Review Backstreet Grill - Port Elizabeth

We went there with my wife to have a nice dinner with wine and found this lovely place with fantastic steaks. Staff is very friendly and try to do their best to make your happy. Owner was always around, making good jokes and very friendly to the guests. Atmosphere is cosy with relaxing atmosphere. Definitely recommended.

I'd never been here before or even knew about the restaurant... but wow... a great surprise! Lovely atmosphere and THE most delicious and tender Fillet Steak I've ever eaten!! Our waiter was amazing! He took eight persons orders, without writing it down, and when he brought it to the table, he knew exactly who ordered what!!!. wow.. that's not seen very often. And such a pleasant person as well. This place is recommended... Five Stars all round. Thank you. Keep it up...

We absolutely love our frequent visits to Backstreet Grill. The food is amazing and excellent value for money, the service is outstanding and such a warm and welcoming ambiance. We've returned many times and have never been disappointed. Our favourite eatery in PE.

Visited for the first time. From entering until leaving the servicevwas superb. The food was excellent quality and very tasty. The overall feel of the restaurant is very warm and friendly. Definitely would recommend this place for a date night. The only negative is the car guards that are everywhere

Backstreet Grill is quite simply fantastic. The food is excellent. There is a simple menu meaning that they focus on quality and not quantity. The recent upgrade to the house was a brilliant decision. The decor and atmosphere makes you feel welcome. This is our choice for a steak dinner in PE.

5/5 - Great place for a date night out, with excellent quality food. Bit pricey but you get the quality you pay for. Took the better half here on the spur of the moment and was not disappointed. Her T-bone was perfect and the chips perfectly crisp. My Gourmet Steak was perfectly prepared and soft on the pallet. I really enjoyed the vegetable kebab. Great atmosphere and will definitely be paying them another visit.

This restaurant rewrite standards. The food is the best you can ask for. Lots of flavour and tender steaks. The service is impeccable and personal attention to detail from the owner. This is definitely a must!

We made a booking for Friday night. Our first time there. We had sirloin steak, lamb chops, kudu steak, pork ribeye all served with a scewer of vegies and fresh piping hot chips. We had the bread board starters with amazing toppings. Our waiter and I am really sorry for not remembering his name was amazing too. We had two bottles of wine. I guess what I am trying to say we had an amazing time. Amazing food and an amazing waiter. Definitely will be back many times. You have a winning menu loved every moment and every bite. Thank you for having us. Very highly recommend Backstreet Grill.

Highly recommended and was everything the reviews said it was and more. The food was first class and Sonwabo, our waiter, was friendly and efficient. The menu choice was limited, but hey, it's better to do a few dishes absolutely perfectly than lots of dishes not so well. Needless to say, the steak was the best I've had in years, perfectly cooked. Keep up the good work Backstreet Grill!

The best rump steak I have had in ages. As tender as a fillet and grilled to perfection as ordered. Great service and definately would recommend to all to try!

We were told about it and went to have a try and are very happy we did It's superb My Pork Rib Eye was totally delicious and my hubby's Fillet was equally so .. .. .. and we loved the vegetable sosaties We'll be back
