Review Crossways Country Kitchen - Port Elizabeth

I absolutely love it here... the perfect place for a relaxed meal with peaceful surroundings. The food is so worth it no matter what you choose, and the cappuccinos you get are in my opinion some of the best I've tasted. I love their waitstaff, all so friendly. When we stop by and Lauren often helps us out with our meals, and she's lovely. I would recommend trying it out if you have the time.

Excellent, relaxed, open Country atmosphere. Lots of space for children or your dog. Cutest leather shoe keyrings. The Omelette & poach eggs were both excellent taste and value. We bought freshly baked bread to take home & fresh freezed juice

A must visit. A place in the countryside to have delicious meals. Loved every minute!

I looove this place. Best breakfast I've had at a restaurant. This is a relatively new establishment as far as I know. It's like a big farm village and I love it! It's a modernized country vibe.. love it. They are turning this place into an 'off-the-grid' estate which I think is super cool. They have a model of the whole 'estate' in the middel of the office next to the dining area and is free to view by the guests. My favorite feature is the airfield/airstrip, can't wait to be one of the 1st pilots to land there! Everything deserved a 6-Star rating! Food was delicious. Staff was sooo friendly, yet very experienced and professional. Atmosphere was so calm and relaxing. Very tranquil. I can not wait to visit again soon! I will refer everyone I know.

Amazing breakfast and scenery. Had eggs Royale which came perfectly done. Sit outside if the weather allows and enjoy the fresh air and the mountains.

It felt wonderful to be out in the country and experience lovely country style cooking. Staff are friendly and always laughing. Reasonably priced. Fresh ingredients are used. The chocolate milkshake was amazing. I also thoroughly enjoyed the amarula malva pudding. Great vibe.

We took a quick turn off the N2 and found this lovely restaurant for a light bite for lunch. It's a lovely setting next to the side of the mountain with mountain bike and hiking trails. We tried the pizza and some potato fries which were great. Planning on coming again when the market is on and bringing the kids.

Loved the MTB route we did and afterwards had the best milkshakes ever. Loved the setting and the waiters was very friendly.

Lovely Sunday breakfast with family. I selected the Barbarossa: poached eggs and honey glazed gammon on potato rosti with a salsa, which was heavenly. My husband's omelette was equally well presented and judging by the clean plate afterwards - very tasty! Worth the drive from P.E.

Was so looking forward to coming here as I've heard such good reviews, but unfortunately this Sunday it did not meet our expectations. The service as well as the food was very disappointing. The waitron didn't know the menu at all and we had to request that she go and ask the chef. She didn't know that the one item was not available and therefore we had to change our choice after ordering. The menu had a vegetarian platter with a beef and bean soup!! I am vegetarian and obviously don't eat meat. I asked what we could have in its place and the waitron just shrugged her shoulders- again I had to request that she go and ask the chef what I could have in its place. The platter was not very tasty at all and they had forgotten the bean cassoulet -when I enquired and finally it arrived, it was a small bowl of baked beans from the tin! Not very impressed at all. The ribs that were ordered at our table were very dry and tasteless. We had to ask for some sauce to be able to eat it. The fish cakes were tasty although contained a lot of potato and not much fish. Dessert time and I was so looking forward to some lemon sorbet which was advertised on the table. I wasn't surprised (but was disappointed) to find out that they didn't have and then when I asked what ice cream (gelato) they did have, the waitron said she didn't know and I should go and look in the little shop myself. Hmm. Not a nice experience at all and probably won't make the drive from St Francis again. Such a pity

I love this place! Been here a few times for breakfast. This week I stopped by on the way to Jeffreys Bay and even though they were closed, they still accommodated me at the shop. Most delicious pies and meals and very friendly, helpful, generous owners and staff.

Unfriendly waiter, food was cold. We requested that the wors not be overcooked like previously but still came seriously over cooked. Toast arrived awhile after breakfast so no chance of having your egg on your toast. Bacon was so fatty that you couldn't even eat it. Previously been happy but yesterday was more than disappointing.
