grub is available. They even have sissy beer for someone like me who doesn't like beer, was more of a cherry cider.

Came for a quick lunch. My first beer wad flat but that's understandable what is not acceptable is the two waiters in front of me having a fat conversation while I'm trying to eat and have a beer!! The ribs have great flavour but this time there were a little old like they were made on the weekend and today is wed.

The jalapeno poppers are amazing! Love the Kriek beer! Very busy on a Friday night but the atmosphere is great. They have a good variety of beers. Considering the amount of customers the service was very good. Don't know of any other places in Pretoria like this. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

We were looking for a place to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, and eventually decided on Capital Craft. It turned out to be a wise decision. We hadn't booked (as I understood from their website that they don't take bookings for Tuesdays (also why they lose 0.5pts on the rating)), and the place was packed when we arrrived. A very friendly waiter by the name of Dayna approached us, and said she would "reserve" one her tables for us, where the clients were about to leave, and suggested we order something from the bar while we wait. Not long after we got our "green" beers, the table became available, and we sat down. They were having 4-for-3 specials on some of their beers, so we ordered one of those. We had ordered 2 of the same beers on the special, but had not realised that they were on special, the barman didn't say anything about the special either (so another 0.5pts rating points lost for that). We order the Irish Stew and Mash that was on special for St. Patrick's, which was fresh and tasty, and didn't take too long to arrive, considering how busy they were (+0.5). We could see that Dayna was rushed off her feet, but never felt that she neglected us, and it showed in the tip as well (+0.5 for Dayna). Overall our experience was great, the food was delicious, and service excellent considering how busy they were. We will definitely recommend Capital Craft to friends, and will certainly be back!

Great place to hang out with a couple of friends. We really enjoyed the wide variety of beers to choose from, and it feels as if one can never tire of them. I ordered a bone marrow burger, which I enjoyed immensely. The other items on the menu also look quite tasty. It is however a bit expensive and service is slow. Overall a great place to meet with friends, however, make sure to go early as it is hard to find an open table at any time of day.
