Review Asada - Port Elizabeth

Fantastic food and even better service. First class seafood, fresh trout farmed 30 minutes away at the owners farm. Delicious tender pit cooked short ribs. The manageress made our wedding anniversary special. Highly recommend.

Was crazy busy, so we had to wait a while for food and drinks. Nevertheless our waiter, Dylan, as well as who I assumed was the manager came around to every table to make sure everyone was being helped given the circumstances. The place has a great vibe so you won't mind waiting a while if it's busy. Amazing food and cocktails as well.

Superb concept with flawless execution! A truly unique restaurant in the heart of PE's food district.

We truly enjoyed our visit to this restaurant. The owner knows how to create restaurants and menus, so kudos to him. Food is a bit on the pricier side, but definitely worth every penny. I like the fact that the main meals come without sides, and that you can order them separately. My only criticism is that on a cold night, it is colder inside the restaurant than outside. And I think that is something that needs to be addressed. We opted to sit outside instead, close to the gas heater. But other than that, I would highly recommend a visit to Asada!

Abseloutely magnificent! Had a spectacular meal and such friendly service. The atmosphere is very rustic chic and give a beautiful feel like you're in a whole other world. Definitely a place worth going to! In the photo: A delicious fresh tuna steak that was abseloutely devine, tender and cooked to perfection!

Nice place to hang out and have dinner. We had the catch of the day - it was good but not outstanding! I would say one of the nicest places on Stanley Street

Asada is a real treat. Everyone's meal was delicious, even the kiddies option. Great value for such mouth watering food. Fantastic service makes it a well deserved 5 stars.

Service and drinks were fantastic!! As a pescatarian, I was very impressed! Best grilled tuna I've ever had! Would highly recommend and can't wait to go back! The atmosphere was an experience in its own. Note: grilled tuna was served with a beautiful side salad

Had the most fantastic evening at Asada. Mark, the owner, as well as our waitress Natasha made us feel like we were the only guests in the restaurant. Liked that all the waiters worked together even though it wasnt their table. The food was once again delicious, such awesome presentation, as well as flavour. The personal service was above and beyond any service we have ever received in PE. Just another reason this is one of my husbands favourite restaurants, and now also mine :)

Asada Restaurant has their own smoking room. They smoke their own meat! They also have fresh seafood, which you can choose and order. We ordered about 7 dishes for 5 of us to share. As you can imagine, we were super full after. I recommend the grilled fresh fish (check their catch of the day), grilled calamari (the best!) and smoked lamb.

If you want something different Asada is the place!!

Such a fresh idea with the New Orleans theme and the use of the fire pits for such wide range of foods. All tasty and out-of-the-box, good service, awesome range of drinks and meals, and very accommodating with ordering from Fushin next door whilst sitting at Asada - overall, can't wait to go back to try more!

I visited Asada on a late Saturday afternoon with the restaurant being fairly empty. The ambience was immediately set with great background music to set the mood. It was nice to smell the aroma of the in house smoker, which is directly opposite the seafood display and between them rests the bar. I ordered an Old Fashioned which was made before my eyes with impressive emphasis on details. It was one of the best Old Fashioneds I have had. Once at my table again I had starters of Spicy Baked Mussels, which were soft, easy to pick from the shell with a good heat from the sauce it was baked in. My main was the rump steak cooked medium, which they delivered as ordered served with a side of potato wedges with housemade tomato sauce (which reminded me of Willards Tomato flavored chips, which is not an insult but rather made me feel nostalgic). The steak was tender and flavored well from the fire with a mustard mayonaisse and side salsa accentuating the flavors of the meat. I finished my meal off with a Dom Pedro, a flavorful not overly sweet ice cream with a dash of Amarula liquer which was a fitting end to a truly wonderful dining experience. I will be returning in future and recommending you to all my friends. Well done on the excellent waiter Justin who was always helpful and insightful for the recommendation of dishes.
