Review Two Olives - Port Elizabeth

Great food and service. Gorgeous atmosphere with a comfortable environment. This restaurant is mainly a tapas restaurant with a great selection of tastes. It also has a great seafood pizza. However, this is not a restaurant I would recommend for casual dinner. The prices are heavier than most restaurants (Not astronomical) and it is because of the quality of food. I would suggest this restaurant for a special date night that is not on a budget. For starters - The 3 cheese springrolls were delicious with the side of cranberry sauce, but this was not value for money. It technically is 2 springrolls cut in half for R60. The pork belly was slightly over-priced as well for what was on the plate, but the presentation of the dish saved the day. The salt and pepper squid with sweet pineapple was the best dish of the evening. I recommend this dish as it was different and tasty. Be aware that the deep fried balls of cheese (The Suppli) is filled with garlic. While I have no aversion to garlic, if you do - Avoid. The trio of dessert platter is a MUST with deep fried Lindt balls and the most delicious toblerone chocolate sauce. All-in-all a great experience.

Simply a nice place with good food, nice atmosphere and lovely staff. Its very clean look gives it a very modern twist offering coziness and welcoming and homy feeling.

This is a place that has never failed me on flavourful, fresh tasting food. It’s absolutely worth a try.

It felt wonderful to sit on the balcony and enjoy a glass of champagne and dessert. The staff were very friendly and sufficient. Loved it!

I thoroughly enjoyed the seafood platter at this quaint little restaurant. Will definitely be visiting it again.

Went for supper with friends and was very impressed. The serving staff went out of their way to make us comfortable, the tapas were divine, and we were warned beforehand what items were unavailable. I would recommend the prawn tempura, the flatbread, the lamb chops and the chicken livers. The outdoor seating gave us a lovely view of Stanley Street. My one complaint was that the red wine was warmer than ideal, but we were offered ice to rectify the situation.

Wow! . . . . service was really good and the food was amazing! We've been in South Africa a little over a week and this is the best meal we've has so far! We ordered about 12 tapas between 3 of us and e everything we ordered was top draw! It's advertised as a Greek restaurant but the tapas menu is considerable and seems more like Spanish/Portuguese restaurant to us. Particularly enjoyed the lamb spring rolls and chorizo croquettes. Excellent food - some of the best in PE. We usually order a number of tapas as our meal and you really can't go wrong with your order as everything is delicious! The staff are great too. My only slight critique is the somewhat bland/generic decor - I think they could do something more interesting and exciting to match the incredible food.

We’re from Jeffreys Bay. And every time we drove through especially for this restaurant. Every time is worth it. Flippen amazing! Best quality food, best service, best wine �. We LOVE the place.

Fantastic menu, really accommodating staff and the rest of the restaurant industry can learn from Two Olives what real dessert is. Further, dècor is good but if possible, aircon would be a nice improvement. They do have a sheltered veranda which is an option for a Summer's evening. I'm from the WC, but will definitely pop in again when in the area.

Superb service and the food is only but excellent. I will most defenitely recommend this place to all of my friends if ever they visit Port Elizabeth.

The food was of a good standard but the service was appalling. The waiter was slow, both physically and mentally. Did not inform me that the braised pork belly starter was not available until much later. The mains were good but the waiter who initially confused my drinks order, then disappeared for almost an hour at the end of the evening. The experience was pleasant enough but my standards may be a little more exacting.

What a disappointment! Started great and went downhill fast. Waiter decided to abandon our table and left another waiter to pick up the pieces. Side dish arrived when main course was already finished. Always was one of my favourite restaurants.

We had our director down from Durban so decided to try Two Olives. Where we were sitting we could hear them arranging the cutlery which was a bit irritating. One of the ladies didn't like that the food was brought to her in stages. Otherwise the food was absolutely divine. My steak was done to perfection and the dessert was divine �.

Excellent food and service. We had the lamb shank and ox tail. Big thumbs up. Alex was a superb waiter. Will def be back

Definitely one of PE's top restaurants! Once again had an awesome dining experience at Two Olives the past weekend, but were dissapointed when we saw that the Suppli was removed from the new menu. Any chance you guys will be adding it to the menu again?

Superb service and food!! We went there last night and they didn't have an open table. We later phoned and a gentleman by the name of Ben said there was a table open now and that we can come he will save it for us. Ben, who then was our waiter for the evening..he was so kind, helpful and efficient. The food was something out of this world!! Big ups to Ben, Management and everyone at Two Olives!! Most definitely going there again.. and again!! Thank you so much for a wonderful evening.

We moved to PE from Gauteng beginning of 2017, and have been exploring restaurants, as we are keen on good quality food, high standards of customer service and the exceptional dining experience. Having said that.. Two Olives meets all of the above criteria, plus beautiful decor, professional waiters and a welcoming ambiance. Highly recommended to those who appreciate food (works of art) prepared with passion and care.

Had a lovely evening out! Mezze starters, yellowtail & stake mains, trio dessert. Yummy all round.

It was a bit loud but the food more than made up for that! The pizza was out of this world and the tapas was different in a positive way.

The tapas style food made my day. With a special crush for the braised pork belly �. Great service ( if you expect food to be served in less than 10mn then go to mc donalds.. ) only reason i dont give 5* is that i missed my cocktail.. �

Once again we had the most amazingly delicious meal last night. Excellent service as well. Thank you for making last night memorable! So good to know that there is still restaurants in PE that serve consistently good food!
