Black Bamboo - Pretoria - Photo album

The food was exceptional, and Francis our waiter was a real treat . We had the fillet , perfectly cooked with a Ceasars salad with the best dressing I've ever tasted.
Have previously enjoyed lovely dinners here pre-covid when the place was called the black bamboo & was delighted to see it has been reopened under new management, however, there was a very limited selection of menu items and wines, we even ended up ordering bottles from a different restaurant for d
Delightful as always. Perfect ambience, delectable cuisine. Choosing Blaq is always a stellar decision.
I had a special dinner at there. At that time, there were few wines, but usually they have a lot kinds of wines. The dishes were also nice.
Black bamboo has been on my must visit list for a while now and I finally had the opportunity to go. The restaurant itself is quite nice, nothing overly pretentious just very nicely decorated with lots of Anton Smit sculptures inside and out. The service was unfortunately not exactly what I expected
I went the The Black Bamboo for the first time and tried the 7 course wine pairing menu. We were welcomed with a house cocktail. The food was absolutely delicious. The portions are small so you are able to actually eat and enjoy every course !! You receive about half of a regular glass of wine, whic
One of the best fine dining experiences in Pretoria. Excellent service goes without saying. Great atmosphere - stylish yet relaxed. The food is art. You don’t only pay for top notch ingredients and the time to prepare every element to perfection, but also for the knowledge, skill and artistic instin
Proper 5 start dining at its best. I celebrated my 30th birthday here. The restaurant was quite packed. Service was great, food was amaze balls but the portions are quite tiny, because it's sooooo good you want some more. Pricing is expected for such an establishment. I recommend the yellow velvet
Oh my word, what an amazing experience. My hubby and I came for a lunch, and from the moment we stepped in, we were in awe with everything from the architecture, the art of Anton Smit, the music, the service and then the food......we had the 7 Course set menu. It was AMAZING!!!! We could not as
The food here is very delicious and the presentation is good but there is no extra special fine dining experience. It feels like you are at a upmarket restaurant nothing unique. So the pricing doesn't match the experience expected.
This is a tough one to review because it was both brilliant and bad at the same time. Wine selection is excellent. Starter was very good and the dessert was a work of art. Our disappointment stems from 2 things: 1. The main course was disappointing. The chicken dish was a little bland and unintere

The food was DELICIOUS! The waiter was AMAZING! Excellent services! Great atmosphere. Questionable water though.
Incredible Food! Chilled vibes, best way to spend an anniversary. The new menu is superb. Compliments to the Chef. Thank you to Ben John for the excellent service.
Enjoyed our visit. A small and inconspicuous little corner. Although the menu is small, the food is great and staff is friendly. Liquor list is also a little limited. An overall great evening and would recommend a visit.
I love everything about this place. The ambiance, the service, the warmth, the neutral colours on the decor, the smiles from the receptionists right to the restaurant, the food and dessert scrumptious just never disappoints. I always look forward to my friends annual visits so I can also enjoy thi
